As the spread of LBS(Location Based Service), MDT(Mobile Data Terminal) and PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) services using mobile terminals, various systems are under development to to manage the performance of these services. This paper describes a mobile performance management system which is implemented to test the performance of mobility between the user and the terminal or between the terminal and the mobile server automatically in the mobile-user field. The system has four modules: scenario management module, MDT monitoring, LBS monitoring, and PDA monitoring. The scenario management module manages the performance by monitoring all modules. The LBS monitoring module monitors LBS call attempt stage, call connecting stage, and LBS test for established connection. Thus, the LBS monitoring module manages the performance for every stage of the call. The MDT monitoring module monitors the performance according to the input command and the PDA monitoring module monitors according to the input from the set up and the execution menu.
In the focusing on the important of wireless internet, mobile terminal device plays a central role in tracking and coordinating terms in mobile business processing. Especially, mobile device has been considered as a key technology for embedded software and ubiquitous era. Because existing web environments is moving to wireless internet, the new concepts for wireless internet computing environments has gained increasing interest. Mobile agents provide a new abstraction for deploying over the existing infrastructures. Mobile application systems require the flexibility, adaptability, extensibility, and autonomous. New software developments methodology is required to meet the requirements. In this paper, we present an agent architectures model that allows compassable components with pluggable and independable. Our approach involves wrapping components inside a servlet. We have used the model and components to develop the PDA mobile agent.
Electronic Ink is a stored data in the form of the handwritten text or the script without converting it into ASCII by handwritten recognition on the pen-based computers and Personal Digital Assistants(PDAs) for supporting natural and convenient data input. One of the most Important issue is to search the electronic ink in order to use it. We proposed and implemented a script matching algorithm for the electronic ink. Proposed matching algorithm separated the input stroke into a set of primitive stroke using the curvature of the stroke curve. After determining the type of separated strokes, it produced a stroke feature vector. And then it calculated the distance between the stroke feature vector of input strokes and one of strokes in the database using the dynamic programming technique. We did various experiments and our algorithm showed high matching rate over 97.7% for only the Korean script and 94% for the data mixed Korean with the Chinese character.

The aged are faced with increasing risk for falls. The aged have more fragile bones than others. When falls occur, it is important to detect this emergency state because such events often lead to more serious illness or even death. A implementation of PDA system, for detection of emergency situation, was developed using 3-axis accelerometer in this paper as follows. The signals were acquired from the 3-axis accelerometer, and then transmitted to the PDA through a Bluetooth module. This system can classify human activity, and also detect an emergency state like falls. When the fall occurs, the system generates the alarm on the PDA. If a subject does not respond to the alarm, the system determines whether the current situation is an emergency state or not, and then sends some information to the emergency center in the case of an urgent situation. Three different studies were conducted on 12 experimental subjects, with results indicating a good accuracy. The first study was performed to detect the posture change of human daily activity. The second study was performed to detect the correct direction of fall. The third study was conducted to check the classification of the daily physical activity. Each test lasted at least 1 min. in the third study. The output of the acceleration signal was compared and evaluated by changing various postures after attaching a 3-axis accelerometer module on the chest. The newly developed system has some important features such as portability, convenience and low cost. One of the main advantages of this system is that it is available at home healthcare environment. Another important feature lies in its low cost of manufacture. The implemented system can detect the fall accurately, so it will be widely used in emergency situations.
Recently, As the increase in interaction between the person and the person, the people plentifully use a messenger. Thus, we propose a new messenger program, we call Hellow Fellow Messenger. The hollow fellow messenger has functions of general messenger such as chatting, note exchange, friend addition. Also, hollow fellow messenger provide with special function, which find friends satisfied conditions in PDA and PC environment. So, Client can find not only friend who is register already but also friend who is the possibility of seeing a movie and can comfortably talk together and so on. For this, server sends information for users satisfied in condition from databases to client and client selects a user among received information for users. Client-server communication is implemented using MFC[1].
In the prior works on tabletop systems, a projection-based tabletop surface is mostly used to display computer images, and the participants interact with the display surface by hand multi-touching or using some tangible objects. In this research, however, we developed the FishBowl game that employs a scalable tabletop tiled display with infrared camera tracking coupled with PDA mobile interfaces. The focus of this game is to enhance user interactivity and realistic experience by coupling the high-resolution tabletop virtual environment and PDA mobile interface. This paper describes the game design followed by the system design and its detailed implementations. It also discusses the system usability and recommendation for its improvements after interviewing game players and then concludes with future research directions.

Objectives : To develop and validate HPLC-PDA methods for simultaneous determination of seven constituents in Samsoeum(SSE). Methods : Reverse-phase chromatography using a Gemini C18 column operating at $40^{\circ}C$, and photodiode array(PDA) detection at 254 and 280 nm, were used for quantification of the seven marker components of SSE. The mobile phase using a gradient flow consisted of two solvent systems. Solvent A was 1.0% (v/v) aqueous acetic acid and solvent B was acetonitrile with 1.0% (v/v) acetic acid. Results : Calibration curves were acquired with $r^2$>0.9997, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) values (%) for intra- and inter-day precision were less than 3.0%. The recovery rate of each compound was in the range of 100.07-112.65%, with an RSD less than 4.0%. The contents of seven compounds in SSE were 1.24-10.53 mg/g. Conclusions : The established method will be helpful to improve quality control of SSE.
Mobile Multimedia Storage Server should provide to store and transfer a data that the number of concurrent datum by Personal Digital Assistant(PDA) requests in real time. simultaneously. But, While the large number of a PDA request connect to MTS (Mobile Translation Storage) server with BottleNeck problem in mobile internet environment by many constraints such as limited bandwidth can be introduced. This paper introduces an optimal method of new DVDS (Dynamic Variable Disk Scheduling) for MTS server which is based on the Weight Value to solve the BottleNeck problems that occur when transfer and store capture images through mounted digital camera on the PDA in real time simultaneously. The comparison with previous research shows that the proposed scheme provides better.

The present system of medium and large size ship when that's ship came alongside the pier, are not systemic. The steersman only depend on radio-communication, not visuality. This treatise bridge a gap of current system from development of simulation program The main-server get a distance from ship to peer and ship's direction using longitude and latitude, heading, rate. The steersman of main ship and tug will see all situation with PDA client program. The PDA client program directly display a location information from main-server. And ship's most suitable path be calculated simulation program using database system. This method will induce more detail situation information and the most suitable path when the ship coming alongside the pier.

These days the construction of extra-long piles increases. It is not unusual to install piles whose length exceed 45m. In such cases, the estimated value of negative skin friction becomes larger, often larger than the design load. In order to be sure of the safety of the super structure, the magnitude of the positive skin friction and the base bearing capacity should be known. In practice dynamic pile loading tests using PDA is the only possible measure to meet this requirement. However the analysis of dynamic pile loading test for such extra-long piles requires a thorough understanding of the pile-soil behaviour. In this paper, a new method to evaluate the positive skin friction and end bearing capacity from the normally performed PDA test is proposed. The proposed method was verified by performing specially designed pilot testings.
