실리카계 물질에 의한 산화철 입자의 표면개질 (Surface Modification of Iron Oxide Particle by Silica-contained Materials)

  • 본 실험에서는 물유리를 사용하여 산세척에 의하여 제조된 산화철 입자의 표면개질에 대하여 연구하였다. 사용한 물유리의 $SiO_2$$Na_2O$의 몰비($SiO_2/Na_2O$)는 1, 2, 3.5이였다. 첨가되는 실리카의 양과 pH에 따라 산화철 현탁액의 분산성을 입자의 표면하전과 침강속도에 의하여 평가하였다. 그리고, 중성 영역에서 산화철 입자의 분산안정성을 유지할 수 있는 표면개질제(실리카)의 양을 도출하였으며, 물유리에 의한 산화철 입자의 표면개질을 습식 볼밀링에 의하여 슬러리 상태에서 실시하였다. 그 결과, 표면처리한 산화철 현탁액의 분산 안정성은 실리카의 양과 pH에 상호 의존하였다. 미처리한 산화철은 등전점인 pH 8에서 분산안정성을 잃고 있었으나, 산화철에 대하여 약 0.8wt%의 실리카로 표면처리한 산화철은 pH 5 이상 중성영역에서 분산안정성을 나타내었으며, 음이온성 계면활성제를 0.2wt% 이상 첨가에 의한 분산안정성이 더욱 증가되었다.

Effect of a 12-week weight management program on the clinical characteristics and dietary intake of the young obese and the contributing factors to the successful weight loss

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The objectives were to investigate the effect of a 12-wk intervention with behavioral modification on clinical characteristics and dietary intakes of young and otherwise healthy obese and to identify factors for successful weight loss. The goal was to lose 0.5 kg per week by reducing 300-500 kcal/day and by increasing physical activities. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: Forty four obese subjects (BMI > 25) and 19 normal weight subjects (BMI 18.5-23) finished the 12-week intervention. Obese subjects participated in 5 group educations and 6 individual counseling sessions. Normal weight subjects attended 6 individual counseling sessions for evaluations of dietary intake and exercise pattern. Anthropometric and clinical characteristics and 3-day dietary records were evaluated at baseline and week12. RESULTS: Weight and serum triglyceride and free fatty acid concentrations in obese group decreased significantly with intervention. Intakes of energy, fat, and cholesterol decreased significantly in the obese. Active participation, realistic weight loss goal setting, and weight gain after high school graduation not during childhood were identified as key factors for successful weight loss. CONCLUSIONS: The 12-week intervention with behavioral modification resulted in reduced energy and fat intakes and led to significant weight loss and improvements of clinical characteristics in the obese. The finding that those who became obese during childhood lost less weight indicates the importance of 'early' intervention.

덱스트란수크라제를 이용한 전분의 변형 및 특성 조사 (Modification of Starch using Dextransucrase and Characterization of the Modified Starch.)

  • 덱스트란수크라제는 sucrose를 이용하여 덱스트란의 합성을 촉진하는데 sucrose이외에 다른 탄수화물이 효소 반응기 중에 존재하는 경우에는 sucrose의 glucose기를 이 탄수화물에 전달하는 반응을 촉진하여 새로운 구조의 산물을 생산한다. Leuconostoc mesenteroides B-742CB로 부터 얻은 덱스트란수크라제를 이용하여 입자 전분과 호화 전분에 sucrose의 glucose를 수식함으로써 변형을 시도하였다. 사용한 전분의 종류(Small starch 또는 Potato starch)에 따라 그리고 전분의 상태(입자 혹은 호화된 상태)에 따라 이론적 수율의 46-72%(s.d.<${pm}$5)를 얻었다. 변형 전분을 ${alpha}$-amylase, isoamylase, pullulanase 그리고 endo-dextranase로 처리하여 변형 전의 전분과 가수분해 상태를 비교한 결과 변형전의 산물에 비해 이들 가수분해효소에 대해 저항성을 보였다. 변형에서 얻어진 산물들의 methylation결과 입자 전분을 이용한 변형 반응의 산물의 변형 정도가 더 컸으며, 변형입자를 SEM으로 관찰하면 불규칙한 크기의 작은 조각의 산물을 확인할 수 있었다. 변형 반응으로 sucrose의 glucose가 전분 glucose의 C3, C4, 그리고 C6 위치의 free-OH group에 수식된 새로운 구조의 변형 산물을 생산하였고 이는 iodine에 의한 염색 정도를 크게 감소시켰으며 용해성을 증가시켰다.

단속교통류에서 강우시 평균통행속도 산정을 위한 보정계수에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Modification Value for Estimation of Traveling Speed During Rainfall in Interrupted Traffic Flow)

  • 일반적으로 도로의 혼잡상태나 운영상태를 평가하기 위한 효과척도로서 연속류에서는 V/C비를 이용하고, 단속류에서는 평균통행속도를 이용한다. 연속류 및 단속류의 운영상태를 평가하기 위한 효과척도에는 도로조건과 교통조건이 주요한 변수로 적용된다. 그런데 도로 및 교통조건외에 강우시와 같은 기상여건이 도로의 운영상태에 영향을 준다. 연속류에서는 강우시 기상상태를 반영한 보정계수에 대한 연구가 선행되어 있으나, 단속류에서는 관련 연구가 미비하다. 본 연구에서는 단속교통류에서 평균통행속도를 산정할 때 반영할 수 있는 강우시 통행속도 감소에 대한 보정계수를 산정하였다. 도로 및 교통조건이 동일하고 강우시 및 비강우시 등 기상조건이 다를 때 강우시 통행속도를 종속변수로 하는 회귀분석을 시행함으로써 강우시 통행속도 보정계수를 산정하였다. 회귀분석을 통하여 산정된 강우시 보정계수는 첨두시간대, 비첨두시간대, 전시간대로 구분하여 산정하였다. 본 연구를 통한 강우시 통행속도 보정계수를 이용하여 기존에 이용되고 있는 도시내 도로의 운영상태를 평가하기 위한 평균통행속도 산정식을 보완할 수 있다.

  • Under the leadership of the National Institute of Meteorological Sciences (NIMS), the first domestic autonomous flight-type weather modification experimental drone for fog and lower-level cloud seeding was developed in 2021. This drone is designed based on a multi-copter configuration with a maximum takeoff weight of approximately 25 kg, enabling the installation of up to four burning flares for seeding materials and facilitating weather observations (temperature, pressure, humidity, and wind) as well as aerosol (PM10, PM2.5, and PM1.0) particle measurements. This research aims to introduce the construction of the drone and its recent applications over the past two years, providing insights into the experimental procedures, effectiveness verification, and improvement directions of the weather modification drone-based rain enhancement. In particular, partial confirmation of the experimental effects was obtained through the fog dissipation experiment on December 10, 2021, and the lower-level cloud seeding case study on October 5, 2022. To enhance the scope and rainfall amount of weather modification experiments using drones, various technological approaches, including adjustments to experimental altitude, seeding lines, seeding amount, and verification methods are necessary. Through this research, we aim to propose the development direction for weather modification drone technology, which will serve as foundational technology for practical application of domestic rain enhancement technology.

Fenton 산화를 이용한 김포매립지 침출수내 난분해성 (A Study on the Removal of Refractory Organic Matter in Leachate sampled at Kimpo Landfill by means of Fenton Oxidation Process)

  • This study was carried out to find the optimal condition to treat refractory organic matter which can’t treat clearly with biological treatment and to find the optimal division dosage and division dose timing in the modification of Fenton oxidation which is used resolve the problem that hydrogen peroxide is too expensive. The results are following; 1. The highest TOC removal efficiency was 41% and color removal efficiency was 64% when the dilution magnitude of leachate is fold. This suggests that dilution is efficiency when high concentration of leachate is treated. 2. The removal efficiency of TOC and color increased up to the molar ratio between ferrate and hydrogen peroxide was 1:1. However above that ratio, removal efficiency hardly increased. The highest removal efficiency of TOC and color were 38% and 71% when the mole ratio of ferrate to hydrogen peroxide was 1.5:1. 3. When the mole ratio between ferrate and hydrogen peroxide was fixed, the removal efficiency of TOC and color increased as the dosage of hydrogen peroxide increased. 4. pH of samples were adjusted at pH 3, 5, 7, 9, 11. After oxidation reaction, pH of samples were dropped to 2.59, 2.54, 5.34, 6.36 and 9.68. The highest color removal efficiency was 75.7% when initial pH was at pH 7. 5. The removal of TOC and color was ended within 10. min. and the removal efficiency increased logarithmically within 10min. However after 10 min., the removal efficiency of hardly increased. 6. The color removal efficiency was higher with modification of fentone oxidation than that with fentone oxidation by 5%. Optimal division dosage ratio was 1:1 and optimal dose timing ratio was 2:1. However the TOC removal efficiency was not higher with modification of Fenton oxidation than that with Fenton oxidation.7. The CO $D_{Mn}$ /BO $D_{5}$ Ratio decreased with the time went by. It meant bioresolution increased as time went by. However, after 15 min., the CO $D_{Mn}$ /BO $D_{5}$ Ratio did not decrease any more. 8. In the case of $H_2O$$_2$ Divisiom Dose experiment, the increase of bioresolution was highest at the $H_2O$$_2$ Division dosage Ratio of 3:7.3:7.

이온빔보조 반응법을 이용한 고분자 표면의 친수성처리와 그 응용 (Hydrophilic surface formation of polumer treated by ion assisted reaction and its applications)

  • Polycarbonate (PC) and Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) surface was modified by ion assisted reaction (IAR) technique to obtain the hydrophilic functional groups and improve the wettability. In conditions of ion assisted reaction, ion beam energy was changed from 500 to 1500eV, and ion dose and oxygen gas blown rate were fixed $1\times10^{16}$ ions/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and 4ml/min, respectively. Wetting angle of water on PC and PMMA surface modified by $Ar^+$ ion without blowing oxygen at 4ml/mon showed $5^{\circ}$ and $10^{\circ}$. Changes of wetting angle with oxygen gas and $Ar^+$ ion irradiation were explained by considering formation of hydrophilic group due to a reaction between irradiated polymer chain by energetic ion irradiation and blown oxygen gas. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis shows that hydrophilic groups such as -C-O, -(C=O)- and -(C=O)-O- are formed on the surface of polymer by chemical interaction. The polymer surface modification using ion assisted reaction only changed the surface physical properties and sept the bulk properties. In comparison with other modification methods, the surface modification by IAR treatment was chemically stable and enhanced the adhesion between metal and polymer surface. The applications of various kinds of polymer surface modification methods, metal and polymer surface. The applications of various kinds of polymer surface modification could be appled to the new materials about hydrophilic surface properties by IAR treatment. The adhesion between metal film and polymer measured by Scotch tape test whether the hydrophilic surfaces could improve the adhesion strength or not.

TiNT/Ti 광아노드의 광전기화학 특성에 미치는 Ni 금속의 영향 (Inverse effect of Nickel modification on photoelectrochemical performance of TiNT/Ti photoanode)

  • Nanomaterial architecture with highly ordered, vertically oriented $TiO_2$ nanotube arrays shows a good promise for diverse technological applications. As inspired from the literature reports that Nickel modification can improve the photocatalytic activity of $TiO_2$, it was planned to coat Ni into the $TiO_2$ matrix. In this study, first $TiO_2$ nanotubes(TiNTs) were prepared by anodization (60V,3min) in HF-free aqueous electrolyte on ultrasonically cleaned polished titanium sheet substrates ($1{\times}7cm^2$). The typical thickness of the sintered TiNT ($500^{\circ}C$for10min) was ~1 micronas confirmed from the FESEM study. In the next part, as-anodized and sintered TiNT/Ti photoanodes were used to coat Ni by AC electrodeposition from aqueous 0.1M nickel sulphate solution. During AC electrodeposition, conditions such as 1V DC offset voltage, 9V amplitude (peak-to-peak) and 750 Hz frequency were fixed constant and the deposition time was varied as 0.5 min, 1 min, 2 min and 10 min. The photoelectrochemical performance of pristine and Ni modified TiNT/Ti photoanodes was measured in 1N NaOH electrolyte under 1 SUN illumination in the potential range of -1V and 1.2V versus Ag/AgCl reference electrode. The photocurrent performance of TiNT/Ti photoanode decreased upon Ni modification and the results were confirmed after repeated experiments. This suggests us that Ni modification inhibits the photoelectrochemical performance of $TiO_2$ nanotubes.

Video프로그램을 통한 환자교육이 결핵환자 치료이행행위에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Behavior Modification on Enhancing Patient Adherence to Tuberculosis Treatment Regimens)

  • Most efforts to improve tuberculosis treatment adherence target the patient and his or her behavior. This study examined the effects of behavioral modification training for these patients. Based on Bandura's behavioral principles of modeling, intervention strategies using a video program were devised to elicit specific patient target behaviors considered to improve patients' adherence to tuberculosis treatment regimens. A random assignment, two-group(experimental group and control group) research design including 81 subjects was used. The main outcomes measured were pill taking measured with the Medication Event Monitoring System(MEMS) Medication Cap, patients' self-efficacy, and their knowledge of tuberculosis. The findings are as follows : 1) There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in patients' feelings of self-efficacy. That is, the patients who received the behavior modification program showed greater feeling of self-efficacy to initiate and change their behavior for the tuberculosis treatment regimen than the patients who did not receive the program(t=3.51, p=0.01). 2) There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in patients' knowledge of tuberculosis. That is, the patients who received the behavior modification program showed higher level of knowledge of tuberculosis than the patients who did not receive the program(t=2.15, p=0.03) 3) There was a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in patients' adherence to tuberculosis treatment regimens. That is, the patients who received the behavior modification program showed greater adherence to the treatment regimens than the patients who did not receive the program(t=5.11, p=0.00). The study findings provided useful insights into nursing practice, particularly in planning intervention strategies aimed at enhancing patients' adherence in tuberculosis that may also be relevant to other chronic diseases with patient adherence problems.

자바 바이트 코드를 이용한 인터넷 통신의 애플릿 제어 (A Study on Applet Control on the Internet Communication using Java Bytecode)

  • 웹 브라우저에서 자바 애플릿 파일은 시스템의 가상머신에 의해 클라이언트 브라우저의 가상 머시인을 실행한다 자바애플릿을 실행하기 전에 자바 가상머신은 bytecode 수정자를 이용하여 bytecode 프로그램을 검색하며 해석기를 이용하여 실시간 테스트를 수행한다. 그러나 이러한 테스트들은 서비스 거부공격, 이메일 위조 공격 URL 추적공격 또는 지속적인 사운드 공격과 같은 원하지 않은 실행시간 동작을 예방할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 애플릿을 보호하기 위해 자바바이트 코드 수정기술이 사용한다 수정기술은 검사를 수행할 적절한 바이트코트를 삽입함으로서 애플릿 동작을 제안한다. 자바 바이트 수정은 두 개의 형태고 분류되며 클래스 레벨 수정은 마지막 크레스가 아닌 서브크레스를 포함하기 때문에 메소드 레벨수정은 마지막 클래스 아닌 서브크레스를 포함한다. 메소드 레벨 수정은 마지막 클래스 또는 인터페이스로부터 객체들을 제어할 수 있다. 본 논문은 악성 애플릿들이 프록시 서버를 이용한 자바 바이트 코트 수정에 의해 제어되는 것을 나타냈으며 이러한 구현은 웹 서버, JVM, 웹 브라우저상에서 악성 애플릿들의 공격이 제어됨을 입증한다.
