  • The sunlight tracking and reflexing system can be divided into two parts. One is a sunlight tracking system and the other is a sunlight reflexing system. The sunlight tracking system detects an azimuth angie and an elevation angle of the sun using 2-axis sensor sun tracker. The sunlight reflexing system controls a reflection mirror to be reflected a sunlight at the target area after getting the azimuth angle and the elevation angle of the sun from the sunlight tracking system. We applied the fuzzy PID controller to control the reflexing mirror.

  • This paper describes the antenna alignment method of the tracking antenna system for LEO satellite. The purpose of the antenna alignment is to reduce the angular error due to the structural alignment and the monopulse null point alignment error. The angular error of 3 axis tracking system is the key performance parameter that should be minimized to accurately track satellite movement. The angular error is analyzed via a simulation and boresight measurement. The simulation is done with formulas to be derived from vector concept for 3-axis movement. The formulas of the structural alignment are verified by comparing the formula result with the field measurement. Also, the angular error due to monopulse null shift is obtained via boresight measurement. Based on the analyzed and measured results, the antenna alignment was performed and was verified via tracking test of operating LEO satellite.

  • In this paper, a prototype of implementable Sun tracking algorithm for mobile systems powered by alternative energy is proposed. The proposed system uses 2-axis tilt sensor and 3-axis magnetic sensor to measure orientation and posture of the system according to the horizon coordinates system, which are used to compensate tilt effects. Then through astronomical calculation using the present time and position informations obtained from GPS sensors, the calculated azimuth and altitude of the Sun in that location. The position of the Sun is converted to that of the mobile Sun tracking system coordinates and used to control A-axis and C-axis of the system.

  • Necessarily, it is required to analyze interfacial mechanism between tire and road for understanding tire wear, vehicle tracking and breaking. Therefore, there have been some efforts to measure 3-axis pressure and 2-axis displacement on tire road interface. But it was so hard to couple precisely measuring sensor and desired point on tire tread pattern block that it was impossible to analyze the mechanism on commercial tire with tread pattern. To overcome such a problem, a on-line measurement system is proposed in this paper. And an automatic control system is designed to test the tire with similar configuration of real vehicle driving.

  • Heliostat, as a mirror system tracking the sun's movement, is the most important subsystem determining the efficiency of solar thermal power plant. Thus the accurate sun tracking performance under the various hazardous operating condition, is required. This study presents a methodology of development of the solar ray tracing technique and the application of it in the analysis of sun tracking error due to the heliostat geometrical errors. The geometrical errors considered here are the azimuth axis tilting error and the elevation axis tilting error. We first analyze the geometry of solar ray reflected from the heliostat. Then the point on the receiver, where the solar ray reflected from the heliostat is landed, is computed and compared with the original intended point, which represents the sun tracking error. The result obtained shows that the effect of geometrical error on the sun tracking performance is varying with time(season) and the heliostat location. It also shows that the heliostat located near the solar tower has larger sun tracking error than that of the heliostat located farther.

  • While traditional two-axis tracking systems with double sensors had been using two sensors to control azimuth and elevation angle of the sun so that a solar cell module would make a normal line with the sun, this paper proposed a new two-axis system that can achieve the same performance with only one sensor in it. It is Two-axis tracking system that control azimuth and elevation to control to be reduced for solar cell module as proposed tracking system uses 1 sensors and the sun always forms normal. Two-axis tracking system of one sensor method that propose in paper that could reduce electric power consumption and sees than fixed type preventing action and the most efficient driving and needless drive could confirm that generation efficiency of about 23 [%] increases. To heighten efficiency of solar cell doing to receive more sunlights chasing the sun, done tracking device have proceeded a lot of studies in large size way. Therefore, is expected that will do big part in the sun tracking supply through utility study about persistent generation efficiency constructing monitoring system of the sun tracking of this paper.

  • Linear motor food system control algorithm was extended to the two axis system. Among several factors considered, overshoot of the response was the most important one in minimizing position tracking error. Balance between overshoot and settling time has to be adjusted to guarantee to best tracking performance. Tracking route was carefully executed to eliminate the possible error during the machining process. Even though there exists slight discrepancy between desired mute and cutting track at the corner, precision machining could be implemented using the cutting scheme introduced.

  • Tracking and detecting targets by the millimeter wave seeker is affected by moving of platform. In order to perform the tracking performance, stabilization of a millimeter wave seeker which consists of 2-axis gimbals was considered in this study. The feasibility of the analysis and the 2-axis gimbal servo system modeling design were verified along with some simulation results.
