3상 변압기를 이용한 절연형 멀티레벨 인버터 (Isolated Multi-level Inverter Using 3-Phase Transformers)

  • 본 논문에서는 3상 저주파 변압기를 이용한 절연형 멀티레벨 인버터를 제안한다. 제안된 인버터는 3상 절연형 변압기를 이용함으로 비절연형 멜티레벨 인버터와 달리 단일 직류 전원을 사용할 수 있는 장점이 있으며, 기존의 단상 변압기를 이용한 3상 멀티레벨 인버터에 비하여 변압기의 수를 줄일 수 있다. 또한 출력 기본주파수와 동일한 스위칭 주파수로 동작하는 스위칭 각 제어 방식을 통하여 출력 전압의 저차 고조파 성분과 스위치 손실을 줄일 수 있었다. Matlab을 이용한 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 제안된 방식의 타당성을 검증 하였다.

Investigation and Mitigation of Overvoltage Due to Ferroresonance in the Distribution Network

  • This paper reports an investigation of overvoltages caused by ferroresonance in the distribution system, which consists of a bank of open-delta single-phase voltage transformers. The high voltage sides of the voltage transformer are connected to the distribution system via three single-phase fuse cutouts. Due to the saturation characteristic of the transformer cores, ferroresonance can occur in the condition that the transformer is energized or deenergized with single-phase switching operation of the fuse cutouts. The simulation tool based on EMTP is used to investigate the overvoltages at the high side of voltage transformer. Bifurcation diagrams are used to present the ferroresonance behavior in ranges of different operating conditions. The simulation results are in good agreement with the results from the experiment of 22 kV voltage transformers. The mitigation technique with additional damping resistors in the secondary windings of the voltage transformers will be introduced. Brief discussion will be made on the physical phenomena related to the overvoltage and the damage of voltage transformer.

  • This paper is research result for a development of solar cell silicon ingot glowing(SCSIG) PWM converter system for 120[kW] 3[kA]. The system include 3-phase AC-DC rectifier diode converter of input voltage AC 460[V] and 60[Hz], DC-AC single phase full bridge PWM inverter of high frequency, AC-DC single-phase full wave rectifier using center-tapped of transformer for low voltage 50[V] and large current 3,000[A], carbon resistor load 0.2 [$m{\Omega}$]. PWM switching frequency for IGBT inverter control set 15KHz. The suggested researching contents are designed data sheets of power converter system, PSIM simulation, operating characteristics and analysis results of developed SCSIG system.

  • The Different-volume- V-connection transformer is known as an electric power source that can supply 3-phase electric power and single-phase electric power at the same time. Usually, we use two single-phase transformers that have different volumes. In this paper, we propose the use of a 3-phase 5-leg transformer with the different-volume- V-connection. And, we examine the magnetic properties of the 5-leg core model with the different-volume- V-connection. The magnetic properties of cores with the different-volume- V-connection are compared with those with the delta-connection. In order to express the magnetic anisotropy of the core materials and to calculate the iron loss directly, the two-dimensional vector magnetic property is considered with the E&SS modeling in the simulation.

  • 본 연구에서는 부하의 변동 시에 고품질의 전력을 얻기 위하여 중성선과 전력선에 흐르는 각각의 영상 전류 성분과 제3고조파 전류 성분을 감소시킬 수 있는 Zig-Zag 변압기, 그리고 그 변압기의 2차측에 3상 브리지 정류기와 케패시터로 구성된 단상 능동 필터를 제작하였다. 이 단상 능동 필터를 변압기와 비선형 부하에 연결시켜 각 상에 보상 전류를 발생시킴으로써, 비선형 부하로 인하여 발생하는 제3고조파 성분을 감소시킬 수 있었다.

  • 최근 중대용량의 교류전동기 구동에 다단 H-브릿지 인버터의 적용이 늘어나고 있다. 이 인버터의 주된 장점 중의 하나는 입력전류에 고조파성분이 적다는 것으로 이는 2차측이 다중의 위상이동 권선으로 이루어진 변압기를 사용함으로써 이루어진다. 본 논문은 다단 H-브릿지 인버터에 적용되는 위상이동 변압기의 권선 설계의 기본 방안과 입력전류 고조파의 이론적인 해석을 제시하고 있다. I부에서는 먼저 위상이동변압기의 입출력 전압관계식을 유도하고 위상이동과 변압기 설계와의 관련성에 대하여 서술하고 있다.

  • A solid state transformer (SST) that can interface an MVAC of three-phase 13.2 kV and a 1.5 kV DC distribution. SST consists of an AC/DC converter and a DC/DC converter with a high-frequency isolation transformer (HFIT). The AC/DC converter consists of cascaded NPC full-bridge to cope with the MVAC. The DC/DC converter applies a quad active bridge (QAB) topology to reduce the number of the HFIT. Topology analysis and controller design for this specific structure are discussed. In addition, the insulation of HFIT used in DC/DC converters is considered. The discussion is validated using a 300 kVA three-phase SST prototype.

전압변성기 비교기를 이용한 부담의 현장교정 기술 (On-Site Calibration Technology of Burden using Voltage Transformer Comparator)

  • Both ratio error and phase angle error in voltage transformer(VT) depend on values of VT burden used. Thus, precise measurement of burden is very important for the evaluation of VT. A method of evaluation for VT burden has been developed by employing the portable decade resistor, with AC-DC resistance difference less than 10-3. The burden value(value and power factor) can be obtained by conductance and susceptance, obtained by measuring the change of ratio error and phase angle error caused by the resistance change of decade resistor. The burden value and power factor obtained by the method are consistent with those obtained using power analyzer within corresponding uncertainties.

  • This paper describes a three-winding transformer protective relaying algorithm based on the ratio of increments of flux linkages (RIFL). To minimize the approximation errors, the algorithm uses integration approximation. The RIFL of the two windings is equal to the turns ratio for all operating conditions except for an internal fault. For a single-phase and three-phase transformer containing the wye-connected windings, the increments of flux linkages (IFL) are calculated. For a three-phase transformer containing the delta-connected windings, the difference of IFL between the two phases are calculated to use the line currents, because the winding currents are practically unavailable. Their ratios are compared with the turns ratio. The comparative study between the proposed and differential approximation methods was conducted. The test results show that the algorithm can reduce the errors resulting from the conventional methods.

  • The effect of V2O5 addition on the low temperature sintering of Pb(Mn1/3Sb2/3)O3-PZT ceramics, which is known as a prominent material for piezoelectric transformer application was studied, and the densification behavior and piezoelectric characteristics of the samples as a function of heating rate were also examined. V2O5 led the system to liquid phase sintering by forming liquid phase during sintering, which accelerated densification through the particle rearrangement in the early stage of sintering. The liquid phase mostly existed at grain boundaries retarded the evaporation of PbO, while the densification temperature and the weight loss of V2O5-free samples were higher than those of samples with V2O5. Faster heating improved the densification of the samples regardless of V2O5 addition. The low temperature sintering at 100$0^{\circ}C$ was achieved in PMS-PZT ceramics with high density and reasonable dielectric and piezoelectric characteristics. This result revealed optimistic way to the development of multi-layered piezoelectric transformers.
