The paper deals with the problems of environmental sanitation, especially in transportation, hotels, restaurants and public gathering places which are desirable to be improved for the 24th Seoul Olympic Games 1988. Suggestions are made for better attitudes and practices for the employees and citizens to maintain the higher standards of cleanliness of personal, premises and the environment.

인간의 인간다운 삶의 영위를 강조하는 교회의 이념을 실현하기 위하여 일찌기 우리교회는 장애자복지사업에 힘써왔다. 10월에 있을 「88서울장애자올림픽」을 앞두고 지난 9월에 열린 「한국가톨릭장애자신앙대회」는 장애자들에게 자신감을 심어주고 사회적인 인식을 높히기 위해 교회안에서 처음 시도된 큰 행사였다. 이 신앙대회는 정상인과 장애인 모두가 하느님에 동등한 인격자라는 인식 아래 사회가 이들이 원하는 바를 이해하고 수용하여 서로 협조해야 한다는 인식을 새롭게 하고 이해를 높이는 좋은 계기가 됐다고 본다. 이글은 (사)한국장애자재활협회발행 강세윤 교수 편저 「장애예방 및 치료」중에서 그 일부를 소개한다. 장애자복지증진에 동참하는 모든 분들께 다소나마 도움이 되기를 바란다.-편집자 주-

사우디아라비아에서는 한국인들을 부지런하고 성실하며 기술력을 갖춘 엘리트민족이라고 부른다. 그들이 이렇게 생각하는 이유는 1970년대 중동진출 붐이 일면서 우리나라 건설업체들이 숨쉬기 거북할 정도로 뜨겁고 건조한 열사의 사우디아라비아에서 몸사리지 않고 성실한 시공을 했기 때문이다. 또한 사우디에서 주목하는 중요한 공사들을 한국 건설사들이 대부분 성공적으로 수행했을 뿐만 아니라 88서울올림픽, 2002년 한일월드컵 등으로 한국을 보는 시각이 많이 달라졌기 때문이다. 과거 70년대 중동진출 초기 한국 기업들로 이뤄진 컨소시엄에 미국 유럽계 기업이 없다고 퇴짜를 놓았던 사우디 정부는 최근들어 한국기업이 시공 뿐 아니라 주요 자재공급까지도 맡는 수준이 되자 한국기업과 한국인을 대하는 태도가 달라진 것이다. 한화건설과 기계설비 시공업체인 (주)정풍개발(대표 김성언)은 사우디아라비아 얀부지역에서 사우디아라비아인들의 삶의 질 향상을 위해 발전시설 및 담수화플랜트 시공을 하고 있다.

우리나라에서 현재 적용중인 배전용 지중케이블은 1973년 처음 도입되어 도시의 중심 번화가와 변전소 인출개소 및 신도시 택지개발 지역 둥에 주로 설치되어 현재는 약 17,231 C-km (2002.12말 기준)에 이르고 있다. '86 아시안 게임과 '88 서울올림픽을 대비해 설치했던 케이블들은 설치 당시의 열악한 제작, 시공 및 관리 기술의 부족으로 많은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이런 불량케이블이나 20년 이상된 노후케이블의 절연상태를 파악하기 위해 현재 적용 기준으로 되어있는 등온완화전류법을 이용한 열화진단장비를 현장에 적용해 보고 사례를 분석해보므로써 이 장비의 문제점과 향후 개선방향을 모색해 보았다.

현재, Tensergrity의 개념을 도입한 Hybrid구조시스템이 전 세계적으로 관심을 모아 세계 곳곳에서 다양한 용도와 형태, 규모로 연구, 계획, 건설 중이다. 국내에서도 88서울올림픽과 '93년 대전세계 Expo와 같은 대규모 이벤트를 통해 다양한 용도를 해결할 수 있는 초대형 공간에 많은 관심을 갖게 되었으며, 현재 스팬 300m인 부산 스타디움 지붕구조에 건설 중이며, 포철 분당돔, 롯데의 잠실돔 등의 건설계획이 추진되고 있으나 대부분 외국의 기술에 의존하고 있는 상태이며, Hybrid 구조시스템에 관한 국내의 체계적인 기술축적(국내의 연구 및 계획, 시공, 구조기준 등)은 거의 전무한 상태이다. 산업발전, 경제력향상 및 21세기를 향한 국가간의 무한 기술경쟁시대에 접어들고 있는 현 시점에서, 향후 국내에서도 Hybrid 구조시스템에 대한 연구가 많이 이루어져야 하겠으며, 그 결과에 의해 국내의 독자적인 기술개발을 위한 가능성을 한차원 높일 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

In the 1980s, private security was established in the framework of institutional framework with the Security Industry Act which was enacted in 1976. The agents who brought in the development of the private sector in 1980 enjoyed a boom in the global economy, affected by its high-flying dollar value, low international interest rate, low oil prices, and the blooming economy. In addition, the semiconductor, computers and communications equipment that was promoted in accordance with the e-Literacy plan were raised. Following the economic development of various events such as Seoul International Trade Fair, "86 Asian Games," and "88 Seoul Olympic Games," private security expenses were enhanced by increasing awareness of civilian expenses. Also, in the 1980s, Korean investment in foreign companies, including Japan's Secom, or Korean technology, brought many changes to the private security. Meanwhile, the cost of security, which has been centered around human expenses, has brought about the era of mechanized spending, or machine security expenses. The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze the social environment surrounding the private security in the 1980s and systematically analyze the important factors that contribute to private security.

본 연구는 고속도로 40개선을 중부 남부 그룹으로 나누어 종단경사, 월별, 가해자연령구간 측면에서 사고 특성을 파악함으로써 유의하게 지역별 고속도로 사망사고를 높이는 요인을 분석하고자 했다. 조사된 노선 중 88올림픽선, 남해선, 호남선, 울산선 등을 포함한 18개 고속도로 노선을 남부 그룹으로, 경인선, 영동선, 서울외곽순환선 등을 포함한 11개 고속도로 노선을 중부 그룹으로 나누어 비교 분석 결과는 다음과 같았다. 고속도로에서의 사망사고 주요 원인의 비율 1위 과속, 2위 주시태만으로 비슷했으나 남부 고속도로 그룹은 요인 중 졸음에만 유의했다. 중부 고속도로 그룹에서도 졸음 시 유의하게 나타났으며 남부보다 오즈비가 1.22배 높게 나타났다. 추가로 중부 고속도로 그룹에서 주시태만(오즈비 1.477), 운전자기타(오즈비 0.347)이 유의하게 도출되었다.

International society got a severe shock from terrorism of hostage, abduction and murder that was committed on a target of Israel athlete delegation in Munich Olympics, West Germany by Black September, a Palestine terrorism organization. Korea with 1986 Asian Games and 1988 Olympics ahead was directly and indirectly exposed to threats of North Korea's nation-support terrorism, a military provocation and a local war limited warfare. This study explores the roles of the police at the time of the National Police Headquarters with regard to counter-terrorism, and analyzed academic research trends of Studies of Counter-terrorism published by the same office between 1983 and 1990. Looking into them shows a fact firstly, that the most frequently appearing key words in common were "terrorism," "hostages," "measures," and "international," etc. Secondly, before and after 1988 Olympics, the key word "Olympics" was frequently addressed. Thirdly, looking at the difference by the year, the key word, "policies of defense and borderlands" was frequently addressed between 1983 and 1984, "terrorism against South Korea," and "civil aircraft" frequently addressed in 1985, and "corporate" in 1986. In 1987, the key word "terrorism trends" was addressed, and in 1990, "international terrorism," and "separatism" were used.

Except for traditional industrial art and history of design development, Korea jewelry industry before 1980's, had little meaning in the aspect of marketing and business. Domestic jewelry market which have changed from the value of goods to value of ornaments, faced important transition point for jewelry industry by the chance of in Asian Game held in 1986, and money of overseas traveler after 1980s. The rapidly-grown Jewelry field by the introduction of detail casting method to make it possible mass-production of the products before 1990's, began to change into new system, with introducing CAD/CAM after 1990's. Jewelry industry has changed from manual work called handmade to the detail casting industry based on master for mass-production. For this, the development of master, with the design development, have been suggested as important task to jewelry industry firms, and by the introduction of CAD/CAM, the diversification of design and master development has been made up. In this study, we would try to find out current status of domestic jewelry field and to understand CAD/CAM, and advantage of CAD/CAM, and through this, suggest good solution to precipitate domestic jewelry market.
