New Core-Layer Soft Decoding Method for ATSC3.0 LDM-MIMO Broadcasting Systems (ATSC3.0 LDM-MIMO 방송 시스템을 위한 새로운 Core-Layer 연판정 기법)

  • In this letter, we propose a new soft decoding method for a Core-Layer(CL) signal in ATSC3.0 Layered-Division-Multiplexing Multiple-Inputs-Multiple-Outputs broadcasting systems. Unlike a conventional Gaussian-Approximation(GA) method, the proposed method decodes the CL signal by reducing a Enhanced-Layer signal simply to a QPSK signal, and thus exhibits greatly improved performance compared to the GA method especially for a lower CL injection-level.

Effects of Spatio-temporal Features of Dynamic Hand Gestures on Learning Accuracy in 3D-CNN (3D-CNN에서 동적 손 제스처의 시공간적 특징이 학습 정확성에 미치는 영향)

  • 3D-CNN is one of the deep learning techniques for learning time series data. Such three-dimensional learning can generate many parameters, so that high-performance machine learning is required or can have a large impact on the learning rate. When learning dynamic hand-gestures in spatiotemporal domain, it is necessary for the improvement of the efficiency of dynamic hand-gesture learning with 3D-CNN to find the optimal conditions of input video data by analyzing the learning accuracy according to the spatiotemporal change of input video data without structural change of the 3D-CNN model. First, the time ratio between dynamic hand-gesture actions is adjusted by setting the learning interval of image frames in the dynamic hand-gesture video data. Second, through 2D cross-correlation analysis between classes, similarity between image frames of input video data is measured and normalized to obtain an average value between frames and analyze learning accuracy. Based on this analysis, this work proposed two methods to effectively select input video data for 3D-CNN deep learning of dynamic hand-gestures. Experimental results showed that the learning interval of image data frames and the similarity of image frames between classes can affect the accuracy of the learning model.

Implementation of User Gesture Recognition System for manipulating a Floating Hologram Character (플로팅 홀로그램 캐릭터 조작을 위한 사용자 제스처 인식 시스템 구현)

  • Floating holograms are technologies that provide rich 3D stereoscopic images in a wide space such as advertisement, concert. In addition, It is possible to reduce the 3D glasses inconvenience, eye strain, and space distortion, and to enjoy 3D images with excellent realism and existence. Therefore, this paper implements a user gesture recognition system for manipulating a floating hologram characters that can be used in a small space devices. The proposed method detects face region using haar feature-based cascade classifier, and recognizes the user gestures using a user gesture-occurred position information that is acquired from the gesture difference image in real time. And Each classified gesture information is mapped to the character motion in floating hologram for manipulating a character action. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed user gesture recognition system for manipulating a floating hologram character, we make the floating hologram display devise, and measures the recognition rate of each gesture repeatedly that includes body shaking, walking, hand shaking, and jumping. As a results, the average recognition rate was 88%.

On Recovering Erased RSA Private Key Bits

  • While being believed that decrypting any RSA ciphertext is as hard as factorizing the RSA modulus, it was also shown that, if additional information is available, breaking the RSA cryptosystem may be much easier than factoring. For example, Coppersmith showed that, given the 1/2 fraction of the least or the most significant bits of one of two RSA primes, one can factorize the RSA modulus very efficiently, using the lattice-based technique. More recently, introducing the so called cold boot attack, Halderman et al. showed that one can recover cryptographic keys from a decayed DRAM image. And, following up this result, Heninger and Shacham presented a polynomial-time attack which, given 0.27-fraction of the RSA private key of the form (p, q, d, $d_p$, $d_q$), can recover the whole key, provided that the given bits are uniformly distributed. And, based on the work of Heninger and Shacham, this paper presents a different approach for recovering RSA private key bits from decayed key information, under the assumption that some random portion of the private key bits is known. More precisely, we present the algorithm of recovering RSA private key bits from erased key material and elaborate the formula of describing the number of partially-recovered RSA private key candidates in terms of the given erasure rate. Then, the result is justified by some extensive experiments.

Analysis and Development Results of W-band Transceiver Module using Open MMIC Chips (국내개발 MMIC칩을 적용한 W-Band 송수신모듈의 분석 및 제작 결과)

  • We developed W-band transceiver module using open MMIC chip such as receiver single chip and transmitting power amplifier. In order to calculate the noise figure and output power value, we analyzed the W-band transition loss from the antenna to MMIC connection and constructed the 12 channel receiver and the 5 channel transmitter. And compared with the results of the measurement. As a result, the output power of the transmitter was similar to the analytical results and the measured results at room temperature and environmental conditions. The noise figure of the receiver was also similar, but some channels showed error of about 3 dB due to manufacturing error.

  • Augmented reality (AR), which integrates virtual media into reality, is increasingly utilized across various industrial sectors, thanks to advancements in 3D graphics and mobile device technologies. The IT industry is thus carrying out active R&D activities about AR platforms. Google plays a significant role in the AR landscape, with a focus on ARCore services. An essential aspect of ARCore is the use of anchors, which serve as reference points that help maintain the position and orientation of virtual objects within the physical environment. However, if the accuracy of anchor positioning is suboptimal when running AR content, it can significantly diminish the user's immersive experience. We are to assess the performance of these anchors in this study. To conduct the performance evaluation, virtual 3D objects, matching the shape and size of real-world objects, we strategically positioned ourselves to overlap with their physical counterparts. Images of both real and virtual objects were captured from five distinct camera trajectories, and ARCore's performance was analyzed by examining the difference between these captured images.

  • In this paper, we propose the method for creating a stable stereoscopic 3D contents with the production guidelines by removing the excessive depth value and scene changes for high quality. We have developed a three-dimensional depth analysis tool for detecting the scene changes out of the production guidelines and the depth value changes excessively. The Scenes detected by depth analysis tool can be modified at the post production and it helps to make a stable stereoscopic 3D contents.

  • 최근 ATSC는 방송망 기반의 서비스호환 3DTV 방송서비스 표준완료 이후 이종망 환경에서 하이브리드 3DTV 방송서비스에 대한 표준화를 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 디지털방송 화질열화 없이 Full HD 3D 화질을 보장하기 위한 방송망 및 IP 망 연동형 3D 비디오 방송시스템을 제안한다. 특히, ISO/IEC 23009-1 DASH를 활용한 3D 부가 영상 전송, 이종망 환경하에서 안정적인 3D 비디오 동기화 및 하이브리드 3DTV 수신기 개발을 위한 시스템 타켓 디코더 모델을 기술한다. 실험결과, 제안된 기술은 하이브리드 3DTV 방송 표준화에 직접적으로 적용될 수 있으며, 하이브리드 3DTV 인코더 및 수신기 개발에 있어서 참조 모델로 활용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 3DTV 서비스는 방송 매체를 통해 3차원 입체영상을 전달함으로써 시청자에게 실감형 콘텐츠를 제공하는 기술이다. 기존 2D 방송에서 3D 방송으로의 패러다임 변화에 따라 3DTV 서비스는 차세대 방송을 위한 주요기술로 주목받고 있으며, 선진국을 중심으로 본격적인 3DTV 서비스 활성화를 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 국내외 주요 표준화 기관을 중심으로 3DTV 서비스 표준화 동향을 살펴보고, 국내에서 추진 중인 3DTV 실험방송 현황을 소개하고자 한다.

  • A study on the indoor positioning system has been active recently for the location based service indoors. In the 3 dimensional positioning system based on the acoustic signal and TDOA technology, the error characteristics of the estimated source position would be changed depending on the number of microphones and the pattern of the microphone array. In this paper, the estimated position error according to the measured distance error between the microphones and the signal source is analyzed, and the optimum microphone array is decided considering the estimated position error patterns and the total amount of the estimated position error.
