Dynamic Reconstruction Algorithm of 3D Volumetric Models (3D 볼류메트릭 모델의 동적 복원 알고리즘)

  • The latest volumetric technology's high geometrical accuracy and realism ensure a high degree of correspondence between the real object and the captured 3D model. Nevertheless, since the 3D model obtained in this way constitutes a sequence as a completely independent 3D model between frames, the consistency of the model surface structure (geometry) is not guaranteed for every frame, and the density of vertices is very high. It can be seen that the interconnection node (Edge) becomes very complicated. 3D models created using this technology are inherently different from models created in movie or video game production pipelines and are not suitable for direct use in applications such as real-time rendering, animation and simulation, and compression. In contrast, our method achieves consistency in the quality of the volumetric 3D model sequence by linking re-meshing, which ensures high consistency of the 3D model surface structure between frames and the gradual deformation and texture transfer through correspondence and matching of non-rigid surfaces. And It maintains the consistency of volumetric 3D model sequence quality and provides post-processing automation.

  • Since conventional methods for the reconstruction of 3D objects used a number of cameras or pictures, they required specific hardwares or they were sensitive to the photography environment with a lot of processing time. In this paper, we propose a 3D object reconstruction method using one photograph based on structured light in ubiquitous environments. We use color pattern of the conventional method for structured light. In this paper, we propose a novel pipeline consisting of various image processing techniques for line pattern extraction and matching, which are very important for the performance of the object reconstruction. And we propose the optimal cost function for the pattern matching. Using our method, it is possible to reconstruct a 3D object with efficient computation and easy setting in ubiquitous or mobile environments, for example, a smartphone with a subminiature projector like Galaxy Beam.

  • We implement a system for 3D structure reconstruction from multiple 2D images. It uses geometric primitives such as box, wedge, pyramid, etc, each having translation, rotation, and scale parameters. Primitives are marked on input images with GUI (Graphic User Interface). Lines made by projection of primitives onto an image correspond to marked line segments of the image. Error function is defined by disparity between them and is minimized by downhill simplex method. By assigning relationship between models, the number of parameters to solve can be decreased and the resultant models become more accurate To share variables among other models also reduces computational complexity. Experiments using real images have shown that the proposed method successfully reconstructs 3D structure.

  • In this paper, we propose a method of obtaining high density geometric information using multi-view structured light. Reconstruction error due to the difference in resolution between the projector and the camera occurs when reconstruction a 3D shape from a structured light system to a single projector. This shows that the error in the point cloud in 3D is also the same when reconstruction the shape of the object. So we propose a high density method using multiple projectors to solve such a reconstruction error.

  • In general, images captured by the color filter array are compressed after applying demosaicking process. Since this process introduces data redundancy which can reduce coding efficiency, several methods have been proposed to address this problem. While some conventional approachs convert color format to GBR or YUV 4:2:2 format, we propose to use the YCoCg 4:2:2 format to carry out compression. The proposed method shows an average bits reduction of 3.91% and PSNR increase of 0.04dB compared with H.264 YUV 4:2:0 intra-profile prediction method.

  • 본 논문에서는 비디오 영상 및 이미지 시퀀스의 특징점 추적을 통해 얻은 2D 좌표를 분해기법을 사용하여 특징점에 대응되는 3D 좌표를 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. 3D 좌표를 복원함과 동시에 카메라의 위치와 방향을 계산하였다. 분해 기법에는 직교분해기법, 스케일된 직교분해기법, 근접 원근분해기법이 있다. 본 논문에서는 형상과 카메라 움직임을 계산하는 개선된 직교 분해 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법을 실 영상에 대해 실험한 결과 구조 및 카메라 파라메터 추정의 정확성이 개선되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 다수의 적외선 카메라의 2D 패시브마커 영상을 이용한 3차원 리지드 바디(Rigid Body) 자세추정 방법을 제안한다. 1차로 개별 카메라의 내부 변수를 구하기 위해 체스보드를 이용한 칼리브레이션 과정을 수행하고, 2차 보정 과정에서 3개의 적외선 마커가 있는 삼각형 구조물을 모든 카메라가 관찰 가능하도록 움직인 후 프레임별 누적된 데이터를 계산하여 카메라 간의 상대적인 위치정보의 보정 및 업데이트를 진행한다. 이 후 각 카메라의 좌표계를 3D월드 좌표계로 변환하는 과정을 통해 3개 마커의 3차원 좌표를 복원하여 각 마커간 거리를 계산하여 실제 거리와의 차이를 비교한 결과 1mm 내외의 오차를 측정하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose an automatic displacement system for testing stability of structure. Photogrammetry is a method which can measure accurate 3D data from 2D images taken from different locations and which is suitable for analyzing and measuring the displacement of structure. This paper consists of camera calibration, feature extraction using coded target & retro-reflective circle, 3D reconstruction and analyzing accuracy. Multi-view camera which is used for measuring displacement of structure is placed with different location respectively. Camera calibration calculates trifocal tensor from corresponding points in images, from which Euclidean camera is calculated. Especially, in a step of feature extraction, we utilize sub-pixel method and pattern recognition in order to measure the accurate 3D locations.   • This paper presents an analysis technique for estimating the properties of a target's power-spill patterns observed in reconstructed SAR images, which in turn depend on the setup squint angle of the FMCW signal-based SAR system. The target responses observed in the reconstructed SAR images were affected by the range-direction and azimuth-direction of a wave projected on the ground, and the obtained results were analyzed by applying three-dimensional squinted SAR geometry. Furthermore, the rotation patterns were verified through simulations based on the FMCW signal model and back-projection algorithm. This paper summarizes the obtained evaluation results as a function of SAR geometry and squint angle.

  • In case of 3D reconstruction from dense data in uncalibrated sequence images, we encounter with the problem for searching many correspondences and the computational costs. In this paper, we propose a key frame selection method from uncalibrated images and the effective 3D reconstruction method using the key frames. Namely, it can be performed on smaller number of views in the image sequence. We extract correspondences from selected key frames in image sequences. From the extracted correspondences, camera calibration process will be done. We use the edge image to fed dense correspondences between selected key frames. The method we propose to find dense correspondences can be used for recovering the 3D structure of the scene more efficiently.
