  • ECS(Error Compensation Software)는 알루미늄 자유곡면 반사경의 형상정밀도를 향상시키기 위해 개발된 보정가공 소프트웨어이다. DTM(Diamond Turning Machine)을 이용한 가공공정에서 가공오차의 변화를 쉽게 확인하며 형상을 보정할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 보정가공 공정은 (1) 10차 다항식을 이용하여 표면을 설계한 후 DTM에 입력할 가공경로 계산, (2) DTM에 가공경로를 입력하여 가공, (3) 3차원 초정밀 형상측정 장비로 반사경의 가공오차 분석, (4) 가공오차를 보정하여 새로운 10차 다항식 설계, (5) 보정가공경로 계산 후 재가공으로 이루어진다. 그동안의 공정은 다항식의 설계, 가공경로 계산, 반사경의 가공오차 분석을 위해 다수의 프로그램들을 실행해야만 했다. 본 연구에서는 ECS가 알루미늄 자유곡면 반사경 제작을 위한 통합 보정가공 소프트웨어를 제공하여, 사용자가 작업을 효율적으로 수행하기를 기대한다.

A Study on the One-Stage 3-Dimensional Axial Turbine Performance Test with Different Incidence Angle (입사각 변경에 따른 단단 3차원 축류형 터빈의 성능시험에 관한 연구)

  • An axial-type turbine design technology is developed. In order to design one-stage turbine, the preliminary design method is applied, and then design parameters are chosen after analyzing gas properties within the turbine passage using the streamline curvature method. Stator blade is designed using C4 profile, and rotor blade is designed using shape parameters. Stator is manufactured as an integral type and rotor is manufactured to be disassembled from the disc for changing blade incidence angle. The output power from the rotor is measured with various RPM and input power. Experimental results show that the maximum efficiency of turbine rotor is obtained on the design point, and the output power is proportionally decreased with the negative incidence angle even the test turbine is a reaction turbine. The efficiency of turbine rotor is decreased to 5% by $7.5^{\cire}$ negative incidence angle from the designed value.

  • 본 발표에서는, 3차원 형상의 피스톤을 모방절삭이 아닌 CNC절삭을 행하기 위해 고속 이송계의 개발 사례를 다루었다. 여기서 다양한 고속 이송계의 구축형태와 적용 가능한 핵심요소 부품들을 비교하여 고속 이송 시스템으로서의 장단점을 검토하였다. 또한 타원형상의 가공물을 고속으로 처리하기 위한 소프트웨어와 제어보드에 대해 자세히 설명하였다. 비대칭 원형 절삭가공을 위한 장치개발이 공작기계 설계의 축소판이다.

A Network-Distributed Design Optimization Approach for Aerodynamic Design of a 3-D Wing (3차원 날개 공력설계를 위한 네트워크 분산 설계최적화)

  • An aerodynamic design optimization system for three-dimensional wing was developed as a part of the future MDO framework. The present design optimization system includes four modules such as geometry design, grid generation, flow solver and optimizer. All modules were based on commercial softwares and programmed to have automated execution capability in batch mode utilizing built-in script and journaling. The integration of all modules into the system was accomplished through programming using Visual Basic language. The distributed computational environment based on network communication was established to save computational time especially for time-consuming aerodynamic analyses. The distributed aerodynamic computations were performed in conjunction with the global optimization algorithm of response surface method, instead of using usual parallel computation based on domain decomposition. The application of the design system in the drag minimization problem demonstrated considerably enhanced efficiency of the design process while the final design showed reasonable results of reduced drag.

  • This study is concerned with radial turbine design and performance improvement of a turbo generator system, which is used for maximizing performance of a 250kW MCFC fuel cell system. A preliminary design of a radial turbine has been performed under the thermodynamic and fluid-dynamic conditions determined by a cycle analysis of the MCFC BOP system. Basic demensions are determined by a meanline analysis and calculation of radial variation at the exit of the turbine. The turbine impeller is designed and modified by iterative processes of three dimensional flow analysis.

  • 산업,기술계에서 어떤 기계부품이 직접 제조되기 전에 샘플용으로시험 제작하여 부품의 형상, 디자인, 금형제작 에 관한 제반사항을 미리 알아보는 것은 제품의 정확한 형상이 나오도록 하는데 아주 중요하다. Rapid Prototyping( 급속입체표현)은 설계자의 의도를 실제성형물로서 제품개발 초기단계에서 빠르게 제작, 검증할 수 있으며, CAD/CAM 통합에의한 자동생산체제를 응용하여 Concurrent Engineering에도 적용 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 위의 Rapid Prototyping을 위한 형상 제작기법중의 하나인 StercoLithography를 이용한 3차원 입체형상의 제작을 위해 반드시 필요한 Supprot Algorithm에 대하여 연구하였다.

Study of Efficient Aerodynamic Shape Design Optimization with Uncertainties (신뢰성을 고려한 효율적인 공력 형상 최적 설계에 대한 연구)

  • The conventional reliability based design optimization(RBDO) methods require high computational cost compared with the deterministic design optimization(DO) methods, therefore it is hard to apply directly to large-scaled problems such as an aerodynamic shape design optimization. In this study, to overcome this computational limitation the efficient RBDO procedure with the two-point approximation(TPA) and adjoint sensitivity analysis is proposed, that the computational requirement is nearly the same as DO and the reliability accuracy is good compared with that of RBDO. Using this, the 3-D aerodynamic shape design optimization is performed very efficiently.

  • In this paper, we propose a 3D shape restoration system which measures height and surface shape of transparent ITO glass and delivers errors in focal length and incident angle of laser beam to femto-second laser micromachining. The proposed system is composed of a line scan laser, a high resolution camera, a linear motion guide synchronized to image capturing, and a control station. Also, we define the sensitivity indices that represent a relation between measurement error and a position of a camera and scan laser, and utilize it for optimum design. The results of the proposed system are compared with results of SPM(Scanning Probe Microscope) and prove the usefulness of the system.

  • Since IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) 4 is based on the representation of 3D elements for an architecture project, and does not define standardized shapes for civil projects such as roads, bridges, and tunnels etc, it has limitations in securing interoperability for exchanging a shape information model for the civil projects. Besides, since road facilities have a linear reference, which is modeled along the center alignment, it is difficult the designers to create a standardized 3D road model. The aim of this study is to configure structure elements and their attribute for a road in the perspective of 3D design for developing a shape information model for the road. To solve these issues, this study analyzes the design documents, which consist of a road design handbook, guide, specifications and standards, and then extract shape elements and their attributes of road structures. Such shape elements are defined as an entity item and we review a hierarchical structure of a road shape defined by a virtual road model. The detailed elements and their attributes can be utilized as a 3D shape information model for constructing BIM (Building Information Modeling) environment for Infrastructures. Besides, it is expected that the suggested items will be utilized as a base data for extending to IFC for a road subdividing the detailed shapes, types and attributes for road projects.

  • 기계부품의 설계는 일반적으로 정면도, 평면도, 측면도로 구성되는 삼면도를 이용하여 이루어진다. 본 연구에서는 삼면도를 이용한 3차원 물체의 parametric design 방법을 제시한다. parametric design 기법을 구현하기 위 하여 인공지능기법을 이용하고, 삼면도로부터 입체를 생성하기 위하여는 기 하학적이고 단계적인 접근방법을 이용한다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방법은 삼면 도를 사용하여 설계하기 때문에 기존의 설계방법과 같을 뿐 아니라, 파라메 트릭 기능을 가지고 있어서 설계가 완성된 이후에 형상의 수정을 쉽게 할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 또한 기존의 2차원 도면을 입체모델(solid model)로 바 꾸어 줄 수 있는 기능도 수행할수 있다.
