Design of Cutter Profile and the Characteristics of Vibration for Symmetric Screw Rotor (대칭형스크류로터의 커터설계와 진동특성에 관한 연구)

  • We designed the cutter profile for symmetric screw rotor and did vibration experiment of screw rotor manufactured by the designed cutter profile. The results of this study are summarized as follows. (1) We designed the cutter profile of screw rotor (4-6)(5-6) by using numerical analysis program. (2) The maximum amplitude and variation of amplitude of 5-6 profile rotor are about 30 - 36.7% and 10 - 25% smaller than those of 4-6 profile rotor, respectively. (3) As the angular velocity of rotor changes from 100 to 300 rpm, the vibration of X, Y axis in driving shaft of 5-6 profile rotor is about 10 - 20% smaller than that of 4-6 profile rotor.

  • Recently a symmetric and non-symmetric profile of screw rotor has been designed in the interior. Howere the processing method of screw rotor and the cutter design for screw rotor were not studied. Therefor we could not make the shape of the screw rotor designed by profile function with computer. In this study we have made cutter profile design program and manufactured cutters for screw rotors using H.S.S We machined screw rotors of symmetric 4x6 profile non-sysmmetric 4x6 profile with almighty milling machine.

  • The profile ring rolling process of Ti-6Al-4V alloy was investigated by finite element(FE) simulation and experimental analysis. The process design of the profile ring rolling includes geometry design and optimization of process variables. The geometry design such as initial billet and blank sizes, and final rolled ring shape was carried out with the calculation method based on the uniform deformation concept between the wall thickness and ring height. FEM simulation was used to calculate the state variables such as strain, strain rate and temperature and to predict the formation of forming defects during ring rolling process. Finally, the mechanical properties of profiled Ti-6Al-4V alloy ring product were analyzed with the evolution of microstructures during the ring rolling process.

  • The present study was conducted to investigate serologic characteristics, antimicrobial resistance and plasmid profile of 79 E. coli isolated from faecal sample of the wild bird in Busan province (Gangseo, Saha) during the period from November 2004 to February 2005. Many strains were positive for rafiinose (63.3%), sorbitol (96.2%), sucrose (73.4%) and few strains were positive for esculin, arginine dihydrolase, ornithine decarboxylase. Among 79 isolates, O serotypes were O55, O158, O18 and 47 strains (59.5%) were resistant to antimicrobial drugs such as tetracycline (40.5%), carbenicillin (27.8%). 15 strains showed 14 different plasmid bands composed of 1 to 6 bands. They were ranged from 1.6 to 43 kb and harbored 43 kb (11.4%), 5.3 kb (6.3%) and 11.4 kb (5.1%). Plasmid profile of 15 strains were 43 profile (2.5%), 2.4, 43 profile (2.5%) and 5.3, 11.4, 43 profile (2.5%).

  • In this paper, we present a low profile dual-microstripline-fed double 4-arrayed meander monopole antenna with a cross-type element back by separated four-segments mesh-type reflector. The cross-type element and separated four-segments mesh-type reflector leads to enhance radiation patterns and antenna gain characteristics. The measurement value of the proposed antenna show that it has dipole-like radiation pattern characteristics. The experimental peak gain of fabricated antenna is about 2.89 dBi, which presents relatively high gain characteristics for a low profile(small-size) one. This antenna can be applied mobile RFID(radio frequency identification) readers, small medical instruments, broadcasting and home-networking operations, and other low profile high-gain systems.

Clinical Study on Personality Characteristics of the Alcoholic Patients -with MMPI & Sasang Constitution(四象體質)- (알콜리즘 환자(患者)의 인격특성(人格特性)에 관(關)한 임상적(臨床的) 고찰(考察) -MMPI와 사상체질(四象體質)을 중심(中心)으로-)

  • To study the personality characteristics of alcoholic patients, they were screned with the MAST(Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test) and administered with the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) in the Dept. of Neuropsychiatry, Oriental Medical Hospital in Kyung Hee Univ. form March 1991 to June 1991. Patients admitted for alcoholism were examined and analyzed using the above tests and then studied by Sasang Constitutional approach. Results were as follows; 1. In the MAST score, the cases of obvious alcohol dependence was 53.3% and overall mean score was 28.1 point. 2. In the MMPI scale, the mean of the T-scores for 2(D)-4(Pd) profile was high, but it was not statistically significant. 3. The results obtained by multivariate cluster analysis of MMPI T-scores can be divided into 3 subgroups; 1) 9% showed the psychiatric tendency of F-6(Pa)-9(Ma)profile, 2) 44.2% showed no significant profile, 3)46.5% showed the neurotic tendency of 1(Hs)-2(D)-3(Hy)-4(Pd) profile. 4. Since 44.2% showed no significant profile on the MMPI, much more alcoholic patients were caused not by personality factors but by social tolerance, and also by increasing apportunities of drinking in Korean society. 5. When analyzed with Sasang Constituional approach, 1) for the Soyangin (少陽人): 6(Pa) scale was particularly high, 1(Hs) and 3(Hy) scales were low compared to others, 2) for the Taiumin(太陰人): 1(Hs)-2(D)-3(Hy)-4(Pd) neurotic profile was high, the K-scale and 4(Pd)scale were high compared to the Soyangin, 3) for the Soumin(少陰人): 1(Hs)-2(D)-3(Hy)-4(Pd) neurotic profile and 7(Pt) scale were also high.

  • The Leipzig Wind Profile is generally known as a typical neutral planetary boundary layer flow. But it became clear from the present research that it was not completely neutral but weakly stable. We examined whether we could simulate the Leipzig Wind Profile by using a ($k-{\varepsilon}$) turbulence model including the equation of potential temperature. By solving analytically the Second Moment Closure Model under the assumption of local equilibrium and under the condition of a stratified flow, we expressed the turbulent diffusion coefficients (both momentum and thermal) as functions of flux Richardson number. Our ($k-{\varepsilon}$) turbulence model which included the equation of potential temperature and the turbulent diffusion coefficients varying with flux Richardson number reproduced the Leipzig Wind Profile.

Durability ofthe low-profile Ionescu-Shiley valve in mitral and aortic position (중복판막치환에서 이오네스큐 단고형 판막의 내구성)

  • Improved clinical performance was expected from the introduction of the low-profile model of the Ionescu-Shiley pericardial valve. The long-term clinical results were assessed on the consecutive 47 patients who underwent MVR + AVR with this valve between 1984 and 1988. Three patients died within 30 days of surgery[operative mortality, 6.4%], and 44 early survivors were followed up for a total of 203.8 patient-years [Mean + SD, 4.63 + 1.47 years]. One died during the follow-up with a linearized late mortality of 0.491%/patient~year[pt-yr]. None experienced thromboembolism. Bleeding and endocardiris were seen in each single patient with the incidences of complication of 0.491%/pt-yr respectively. The linearized rate of primary tissue failure [PTF] was 0.491%/pt-yr. The actuarial survival and rate of freedom from PTF were 97.6 _+ 2.4% and 92.6 +7.1% at 7 years of follow-up.These results are favorably comparable with the ones seen in the patients of MVR + AVR with the standard profile lonescu-Shiley valve in all respects except the higher mean age of the low-profile group. Although the clinical performance was compatible with other major reports, the durability of the valve remains to be proved with the prolonged follow-up.
