다물체 시스템의 동적 최적화 (Dynamic Optimization of Multi-body Systems)

  • This paper presents a systematic methodology and formulation for determining optimal strategies of multi-body dynamic systems, which is based on multi-body dynamics, design sensitivity, and optimization techniques, and is applicable to a wide variety of mechanical systems. The particular application discussed in this paper considers a vehicle model with four-wheel steeling capability, and the presented methodology determines an optimal steering angle ratio strategy for the vehicle. It is shown that such a strategy can improve the ride stability of the vehicle, during a variety of maneuvers, when compared against similar strategies obtained from linear and simplified vehicle models.

  • In this study, a simulation tool is developed in order to investigate non steadystate cornering performance of 4WD/4WS vehicles. The 4WD/4WS vehicles are modeled as a 8-th order dynamic system which includes complex non-linear vehicle dynamics and tire models. The vehicle models are constructed into a modulated simulation tool and are utilized for analyzing cornering performance such as combined braking and steering, cornering on the icy read and $\mu$-split braking, The whole analysis is done with the simulation tool which consists of a number of subsystems and offers graphic environment. Simulation results show that this tool is useful and cost-effective in the dynamic analysis of the combustion-engine vehicles as well as electrically driven vehicles.

4륜 조향시스템이 차량의 주행역학적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of four-wheel steering system on vehicle handling characterisitcs)

  • Equipments of passenger cars with modern technologies are gaining their importance. Related with such developments, the four-wheel steering system (4WS) was introduced recently to a few passenger cars in the market. The most important research goal on this new steering system is improvement of active safety, in other words, improvement of handling characteristics of vehicle stability and maneuverability. This paper presents a computer-based study about the effects of 4WS system on the vehicle handling characteristics. A simple bicycle model of 2 d.o.f. is used for the development of four wheel control algorithms of 4WS system, and the rear wheel control strategies are applied to a complex vehicle model of 16 d.o.f. for simulation of selected ISO-driving tests. The 4WS systems, which reduce the sideslip angle at the mass center of vehicle to almost zero, show much improved handling characteristics compared to that of the conventional 2WS system. These 4WS systems, however, result in vehicles with eigen-steer characteristics of extreme understeer behaviour.

  • This paper analyze the dynamic characteristics of Automated Guided Vehicle(AGV) which is being developed as a part of automation in port through DADS, one of the multi-dynamic analysis program, Previous evaluation of a vehicle is carried out through the continuous driving test of a real vehicle, however this method raise the loss of finance and time. If it is possible to analyze the dynamic characteristics of vehicle before construction completely we can compensate the loss of money and time during constructing. AGV contained containers is very heavy and its center of gravity can be easily changed with the disturbance from road or cornering. It makes AGV unsatisfied, therefore we evaluate the handling characteristics and stability of the full vehicle model. This paper contribute to establish the foundation of the development of a new system like a AGV which have a special structure.

1인승 전기차량의 임베디드 전동제어장치 설계 (Design of Embedded Electrical Power Control Unit for Personal Electrical Vehicle)

  • 본 논문은 1인승 전기차량의 임베디드 전동 제어장치 설계를 제안하였다. 제안된 임베디드 장치는 PIC18F8720 프로세서, 16Mb flash ROM, 32Mb SDRAM과 신호처리회로로 설계되었다. 제안된 1인승 전기차량은 4KW 인휠 BLDCM, $180^{\circ}$ 도통 공간 벡터제어 3상 전압형 인버터, PID 속도제어기와 전동제어 장치와 임베디드 제어장치로 구성된다. 이 1인승 전기차량은 역 3륜 형태의 기계적인 구조를 가지고 있으며, 인휠 BLDCM과 틸팅 기능을 가지는 조향 메카니즘이 적용되었다. 또한 제안된 임베디드 전동제어장치의 성능은 PEV에 대한 Lab 실험과 도로 주행시험을 통하여 검증하였다.

  • In the vehicle steering system, we can consider two methods to steer the vehicle. One is a front wheel steering(FWS), the other is a four wheel steering(4WS). The four wheel steering method has been recently introduced to improve the steering performance. In this paper, we present a design of the four wheel steering controller. First, we constructed the neural network two degree of freedom PID controller to control the 4WS system. Then we compared the performance of conventional PID controller with our proposed controller in terms of yaw rate and side slip velocity. The computer simulation results show that 4WS system controlled by the proposed controller has well driving performances than the other.

  • With the recent advancement of control method and battery technology, the electric vehicle have been researched to replace the conventional vehicle with electric vehicle with the view point of the environmental concerns and energy conservation. An electric vehicle which is equipped with the independent front steering system and in-wheel motors has advantage in terms of control. For example, the different torque which generated by left and right wheels directly can make yaw moment and the independent steering using outer wheel control is able to reduce the sideslip angle. Using of independent steering and driving system, the 4 wheel electric vehicle can improve a performance better than conventional vehicle. In this paper, we consider the method for improving the cornering performance of independent front steering system and in-wheel motor used electric vehicle with the compensated outer wheel angle and direct yaw moment control. Simulation results show that the method can improve the cornering performance of 4 wheel electric vehicle. We also apply the steering motor failure to steer the vehicle turned by the torque difference without steering. This paper describes an independent front steering and driving, consist of three parts; Vehicle Model, Control Algorithm for independent steering and driving and simulation. First, vehicle model is application of TruckSim software for independent front steering and 4 wheel driving. Second, control algorithm describes the reduced sideslip and direct yaw moment method in view of cornering performance. Last is simulation and verification.
