Analysis Third-dimension Turbo Code for DVB-RCS Next Generation (DVB-RCS Next Generation을 위한 Third-dimension Turbo Code 분석)

  • The next generation wireless communication systems are required high BER performance better than present performance. Double binary Turbo code have error floor at high SNR, so it cannot be used in next generation wireless communication system. Therefore, many methods are proposed for overcome error floor at DVB-RCS NG(next generation). In this paper, we analysis structure of third-dimension Turbo code(3D-turbo code). 3D-Turbo code overcomes error flow by additive post-encoder in conventional DVB-RCS Turbo code. Performance of 3D-Turbo code is changed by post-encoder form, interleaving method, value of ${\lambda}$. So we are simulated by those parameter and proposed optimal form. By a result, performance of 3D-Turbo is better than conventional DVB-RCS Turbo code and it overcome error floor of conventional DVB-RCS Turbo code.

Unequal Error Protection for the Wireless ATM with Turbo Coding (무선 ATM에서 터보코딩을 사용한 UEP)

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 ATM 환경에서 터보코딩을 이용한 UEP(Unequal Error Protection)을 제안한다. 일반적으로 ATM셀의 header 부분은 payload 부분보다 중요시되며 header 부분에 payload 보다 부호율이 낮은 터보코드를 무선 ATM 적용하여 비트오류확률과 셀손실 확률을 구하였다. 무선 ATM 환경에서 터보코드를 사용하고 프레임길이 28바이트의 DLC 셀구조에서 UEP가 가능함을 보였다. 부호율 1/3인 터보 코딩을 이용한 경우 동일한 부호율의 컨벌루션 코드를 이용한 EEP(Equal Error Protection)과 비교하여 비트 오류확률과 셀 손실율에 있어서 최소 1dB와 2dB 신호대잡음비의 개선을 보였다.

  • 디지털 자기 기록 저장기기에서 채널 밀도가 증가하면 심각한 인접심볼 간섭과 비선형 왜곡이 야기된다. 본 논문에서는 심각한 비선형 인접심볼 간섭과 비선형 왜곡을 극복하기 위한 방법으로 기존의 등화기 대신 NLTE(neural linear transversal equalizer)를 등화기로 사용하고 검출기로는 터보 코드를 사용한 NLTE/TC 구조를 제안한다. 채널 밀도 S=2.5에서 부분 삭제가 0.7 정도 존재할 때, 코드율이 8/9일 때는 $10^{-5}$의 비트 에러율을 18dB 이후에서 만족하며, 코드율이 16/17일 때는 20dB 이후에서 만족함을 알 수 있었다. 채널 밀도 S=3에서 부분 삭제가 0.6 정도 존재할 때 코드율이 8/9일 때는 $10^{-5}$의 비트 에러율을 22dB 이후에서 만족하고, 코드율이 16/17일 때는 24dB 이후에서 만족함을 확인할 수 있었다.

블록터보코드의 새로운 디코딩 알고리듬

  • 본 논문에서는 블록터보로드를 사용하는 OFDM 시스템에서 오류정정 능력을 향상시키기 위하여 블록터보코드를 디코딩하는데 있어 채널상태정보(CSI)를 이용하는 새로운 알고리듬을 제안한다. 새로운 디코딩 알고리듬은 레일레이 페이딩 환경에서 채널정보를 사용하지 않는 기존의 디코딩 알고리듬과 비교를 하였으며 실험결과 새롭게 제안된 시스템의 경우 1 회 반복 복호에서 CSI 값을 적용하지 않은 기존의 복호 시스템의 4 회 반복 복호한 경우보다도 $3.SdB\;{\sim}\;5dB$의 성능 향상을 보임으로써 반복 복호의 시간을 70% 이상 감소시킬 수 있었다. 따라서 블록터보코드를 반복 복호하는 경우에 CSI 값을 적용한 시스템이 뛰어난 성능 향상과 더불어 반복 복호 시간을 줄임을 알 수 있었다.

Performance Analysis of Block Turbo Coded OFDM System Using Channel State Information (채널상태정보를 이용하는 블록터보 부호화된 OFDM 시스템의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, the new decoding algorithm of Block Turbo Codes using Channel State Information(CSI), which is estimated to compensate for the distorted signal caused by multi-path fading, is proposed in order to improve error correction capacity during decoding procedure in OFDM system. The performance of the new decoding algorithm is compared to that of the conventional decoding algorithm without using channel state information under the Rayleigh fading channel. Experimental results showed that in case of only one iteration coding gains of up to 5.0dB~9.0dB can be obtained by applying the channel state information to the conventional decoding algorithm according to the modulation methods. In addition to that, the new decoding algorithm using channel state information at only one iteration shows a performance improvement of 3.5dB to 5.0dB when compared to the conventional decoding algorithm after four iterations. This leads to reduce the considerable amount of computation.

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 경로 레일리 페이딩 채널에서 MC (Multi-Carrier) CDMA 시스템의 BER 성능을 분석하였고, 최근에 가장 강력한 부호화 기법으로 급부상하고 있는 터보 코드를 MC CDMA 시스템에 적용하여 성능 개선 정도를 평가하였다. 성능 해석 결과, 레일리 페이딩 채널에서는 강력한 성능 개선 기법을 적용하지 않는 한 사용자수와 E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ 값에 관계없이 음성 서비스를 지원하지 못함을 알 수 있었다. 한편, 터보 코드를 성능 개선 기법으로 적용하면 BER 성능이 매우 개선되고, 사용자 수와 E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ 값에 관계없이 음성 서비스를 충분히 지원할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 예를 들어 E$_{b}$/N$_{o}$ 가 10 dB이고 사용자 수가 10명인 경우, 터보 코드를 적용함에 의해 BER 성능이 약 5$\times$$10^{-3}$ 정도 개선됨을 알 수 있었다.

Performance Analysis of MC DS-CDMA System using Turbo Code in Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channel (다중경로 레일리 페이딩 채널에서 Turbo 부호를 적용한 MC DS-CDMA 시스템의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyzed BER performance of the MC DS-CDMA system and evaluated the degree of performance improvement of the system caused by adopting turbo code recently receiving much attention due to its powerful coding capability. As a result of analysis, it was found that the MC DS-CDMA system without any powerful coding scheme can not serve voice quality $(BER : 10^{-3}$ regardless of the number of users and the value of $(BER : 10^{-3)$ in Rayleigh fading channel. On the other hand, it was found that the MC DS-CDMA system adopting turbo code for performance improvement, shows improved BER performance and can serve voice quality without regard to the number of users and the value of $(BER : 10^{-3)$ in the same channel. For example, when $(BER : 10^{-3)$ is l0dB and the number of users was 10, the MC DS-CDMA system adopting turbo code showed improved BER performance about $5\times10^{-3}$.

  • Thermal and structural finite element analyses were performed for the turbopump turbine bladed disk model with shroud of a liquid rocket engine. The only 1/80 part model was analyzed which consists of 3D eight node isoparametric solid elements. The applied loading history consists of a startup condition with a thermal spike and a steady state. Heat transfer coefficient on the blade was predicted using the commercial Navier-Stokes solver, Fluent. Transient thermal responses during startup and steady states were calculated using a 3D finite element code developed. Maximum stress and shroud tip displacement under the influence of centrifugal and thermal loading were also determined.

  • OFDM(orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) modulates transmitting data with many carriers in parallel. As a result, high-speed data transmission is carried out and high spectral efficiency is provided by overlapping orthogonal frequencies. Therefore, OFDM is applied to many communication systems. In this paper, according to modulation methods(M-PSK and M-QAM), coded-OFDM wireless communication is simulated. Turbo code is used and two channels(virtual and real channel) are used. both channels have multipath delay spread, Gaussian noise, and peak power clipping. As a result of the simulation, coding gain is about 3dB and it is proved that M-QAM modulation is better than M-PSK. Start after striking space key 2 times.

A Study on Clustered OFCDM with Transmit Antenna Diversity and Coding Associated with Frequency Spreading over Frequency Selective Fading Channel (주파수 선택적 페이딩 채널에서 주파수 확산과 결합된 코딩과 송신안테나 다이버시티를 가진 Clustered OFCDM 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • This paper improves the effects of clustered OFCDM scheme considering the frequency diversity effect over a frequency selective fading channel. In OFCDM with frequency domain spreading compared to OFDM, we can increase uncorrelated symbols by frequency allocation method of correspondent symbols over the same antenna and different antenna after spreading. The simulation results show that the performance of proposed system is improved by approximately 4 dB in ${\sigma}=0.02{\mu}sec$, the performance is improved by approximately 2.5dB in large delay spread in a 12-path Rayleigh fading channel with overall the root mean squared delay spread and the maximum Doppler frequency of 20 Hz. Also, the required average received Eb/No at the average BER of $10^{-3}$ by optimum method is improved by approximately 2.0 dB, compared to that of STA-OFCDM with frequency rearrange. The new method does not require any bandwidth expansion any feedback from the receiver to the transmitter and its computation complexity is similar to clustered OFCDM.
