The results are as follows -First, the method to produce TIN(Triangulated Irregular Network) by the combination of point data and line data was showed as an alternative to construct efficient Digital Terrain Model. Second, developing GSIS-based 3-D fractal terrain modelling system, applying fractal geometry is the basic research in developing the new terrain modelling method. also, this study presented the possibility of 3-D terrain modelling with the use of fractal.
This study aims to apply 3D virtual fabric parameters - as obtained from previous research experiments - to 3D virtual clothing simulation in comparing its similarity with actual clothing as worn, with a view to verifying the objectivity and validity of the 3D virtual fabric simulation method devised by the drape image analysis method. In addition, the result is intended to be used as the basic data for new 3D virtual clothing simulation methods. As the results, 3D virtual fabric parameters designed to simulate 3D drape to be similar to actual fabrics were found to be Bending Strength, Buckling Point, Density, Particle Distance, and Shear. They were also found to be important measurements when evaluating visual similarity between drape shadow images and number of nodes. 3D virtual fabric simulation method devised by the drape image analysis method was appropriate in extracting 3D fabric parameters with the reflection of actual fabrics' physical and dynamic characteristics, in connection with 3D virtual fabric simulation. 3D virtual fabric parameters with the reflection of actual fabrics' physical and dynamic characteristics using the proposed 3D virtual fabric simulation method are accumulated and provided as a standard, this will facilitate the introduction 3D virtual fabric simulation technology.
Most recently, offshore Engineering & Construction field is concerned about integration management technology such as CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing), PDM(Product Data Management) and Enterprise Information Engineering in order to cope with the rapid change of engineering and manufacturer specification as per owner's requirement during construction stage of the project. System integration and integrated data modeling with relational database in integration management technology improve the quality of product and reduce the period of the construction project by reason of owing design information jointly. This paper represents the design methodology of system integration using Business Process Reengineering by the case study. The case study is about the offshore plant material information process from front end engineering design to detail engineering for the construction and the basis of monitoring system by integrating and sharing the design information between the 2D intelligent P&ID and 3D plant modeling using relational database. As a result of the integrated data modeling and system integration, it is possible to maintain the consistency of design process in point of view of the material balancing and reduce the design assumption/duration. Near future, this system will be expanded and connected with the MRP(Material Requirement Planing) and the POR (Purchase Order Requisition) system.
Most of ubiquitous computing devices such as stereo camera, ultrasonic sensor based MIT cricket system and other wireless sensor network devices are widely applied to the 2 Dimensional(2D) localization system in today. Because stereo camera cannot estimate the optimal location between moving node and beacon node in Wireless Personal Area Network(WPAN) under Non Line Of Sight(NLOS) environment, it is a great weakness point to the design of the 2D localization system in indoor environment. But the conventional 2D triangulation scheme that is adapted to the MIT cricket system cannot estimate the 3 Dimensional(3D) coordinate values for estimation of the optimal location of the moving node generally. Therefore, the 3D triangulation scheme based on the space segmentation in WPAN is suggested in this paper. The measuring data in the suggested scheme by computer simulation is compared with that of the geographic measuring data in the AutoCAD software system. The average error of coordinates values(x,y,z) of the moving node is calculated to 0.008m by the suggested scheme. From the results, it can be seen that the location correctness of the suggested scheme is very excellent for using the localization system in WPAN.

In this paper, we propose a technique for tracking the classification and location of each user through body proportion analysis of the normalized skeletons of multiple users obtained using RGB-D cameras. To this end, each user's 3D skeleton is extracted from the 3D point cloud and body proportion information is stored. After that, the stored body proportion information is compared with the body proportion data output from the entire frame to propose a user classification and location tracking algorithm in the entire image.
Blast design equations based on the concept of scaled distances can be obtained from the statistical analysis on measured peak particle velocity data of ground vibrations. These equations represents the minimum scale distance of various recommendations for safe blasting. Two types of scaled distance widely used in Korea are the square root scaled distance (SRSD) and cube root scaled distance (CRSD). Thus, the design equations have the forms of $D/\sqrt{W}{\geq}30m/kg^{1/2}$ and $D/\sqrt[3]{W}{\geq}60m/kg^{1/3}$ in the cases of SRSD and CRSD, respectively. With these equations and known distance, we can calculate the maximum charge weight per delay that can assure the safety of nearby structures against ground vibrations. The maximum charge weights per delay, however, are in the orders of $W=O(D^2)$ and $W=O(D^3)$ for SRSD and CRSD, respectively. So, compared with SRSD, the maximum charge for CRSD increases without bound especially after the intersection point of these two charge functions despite of the similar goodness of fits. To prevent structural damage that may be caused by the excessive charge in the case of CRSD, we suggest that CRSD be used within a specified distance slightly beyond the intersection point. The exact limit is up to the point, beyond which the charge difference of SRSD and CRSD begins to exceed the maximum difference between the two within the intersection point.

3D spatial-modeling can be used in various safety-enhancement applications and for as-built data acquisition in project-control systems. The objective of the research reported herein was to provide spatial-modeling methods that represent construction sites in an efficient manner and to validate the proposed methods by testing them in an actual construction environment. Algorithms to construct construction-site scenes and to carry out coordinate transformations in order to merge data from different acquisition locations are presented. Field experiments were conducted to establish performance parameters and validation for the proposed methods and models. Initial experimental work has demonstrated the feasibility of this approach.

This paper describes one method of reverse engineering that machines a free form shape without descriptive model. A portable five-axes 3D CMM was used to digitize point data from physical model. After approximation by rational B-spline curve from digitized point data of a geometric shape, a surface was constructed by the skinning method of the cross-sectional design technique. Since a surface patch was segmented by fifteen part, surface merging was also implemented to assure the surface boundary continuity. Finally, composite surface was transferred to commercial CAD/CAM system through IFES translation in order to machine the modeled geometric shape.

The purpose of reverse engineering design using 3D measurement data is an accurate reconstruction of real body. In oder to accomplish this object, it is important that creating exact extracting edges should be studying out first of all. This study used edge-based method to find out edge point from the measuring point data. The characteristics are analysed using the mean curvature block method on the fitting NURBS curve and defined edges through block removal condition. The results showed that only using the NURBS curve of maximum curvature analysis to define correct edge of real geometry is limited, but this segmentation approach provides simplified necessary condition for edge classification, and an effectiveness to classify a straight line, curves and fillets etc.
Geoparks are worth preserving in an environmentally and heritage. Monitoring and public attention are essential for the conservation and protection of geoparks. The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and the Structure from Motion algorithm enables effective monitoring of geoparks that are difficult to manage due to their wide range of manpower, and various spatial data derived from SfM can be utilized to improve awareness of geoparks that have been lacking. In order to prove this, firstly, we created the 3D spatial data by using the UAV and the SfM algorithm, which is one of the National geoparks of the Hantan-Imjin River area. Using this 3D data for Virtual Reality and 3D printing. After that, we verified the possibility of promoting the geopark through a simple online survey. Finally, we propose a method to utilize all the generated data from each step to promote and research for geoparks.
