Extended Depth of Focus 알고리듬 파라메타 초기설정에 관한 연구 (On the Study of Initializing Extended Depth of Focus Algorithm Parameters)

  • 카메라로부터 획득한 여러 장의 영상에서 3차원 정보를 얻어내기 위한 Extended Depth of Focus(EDF) 알고리듬은 최근 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 피사물체의 깊이정보에 따른 제한된 초점으로 인해 초점이 일부분 맞는 여러 장의 이미지를 가지고 EDF알고리듬은 각 영상들의 focus 영역에서 하나의 focused 영상과 depth영상을 취득한다. 대부분의 영상처리 알고리듬이 그렇듯, EDF 알고리듬에 사용되는 파라메타들의 초기설정에 따라 결과에 큰 영향을 준다. 본 논문에서는 EDF알고리듬을 적용하기 전 입력영상의 기반으로 pyramid, wavelet transform, complex wavelet transform을 사용하였으며 EDF알고리즘에서 사용되는 파라메타들의 설정에 따른 각 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 파라메타들은 입력영상의 크기에 따른 down sampling의 단계, 영상의 기반 알고리듬의 영상 복원에 사용되는 최하위 레벨의 이미지에 대한 취득 형태, 연산에 쓰이는 window size의 크기이다. 우리는 실험을 통해 제시한 입력영상에 따라 각 파라메타들이 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하였고, 기존에 사용되었던 일반적인 파라메타 선정방식보다 최적화된 파라메타 선정방식을 통해 얻어진 결과영상이 3dB ~ 19dB정도 개선된 것을 확인하였다.

피라미드 패턴으로 제작된 TFT-LCD용 도광판의 출력 특성 (Output Characteristics of a LGP for TFT-LCD with Pyramid Shaped Pattern)

  • 피라미드 패턴이 가공된 도광판(LGP: Light Guide Plate)의 광출력 특성을 전산 모사를 통하여 조사하였다. 피라미드 패턴의 크기, 패턴의 면적 점유율, 피라미드 에칭각 등이 도광판 출력에 미치는 영향을 각각 조사하였으며, 이를 일반적으로 사용되는 반구형 패턴과 비교하였다. 반구형 패턴과의 비교 결과 패턴의 모양은 출력의 세기에 큰 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 각 변수들의 영향을 분석한 결과, 패턴의 크기 변화는 출력에 거의 영향을 주지 않는 반면에 패턴의 면적 점유율과 피라미드 에칭각은 도광판의 출력에 비교적 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 패턴의 면적 점유율 및 에칭각을 조절함으로써 도광판 성능을 개선할 수 있는 것으로 조사되었다.

광학 모듈 어레이를 이용한 넓은 시야 부피의 다시점 볼 렌즈 디스플레이 (Large-view-volume Multi-view Ball-lens Display using Optical Module Array)

  • 다시점 디스플레이는 관찰자의 위치에 따라 적절한 시점의 영상을 제공할 수 있어 시청자에게 입체적인 효과를 줄 수 있는 가장 실용적인 기술로 여겨진다. 하지만 대부분의 다시점 디스플레이는 평면 형태로서 시청자가 전방의 제한된 시야각 내에서만 입체 영상을 볼 수 있는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 시청 영역을 360도로 확장하여 완전 시차 시차를 제공하는 구 대칭성을 가지는 볼 렌즈를 적용한 광학계로 구성된 구형 디스플레이를 제안하였다. 제안한 시스템에서 각각의 프로젝션 렌즈는 소형 모듈화하여 어레이로 구성할 수 있으며 모듈 어레이를 볼 렌즈 주위에 구면으로 배치하여 수직, 수평 시차를 제공할 수 있다. 적용된 광학 모듈을 통해 볼 렌즈 내부 중앙에 이미지가 결상되고, 사용자는 디스플레이의 시야창을 통해 선명한 영상을 시청할 수 있다. 따라서 볼 렌즈의 구면 수차를 극복하여 넓은 시야 부피를 제공하는 360도 완전 시차 디스플레이의 실현 가능성을 실험적으로 확인하였다.

  • Recently, stereotactic radiosurgery plan is required with the information of 3-D image and dose distribution. A project has been doing if developing LINAC based stereotactic radiosurgery since April 1991. The purpose of this research is to develop 3-D radiosurgery planning system using personal computer. The procedure of this research is based on two steps. The first step is to develop 3-D localization system, which input the image information of the patient, coordinate transformation, the position and shape of target, and patient contour into computer system using CT image and stereotactic frame. The second step is to develop 3-D dose planning system, which compute dose distribution on image plane, display on high resolution monitor both isodose distribution and patient image simultaneously and develop menu-driven planning system. This prototype of radiosurgery planning system was applied recently for several clinical cases. It was shown that our planning system is fast, accurate and efficient while making it possible to handle various kinds of image modalities such as angiography, CT and MRI. It makes it possible to develop general 3-D planning system using beam's eye view or CT simulation in radiation therapy in future.

The Study of Low Temperature Firing Glass-Ceramics Substrate in Lithium Fluorhectorite

  • The $Li_2O-MgO-MgF_2-SiO_2$glasses with addition of $B_2O_3$ were investigated in order to make glass-ceramics for low temperature firing substrate. Glasses were made by melting at $1450^{\circ}C$ in the electronic furnace and crystallized at $750^{\circ}C$. After the crystallization, crystal phases and microstructure were observed. The crystal phases were polycrystalline of lithium boron fluorphlogopite and lithium fluorhectorite. The crystal shape was changed to grande type from needle type with the increase in $B_2O_3$ contents. Average particle size of the glass-ceramics aftar water swelling was $3.77{\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. The optimum sintering temperature and sintering shrinkage of the substrate were $900^{\circ}C$ and 13.4vol%, respectively.

3차원 컴퓨터 애니메이션을 위한 충돌 검색 및 반응 계산 (Collision Detection and Response Calculation for 3-D Computer Animation)

  • A mechanism for collision detection in general animation system is necessary to prevent the interpenetration among multiple objects. On the other hand, a dynamic simulation system which is a part of animation system simulates realistic motions using dynamics after the collision, which is called collision response. In this paper, a method for reducing the CPU time for collision detection by removing redundant calculations and object sorting is proposed. A dynamic simulation system including collision detection and response function was implemented to demonstrate the proposed methods, where the input data as elasticity, friction, gravity, object shape, external force and external torque are given by the user. The system simulates motions of multiple objects using dynamics, and generates the wireframe display.

  • Augmented reality (AR), which integrates virtual media into reality, is increasingly utilized across various industrial sectors, thanks to advancements in 3D graphics and mobile device technologies. The IT industry is thus carrying out active R&D activities about AR platforms. Google plays a significant role in the AR landscape, with a focus on ARCore services. An essential aspect of ARCore is the use of anchors, which serve as reference points that help maintain the position and orientation of virtual objects within the physical environment. However, if the accuracy of anchor positioning is suboptimal when running AR content, it can significantly diminish the user's immersive experience. We are to assess the performance of these anchors in this study. To conduct the performance evaluation, virtual 3D objects, matching the shape and size of real-world objects, we strategically positioned ourselves to overlap with their physical counterparts. Images of both real and virtual objects were captured from five distinct camera trajectories, and ARCore's performance was analyzed by examining the difference between these captured images.

하우스멜론 수확자동화를 위한 원격영상 처리알고리즘 개발 (Development of Tele-image Processing Algorithm for Automatic Harvesting of House Melon)

  • Hybrid robust image processing algorithm to extract visual features of melon during the cultivation was developed based on a wireless tele-operative interface. Features of a melon such as size and shape including position were crucial to successful task automation and future development of cultivation data base. An algorithm was developed based on the concept of hybrid decision-making which shares a task between the computer and the operator utilizing man-computer interactive interface. A hybrid decision-making system was composed of three modules such as wireless image transmission, task specification and identification, and man-computer interface modules. Computing burden and the instability of the image processing results caused by the variation of illumination and the complexity of the environment caused by the irregular stem and shapes of leaves and shades were overcome using the proposed algorithm. With utilizing operator's teaching via LCD touch screen of the display monitor, the complexity and instability of the melon identification process has been avoided. Hough transform was modified for the image obtained from the locally specified window to extract the geometric shape and position of the melon. It took less than 200 milliseconds processing time.

3D virtual clothing simulation을 활용한 여자 중학생의 브랜드교복 패턴비교 및 체형별 교복 패턴개발 (Comparison of Brand-name School Uniform Patterns for Middle School Girls and Development of School Uniform Patterns by Students' Body Shape, Using 3D Virtual Clothing Simulation)

  • In terms of junior high school girls' growth patterns during early adolescence, unlike childhood when relatively balanced growth patterns are found and high school years in which the normal adult body type is almost reached, junior high school girls display imbalanced and rapid growth. In fact, diverse size changes by body part occur with a significant difference among individuals. Therefore, it has been difficult for junior high school students to select their exact size when buying a school uniform. This study attempted to develop winter blouse and skirt patterns reflecting the latest comfortable and active school uniform trends, using middle school girl avatars of various body shapes. Skirt and blouse pattern-drawing methods and margins differed. Based on such results, research prototypes were prepared. Then, virtual wear prospective drawings, clothing pressure, and appearance were assessed by body shape. Skirts were assessed with 22 factors while blouses were analyzed with 25 factors. Then, correlations between skirts and blouses were analyzed. According to the analysis, the reason why the dart & pleats position and margin were rated low was confirmed. In a virtual wear assessment on skirt patterns by body shape, a significant difference was found in all categories except for position of the hip circumference, margin of the hips, width of the skirt, and appropriateness of waist line position. The virtual wear assessment on the blouse patterns by body shape also revealed a significant difference in all categories but fit and shape pf the back part. In blouses, a significant difference was observed around shoulders and waist in type 1 and around the belly in type 2. On the contrary, for skirts, a significant difference was found around the hips and waists in type 1 and type 2. Therefore, these factors should be considered in making blouses and skirts. The above results suggested that skirt and blouse patterns should vary by body shape. It is anticipated that there should be further studies comparing brand-name school uniforms for high school girls and school uniforms by body shape.

주물 유동해석의 VR 가시화 (VR Visualization of Casting Flow Simulation)

  • 본 연구에서는 주물의 유통해석결과를 3차원 모델로 복원하여 가상현실 디스플레이 상에 가시화 하는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 기존 CAE 해석 소프트웨어를 사용하여 유한차분법 기반 열유동 수치해석을 수행한다. 이 과정에서는 주물의 설계모델은 그 형태가 규칙적인 사각형 격자에 근사되며 용탕을 주형에 주입하는 것을 시작으로 충전이 완료될 때까지 사전에 정의된 단계수만큼 반복적으로 전체 복셀에 대한 충전도와 온도수치가 기록된다. 다음 단계에서는 그 결과별 입력으로 하여 복셀 단위로 주울 형태를 복원한다. 이 때 유통진행에 따른 각 단계에서 각 복셀의 충전여부와 온도수치를 색상에 대응시켜 복셀의 색상을 결정한다. 복원 모델은 수평형 가상현실 디스플레이 장치인 Projection Table 상에서 가시화 하였으며 액티브 스테레오 방식으로 입체화면을 제공한다.
