We establish a characterization theorem of elliptic paraboloids in the (n+1)-dimensional Euclidean space 𝔼n+1 with extrinsic properties such as the (n+1)-dimensional volumes of regions enclosed by the hyperplanes and hypersurfaces, and the n-dimensional areas of projections of the sections of hypersurfaces cut off by hyperplanes.
Low-dimensional (zero-dimensional (0-dim), 2-dimensional (2-dim)) nanoparticles, such as chalcogenide compound semiconductors, III-V semiconductors, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), II-VI semiconductors, nanocarbons, hybrid quantum dots (QDs), and perovskite QDs (PQDs), for which blue light emission has been observed, are reviewed. Current synthesis and device fabrication technologies as well as their prospective applications on next-generation quantum-dot-based light-emitting diodes are discussed.
The aim of the paper is to study an η-Einstein soliton on (2n + 1)-dimensional (k, µ)-contact metric manifold. At first, we establish various results related to (2n + 1)-dimensional (k, µ)-contact metric manifold that exhibit an η-Einstein soliton. Next we study some curvature conditions admitting an η-Einstein soliton on (2n+1)-dimensional (k, µ)-contact metric manifold. Furthermore, we consider specific conditions associated with an η-Einstein soliton on (2n+1)-dimensional (2n+1)-dimensional (k, µ)-contact metric manifold. Finally, we show the existance of an η-Einstein soliton on (k, µ)-contact metric manifold.

In orthodontics and orthognathic surgery. cephalogram has been routine practice in diagnosis and treatment evaluation of craniofacial deformity. But its inherent distortion of actual length and angles during projecting three dimensional object to two dimensional plane might cause errors in quantitative analysis of shape and size. Therefore, it is desirable that three dimensional object is diagnosed and evaluated three dimensionally and three dimensional CT image is best for three dimensional analysis. Development of clinic necessitates evaluation of result of treatment and comparison before and after surgery. It is desirable that patient that was diagnosed and planned by three dimensional computed tomography before surgery is evaluated by three dimensional computed tomography after surgery. too. But Because there is no standardized normal values in three dimension now and three dimensional Computed Tomography needs expensive equipments and because of its expenses and amount of exposure to radiation. limitations still remain to be solved in its application to routine practice. If postoperative three dimensional image is constructed by pre and postoperative lateral and postero-anterior cephalograms and preoperative three dimensional computed tomogram. pre and postoperative image will be compared and evaluated three dimensionally without three dimensional computed tomography after surgery and that will contribute to standardize normal values in three dimension. This study introduced new method that computer-simulated three dimensional image was constructed by preoperative three dimensional computed tomogram and pre and postoperative lateral and postero-anterior cephalograms. and for validation of new method. in four cases of dry skull that position of mandible was displaced and four patients of orthognathic surgery. computer-simulated three dimensional image and actual postoperative three dimensional image were compared. The results were as follows. 1. In four cases of dry skull that position of mandible was displaced. range of displacement between computer-simulated three dimensional images and actual postoperative three dimensional images in co-ordinates values was from -1.8 mm to 1.8 mm and 94% in displacement of all co-ordinates values was from -1.0 mm to 1.0 mm and no significant difference between computer-simulated three dimensional images and actual postoperative three dimensional images was noticed(p>0.05). 2. In four cases of orthognathic surgery patients, range of displacement between computersimulated three dimensional images and actual postoperative three dimensional images in coordinates values was from -6.7 mm to 7.7 mm and 90% in displacement of all co-ordinates values was from -4.0 to 4.0 mm and no significant difference between computer-simulated three dimensional images and actual postoperative three dimensional images was noticed(p>0.05). Conclusively. computer-simulated three dimensional image was constructed by preoperative three dimensional computed tomogram and pre and postoperative lateral and postero-anterior cephalograms. Therefore. potentiality that can construct postoperative three dimensional image without three dimensional computed tomography after surgery was presented.
Kansai International Airport (KIX) was opened in September 1994. Although 26 years have passed since the completion of the first island, long-term settlement is still in progress. This settlement occurs in the Pleistocene layer. For it is not easy to determine the permeability of the Pleistocene sand layer because the thickness and the degree of fine content in the horizontal direction are constantly changing. In addition, it is also a difficult to predict the interactive behavior of the ground due to the construction of the second phase island adjacent to it. In order to solve this problem, a two-dimensional finite element analysis considering elasto-viscoplastic was performed to evaluate the long-term deformation, including the interactive behavior of the alternating Pleistocene foundation due to the construction of two adjacent reclaimed islands. In general, two-dimensional analysis can be used when a section can represent the entire sections. However, Kansai Airport is an artificial reclaimed island so two-dimensional analysis cannot solve the problem such as the stress deformation in the corners of the island. Additionally, the structure of the actual sub-ground through physical exploration is non-homogeneity and its thickness is also not constant. Therefore, there are limitations for the two-dimensional analysis to explain the phenomena. That is, three-dimensional analysis is strongly required. Due to these demands, the author extended the existing two-dimensional program capable of elasto-viscoplastic analysis to three-dimensional and completed the verification of the three-dimensional program developed through one-dimensional consolidation analysis. In order to demonstrate the validity of the developed 3D program that has been verified, an analysis is performed under the same analysis conditions as the existing research using a two-dimensional program. The effectiveness of the developed 3D numerical analysis program was demonstrated by comparing the analysis results with the 2D results and actual measurement data.
As Geographic Information Systems represent three dimensional topological information, The Systems provide accurate and delicate services for users. In order to execute three dimensional topological operations, a dimensional transformation and heterogeneous spatial models should be used. However, the existing systems that use the dimensional transformation and the heterogeneous models, is not only difficult to operate the spatial operators, but also happened to support non-interoperability. Therefore, in order to solve the problems, we proposed three dimensional spatial object models that supported two dimensional object models and implemented them to show validity of the proposed models. When designing the three dimensional topological operators, we used 3DE-9IM which extended DE-9IM to support three dimensional concepts, and implemented operators on the component environment with object oriented concepts. The proposed three dimensional spatial object models and topological operators can support interoperability between systems, and execute spatial queries efficiently on three dimensional spatial objects.

In this paper, we investigated the selective etching rate of amorphous As-Ge-Se-S thin film due to the photoexpansion effect and fabricated the 2-dimensional embossing type diffraction grating hologram. We measured the thickness change with the etching time among NaOH solution after forming 1-dimension diffraction grating. As a results, we found that the selective etching rate were $2.5\AA/s,\;3.3\AA/s,\;3.9\AA/s$ where NaOH solution concentration were 0.26N, 0.33N, 0.36N, respectively. Also after the formation of 2-dimensional diffraction grating by the $90^{\circ}$ degree of circulation on the formed 1-dimensional diffraction grating, we etched selectively during 60sec, among 0.26N NaOH solution and obtained 2-dimensional embossing diffraction grating. As the results of AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy), we confirmed the formation of distinct embossing type 2-dimensional diffraction grating hologram, successfully.
Numerical modeling for electromagnetic exploration methods are essential to understand behaviours of electromagnetic fields in complex subsurfaces. In this study, a finite element method was adopted as a numerical scheme for the 2.5-dimensional forward problem. And a finite element equation considering linear conductivity variation was proposed when 2.5-dimensional differential equation to couple eletric and magnetic field was implemented. Model parameters were investigated for near-field with large source effects and far-field with responses dominantly by homogeneous half-space. Numerical responses by this study were compared with analytic solutions in homogeneous half-space and compared with other three dimensional numerical results.

Since J.B.Pendry proposed the concept of "perfect lens" there have been many researches which focus electric fields. However they used 1 dimensional lens. In contrast, this paper suggests 2 dimensional lens calculated from angular-spectrum method. 2-dimensional focusing is achieved in nearfield. This result implies that the proposed lens can be used for wireless power transfer, imaging system, and sensing systems.
Modelling for failures is important for reliability analysis since failures of products such as automobiles occur as both time and usage progress and the results from the proper analysis of the two-dimensional data can be used for establishing warranty assurance policy. Hence, in this paper general issues which concern modelling failures are discussed, and both one-dimensional approaches and two-dimensional approaches to two-dimensional data are investigated. Finally non-parametric approaches to two-dimensional data are presented as a means of exploratory data analyses.
