Four-day bioassay method was used in this study to find out toxicity levels of DDT and PCP. From this study it was found that M. chrysophekadion was the most sensitive to DDT with a 96 h-TL sub(m) value of 0.0044 mg/l followed by P. Sutchi with a 96 h-TL sub(m) value of 0.0056 mg/l, and the most resistant was C. Siamensis with a 96 h-TL sub(m) value of 0.0133 mg/l. In the case of PCP, it was also found that M. Chrysophekadion and P. Sutchi were the first and second most sensitive to PCP with a 96 h-TL sub(m) value of 0.065mg/l PCP and 0.125mg/l PCP respectively, as in the case of DDT study. T. Nilotica was found to be the most resistant to PCP with a 96 h-TL sub(m) value of 0.264mg/l PCP. The resistant power of fish to pollution varies with the species of fish and the types of pollutants. In order of decreasing sensitivity of fish to DDT based on TL sub(m), the following sequence is obtained M. Chrysophekadion, P. Sutchi, T Nilotica, P. Gonionotus, K. Bicirrhis, L. Bicolor, C. Carpio, R. Heteromorpha, C. Siamensis while in the case of PCP, M. Chrysophekadion, P. sutchi, L. Bicolor, K. Bicirrhis, P. Gonionotus (R. Heteromorpha, R. Trilineata), C. Siamensis, C. Carpio, T. Nilotica.

Inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), one of the most commonly used instruments for metal analysis, was used to determine total uranium in soil. The method was named as "Modified ASTM C1345-96". When comparing with ASTM C1345-96, digestion time (2~3 days) was shorten to 7 hours and the treatment in furnace was eliminated. In analyses of 26 field soil samples, there was a significant difference in the average concentration of total uranium between modified ASTM C1345-96 and ASTM C1345-96 (F : 6.22 > Fc : 4.03, significance level : 0.05, n=26). The average concentration of modified ASTM C1345-96 was 1.8 times larger than that of ASTM C1345-96. In addition, modified ASTM C1345-96 was compared with other acid digestion methods for soil including ISO 11466, Modified ISO 11466, US EPA-3051, US EPA-3051A and US EPA-3052 using a certificated reference material (SRM 2711a, NIST) and field soil samples with different level of organic matter content (1.6%, 5.8%, 10.6%). Modified ASTM C1345-96 showed the best accuracy of 93.01% for SRM 2711a. Also, modified ASTM C1345-96 showed the higher extraction rates than other digestion methods by 11~45%.

96년도 원자력 발전량은 총발전량의 36.0$\%$인 739억2천만kWh로 95년보다 약69억kWh가 늘어났으며, 이용률은 95년 대비 0.2$\%$ 증가한 87.5$\%$로 역대 최고치를 기록하였다. 원전의 고장 정지는 96년에 11기에서 총 10회가 발생하여 호기당 평균 0.9회를 기록, 3년 연속 평균 1건 정도의 수준을 유지하고 있다. 96년 한 해 동안의 우리 나라 원자력발전소의 운영 실적을 각 분야별로 분석$\cdot$정리해 본다.

The aim of this presentation is to show the structures and characteristics of English-Korean Machine Translator 'Trannie 96' 'Trannie 06' consists of five main engines and various types of dictionaries. With respect to the engines, the English sentences filtered by Pre-processor are tagged and parsed. After the conversion form English sentence structure to Korean one, 'Trannie 96' constructs Korean sentence. As for dictionaries, each engine has more than one optimized dictionaries. The algorithms employed by this machine is based on Linguistic theories, which make it possible for us to produce speedy and accurate translation.

'96년도 각 부처별 정보화 정책과 정보산업육성시책을 종합적으로 파악할 수 있으며 또한 자사의 사업수립과 경영활동에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 보며, 본고에서는 정보화 정책 포럼(정보통신부, 초고속정보통신망구축기획단, 교육부, 국방부, 건설교통부, 총무처, 통상산업부 내무부) 내용중 '96년도 사업계획을 발췌하여 게재하였다.
