This paper presents the development of a deadweight type 6-component force/moment generator for estimating characteristics of multi-component loadcell. Several new methods in moment generation are introduced in order to produce accurate force / moment and to minimize coupling effect between each force or moment components. In order to verify the reliability of the calibration system developed, estimation of the method for generating moment components and cross measurements between force or moment components are carried out utilizing a commercial torque cell and both-ends fixed beam designed in this paper.

The six-components force measurements systems for rocket motors are used to measure multi components force generated by TVC(Thrust Vector Control) motors. This paper suggested the modeling scheme which is used in preliminary design and test analysis procedure and which can be applied to the existing other test stand in operation. The model whose parameters are determined by least square method makes the design engineer build the test stand to satisfy all kinds of requirements such as accuracy, operating condition and structural stability without tradeoff among the requirements. The experimental results shows that the proposed model has better accurate performances than those of other existing model.

This paper presents the design and the evaluation of the 6-component force/moment calibration machine which h a s t h e maximum capacities of 500 N in forces and 50 Nm in moments. This calibration machine consists of body. fixture. force generating system, moment generating system. The expanded uncertainty of the calibration machine is evaluated by calculating the A type uncertainty. $U_A$ and B type uncertainty, $U_B$. The evaluation results. this system has the expanded uncertainty of less than $2{\times}10^[-2]$ in respective force and moment components.

In this study, forces and moments were measured on a projectile which consisted of a missile configuration body(shell) and a head installed control fins. The shell and the head were separated each other and the shell was rotated by an electric motor. The head rotated reversely against the rotational direction of the shell. The rotational force on the head was obtained from a couple of fixed fins of which angular displacement were set to the rotational direction equally. The air velocity was 40m/s on the experiment and the Reynolds number based on the diameter of head was $1.3{\times}10^5$. The other couple of fins were used to control the position and direction of the projectile by changing the angular displacement. From this experiment, the variation of force and moment were measured on the rotating projectile, and the effective amplitude and frequency were obtained through the FFT analysis.

In this work, experiments on hybrid sounding rocket were conducted to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics and analyze longitudinal static stability. Tests were performed on 1/10 scale models of sounding rocket through Mach number ranging from 1.75 to 2.5 and for angle of attack from $0^{\circ}$ to $6^{\circ}$. Aerodynamic forces and moments were measured by means of a 4 component internal balance. With measured forces and moments, static stability characteristics of rocket were calculated. Tests were made for three models with different length to determine the effect of body length. The visualization of shock waves was carried out by Schlieren optical system to observe variations of shock waves with Mach number and angle of attack.
Propeller performance measurement system for commercial propeller was designed and applied to the wind tunnel test for 3 commercial propeller models with diameters of 30 inch. The thrust and torque of the propeller was directly measured by using 6-components balance installed on the rotating axis. The measurement system was validated by using wind tunnel balance calibration equipment. Propeller test stand including measurement and rotating system was validated by using QTP propeller. In the hovering condition, we compared the performance test results and the specifications of the commercial propeller provided by the manufacturer and confirmed that there are differences in the thrust and the torque. We measured the propeller performance with various wind speeds, propeller models and angles of attack and was summarized by thrust coefficients. We confirmed that the trend of the thrust coefficients was different in the low angle of attack and high angle of attack. An aerodynamics database that can be used for future aerodynamic design of an unmanned aerial vehicle was secured.
This paper presents the rotating test techniques and the results of the roating test of the small-scaled hingeless rotor system with composite paddle blades in hover and forward flight conditions. The small-scaled rotor system was designed using froude-scaled properties of full scale rotor system. Metal flexures and composite flexures were made as hub flexures by the same dynamic properties of rotor system. The rotating tests of hingeless rotor system installed in GSRTS at KARI were carried out to get lead-lag damping ratios and aerodynamic loads of the hingeless rotor system. MBA(Moving Block Analysis) technique was used for the estimation of lead-lag damping ratio. 6-components balance was installed between hub and main shaft and straingauges on blades were instrumented for the measurements of aerodynamic loads of rotor system. Tests were performed on the ground and in the wind tunnel according to the test conditions of hover and forward flight, respectively.
Surgical microscrews were introduced and used as one method to provide absolute anchorage. Some clinicians implanted microscrews or miniscrews into the basal bone below the roots of the teeth to evade damage to the roots. Because the implanted microscrews were positioned too low the applied force was insufficient to retract the anterior teeth or protract the posterior teeth, and the use of microscrews or miniscrews seemed limited in applying vertical force. However Park implanted microscrews(micro-implants (1.2mm in diameter)) into the alveolar bone between the roots of the posterior teeth to change the direction of the applied force toward increasing horizontal component of the force. Moreover, these microscrew implants were positioned in the alveolar bone between the roots without causing discernable damage to the roots. This study was performed to provide guidelines and anatomic data to assist in the determination of the safe location for micro-implants. By measuring the CT images from 21 patients, anatomical data were obtained which were then used as a guide to determine the location for the implantation of micro-implants. The thickness of the cortical bones at the alveaolar bone region increased from the anterior to the posterior teeth area. The mandibular posterior teeth area showed thicker cortical bone. A greater distance was observed in distance between the second premolar root and first molar root in the upper arch, between the first molar root and the second molar root in the lower arch. The alveolar bone of the posterior teeth area is considered the best site for the implantation of micro-implants.

A high Reynolds number transonic wind tunnel has been built in 2018 at Agency for Defense Development(ADD). The tunnel has a closed circuit with a 1.5m×1.5m test section and is injection driven from a 140bar air supply system. The Mach number range is 0.3-1.2 with a conventional contracting nozzle and 1.4 with a convergent-divergent contraction. The stagnation pressure range is 100-550kPa at the lowest Mach number. An AGARD-B standard model is tested in the transonic wind tunnel to obtain 6-DOF aerodynamic coefficients. The results are compared with those obtained from ADD trisonic wind tunnel and others. We verify that the transonic wind tunnel become available to develop an aircraft from the testing results.

Cruciform parachute has advantage in manufacture and expanse compare with circular parachute. But it has disadvantage in stability. Wind tunnel test were conducted to investigate the effects of reefing-line on the cruciform parachutes with the purpose of finding aerodynamics characteristics of the parachute such as drag coefficient, normal force coefficient. Aerodynamics characteristics are measured accurately with 6-components pyramidal balance and load cells which were installed in the fixed-body. Four different models were tested and the test results were compared with each other. The aerodynamics characteristics were changed with reefing-line length. Separation edge was developed due to reefing-line also it made increasing of the stability. The cruciform parachute which improve stability is supposed to be used in variety purpose.
