Control Net Generation for Parametric control of freeform shape (자유형상의 파라메트릭 변형을 위한 조정 다각형 생성)

  • 특징 형상의 조합으로 표현될 수 없는 자유 형상을 가진 제품이 늘어남에 따라 자유형상을 효율적으로 변형시키는 기법이 필요하다. 여러 가지 자유형상 변형기법(FFD) 가운데에서 자유 형상을 파라메트릭하게 컨트롤하기 위해서는 조정 다각형 기반의 형상 변형 기법이 적합하다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 FFD 기법을 적용하여 자유형상 모델을 파라메트릭하게 컨트롤하기 위해 입력 모델에 대한 조정 다각형을 자동으로 생성하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 크게 기본 조정 다각형 생성과 조정 다각형 최적화 단계로 나누어진다. 기본 다각형 생성에서는 1)입력모델을 직교 3방향에 투영, 2)투영된 결과에 대해 2차원 조정 다각형을 생성, 3)2차원 조정 다각형을 조합하여 3차원 기본 조정 다각형 생성의 단계를 거친다. 조정 다각형 최적화 단계에서는 기본 조정 다각형에 에지 및 면 연산자를 적용하여 입력 모델에 더욱 근사하는 최종 조정 다각형을 생성한다. 예제에서는 제안된 알고리즘을 통해 자동으로 생성된 조정다각형을 자동차 모델에 적용하여 모델의 형상을 변화시킨 결과를 보였다.

Fast Structure Recovery and Integration using Improved Scaled Orthographic Factorization (개선된 직교분해기법을 사용한 빠른 구조 복원 및 융합)

  • This paper proposes a 3D structure recovery and registration method that uses four or more common points. For each frame of a given video, a partial structure is recovered using tracked points. The 3D coordinates, camera positions and camera directions are computed at once by our improved scaled orthographic factorization method. The partially recovered point sets are parts of a whole model. A registration of point sets makes the complete shape. The recovered subsets are integrated by transforming each coordinate system of the local point subset into a common basis coordinate system. The process of shape recovery and integration is performed uniformly and linearly without any nonlinear iterative process and without loss of accuracy. The execution time for the integration is significantly reduced relative to the conventional ICP method. Due to the fast recovery and registration framework, our shape recovery scheme is applicable to various interactive video applications. The processing time per frame is under 0.01 seconds in most cases and the integration error is under 0.1mm on average.

초음속 마이크로노즐에 적합한 프로파일을 위한 공정변수의 최적화

  • 마이크로노즐은 우주공간에서 인공위성의 자세를 바로잡는 데 필요한 마이크로 로켓에 들어가는 필수적인 부품이다. 마이크로 노즐은 또한 나노입자 적층 시스템(nano-particle deposition system, NPDS)에 들어갈 수 있다. NPDS는 세라믹 또는 금속 나노분말 입자를 노즐을 통해 초음속으로 가속시킨 뒤 상온에서 이를 기판에 적층시키는 새로운 시스템이다. 본 연구의 목표는 NPDS에 쓰이는 노즐을 일반적인 반도체 공정을 이용하여 마이크론 스케일의 목을 갖도록 한 마이크로노즐을 제작하는 데 있다. 보쉬 공정은 이러한 마이크로노즐을 제작하는데 필수적인 공정으로, 유도결합플라즈마를 이용해 실리콘 웨이퍼를 식각시키는 기술을 말한다. 보쉬 공정에 사용되는 플라즈마 기체는 $SF_6$$C_4F_8$인데, 이 두 가지 기체를 번갈아가면서 사용하여 실리콘 웨이퍼를 이방성 식각하는 것이 그 특징이다. 보쉬 공정에는 다양한 변수가 존재하며 이를 적절히 통제하면 마이크로노즐에 적합한 프로파일을 실리콘 웨이퍼 내에 형성시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 보쉬 공정을 이용하여 3차원 마이크로 노즐을 제작하였다. 기존에 반응성이온식각(deep reactive ion etching, DRIE) 공정을 통해 마이크로노즐을 제작한 사례가 많이 보고되었지만 이들은 모두 2차원적으로 마이크로노즐을 제작하였다. 2차원적으로 제작한 마이크로노즐은 마이크로 로켓에 주로 사용되었지만, 초음속으로 가속된 분말이 노즐의 형상으로 인한 유체 흐름의 불안정성 때문에 NPDS에서는 오래도록 사용할 수 없다는 문제점이 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 마이크로노즐을 3차원 형상으로 제작함으로써 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다.

Feature Detection using Measured 3D Data and Image Data (3차원 측정 데이터와 영상 데이터를 이용한 특징 형상 검출)

  • 3D scanning is a technique to measure the 3D shape information of the object. Shape information obtained by 3D scanning is expressed either as point cloud or as polygon mesh type data that can be widely used in various areas such as reverse engineering and quality inspection. 3D scanning should be performed as accurate as possible since the scanned data is highly required to detect the features on an object in order to scan the shape of the object more precisely. In this study, we propose the method on finding the location of feature more accurately, based on the extended Biplane SNAKE with global optimization. In each iteration, we project the feature lines obtained by the extended Biplane SNAKE into each image plane and move the feature lines to the features on each image. We have applied this approach to real models to verify the proposed optimization algorithm.

Design of Face Recognition Algorithm based Optimized pRBFNNs Using Three-dimensional Scanner (최적 pRBFNNs 패턴분류기 기반 3차원 스캐너를 이용한 얼굴인식 알고리즘 설계)

  • In this paper, Face recognition algorithm is designed based on optimized pRBFNNs pattern classifier using three-dimensional scanner. Generally two-dimensional image-based face recognition system enables us to extract the facial features using gray-level of images. The environmental variation parameters such as natural sunlight, artificial light and face pose lead to the deterioration of the performance of the system. In this paper, the proposed face recognition algorithm is designed by using three-dimensional scanner to overcome the drawback of two-dimensional face recognition system. First face shape is scanned using three-dimensional scanner and then the pose of scanned face is converted to front image through pose compensation process. Secondly, data with face depth is extracted using point signature method. Finally, the recognition performance is confirmed by using the optimized pRBFNNs for solving high-dimensional pattern recognition problems.

Formation of Oxy-Fuel MILD Combustion under Different Operating Conditions (가동조건 변화에 따른 순산소 마일드 연소 형성 연구)

  • Although the formation of oxy-fuel MILD combustion is considered one of the promising combustion technologies for high thermal efficiency, low emissions and stability have been reported as difficulties. In this paper, the effect of combustor geometry and operating conditions on the formation of oxy-fuel MILD combustion was analyzed using numerical simulation. The results show that the high temperature region and average temperature decreased due to an increase in oxygen inlet velocity; moreover, a high degree of temperature uniformity was achieved using an optimized combination of fuels and an oxygen injection configuration without external oxygen preheating. In particular, the oxy-fuel MILD combustion flame was found to be very stable with a combustion flame region at equivalence ratio 0.90, fuel velocity 10 m/s, oxygen velocity 200 m/s, and nozzle distance 33.5 mm.

RGB Channel Selection Technique for Efficient Image Segmentation (효율적인 이미지 분할을 위한 RGB 채널 선택 기법)

  • Upon development of information super-highway and multimedia-related technoiogies in recent years, more efficient technologies to transmit, store and retrieve the multimedia data are required. Among such technologies, firstly, it is common that the semantic-based image retrieval is annotated separately in order to give certain meanings to the image data and the low-level property information that include information about color, texture, and shape Despite the fact that the semantic-based information retrieval has been made by utilizing such vocabulary dictionary as the key words that given, however it brings about a problem that has not yet freed from the limit of the existing keyword-based text information retrieval. The second problem is that it reveals a decreased retrieval performance in the content-based image retrieval system, and is difficult to separate the object from the image that has complex background, and also is difficult to extract an area due to excessive division of those regions. Further, it is difficult to separate the objects from the image that possesses multiple objects in complex scene. To solve the problems, in this paper, I established a content-based retrieval system that can be processed in 5 different steps. The most critical process of those 5 steps is that among RGB images, the one that has the largest and the smallest background are to be extracted. Particularly. I propose the method that extracts the subject as well as the background by using an Image, which has the largest background. Also, to solve the second problem, I propose the method in which multiple objects are separated using RGB channel selection techniques having optimized the excessive division of area by utilizing Watermerge's threshold value with the object separation using the method of RGB channels separation. The tests proved that the methods proposed by me were superior to the existing methods in terms of retrieval performances insomuch as to replace those methods that developed for the purpose of retrieving those complex objects that used to be difficult to retrieve up until now.
