아크롤레인의 생체 지표인 3-Hydroxypropyl Mercapturic Acid (3-HPMA)의 소변 농도와 대사증후군과의 연관성: 국민건강영양조사 2020~2021 (Association of Metabolic Syndrome with Urinary Concentration of Acrolein Biomarker 3-Hydroxypropyl Mercapturic Acid (3-HPMA): Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2020~2021)

  • Background: There are many published studies on the association between urinary concentration of 3-hydroxypropylmercapturic acid (3-HPMA), a metabolite of acrolein, and metabolic syndrome. However, inconsistent results have been reported. Additionally, there are currently no studies that have been conducted on Koreans. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the association between the urinary concentration of 3-HPMA, a metabolite of acrolein, and metabolic syndrome. Methods: We analyzed data from 1,559 Korean adults aged 19 and older who participated in the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey from 2020 to 2021. The criteria for metabolic syndrome were based on the National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel III, and the concentration of urinary 3-HPMA was divided into quartiles. The least squares means of the components of metabolic syndrome were calculated based on the concentration of 3-HPMA, and logistic regression analysis was performed to provide odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI). Results: The median concentration of 3-HPMA in the participants' urine was 420.02 (IQR: 690.51~257.30) ㎍/mL, and the prevalence of metabolic syndrome was 37.8%. In the comparison of quartiles, an increase in 3-HPMA concentration was associated with a higher prevalence of components of metabolic syndrome (OR: 3.05, 95% CI: 2.02~4.62). However, after adjusting for all covariates, no significant difference was found between the urinary concentration of 3-HPMA and the components of metabolic syndrome (OR: 1.38, 95% CI: 0.74~2.54). Conclusions: We did not find a significant association between the urinary concentration of 3-HPMA, a metabolite of acrolein, and metabolic syndrome.

  • Poly(ethylene glycol)(PEG) macromers terminated with diacrylate Iyoups and interpenetrating poly- mer networks(IPN) composed of poly(hydroxyethyl methacrylate)(PHEMA) or poly(hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-hydronypropyl methacrylate-co- N-vinyl pyrrolidone ) [ P( HEM A-co- HPM A-co- NVP) ] and PEG macromer were synthesized with the aim of obtaining protein adsorption resistant soft contact lens. Polymerization of PEC macromer resulted in the formation of cross-linked gels due to the multifunctionality of macromer. Crosslinked P(HEMA) or P(HEMA-co-HPMA-co-WVP) chains were interpenetrated into the cross-linked three-dimensional networks of PEG. It was found that albumin adsorption onto the contact lens prepared by P(HEMA-co-HPMA-co-NVP) /PEG IPW decreases with an increase of molecular weight of PEG. Also, it was found that albumin adsorption onto the both contact lens decreases with an increase of concentration of PEC macromer in the IPN preparation. There are also more adequate in the bioinertnen for the contact lens by P(HEMA)/PEG IPN or P (HEMA-co-HPMA-co-NVP)/PEG IPN than that by P(HEMA) or P(HEMA-co-HPMA-co-NVP)

4차 염화 가교화된 4-vinylpyridine 공중합체들을 사용한 습도센서의 감습 특성 (Humidity Sensitive Properties of Humidity Sensor Using Quaternized Cross-linked Copolymers of 4-Vinylpyridine)

  • The polymers with various composition of 4-vinylpyridine (4-VP) with n-butyl acrylate (n-BA) and 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate (HPMA) were synthesized as a humidity sensitive material and quaternized with 1.5-dibromopentane. Resistance versus relative humidity decreased with increase in the content of n-BA in the copolymer. The introduction of HPMA increased the resistance of the humidity sensor as well as enhanced the adherence to the alumina substrate. In the case of 4-VP/n-BA/HPMA=80/10.10, the hysteresis and temperature coefficient were $\pm$2%RH and -0.42∼0.46%RH/$\^{C}$. The average resistance at 30%RH, 60%RH and 90%RH are 3.1㏁, 155 ㏀ and 7.9 ㏀, respectively.

하이드록시기를 포함한 아크릴레이트계 모노머들의 하이드로젤 친수성 렌즈 소재로의 응용 및 특성 (Characterization and Application for Hydrogel Lens Material of Acrylate Monomers Containing Hydroxyl Group)

  • 친수성 안의료용 렌즈 재료에 하이드록시기를 가진 아크릴레이트계 모노머인 HEA(2-hydroxyethyl acrylate), HEMA(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), HPMA(hydroxypropyl methacrylate) 및 Ag nanoparticles가 첨가제로 사용되었으며, 교차결합제인 EGDMA(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate)와 개시제인 AIBN(azobisisobutyronitrile)을 사용하여 공중합하였다. 하이드로젤 친수성 렌즈는 100 ℃에서 1시간 동안 열 중합을 통해 제조되었다. 제조된 하이드로젤 친수성 렌즈의 함수율, 굴절률 그리고 광투과율을 측정함으로써 렌즈의 광·물리적 특성을 분석하였다. HEA, HEMA 그리고 HPMA의 평균 함수율은 82.12%, 37.06% 그리고 21.57%로 각각 측정되었으며, 굴절률의 경우 1.3540, 1.4330 그리고 1.4649로 각각 측정되었다. 제조된 하이드로젤 친수성 렌즈의 분광투과율을 측정한 결과, 근자외선 영역에서는 82.67%, 80.32% 그리고 79.83%로, 가시광선 투과율의 경우 89.72%, 88.24% 그리고 86.89%로 각각 측정되었다. 또한 은 나노입자를 포함한 시료의 광투과율은 근자외선 영역에서 10.59% 그리고 가시광선 투과율에서 43.74%로 각각 측정되었다. 이 결과로 볼 때 분자길이는 중합된 고분자 물질의 함수율 및 굴절률에 영향을 주는 것으로 판단된다.

  • 고분자막 습도센서의 감습재료로 사용하기 위하여 vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC), methyl methacrylate (MMA) 그리고 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HPMA)의 여러 가지 조성의 공중합체를 합성하여, 이를 전극에 도포하고 N, N, N', N'-tetraethylene diamine으로 4차 암모늄화 시켜 최종 습도센서를 제조하였다. 상대습도에 따른 저항 변화를 측정한 결과, 공중합체에서 MMA의 조성이 증가하면 저항이 증가하였으며, HEMA의 도입은 친수성기의 작용으로 저항의 증가는 크지 않았으며 강습막의 기판과의 접착성은 크게 향상되었다 또한 VBC/MMA/HEMA=80/10/10의 경우 히스테리시스는 $\pm$2%RH 안에서 나타났으며, 온도의존성 계수는 -0.42~-0.46%RH/$^{\circ}C$이었다. 30%RH, 60%RH 그리고 90%RH에서의 저항 값은 각각 3.0M$\Omega$,,200k$\Omega$ 그리고 9k$\Omega$ 이었다.

RTLS를 이용한 위험구역 관리방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Hazardous Area Management using the RTLS)

  • Interest to the RTLS is increasing recently, and the RTLS is used in various fields. It is one of applications for locating and tracking using RFID tags which are attached to something like container, pallet, or all thing. In this study, a RTLS system was developed for efficient safe management in chemical industry. This system could manage dangerous substance and a personal history regarding entry. Detailed results of this study are as follows: (1) Through RTLS entry management system which is developed this study, the events along a movement of dangerous substances and the person in charge could be grasped and recorded. (2) A user, goods and a warehouse could be managed and monitored efficiently as using the developed RTLS history system. (3) RTLS system will contribute to efficient safety management of the chemical industry. Besides, RTLS system might be applied to the other industries like shipbuilding and car industry.
