  • In this paper, we design and implement a service system for mobile devices to utilize the integrated underground geospatial information map in underground exploration fields. The field utilization service system for mobile devices is designed to visualize tiled maps, 3D terrain information, underground structures, underground facilities, and ground information provided by the Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map Management System according to current position. And It is designed to reflect the results obtained from field exploration in real time. Also, the proposed system is implemented to transfer and visualize the integrated underground geospatial information map in the form of a glTF format due to constraints on wireless networks and device characteristics of mobile devices. Implemented mobile service systems can prevent accidents in underground exploration field from occurring by providing users with accurate and integrated underground geospatial data by visualizing maps and geospatial objects in three dimensions at underground exploration fields. In addition, updated underground geospatial data is transmitted in real time to the Integrated Underground Geospatial Information Map Management Systems, which can maintain up to date and accuracy.

  • This study presents the plans to derive quality items for develop the data quality standard for ensuring the quality of 3D building geospatial data in NDT(National Digital Twin). This paper is organized as follows. The first section briefly examines various factors that impact the quality of 3D geospatial data, and proposes the role and necessity of the data quality standard as a means of addressing the data errors properly and also meeting the minimum requirements of stakeholders. The second section analyzes the relationship between the standards - building data model for NDT and ISO 19157: Geospatial data quality - in order to consider directly relevant standards. Finally, we suggest three plans on developing NDT data quality standard: (1) the scope for evaluating data quality, (2) additional quality elements(geometric integrity, geometric fidelity, positional accuracy and semantic classification accuracy), and (3) NDT data quality items model based on ISO 19157. The plans reveled through the study would contribute to establish a way for the national standard on NDT data quality as well as the other standards associated with NDT over the coming years.

  • The fact that the limits of information recency, diversity, and usability are mainly caused by the supply oriented geospatial data and service development is commonly recognized. It is recently tried to overcome the limits by facilitating user experience and VGI(Volunteered Geographic Information) in several geospatial web services. This study suggests conceptual architecture and service scenario for geospatial collaborative platform prototype through review and examination of previous researches. The prototype, composed of 4 unit modules: 3D POI Creation Module, 3D POI Application Module, 3D POI/Event Management Module, 3D POI/Event Monitoring Module, provides the capability of collaboratively dealing with geospatial work. The suggested service scenario is demonstrated by developing prototype for the service modules.

  • The field of geospatial information is rapidly changing due to the development of sensor and data processing technology that can acquire location information. And demand is increasing in various related industries and social activities. The construction and utilization of three dimensional geospatial information that is easy to understand and easy to understand can be an essential element to improve the quality and reliability of related services. In recent years, 3D laser scanners are widely used as 3D geospatial information construction technology. However, 3D laser scanners may cause shadow areas where data acquisition is not possible when objects are large in size or complex in shape. In this study, 3D model of an object has been created by acquiring oblique images using an unmanned aerial vehicle and processing the data. The study area was selected, oblique images were acquired using an unmanned aerial vehicle, and point cloud type 3D model with 0.02 m spacing was created through data processing. The accuracy of the 3D model was 0.19m and the average was 0.11m. In the future, if accuracy is evaluated according to shooting and data processing methods, and 3D model construction and accuracy evaluation and analysis according to camera types are performed, the accuracy of the 3D model will be improved. In the point cloud type 3D model, Cross section generation, drawing of objects, and so on, it is possible to improve work efficiency of spatial information service and related work.

  • In mineral resource development, resource exploration is a task to find economical minerals on the surface and underground, and the success rate is low compared to the development and production stages, and it is necessary to collect a lot of data through exploration and accurately analyze the collected information. In this study, mine spatial information was constructed using a 3D (Three-dimensional) laser scanner, and accuracy evaluation was performed to obtain a maximum deviation of 0.140 m and an average of 0.095 m in the X, Y and Z directions, and the possibility of utilizing the construction of mine geospatial information through a 3D laser scanner could be presented. In addition, the ore body modeling was performed by applying the interpolation method of the ore body section using the resource exploration results. The ore body modeling result was superimposed with the modeling result of the mine geospatial information built through the 3D laser scanner to construct the ore body modeling result based on the precise mine geospatial information. The results of ore body modeling based on mine geospatial information built through research can increase the ease of data interpretation and the accuracy of the calculated data, which will greatly increase the efficiency of work related to mineral resource development and mine damage prevention in the future.

  • The V-world, Spatial information open platform map service, provides various national spatial data. Recently, with the development of IT technology, demand for 3D geospatial data that can be merged with new industries such as Internet of Things(IoT) and autonomous vehicles is increasing. Because 3D geospatial data is large and complex, many computer resources are used to provide map services. Most of the 3D map services, such as Vworld, are constructed binary data in consideration of performance. However, this type of data is incompatible because it is difficult to use in other services if there is no precise understanding of the specification. In this paper, we propose a data serialization method to improve the compatibility of new Vworld 3D format which is constructed in binary form. The performance of binary data and serialized binary data is tested and compared. As a result, it is expected that the data using the serialization technique will be similar to the binary data and contribute to improve compatibility.

  • Unlike general maps, the underground geospatial Information is a system made to view underground information in a 3D shape. This system is managed by a tile maps to lighten the data. But there are various underground structures in the basement, and the structures are made of 3D data, so the data size is large. Therefore, when a client mobile program requests a tile map, the service server fetches the requested tile map from the DB server and transmits ti to the client, but there is a transmission delay time problem. In this paper, we design the tile cache method to improve the request response speed for the tile map data provided to the client in the mobile underground geospatial information system. We propose a method in which a service server predicts and prefetchs the next tile map while the client is viewing tile map, and stores the prefetching data in the memory of client mobile terminal. Then, the transmission delay time problem can be solved.

  • As cities expand and underground utilities construction projects increase, there is an urgent need for a technology capable of analyzing the underground utilities network in 3D. Since 2015, 3D Underground Geospatial Map project, that has been integrating 15 types of underground information such as underground utilities, underground structures, and ground information, is in progress in S. Korea. However, the construction of 3D underground facilities is currently based on manual work and the logic for building a 3D model is very complicated. And it takes a lot of time and cost to process millions of large amounts of data per local governments. By presenting a framework on the processing and partial updating of the 3D underground utilities model, this paper aims to establish a plan to quickly build a 3D underground utility model at a minimum cost. The underground utilities processing and partial update automation technologies developed in this study are expected to be immediately applied to the 3D Underground Geospatial Map project.

  • The 3D laser scanner operates by measuring the distance from the sensor to the target and operates on the same principle as Electronic Distance Measuring (EDM). Recently, 3D laser scanning technology has been rapidly developed in line with the strongly increasing demand for 3D information acquisition. Therefore, it is now possible to more easily acquire geometric information of various objects existing in real space. In this study, we constructed geospatial information by using new equipment which integrated 3D laser scanner and total station, and we suggest the possibility of using new technology for geospatial information construction by comparing and analyzing with existing methods. In the study result, we demonstrated the efficiency of the geospatial information constructed by integration of 3D laser scanner and total station. The proposed method is expected to shorten the time required for data acquisition compared to the existing method using the existing total station. Furthermore, it is possible to use various methods such as cross section analysis and volume calculation using the acquired data. In the future, spatial information construction by integration of 3D laser scanner and total station will help improve work efficiency in related fields.
