  • The great sudenn change of circle of dental laboratory technology brought mary discord between the new growing environmental group and the old group, In order to know the satisfactory degree of dental laboratory heads about all dental College, This Study was conducted for 49 detal technicians who graduated from junior laboratory heads in Seoul and Kyoung Gi area. The results are abtained as follow- 1. By age The degree of Satisfaction of items about all graduate dental technician were "41$\sim$45 age" group 26.53%), "46$\sim$50 age" group 22.45%, "36$\sim$40 age" group 18.36%, "31$\sim$35 age" group 12.24%, "51$\sim$55 age" group and "56$\sim$60 age" group 8.16% 60$\sim$age group 4.08% in order. 2. By Job Career. The Highest degree item out of Satisfaction about all graduated dental dental technician was 21$\sim$25 years group 28.5%, 16$\sim$20 years 20.4%, 11$\sim$15 years group 12.24%, 26$\sim$20%, 6$\sim$10 years group 4.08%, below 5 years group 2.04% in order. 3. By managing term of respondent's dental laboratory. The Satisfactory degree of items about all gradate technician were 7$\sim$10 years group 36.73% over 15 years group 22.45%, 11$\sim$14 years group 20.41%, 3$\sim$6 years group 14.29% below 2 years group 6.12% in order 4. By dental technician number of respondent's dental laboratory. The satisfactory degree intems about man were as follow; 6$\sim$9 persons group is 42.86 % The Satisfactory degree items about woman were one persons group in 34.69% 5. By born place The dental laboratory heads mean of inters about all dental technician were Seoul group 20.64 %, Kyoung Gi 17.20 %, Jen Nam group 14.99 % Chung Nam 9.5%in order 6. The satisfactory degree of items about all graduate dental technician were neither good nor bad group 32.65%, bad 6.12%, By ability of adaptaton, The satisfactory degree items about man were neither good nor bad group 42.86%, bad group 40.82%. The satisfactory degree of items about woman were neither good nor bad group 40.82% bad group 36.73%. 7. By sincerity. The satisfactory degree of items about man dental technician who graduated from Junior College were neither good nor bad group 52.02%, bad group 4.08, The satisfactory degree about woman dental technician graduated from Junior College were neither good nor bad group 42.86%, bad group 6.12%. 8. By ability of basical of items about man were bad group 40.82 %. The satisfactory degree about woman were 46.94%. 9. By cooperation relation ship. The satisfactory degree of items about man were neither good nor bad group 42.86%, bad group 10.20%. The satisfactory degree about woman were neither good nor bad group 42.86%, bad group 10.20 %. 10. By ability of work. The satisfactory degree of items about man were neither good nor bad group 48.98%, bad group 4.08%. The satisfactory degree about woman were neither good nor bad group 42.86%, bad group 6.12 %. 11. By the curriculum of the dental technician. The satisfactory degree of items about man were neither good nor bad group 67.35%, bad group 2.04%, The satisfactory degree about woman were neither good nor bad group 61.22%, bad group 6.12%. 12. By occupational satisfaction. The satisfactory degree of items about all graduate dental technician were fatisfied group 14.29%. By the out look of employment. The satisfactory degree of items about man greduate dental technician were neither good nor bad group 34.69 %, bad group 10.20%, about woman graduate dental technician were neither good nor bad group 44.90%, bad group 10.20%, Their employment prospect is not so bright or oprimistic due to the glut supply by graduates in the job-seeking market 13. The satisfactory rate on the artificial dental manufacturing world in terms of effects produced by juror College graduate dental technicians shared good group 40.82% bad group 2.04% 14. By cognition of the number of graduate dental technician. The satisfactory degree of dental laboratory heads about man graduate dental technician were too many group 38.78%, few group 6.12% about woman graduated dental technician were neither good nor bad group 30.6% few group 10,20%, The employment opportunities for the artifical dental technicians are getting decreased because of their excessive cumber in supply 15. The opinion regarding the initial salary. ranging from \160,000 to \200,000 for the junior college graduate dental technicians shared 57.14%. The top ratio, while the satisfaction reate on the academic study period of "3-year" group shared 22%, also the top ratio. 16. The improvement policy and prblematic issues presonted by the owner and operatore of atriticial dental manufacturing plants are as shown below First; The viewpoint that they contribute to the improvement of people's oral health in terms of their mission as artificial dental technicians. Second: The cultivation of basic technical ability to cope with clinical practice upon graduation Third; They require guidance in study and research in their filed of profession, that tray may beable to estaclish a from theory.

모친의 사회경제적 요인과 구강건강신념의 유치우식증에 미치는 영향 (Effects on Dental Caries of Chilren's Deciduous Teeth in Relation to their Mothers' Socioeconomic Factors and their Oral Health Beliefs)

  • 본 연구는 모친의 사회 경제적 요인과 구강건강신념이 유치우식증에 미치는 원인을 분석, 유아의 구강건강을 효과적으로 증진시키고자 전라북도 군산시에 거주하는 어린이집의 5, 6세 아동과 그 모친 174명을 대상으로 연구를 시행하였다. 조사 방법은 아동의 구강검진과 그 모친의 사회 경제적인 요인과 구강건강신념모형이었으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 유치우식증 실태는 우식경험유치지수의 경우 5세 남아가 3.39개, 여아는 2.76개였으며, 6세 남자는 3.86개, 여아는 3.27개 였다. 또한 유치우식경험율은 5세 남아에서 가장 높게 나타났으며(81.8%), 우식유치율이 처치유치율보다 높게 나타났다. 그러나 6세 여아에서는 치료된 치아가 우식보다 높게 나타났다. 5세 유아의 처치유치율은 남아가 여아보다 높게 나타나 통계학적으로 유의하게 나타났다(p<0.05). 2. 사회경제적인 요인에 따른 유치우식증 실태는 모친의 취업 여부와 세대주의 연령에서 통계학적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 모친이 취업한 경우(84.7%)가 미취업(66.7%)보다 유치우식경험율에서 높게 나타나 유의한 차이를 나타냈으며(p<0.05), 또한 세대주의 연령이 40세 이상일 때 우식경험유치지수가 가장 높게 나타났으며(4.07개), 그 다음은 35~39세에서 3.83개, 25~29세에서 3.33개, 30~34세에서 2.15개로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 3. 모친의 사회 경제적 요인에 따른 모친의 구강건강신념과의 통계학적으로 유의하게 나타난 것은 세대주의 학력, 시부모나 부모와의 동거 여부였다. 세대주의 학력은 구강질환에 때한 감수성과 심각성이 보통 정도 수준으로 고졸 하보다 대졸 이상에서 높게 나타났다(p<0.01)(p<0.05). 또한 시부모 또는 부모와의 동거 여부는 중요성이 낮았고 동거가 비동거보다 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 4. 유아의 우식경험유치지수가 모친의 구강건강신념과 연관성이 있었으며, 모친의 구강건강신념에 대한 유익성이 높을수록 아동의 우식경험유치지수가 낮게 나타났다.

전북지역 일부 치과위생사의 자아존중감과 이직의도에 관한 연구 (A study on self-esteem and turnover intention according to dental hygienists in part of Jeonbuk area)

  • Objectives : This study is to make basic materials for an effective human resource management plan by understanding relationship between self-esteem and intention of transfer of dental hygienists who are working in dental diagnostic institutions and to contribute to human resource program development for promoting development into a dental hygienic profession. Methods : This survey was carried out for dental hygienists who are engaging in dental diagnostic institutions in part of Cheonbuk Area by survey researchers for 10 days from September 14 to September 24, 2011 by visiting dental clinics after respondents replied to a questionnaire after listening to explanations of study purposes. Total 210 copies of questionnaire were retrieved and 201 copies were used as materials for the final analysis excluding 9 copies with insincere replies. Results : 1. The total average grade for self-esteem of study objects was 32.83(${\pm}3.08$) points. The total average of intention of transfer was found to be 32.91(${\pm}7.50$) points. 2. Self-esteem by satisfaction on the current workplaces was shown to be high with 'very satisfactory'(p=0.028), which has significant difference statistically (p<0.05). 3. In the intention of transfer by general characteristics, 20-25 years ($35.15{\pm}7.17$) was higher than over 40 years old ($23.44{\pm}3.47$) by age to show significant difference statistically (p=0.000). As for married status, single ($34.42{\pm}6.64$) was found to have higher intention of transfer than married ($30.28{\pm}8.11$), which showed significant difference statistically (p=0.018). As for the education background, 3 year course college graduates ($33.49{\pm}7.25$) showed more intention of transfer than over undergraduate students ($22.75{\pm}9.43$) to show significance statistically (p=0.002) and in the working years 1~3 years ($34.40{\pm}7.07$) was found to have more intention of transfer than over 10 years ($25.13{\pm}5.08$) to be significant statistically (p=0.000). The annual income less than 25 million won ($34.10{\pm}6.54$) showed more intention of transfer than over 40 million won ($21.00{\pm}0.00$) (p=0.000). 4. Intention of transfer by satisfaction of current workplaces was found to be high in 'very unsatisfactory', which showed significant difference statistically (p<0.001). 5. Pure correlation between self-esteem and intention of transfer came into existence and intention of transfer was found to be higher as self-esteem is higher. Conclusions : Through results as above, intention of transfer of dental hygienists was found to be higher as self-esteem is higher. Various follow-up studies which are to perform empirical verification by analyzing various factors which can affect intention of transfer based on this and using them as control variables are thought to be tried.

일개지역 전문대학 보건행정과 학생들의 전공 만족과 향후 진로 선택의 상관성 (Correlation Between Major Satisfaction and Further Career Choices of the Students in the Department of Health Administration College)

  • 본 연구 대상은 광주 전남 보건행정학과 대학생으로 전공과 만족을 일반, 관계, 인식, 교과만족도에 따라 만족도를 파악하고 향후 진로 선택과 상관성을 설문을 통하여 조사 하였다. 광주광역시 3곳, 전라남도 4개의 전문대학 대학생 270명을 편의 추출하였다. 연구결과 연구 대상자 중 향후 전공 진로를 의무기록사로 선택하고자 하는 대상자가 가장 많았으며, 그 중 62.4%가 전공과에 만족하였고, 향후 진로별로 전공 만족도는 차이가 있었으며, 의무기록사를 선택하고자 하는 학생들이 타 전공 진로를 선택하고자 하는 학생에 비해 전공과 만족이 높았다. 보건행정학과 학생의 전공 진로 선택에 전공 만족이 미치는 영향 요인 중 일반적인 특성에서 3학년에 비해 2학년의 전공 만족도가 4.13배 높았고, 입학 당시 비자발적으로 선택한 그룹에 비해 자발적으로 전공(학과)을 선택한 그룹의 전공만족도가 8.04배 유의하게 높았다. 전공 만족 하위 영역 중 전공만족에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 인식 만족도가 하인 그룹에 비해 상인 그룹에서 전공 만족도가 3.93배 유의하게 높았다. 전공과 만족이 향후 진로 선택에 미치는 영향을 로지스틱 분석한 결과 전공 진로를 의무기록사로 선택하고자 하였을 경우 의무기록사를 선택하지 않은 학생들에 비해 전공 만족도가 2.06배 유의하게 높았고, 비자발적으로 선택한 의무기록사 그룹보다 자발적으로 선택한 의무기록사 그룹에서 전공만족도가 4.51배 유의하게 높았다. 전공과 만족 및 향후 진로에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 하고 전공 만족 하위영역 중 인식 만족도가 높을수록 전공과 선택에 만족하며, 진로에 대한 긍정적인 인식을 하고 있을 때 진로 선택과 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 전공 진로가 다양한 보건행정 학과 특성을 고려한 각 전공 진로별 전공 만족도를 높이는 방안이 고려되어야 할 것이다.

초등학생의 안전의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Consciousness of Elementary Students)

  • This study selected the fifth and sixth graders of elementary school in Jeollanamdo who can express their opinions of safety consciousness and understand the items of questionnaire as the population. It selected 10 elementary schools under the supervision of Jeonnam Board of Education and sampled 700 students randomly from 2-3 classes in the 5th and the 6th grade. One preliminary survey was conducted to revise and complement the contents and forms of questionnaire with 70 students of a school from Apr. 1 to 6, 2004 and this study was conducted from Apr. 10 to 30, 2004. Data of this study were collected by explaining the purport of study to subjects after obtaining approval of principal and teacher of the school and distributing questionnaires. Total 700 questionnaires were distributed and 681 were collected (97%) and 602 were used for final analysis except 79 lacking responses. The results of this study are as follows. According to demographical characteristics of subjects, 'male' students were 302(50.%) and 'female' students were 300(49.8%) by sex and 'the 5th graders' were 285(47.3%) and 'the 6th graders' were 317(52.7%) in grade distribution. Residents at 'apartment house' were 406(67.4%) in residence type, 'going to school by foot' was 477 students(79.2%), 'high school graduates' were 297(49.3%) in fathers' education, 'high school graduates' were 366 (60.8%) in mothers' education, 'professional and office workers' were 231(38.4%) in fathers' job, 'full-time workers' were 283(47.0%) in mothers' job, and the number of siblings was one except myself in 343 students(57.0%). Respondents on the level of class showing 'good' were 340(56.5%) and those on the degree of adaptation to school life showing 'active' were 349(58.0%). On the characteristics related to safety education, 360(59.8%) responded it was 'very necessary', on the frequency of safety education at school for last one year, 339(56.3%) responded they had 'once or twice', on the frequency of safety education by parents, 279(46.3%) responded they 'often' had it, on the level of safety practice by parents, 347(57.6%) responded they practiced it 'frequently', on the source of knowledge of safety, 223(37.0%) responded they got it from 'parents, siblings and relatives', on the degree of recognizing the need of safety education textbooks, 295(38.5%) responded 'it was needed', on the recognition of necessity of teacher for safety education, 271(45.0%) answered it was very necessary', and on the recognition of qualification of teacher for safety education, 370(61.5%) answered it was 'paramedic'. The mean score of safety consciousness of subjects was 2.72 (SD. 21) of full score 3, having high score over mean score. According to each area, the area showing the highest safety consciousness was safety of fire(2.83), followed by home safety(2.76) and first-aid treatment(2.76), traffic safety(2.71), play and leisure safety(2.66) and school safety(2.56). Items showing statistical differences in the degree of safety consciousness according to demographical characteristics were sex(t=-3.11, p=.002), education(t=2.33, p=.021) and number of siblings(F=3.729, p=.011). In the difference of safety consciousness between both sexes, 'female' students(2.75) showed higher safety consciousness than 'male' students (2.69), and the former also showed higher safety consciousness than the latter in all six areas of school safety, play and leisure safety, traffic safety, fire safety, home safety and first-aid treatment, and there were statistical differences in the areas of play and leisure safety, traffic safety, fire safety and first-aid treatment. According to the differences of safety consciousness by grade, 'the fifth graders'(2.74) showed higher safety consciousness than 'the sixth graders'(2.70) and the former also showed higher safety consciousness than the latter in all six areas of school safety, play and leisure safety, traffic safety, fire safety, home safety and first-aid treatment, and there were statistical differences in the areas of fire safety and home safety. In the safety consciousness by the number of siblings, 'single son or daughter' (2.78) was highest and their safety consciousness was also highest in all six areas of school safety, play and leisure safety, traffic safety, fire safety, home safety and first-aid treatment, and there were statistical differences in the areas of school safety, fire safety and home safety, There were statistically remarkable differences in degree of adaptation to school life (F=15.349, p=.000) and perceived schooling level(F=9.552, p=.000). According to the degree of safety consciousness related to characteristics of safety education, there were statistical differences at the degree of recognizing the need of safety education(F=9.797, p=.000), degree of safety education at school(F=2.595, p=.006), degree of safety education by parents(F=12.709, p=.000), degree of practicing safety by parents(F=17.579, p=.000), source of knowledge of safety education (F=2,715, p=.044), necessity of safety education textbooks(F=3.972, p=.008), need of safety teacher(F=4.137, p=.006) and qualification standard of safety teacher(F=3.016, p=.029).

체중조절용 조제식품과 다이어트 건강기능식품 섭취자의 체형 및 체중조절 인식에 관한 연구 (Perceptions of Body Shape and Weight Control in Individuals Consuming Weight-Control or Functional Health Foods)

  • 본 연구는 다이어트 건강기능식품 또는 체중조절용 조제식품을 섭취하는 성인의 체형 및 체중조절에 대한 인식을 조사함으로써, 소비자 특성을 파악하고자 시행되었다. 1) 조사 대상자는 남자 28.6%, 여자 71.4%, 평균 연령 $34.2{\pm}5.9$세, 대졸 71.9%, 기혼 65.8%로 나타났고, 월평균소득은 300만원 이상인 가정이 총 88.1%로 높게 나타났다. 또한 과체중 및 비만 (BMI ${\geq}$ 23)이 64.6%, 정상범주 (BMI < 23.0)인 사람들이 35.4%를 차지하여, 비만하지 않은 사람들도 상업용 제품을 비교적 많이 섭취하고 있었다. 2) 체형인식은 73.4%가 '살찐 편'으로, 체형만족도는 여자가 남자보다 유의적으로 낮았다. BMI ${\geq}$ 23인 사람들은 '남자'또는 '만 35~44세' 또는 '기혼' 또는 '사무직 등' 또는 '주부'라는 특성을 갖으며, BMI < 23인 사람들은 '여자', 또는 '만 25~34세' 또는 '미혼'또는 직업은 '서비스직 등'와 '대학생 등'라는 특성을 나타냈다. 3) 체중조절인식 조사결과, 다이어트시 중점 사항은 '체중감량'이 가장 우선이며, 이를 일반특성에 따라 분석해 보면, 남자는 '체지방 감소'에, 여자는 '체중감량'에, 미혼은 '체지방 감소', '건강회복', '몸매개선'에, 기혼은 '체중감량', '체중증가 억제'에, 또한 BMI ${\geq}$ 23인 사람들은 '체중감량'과 '체지방 감소'에, BMI < 23인 사람들은 '건강회복'과 '몸매개선'에 더 중점을 두는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 다이어트 동기로는 '정상체중 유지' (25.6%), '산후 체중조절' (7%), '건강관리'(9%) 등의 객관적인 동기는 42.1%, 보다 주관적인 동기인 '남의 시선 의식', '원하는 디자인의 옷을 입기위해'등은 57.9%로 나타났다. 4) 두 제품유형을 섭취하는 사람들 간의 체형인식의 유의적 차이는 없었으나, 다이어트 건강기능식품 섭취군에서는 '정상체중 유지' (29.3%)와 '건강관리를 위해' (12.7%) 라는 동기가 우선이었고, '체지방감소', '체중증가 억제'에 중점을 두어 다이어트를 하는 경향을 보였다. 반면 체중조절용 조제식품 섭취군에서는 '원하는 디자인의 옷을 입기 위해' (35.8%)라는 동기가 가장 높았고, '체중 감량'에 중점을 두어 다이어트를 하는 경향을 보였다.

대학생의 통제소재가 취업스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of University Students' Locus of Control on Stress towards Employment)

  • 글로벌경제의 경기침체 우려가 현실로 나타나면서 대졸자의 취업난이 그 어느 때보다도 심각한 상황이다. 이러한 현실 속에서 취업을 해야 하는 대학생들은 고민과 갈등으로 많은 스트레스에 시달리고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 과연 대학생들이 자신의 운명을 무엇이 통제한다고 믿는지에 기인된 내적 통제소재와 외적 통제소재에 따라 취업스트레스의 하위요인 환경적, 신체적, 심리적, 예민 행동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구를 위한 설문조사는 2011. 10. 5.~10. 20까지 15일 동안 서울과 수도권 및 지방의 4년제 대학생을 대상으로 총 550부의 설문지를 배포하여 480부가 회수되었고 이 중 유효한 430명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 취업스트레스에서 환경적인 영향이 49%로 높게 나타나는 반면 신체적 영향은 7%로 나타났다. 둘째, 취업스트레스와 통제소재의 상관분석을 실시한 결과, 외적 통제소재는 환경과 신체, 심리, 예민 행동에서 정적인 영향을 보이고 있으며, 내적 통제소재에서는 모두 부적인 상관을 보이고 있어 보다 다양한 진로정보가 제공되어야 하겠다. 청년실업률과 직결되는 대학생들의 침체된 진로효능감을 높이고 취업스트레스를 감소시킬 수 있는 다양하고 적극적인 방안이 모색되어야 한다.

산학협력 활성화를 위한 현장밀착형 교과과정 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Cooperation for the activation-type curriculum development site close)

  • 우리나라 20대의 고용률은 57%로 최근 4년래 최저치에 머물고 있다. 대졸자들이 몰려 있는 25~29세의 실질 실업률은 20%를 웃돈다는 분석도 있을 만큼 청년실업 문제는 심각하다. 이에 따라 산학협력 활성화는 이제 이러한 국가현안을 해결해주는 주요한 수단으로 인식되고 있으며, 향후 정부정책이나 국가지표에서 더욱 관심과 지원을 받게 될 것이 분명해 보인다. 정부는 2012년부터 '산학협력선도대학 육성사업'(LINC: Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation)을 추진함으로써 기업이 요구하는 인력양성, 실제적인 연구개발 및 기술이전을 활성화시키고 대학-산업체-연구기관간의 유기적인 상호연계를 바탕으로 지역대학과 산업의 동반성장을 위해 다양한 산학협력 선도모델을 창출-확산시키고 있다. 이러한 배경하여 본 연구의 목적은 대학에서 현장밀착형 인재를 발굴 육성하는데 필수적인 현장밀착형 교과과정 개발에 관한 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 전공학과(부)별 실시한 전공교과과정 수요조사 결과를 바탕으로 산학협력을 확산하기 위한 현장밀착형 교과과정을 분석하고 연차별, 영역별 추진방안을 제안하였다.

대구지역 숙녀복업계 기업주가 요구하는 패션전문인 (The Fashion Professionals Required by the Ladies Apparel Manufacturers in Daegu)

  • This study performed a structural questionnaire survey and non-structural interview of the ladies apparel manufacturers in Daegu on the qualification for the employees, skills required for job performance, job training, automatic manufacturing systems, and the use of computer. The results are as follows. 1. Almost all of the apparel manufacturing systems were Pair System, except one Line System in one company. In terms of outsourcing, most of the manufacturers answered “yes,” and in 1998 the outsourcing process was sewing, but in the year 2002, outsourcing has been increased :12 manufacturers(57.1%) outsourcing most of the processes except patterning, 3(14.3%) outsourcing the finish of sewing. 2. The workforce of 1998 and that of 2002 shows a significant difference(P<. 01) between office work and management. The number of office workers has decreased from 15 down to 5.3 people. On the other hand, that of the management has slightly increased from 5.3 to 9.2 people. The number of the manual workers has decreased from 32.2 to 28.7 people. And the number of tailoring and patterning workers has slightly decreased, but the number has increased in sewing from 3.7 to 7.0 people. 3. The wage of an employee shows a significant difference between a sewing assistant(P<. 01) and a production manager(P<. 05), and the wage of a sewing assistant, in particular, has slightly raised from ₩905,000 to ₩1,054,000. 4. The qualifications required of employees are “cooperative human relations”(30.8%), “diligence,” and “ability for job analysis”(26.9%), and “positive thinking” (15.4%) in 1998, and “ability for job analysis”(38.5%), “cooperative human relations”(34.6%), and “positive thinking” (15.4%) in 2002. The areas for job openings are significantly different(P<. 01) depending on the year. Job openings in the design section has increased from 1(3.8%) to 16 manufacturers (61.5%), and decreased in tailoring section from 22(84.6%) to 2 manufacturers(7.7%). Job openings in the sewing section have increased form 2(7.7%) to 6 manufacturers (23.1%). In terms of sex of the employees, there is a significant difference(P<. 001). 19 companies(73.1%) wanted “male” in 1998, but 8 companies(30.8%) answered that they want “female” and 17 companies(65.4%) answered that “it does not matter.” About the educational background, there was a significant difference between the years. The number of the companies that want junior college graduates with an associate degree has increased(15 companies(57.7%). There was a significant difference(P<. 05) in major of the employee. The number of the companies that want fashion majors has increased from 5(19.2%) to 20(76.9%). 5. In terms of job skills required, there was no significant difference. In 1998, “production skills” (46.2%) and “ability for job analysis” (26.9%) were required, and in 2002, “ability for job analysis” (42.3%) and “emotional skills” (26.9%). 6. In regard to training for job skills, “fashion professional training” has slightly decreased from 65.4% in 1998 to 46.2% in 2002, however, “training for job analysis” has slightly increased from 30.8% in 1998 to 46.2% in 2002, which indicates the fact that “fashion professional training” and “ability for job analysis” have been emphasized. 7. The number of the manufacturers purchased apparel CAD has increased from 1(3.8%) to 3(11.5%), and the number of the manufacturers that have no plan for purchase has increased from 16(61.5%) in 1998 to 15(57.7%), still taking up a big proportion. 8. About the use of computers in manufacturing, there is a significant difference(P<. 05). The number of the manufacturers using computer has increased from 5(19.2%) to 15(57.7%) and that of the manufacturers which do not use computers has decreased from 17(57.7%) to 8(30.8%). 9. In the interviews with the owners of the manufacturers, they pointed that schools should give more weight on practical training courses, the invitation of experts in the specific field, complex production systems, training courses for sewing, field trip courses, and furthering specialty education, personality and vocational education.

인력수급 대책을 위한 치과기공사의 보건지소 진출에 관한 연구 - 2012년 틀니보험화 정책을 중심으로 - (The study on the entry of dental technicians in the public health center for a manpower supply and demand plane (Centering around a denture insurance policy in 2012))

  • Purpose: This study evaluated the manpower planning of dental technicians. Methods: Methods : Survey was conducted regarding subject's general characteristics, characteristics of dental technician's occupational view and working conditions, and reason to enter into branches of the public health enter. The survey sample consisted of 323 dental technicians (221 male/ 102 female). Survey was conducted for one month from August 1 to September 1 in 2010. Following results were obtained. Results: 1. Regarding general characteristics of the subjects, there was a slight male predilection with 68.4%. Subjects in their 40s occupied the highest proportion of 32.2%. Majority of subjects worked in the big cities (71.5%). Favored working places were dental laboratory (57.6%) and dental hospital or dental clinic (19.5%). Although no position is available in the public sector such as public health center or health care civil servant, 9.3% preferred working in the public health center. Public sector is more favored than 2-year technical colleges or dental supply and equipment companies. In respect to education, 57% of the subjects graduated college. 67.8% were married. Subjects who specialize in the porcelain or all-ceramic were 57.9%. With regard to current position, head of the dental laboratory was most common. 2. Following occupation characteristics were found. Economic reason took the highest proportion when deciding their occupation (39.9%) followed by gaining social experience (36.5%). Majority of the subjects (76.5%) wanted to work as dental technicians until their retirement. 71.5% pursuit to become a manager of the dental laboratory. 76.1% agreed on opening a dental technician position in the public health center. Regarding an authority to lead developing the dental technician position in the public sector, majority of the subject chose ministry of health and welfare (35.6%) and Korean dental technologist association (34.7%). Employment (average, 30%) and turnover rate (average, 36.5%) of dental technology college graduates ranged from 40% to 60%. Most important factors for the employment were practical experience (41.2%) and competency (34.4%). With regard to job satisfaction, so-so as 46.7% and satisfactory was 42.7% 3. In respect to the reason for opening a position in the public health center, 'It is needed to continue denture rogram for elderly patients' obtained the highest score (4.14 point). 'Institutional devices are required to open a position for dental technicians as a public healthcare provider' received high score (4.11 point). 4. Concerning the working conditions, 'professional knowledge is required' received the highest score (4.23) followed by 'too short maternity and parental leave' (4.21). 5. Relationship between general characteristics of the subjects and favor of working in the public health center was investigated. Significant differences were found according to the current and favored working area, favored occupation, education level, marital status, and specialty. Working in the public health center was favored by following subjects: working in mid- or small-sized cities (4.16 point, p<0.05); PhD degree-holder (4.59 point, p<0.01). 6. Among general characteristics of the subjects, significant difference of working conditions was found in the following factors: gender; working areas; favored working areas; favored working positions, and education level. Majority of subjects favored working in big cities and currently work in big cities although satisfaction was comparatively low (3.75 score). 7. Future plan to work in public health center was evaluated according to occupational characteristics. Subject's intention to work in the public healthcare center was significantly affected by opening of dental technician position, leading authority, average turnover rate, and factors affecting employment. Working in the public health care center was favored by the following subjects: Dental technicians who actively supported opening of the dental technician position (4.34 point, p<0.001); subjects who thought the Korean dental technologist association is responsible for the opening of positions in the public sector (4.26 point, p<0.001); and subjects who thought that attitude and character are important for the employment (p<0.001). 8. Concerning difference of working conditions according to the occupational characteristics, significant difference was demonstrated by factors such as a reason to choose to be a dental technician, work plan, pursuing position, responsible authority, average employment rate, and job satisfaction. High standard of working conditions was required in subjects who selected to be a dental technician for the leisure time after work (s.05 point, p<0.01), who planted to work until their marriage (4.25 point, p<0.001), and who pursuit to be a manager (3.98, p<0.05). 9. In respect to influence of general characteristics on the advancement to public health centers, the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.068 and age affected the working condition with significant difference according to the pvalue. 10. Regarding influence of general characteristics on the advancement to public health centers, the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.335 and work plan, opening of dental technician position in the public sector, and responsible authority had significant influence over the subject's intention to work in the public health center according to the p-value. 11. With regard to the influence of general characteristics on the advancement to public health centers, the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.091 and reason to choose to be a dental technician, work plan, and responsible authority significantly affected subject's working conditions. Conclusion: Korean society is becoming a super-aged society according to several statistics. As aged population is rapidly increasing, national health insurance plans to cover denture for senior citizen over 75 years old from 2012. Therefore, dental technicians are urgently needed in the public health centers all over the nation. Many subjects in this study planed to work until their retirement and recognized dental technician's expertise. Ministry of health and welfare and Korean dental technologist association should co-operate each other to prepare foundation and institutional devices for dental technicians to advance into the public health center. This will improve oral health of the population. This study showed urgency of medical facilities and services which meets increasing number of aged population and welfare of the population.
