Interrelation on the Electronic Structure and Spectroscopic-Photoeletric Characteristics in the Cyanine and Merocyanine Dye(II) (Cyanine 및 Merocyanine색소의 분광특성 및 광전특성에 대한 전자구조의 상관관계(II))

  • Organic thin film electroluminescene devices were fabricated using by molecularly doped method with N,N`-diphenyl-N,N`-bis(3-methylphenyl)-1,1`-biphenyl-4,4`-diamine(TPD) as a hole transport material, tris(8-quinolinolate) aluminium(III)(Alq3) as an emitting and electron transport agent, fluorescent squarylium(SQ) dye as a dopant, and poly(methylmethacrylate) as polymer materials. A cell structure of ITO/TPD-PMMA/Alq3-dopant/Mg was employed. The EL spectrum covers a wide range of the visible region and orange emission os observed. Two peaks at 520 and 660nm correspond to the emissions 620nm Alq3 and SQ dye, respectively.

  • We demonstrate p-doped organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) comprising tungsten oxide ($WO_3$) and 1,4-bis[N-(1-naphthyl)-N'-phenylamino]-4,4' diamine (NPB). We propose the NPB : $WO_3$ composition functions as a p-doping layer which significantly improves hole injection that leads to the fabrication of 4-(dicyano-methylene)-2-methyl-6-(p-dimethylaminos tyryl)-4H-pyrane (DCMl) based p-doped OLEDs with high efficiency and long lifetime.

  • We studied the electrical properties of Copper(II)-phthalocyanine (Cu-Pc) as a hole transport layer in organic light emitting devices (OLEDs). OLEDs were constructed with ITO/CU-Pc/triphenyl-diamine (TPD)/tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum ( Alq$_3$) + 4- (Dicyanomethylene)-2-methyl-6-(4-dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyran (DCM)/Al. It was consisted of a thin DCM in Alq$_3$emission layer. We observed that the change of recombination zone was moved toward the cathode as the hole mobility increased due to the heat-treatment temperature of Cu-Pc layer increased.

  • The Lithium ion secondary battery has been developed for high energy density of portable electrical device and electronics. Among the many conductive polymer materials, the positive active film for Li polymer battery system was synthesized successfully from polyphenylene diamine(PPD) by chemical polymerization in our lab. And PPD-DMcT(2, 5-dimercapto-1, 3, 4-thi-adiazole) composite flim conductive material, at high temperature was also prerared with the addition of dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO). The surface morphology and thermal stability of prepared composite flim was carried out by using SEM and TGA, respectively. Electrochemical and electrical conductivity of composite flim were also discussed by cyclic voltammetry and four-probe method in dry box(<27pm). And the electrode reaction mechanism was detected and analyzed from the half cell unit battery system.

  • An amide group was introduced to restrain the cohesion of silica nano-particles and copolymerized with polyamic acid. Amide block copolymers were prepared using silica and (3-mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane (MPTMS) with a siloxane group, using 2, 6-Lutidine as a catalyst. Amide block polymers and copolymers were synthesized via ATRP after brominating pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) and polyamic acid of methylene diphenyl diamine (MDA) using ${\alpha}$-bromo isobutyryl bromide. Characteristic peaks of copolymer with amide and imide groups and patterns of amorphous polymers were studied using FT-IR and XRD analyses; an analysis of the surface characteristic groups was conducted via XPS. Changes in the thermal properties were examined through DSC and TGA; solubility for solvents was also studied.

  • 본 실험에서는 적색 유기 EL에서의 각 층별 두께비에 따른 발광특성을 조사하였다. 정공수송층으로 TPD(N,N'-dyphenyl-N-N'-bis(3-methyphenyl)-1, 1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine)를 사용하였으며, 전자수송층 및 적색 발광층으로는 DCM(4-(Dicyanomethyl)2-methy 1-6-(dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyrane)를 사용하여 정공 수송층과 전자수송층의 두께비를 변화시켰을 때, 발광특성을 조사하였다.

  • Indium tin oxide (ITO) was used as the top anode of top emission inverted organic light emitting diodes (TEIOLEDs). TEIOLEDs were fabricated by deposition of an aluminum bottom cathode, an N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(3-methylphenyl)-1, 1'-diphenyl-4, 4 1'-diamine (TPD) hole transport layer, a tris-8-hydroxyquinoline aluminum ($Alq_3$) emission layer, and an ITO top anode sequentially. ITO was deposited by r.f. magnetron sputtering without $O_2$ flow during the deposition. After the deposition, the deposited ITO layer was kept under oxygen atmosphere for the oxidation. The characteristics of the TEOILED were affected significantly by the post-deposition oxidation condition.

Characteristic Improvements of Organic Light Emitting Diodes By Using Co-Evaporated Cathodes

  • In order to improve the power efficiency of multi-layer organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), electron injection into ETL(electron transport layer) from cathode at the interface between ETL and cathode was enhanced by interposing a proper electron injection layer at the interface. The HTL(hole transport layer) and ETL materials used were N, N'diphenyl- N, N' - bis(3-methylphenyl-1, 1'- biphenyl - 4, 4 'diamine (TPD) and tris (8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum ($Alq_3$) respectively. Cathodes using co-evaporated Al-CsF, Al-KF, and Al-NaF composites are adopted to enhance the electrical and optical properties of OLEDs. OLEDs with alkaline metal-doped cathode show a luminance of as high as 35,000 cd/$m^2$, and external quantum efficiency about 1.35 %. In addition, they show higher power efficiency at all bias conditions and good reproducibility.

  • This experiment was performed to investigate the electrocardiographic changes in experimentally induced hypocalcemia and hypercalcemia in Korean black goats by dosing with 5% disodiumethylene diamine tetraacetic acid at 0.07$m\ell$/kg body weight/min and 10% Ca-borog-luconate at 0.075 $m\ell$/kg body weight/min, respectively. the result were summarized as follows: Heart rate, S-T segment and Q-Tc interval at 3.23 ${\pm}$ 0.10mEq/L plasma calcium level(hypocalcemia) were increased to 100${\pm}$10.5 rate/min, 132 ${\pm}$10msec and 510${\pm}$40msec, respectively. Heart rate, S-T segment and Q-T interval at 6.89${\pm}$0.23mEq/L plasma calcium level(hypercalcemia) were decreased to 73.2${\pm}$5.16 rate/min, 87${\pm}$10msec and 372${\pm}$30msec, respectively. The degree of changes of the heart rate, S-T segment and Q-Tc interval at low plasma calcium level was higher than those at high plasma calcium level.

  • Mechanical properties and water stability of HAC/PVA based MDF cement composite were investigated using polyurethane(PU) resin, silane coupling agent and various PVA. The results were as follows ; The flexural strength of MDF cement composite increased as increasing with PVA content. Low-viscosity PVA developed higher flexural strength than high-viscosity PVA under a drying curing condition. But the strength of water immersed specimen decreased. Water stability of MDF cement improved as increasing with content of PU. Consequently, water stability of polyurethane 7% added MDF cement was about 2 times higher than that of the controlled specimen. Furthermore, the strength and water stability of diamine group based silane couling agent in using MDF cement increased and improved dramatically.
