We proposed a blind watermarking for 3D mesh model using the patch CEGIs. The CEGI is the 3D orientation histogram with complex weight whose magnitude is the mesh area and phase is the normal distance of the mesh from the designated origin. In the proposed algorithm we divide the 3D mesh model into the number of patch that determined adaptively to the shape of model and calculate the patch CEGIs. Some cells for embedding the watermark are selected according to the rank of their magnitudes in each of patches after calculating the respective magnitude distributions of CEGI for each patches of a mesh model. Each of the watermark bit is embedded into cells with the same rank in these patch CEGI. Based on the patch center point and the rank table as watermark key, watermark extraction and realignment process are performed without the original mesh. In the rotated model, we perform the realignment process using Euler angle before the watermark extracting. The results of experiment verify that the proposed algorithm is imperceptible and robust against geometrical attacks of cropping, affine transformation and vertex randomization as well as topological attacks of remeshing and mesh simplification.
The study of pores, small penumbraless sunspots, can give us a chance to understand how strong magnetic fields interact with convective motions in the photosphere. For a better understanding of this interaction, we investigate the temporal variation of several tiny pores smaller than 2". These pores were observed by the Solar Optical Telescope (SOT) onboard Hinode on 2006 December 29. We have analyzed the high resolution spectropolarimetric (SP) data and the G-band filtergrams taken during the observation. Magnetic flux density and Doppler velocities of the pores are estimated by applying the center of gravity (COG) method to the SP data. The horizontal motions in and around the pores are tracked by adopting the Nonlinear Affine Velocity Estimator (NAVE) method to the G-band filter images. As results, we found the followings. (1) Darkness of pores is positively correlated with magnetic flux density. (2) Downflows always exist inside and around the pores. (3) The speed of downflows inside the pores is negatively correlated with their darkness. (4) The pores are surrounded by strong downflows. (5) Brightness changes of the pores are correlated with the divergence of mass flow (correlation coefficient > 0.9). (6) The pores in the growing phase are associated with the converging flow pattern and the pores in the decay phase with the diverging flow pattern. Our results support the idea that a pore grows as magnetic flux density increases due to the convergence of ambient mass flow and it decays with the decrease of the flux density due to the diverging mass flow.

In this paper, we describe the synthesis of robust and non-fragile $H^{\infty}$ state feedback controllers for linear systems with affine parameter uncertain tracking servo system of blu-ray disc drive, as well as static state feedback controller with polytopic uncertainty Similarity any other control system, the objective of the track-following system design for optical disc drives is to construct the system with better performance and robustness against modeling uncertainties and various disturbances. Also, the obtained condition can be rewritten as parameterized linear matrix inequalities(PLMIs), that is, LMIs whose coefficients are functions of a parameter confined to a compact set. We show that the resulting controller guarantees the asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed loop system in spite of controller gain variations within a resulted polytopic region.

The aim of this study was to propose a fusion and registration method with heterogeneous small animal acquisition system in small animal in-vivo study. After an intravenous injection of $^{18}F$-FDG through tail vain and 60 min delay for uptake, mouse was placed on an acryl plate with fiducial markers that were made for fusion between small animal PET (microPET R4, Concorde Microsystems, Knoxville TN) and Discovery LS CT images. The acquired emission list-mode data was sorted to temporally framed sinograms and reconstructed using FORE rebining and 2D-OSEM algorithms without correction of attenuation and scatter. After PET imaging, CT images were acquired by mean of a clinical PET/CT with high-resolution mode. The microPET and CT images were fusion and co-registered using the fiducial markers and segmented lung region in both data sets to perform a point-based rigid co-registration. This method improves the quantitative accuracy and interpretation of the tracer.

In this paper, we propose an automated segmentation method of femoral cartilage in knee MR images using multi-atlas-based locally-weighted voting. The proposed method involves two steps. First, to utilize the shape information to show that the femoral cartilage is attached to a femur, the femur is segmented via volume and object-based locally-weighted voting and narrow-band region growing. Second, the object-based affine transformation of the femur is applied to the registration of femoral cartilage, and the femoral cartilage is segmented via multi-atlas shape-based locally-weighted voting. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, we compared the segmentation results of majority voting method, intensity-based locally-weighted voting method, and the proposed method with manual segmentation results defined by expert. In our experimental results, the newly proposed method avoids a leakage into the neighboring regions having similar intensity of femoral cartilage, and shows improved segmentation accuracy.

In this paper, we proposed an approach to efficiently compress and transmit multiresoltion 3D lariat models for multimedia and very low bit rate applications. A personal facial model is obtained by a 3D laser digitizer, and further re-quantized at several resolutions according to different scope of applications, such as animation, video game, and video conference. By deforming 2D templates to match and re-quantize a 3D digitized facial model, we obtain its compressed model. In the present study, we create hierarchical 2D lariat wireframe templates are adapted according to facial feature points and the proposed piecewise chainlet affined transformation(PACT) method. The 3D digitized model after requantization are reduced significantly without perceptual loss. Moreover the proposed multiresoulation lariat models possessed of hierarchial data structure are apt to be progressively transmitted and displayed across internet.
This paper estimates and characterizes expected inflations using an affine term structure model based on the empirical stochastic process of the interest rates in Korea. The empirical results show that the expected inflation which marked above 4% before the global financial crisis has dampened and stabilized after the crisis. Moreover, we investigate the rationality of the various expected inflation measures in terms of the unbiasedness and efficiency and find that unbiasedness is not rejected across the all measures, while the efficiency cannot be empirically warranted. Besides, we run Granger causality tests and conclude that the expected inflations compiled from the Consensus, BOK-Expert have the cross-causality with the long-run actual inflation, while the expected inflation estimated from the term structure model has the cross-causality with the short-run actual inflation. These results connote that expected inflations collected from different sources and methods have their targets and horizons and the central bank needs to watch all of them with a balanced view instead of preferring one to the other.
This paper presents a system for image matching and recognition based on image feature detection and description techniques from artificial satellite photographs. We propose some kind of parameters from the varied environmental elements happen by image handling process. The essential point of this experiment is analyzes that affects match rate and recognition accuracy when to change of state of each parameter. The proposed system is basically inspired by Lowe's SIFT(Scale-Invariant Transform Feature) algorithm. The descriptors extracted from local affine invariant regions are saved into database, which are defined by k-means performed on the 128-dimensional descriptor vectors on an artificial satellite photographs from Google earth. And then, a label is attached to each cluster of the feature database and acts as guidance for an appeared building's information in the scene from camera. This experiment shows the various parameters and compares the affected results by changing parameters for the process of image matching and recognition. Finally, the implementation and the experimental results for several requests are shown.
Quantification of roughness plays an important role in modeling strength deformability and fluid flow behaviors of rock joints. A procedure was suggested to simulate joint roughness, and characteristics of the roughness was investigated in this study. Stationary fractional Brownian profiles with known input values of the fractal parameter and other profile properties were generated based on random midpoint displacement method. Also, a procedure to simulate three dimensional roughness surface was suggested using the random midpoint displacement method. Selected statistical roughness parameters were calculated for the generated self-affine profiles to investigate the attribute of roughness. Obtained results show that statistical parameters applied in this study were able to consider correlation structure and amplitude of the profiles. However, effect of data density should be tackled to use statistical parameters for roughness quantification.
Osteoarthritis is the most common chronic joint disease in the world. With its progression, cartilage thickness tends to diminish, which causes severe pain to human being. One way to examine the stage of osteoarthritis is to measure the cartilage thickness. When it comes to inter-subject study, however, it is not easy task to compare cartilage thickness since every human being has different cartilage structure. In this paper, we propose a method to assess cartilage defect using MRI inter-subject thickness comparison. First, we used manual segmentation method to build accurate atlas images and each segmented image was labeled as articular surface and bone-cartilage interface in order to measure the thickness. Secondly, each point in the bone-cartilage interface was assigned the measured thickness so that the thickness does not change after registration. We used affine transformation and SyGN to get deformation fields which were then applied to thickness images to have cartilage thickness atlas. In this way, it is possible to investigate pixel-by-pixel thickness comparison. Lastly, the atlas images were made according to their osteoarthritis grade which indicates the degree of its progression. The result atlas images were compared using the analysis of variance in order to verify the validity of our method. The result shows that a significant difference is existed among them with p < 0.001.
