A SHORT NOTE ON BIHARMONIC SUBMANIFOLDS IN 3-DIMENSIONAL GENERALIZED (𝜅, 𝜇)-MANIFOLDS

  • We characterize proper biharmonic anti-invariant surfaces in 3-dimensional generalized (${\kappa}$, ${\mu}$)-manifolds with constant mean curvature by means of the scalar curvature of the ambient space and the mean curvature. In addition, we give a method for constructing infinity many examples of proper biharmonic submanifolds in a certain 3-dimensional generalized (${\kappa}$, ${\mu}$)-manifold. Moreover, we determine 3-dimensional generalized (${\kappa}$, ${\mu}$)-manifolds which admit a certain kind of proper biharmonic foliation.

  • The Intelligent Space is a space where we can easily interact with computers and robots, and get useful service from them. In such a space, location information is very important, since the agents cannot provide proper service to a proper person at a proper location without location information. Our positioning system uses CCD cameras. It is important to decide where to arrange the cameras for the best localization depending on the tasks in the space. How to arrange cameras for the best localization is discussed in this paper.

PARANORMAL CONTRACTIONS AND INVARIANT SUBSPACES

  • It is shown that if a paranormal contraction T has no nontrivial invariant subspace, then it is a proper contraction. Moreover, the nonnegative operator Q = T/sup 2*/T/sup 2/ - 2T/sup */T + I also is a proper contraction. If a quasihyponormal contraction has no nontrivial invariant subspace then, in addition, its defect operator D is a proper contraction and its itself-commutator is a trace-class strict contraction. Furthermore, if one of Q or D is compact, then so is the other, and Q and D are strict ontraction.

임상실습 전 간호대학생의 올바른 손씻기와 실천에 대한 지각된 통제행위와 자기효능감의 영향 (Influences of Perceived Behavior Control and Self-efficacy on Proper Hand Cleansing and Hand Washing Practices among Pre-practicum Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate hand washing practice and proper hand cleansing among first and second year nursing students who are prone to be exposed to nosocomial infections, and to identify the influence of perceived behavior control and self-efficacy on hand washing practices and proper hand cleansing. Method: Data for 91 students were collected from a nursing college in a metropolitan city in Korea. Data were analyzed using descriptive, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 19.0. Result: The mean score for hand washing practice was 38.35 out of a possible score of 48, and the mean sore for proper hand cleansing was 18.63 out of a possible score of 28. The significant factors affecting student hand washing practice were 'residential type' (p=.016), 'perceived behavior control' (p=.021), and 'self-efficacy' (p=.033) which explained 19.9% of the variance. The significant factors affecting proper hand cleansing by the students were 'perceived behavior control' (p<.001) and 'regular exercise' (p=.026) which explained 29.8% of the variance. Conclusion: These results indicate a need for education programs on hand washing including strategies to improve perceived behavior control and self-efficacy to promote more effective hand washing practices.

일상적 도로관리를 위한 장비의 적정 보유대수 산정에 관한 연구 (Estimating Proper Number of Equipment for Ordinary Road Management Operations)

  • PURPOSES: This study provides a methodology for estimating proper number of equipment for ordinary road management works. METHODS: Utilizing a computerized data of record systems (KAMIS) in 18 regional offices, two evaluation indicators were calculated and then normalized for objective comparison. Applied magnifying factor to the outputs, the proper number of equipment can be estimated. RESULTS: As a result, proper number of equipment by regional offices were required 28% more than current conditions. CONCLUSIONS: Using the proposed a methodology, fundamental data for scientific and reasonable strategies can be stored as well as be used for the future plan for budget allocation.

  • It is really hard for the material factors to basically improve quality of life, since it is the only partial means of the survival and activity of life. Development of Eigen Shin-Tou-Jil(Proper Body·Earth materials), therefore, must be concentrated on providing man with essential meaning of life, not with simply economic advantage. Eigen Shin-Tou-Jil(Proper Body·Earth materials) which is formed through long passage of time in the original environments that include the climate and nature features of a special region, the representative examples are like Korea Bong-sam(a kind of genseng) of Yellow Earth etc. Unfolding the Eigen Shin-Tou-Jil(Proper Body·Earth materials) by the Algorithm of Human-ware means the development for manifesting individual eigen motives and traits as subject of behavior(Gene-ware). It is because all plants, animals, inanimate objects, including Human, have evolved with their own values in the ecosystem. It was reported that a Baeksong(white pine tree), grown well up in TongEeDong, Seoul, Korea had rarely grown up during the period suppressed by Japan. By the developments of Bio-Engineering, we also found that 40% of gene base sequence of C. Elegance(a kind of worm) is identical to that of characteristic Human. In this reason, through considering common characteristics between Human and Nature, the developments of Eigen Shin-Tou-Jil(Proper Body·Earth materials) must begin with epoch for manifesting and understanding individual's Eigen motives and traits as subject of behavior(Gene-ware)

  • Proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) is a method for extracting bases for modal decomposition from the ensemble of dynamic signals. Using the POD method, we analyzed the proper orthogonal modes (POMs) of AFM microcantilevers in dynamic mode operations such as Tapping Mode. The POMs and POVs (proper orthogonal values) were computed through MATLAB simulation for the 5-mode model of the microcantilever. We found that the POV portion of the higher POMs of the tapping microcanilever slightly increased in comparison with no tapping. This implies that the modal energy in the fundamental mode can be transferred to the higher modes during tapping.

  • The purpose of the paper is to study the notion of pseudo-slant submanifolds and the existence of some structures on a pseudo-slant submanifolds of nearly (${\varepsilon},{\delta}$)-trans-Sasakian manifold. Totally umbilical proper-slant submanifolds are worked out. We discuss the integrability of distributions on pseudo-slant submanifolds of nearly (${\varepsilon},{\delta}$)-trans-Sasakian manifold.
