포옴충진타이어

  • 목하개최중인 오끼나와 국제해양전람회에서 처음으로 신도시교통 시스템이라고 하는 CVS(Computer Controlled Vehicle System)가 실용화되었다. 이 CVS는 동해양박람회장 2km의 전용궤도를 무인으로 콤퓨우터어에 의해서 운전하여 6명승의 전 16대가 연일 아무 트러블도없이 활약, 관계방면의 관심을 집중시키고 있다. 그런데 이 충승 해양박의 CVS에 채용된 차륜이 고무의 타이어란 점에 주목하기바란다. 고무의 타이어라고 하드라도 이 알맹이가 다르다. 어떻게 다른고하니 보통타이어의 알맹이는 공기이며 그 공기가 큰 역할을 하여주고 있는바이나 이 타이어의 경우는 공기의 대신에 포옴러버어(Form Rubber)가 차있다고 하는 점이다. 알맹이가 공기가 아니란 것은 타이어에 있어서 최대의 약점인 빵꾸라고 하는 고장이 없다는 것이다. 최근노우 빵꾸타이어라고 하는 안전타이어의 많은 시작품이 세계각타이어 메이커어로부터 발표되고 있으나 광의로 이「포옴충진타이어」도 그 1종이라고 할 수가 있을 것 같다. 물론 동종의 타이어는 일찍부터 각방면에서 시작연구는 되고 있었으나 용도가 너무나 한정되어 실용화가 충분하다곤 할 수가 없었다. 그러나 구빈고무가 만든 이 포옴 충진타이어는 훌륭하게 오끼나와 해양박에서 실용화된 것이다. 동사기술진의 설명에 의하면 알맹이는 물론이고 모든 면에 있어서 종래의 그것과는 일맥 상통한 것이라고 한다.

  • 핀-관 열교환기의 효율을 증대시키기 위하여는 열저항을 결정하는 데 있어서 중요한 역할을 하는 공기측 열전달 특성의 향상이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 핀-관 열교환기의 공리측 성능을 해석하기 위해서 3차원 비압축성 Navier-Stokes 코드를 개발하였으며 이 코드는 시간항에 스칼라 내재적 근사분해법(scalar implicit approximate factorization)절차, 공간항에 유한체적법과 2차의 풍상차분법(upwind differencing)을 사용한다. 서로 다른 3개의 핀형상(평판핀, 슬릿핀, 파형핀)을 고려하였고 이들의 유동 및 열전달 특성을 연구하였다.

식품가공에서 Impingement 기술의 응용

  • 공기와 같은 유체를 식품의 표면에 직접 고압으로 분사하는 것은 그 식품을 가열하거나, 건조, 냉각, 냉동시키는데 큰 도움을 주고 있다. Impingement-분사(공기, 스팀), 조사(방사선, 레이저), 침투(당액, 냉매) 등의 식품가공기술 기술은 우리가 생활하고 있는 주변에서 일상적으로 나타는 현상이다. 지표면에 태양빛이 전달되는 것이나 상점에서 물건구입시 포장지에 붙은 바코드(barcode)에 레이저빔을 쏘는 것도 모두 Impingement현상이다. 레이더도 전자파를 발사하는것(Impinging)이며, 배나 잠수함도 음파를 발사하여 장애물을 탐지하면서 운항한다. 세차장에서 차를 세차하는 것도 고압의 물을 분사(Impinging)하는 기술이 동원 되는 것이다. Impingement 방식에 의해 식품을 가열하거나 냉각하는 것은 기존의 방법들보다 속도는 느리지만 그만한 값어치가 있는 유용한 식품가공 기법이다.

A Study on the Flow Entrainment Characteristics of a Coaxial Nozzle Used in a MILD Combustor with the Change of Nozzle Position and Flow Condition (MILD 연소로에서 노즐의 위치와 유동 조건에 따른 유입량 특성에 관한 연구)

  • A MILD (Moderate and Intense Low oxygen Dilution) combustor decreases NOx formation effectively during the combustion process and NOx formation is affected significantly by the exhaust gas entrainment rate toward fuel and air. The present study focused on the new MILD combustor, which has coaxial cylindrical tube. The outside tube of the new MILD combustor corresponds to the exhaust gas passage and the inner side tube is the furnace passage. The connection pipe is set between the outer side and the inner side tubes and coaxial air nozzle is inserted at the center of the connection pipe. A numerical analysis is accomplished to elucidate the characteristics of exhaust gas entrainment toward the inner furnace with the changes of air nozzle exit velocity, nozzle diameter, nozzle exit position and exhaust gas side pressure. The entrainment rate is proportional to the square root of air nozzle exit velocity and negatively proportional to the pressure difference between the exhaust gas side and furnace side pressures. The effect of air nozzle exit position is not considerable on the exhaust gas entrainment.

Air Drying Technology for Dewatered Cake from Wastewater and Waterworks Sludge (상.하수 슬러지 탈수케이크의 공기건조에 관한 연구)

  • Air drying equipment was built as a device for reduction of dewatered cake from wastewater and waterworks sludge and to reproduce it by reusable matter. Dewatered cake was supplied into the air drying equipment which operated by air velocity of 80 m/sec, air rate 30 $m^3/min$ and air temperature of $40^{\circ}C$, and dried to produce the dried powder. The air drying equipment was composed of the air ejector which made high-speed fluid field, and cyclone which made circling fluid field. Dewatered cake was crushed at the high-speed zone as first step, and formed into dried powder of sphere shape by the collision between particles at the circling fluid zone.. Wastewater sludge with water content of 82.5 wt% was supplied 1.0 kg/min into air drying equipment and produced the dried powder which had the water content of 62.3 wt% and mass median diameter of 2.4 mm after process. At that time, it was analyzed that water removal rate was 0.1 $H_2O{\Delta}kg/min{\cdot}DS$ kg and air consumption was 170 $m^3/DS$ kg. Under same experimental conditions, when waterworks sludge was dried, water content of dried powder decrease to 47.5 wt% and mass median diameter decrease 2.1 mm and water removal rate increase 0.13 $H_2O{\Delta}kg/min{\cdot}DS$ kg. Air consumption increase 180 $m^3/DS$ kg with comparison to the results of wastewater sludge. Therefore, this technology was evaluated that drying the dewatered cake of waterworks sludge was more efficient than wastewater sludge, and also economical sludge handling technology due to drying the cake by only air.

The Secondary Chamber Pressure Characteristics of Sonic/Supersonic Ejector-Diffuser System (음속/초음속 이젝터 시스템의 2차정체실 압력특성)

  • The present study is an experimental work of the soni $c^ersonic air ejector-diffuser system. The pressure-time dependence in the secondary chamber of this ejector system is measured to investigate the steady operation of the ejector system. Six different primary nozzles of two sonic nozzles, two supersonic nozzles, petal nozzle, and lobed nozzle are employed to drive the ejector system at the conditions of different operating pressure ratios. Static pressures on the ejector-diffuser walls are to analyze the complicated flows occurring inside the system. The volume of the secondary chamber is changed to investigate the effect on the steady operation. the results obtained show that the volume of the secondary chamber does not affect the steady operation of the ejector-diffuser system but the time-dependent pressure in the secondary chamber is a strong function of the volume of the secondary chamber.er.

  • Recently, there have been a number of voices from industry that automotive education at the college is too theoretical and so college graduates are lack of practical ability to apply the automotive idea to actual systems. In order to educate engineering students design qualities in creative problem solving, this paper reports the results of employing engineering design projects in a Motor sports course of at A College. This paper presents design creterion and manufacture process of $CO_2$ model dragster, measures $CO_2$ model dragster speed and aerodynamic drag. In order to investigate the impact of engineering design on student's learning, a survey was conducted in 2008 spring semester. According to the results of survey analyses, student's key competencies and satisfaction reports high values on engineering design projects.

  • Two unit cells were made and operated with oxygen and air as oxidants After 350 hours operation with oxygen, the open circuit voltage drop of unit cell was 30 mV and internal resistance increased. After 250 hours operation with air, the open circuit voltage drop was 130mV. And the open circuit voltage difference of two cases was 90mV. In order to improve the performance of the unit cell with air, the supplying method of the electrolyte and the mass transfer characteristics of the electrode should be studied.

  • The effects of barley tea concentration and atomizing air pressure on the size, homogeneity and distribution of the sprayed droplets were investigated. An equation relating mean diameter (${\overline{D}}$) with the concentration where the coefficient a and b were determined empirically. As the operating air pressure was increased, the mean diameter of the droplets decreased and finally reached the limiting mean diameter, $36{\mu}m$ at 15.7% barley tea concentration. The homogeneity of the droplets increased with the operating air pressure, increase and it was decreased steadily as the soluble solid concentration increased up to 20% and markedly over 20% at every operating air pressure. The distribution ($P_D$) of sprayed droplets related with the droplet size as the following exponential equation; $P_D$ = e 1nD + f where e and f are empirical constants.
