공기 중 탄소나노튜브 시료채취 시 사용하는 카세트 종류가 벽면 손실에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Sampling Cassettes Type used in Sampling of Airborne Carbon Nanotube(CNT) to Electrostatic Loss)

  • Objectives: The purposes of this study were to compare the surface resistance of cassettes according to the material, and to evaluate the wall deposition of carbon nanotubes(CNTs) by electrostatic loss in the inner wall of the cassette. Methods: Surface resistance was measured for three types of cassettes(25 mm polypropylene conductive cowl, 25 mm and 37 mm clear styrene cassettes) with a surface resistance meter. Also, electrostatic wall loss was measured at different weights of CNTs depending on the cassette. CNTs were laid on a weight dish with the cassette for five minutes to provide sufficient time to attach on the wall. Wipe sampling was performed to collect CNTs deposited on the wall and elemental carbon, known as a surrogate for CNTs, was analyzed. Results: The cassette with conductive materials(18% of black carbon) showed the lowest surface resistance($<1.21{\times}10^3{\Omega}$). Cassettes made from clear polystyrene showed the relatively highest surface resistance(25 mm: $10.02{\times}10^9{\Omega}$, 37 mm: $10.59{\times}10^9{\Omega}$). This means that particles are more likely to stick to the internal wall of styrene cassettes due to electrostatic electricity. This may lead to an underestimation of the airborne concentration of CNTs. The experiment showed that EC was not detected when using a 25 mm conductive cowl cassette, while EC was detected at the internal wall of 25 mm and 37 mm polystyrene cassettes. Conclusions: This study confirms that cassettes with a conductive cowl have low surface resistance and are more appropriate for CNT sampling. In addition, this finding could be applied for other types of particulate, especially regarding electrostatic charge and sampling.

Structural characterization and thermal behaviour of the bis(2-aminothiazole)bis(isothiocyanato)zinc(II) complex, Zn(NCS)2(C3H4N2S)2

  • The zinc(II) complex, $Zn(NCS)_2(C_3H_4N_2S)_2$, I, has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, thermal analysis and infrared spectroscopy. The complex I crystallizes in the triclinic system, $P\bar{1}$ space group with a = 7.587(1), b = 8.815(1), $c=12.432(2){\AA}$, ${\alpha}=75.584(8)$, ${\beta}=83.533(9)$, ${\gamma}=68.686(8)^{\circ}$, $V=750.0(2){\AA}^3$, Z = 2, $R_1=0.036$ and ${\omega}R_2=0.101$. The central Zn(II) atom has a tetrahedral coordination geometry, with the heterocyclic nitrogen atoms of 2-aminothiazole ligands and the nitrogen atoms of isothiocyanate ligands. The crystal structure is stabilized by one-dimensional networks of the intermolecular $N-H{\cdots}S$ hydrogen bonds between the amino group of 2-aminothiazole ligands and the sulfur atom of isothiocyanate ligands. Based on the results of thermal analysis, the thermal decomposition reaction of complex I was analyzed to have three distinctive stages such as the loss of 2-aminothiazole, the decomposition of isothiocyanate and the formation of metal oxide.

Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting on a Delafossite CuGaO2 Semiconductor Electrode

  • A pellet of polycrystalline $CuGaO_2$ with a delafossite structure was prepared from $Ga_2O_3$ and CuO by high-temperature solid-state synthesis. The $CuGaO_2$ pellet was a p-type semiconductor for which the electrical conductivity, carrier density, carrier mobility and Seebeck coefficient were $5.34{\times}10^{-2}{\Omega}^{-1}cm^{-1}$, $3.5{\times}10^{20}cm^{-3}$, $9.5{\times}10^{-4}cm^2V^{-1}s^{-1}$ at room temperature, and $+360{\mu}V/K$, respectively. It also exhibited two optical transitions at about 2.7 and 3.6 eV. The photoelectrochemical properties of the $CuGaO_2$ pellet electrode were investigated in aqueous electrolyte solutions. The flat-band potential of this electrode, determined using a Mott-Schottky plot, was +0.18 V vs SCE at pH 4.8 and followed the Nernst equation with respect to pH. Under UV light illumination, a cathodic photocurrent developed, and molecular hydrogen simultaneously evolved on the surface of the electrode due to the direct reduction of water without deposition of any metal catalyst.

  • In this paper, a dual-channel feed-forward transimpedance(TIA) array is realized in a standard $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology which exploits automatic gain control function to provide 40-dB input dynamic range for either detecting targets nearby or sensing imminent danger situations. Compared to the previously reported conventional feed-forward TIA, the proposed automatic-gain-control feed-forward TIA(AFF-TIA) extends the input dynamic range 25 dB wider by employing a 4-level automatic gain control circuit. Measured results demonstrate the linearly varying transimpedance gain of 47 to $72dB{\Omega}$, input dynamic range of 1:100, the bandwidth of $${\geq_-}670MHz$$, the equivalent input referred noise current spectral density of 6.9 pA/${\surd}$HZ, the maximum sensitivity of -26.8 dBm for $10^{-12}BER$, and the power consumption of 27.6 mW from a single 1.8-V supply. The dual-channel chip occupies the area of $1.0{\times}0.73mm^2$ including I/O pads.

  • Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3) and ecosapentaenoic acid (20:5n-3) have attracted increasing attention since the first epidemiological report on the importance of n-3 essential fatty acids. It is thought that DHA has important functions in brain and retinal tissues. Thraustochytrids, a group of marine protists, are capable of heterotrophic growth, and are potential omega-3 producers for industrial use, especially the members of the Schizochytrium and Thraustochytrium genera. The aims of this work were to isolate, identify and screen thraustochytrids from 17 different locations. Twenty-three isolates were screened for biomass, total fatty acid (TFA) and DHA content. Analysis of the fatty acid methyl esters revealed four distinct clusters biomass ranged from $8.68-9.36gL^{-1}$, and lipid and DHA contents ranged from $3.11-4.10gL^{-1}$ and $1.05-1.93gL^{-1}$ biomass, respectively. B-12 isolates were screened for biomass ($9.36gL^{-1}$), TFA ($4.10gL^{-1}$) and DHA (47.01%, w/w) content. C-6 isolates were also screened for biomass ($8.92gL^{-1}$), TFA ($3.30gL^{-1}$) and DHA (49.41%, w/w) content. The 18S rRNA gene sequencing results identified Schizochytrium mangrovei as B-12 and Crypthecodium cohnii as C-6.

과분극 자극에 대한 mouse 미수정란의 세포막저항과 세포막전압의 변화 (Changes of membrane resistance and membrane potentials by hyperpolarizing current stimulation in mouse unfertilized eggs)

  • For the observations of both the membrane properties and the excitability on the unfertilized eggs of female mice, changes of the membrane resistance and the membrane potential by hyerpolarizing current stimulation were recorded. As current-voltage relation was linear over the entire range (-180mV~+60mV), membrane resistance($R_m$) was calculated from the amplitude of electrotonic potential to a given stimulus current. Also the presence of anode-break excitation was confirmed. The results were as follows; 1. There was a linear relation between the membrane resistance and resting membrane potential, the expected input resistance was 61. 4M$\Omega$(resting membrane potential was $-18.9{\pm}8.7mV$, mean${\pm}$SD, n=30). 2. Transient depolarization with overshoot was generated just after hyperpolarizing current stimulus and showed the dependency of stimulus duration. 3. Transient depolarization lasted over 30ms, amplitude of these depolarization was increased by high $Ca^{{+}{+}}$(20mM) and inhibited by $Ca^{{+}{+}}$-antagonist, $Mn^{{+}{+}}$. 4. From the above results, it was suggested that the unfertilized mouse egg showed the characteristics of the excitable cell.

산화흑연의 제조 및 전해질(TEABF4 & TEMABF4)에 따른 전기이중층 커패시터의 특성 (Preparation of Graphite Oxide and its Electrochemical Double Layer Capacitor's Performances using Non-Aqueous Electrolyte (TEABF4 & TEMABF4))

  • 전기화학적으로 용량이 큰 활물질을 얻기 위한 수단으로 니들 코크스를 $NaClO_3$과 70 wt%의 $HNO_3$으로 구성된 수용액을 이용하여 산화처리를 하였다. $NaClO_3$/니들 코크스의 질량비가 7.5배인 수용액에서 산화 처리한 결과, 니들 코크스는 산화흑연 구조로 상변이가 일어나고, 또한 산소의 함유량의 증가와 함께 층간거리는 $6.9{\AA}$으로 확대되었다. 한편, 산화 니들 코크스의 전기이중층 커패시터용 분극 전극으로서의 전기화학적 특성은 acetonitrile의 용매에 각각 1.2 M의 TEABF4 (tetraethylammonium tetrafluoroborate)와 $TEABF_4$ (triethylmethylammonium tetrafluoroborate)의 전해질이 함유된 유기용액을 각각 사용하여 조사하였다. 1.2 M $TEABF_4$/acetonitrile의 전해액을 사용한 커패시터 셀은 1.2 M $TEABF_4$/acetonitrile의 전해액을 사용한 커패시터 셀에 비해 전극저항은 $0.05{\Omega}$로 낮았고, 2 전극 기준으로 0~2.5 V에서 측정한 용량 및 부피 당 용량은 32.0 F/g와 25.5 F/mL으로 높은 수치를 나타내었다. 이러한 전기화학적 거동을 천연흑연 구조에서의 층간 거리와 전해질의 양이온 크기와의 상관관계로 논의하였다.

등줄숭어의 알, 근육 및 내장의 지질조성에 관한 연구 (Lipid Composition of Roe, Muscle and Viscus of Liza Carinata, a Species of the Mugilidae Family)

  • 등줄숭어의 알, 근육 및 내장 지질의 지질 조성과 각 지질 분획의 알콜 및 지방산 조성을 조사하였다. 지질 함량은 알에 18.5%로 제일 많았고, 내장에는 8.5%, 근육에는 4.4%로 제일 적었다. 알의 지질 조성은 매우 특이하여 왁스 에스텔이 63.1%로 제일 많았으나, 트리글리세리드는 9.9%에 지나지 않았다. 이에 반하여 근육 지질의 경우는 트리글리세리드가 66.1%로 제일 많이 검출되었으나, 왁스 에스텔은 거의 존재하지 않았다. 내장 지질에도 왁스 에스텔이 32.8%나 검출되었다. 알콜 조성을 보면 세칠알콜(C16 : 0)이 알과 내장 왁스 에스텔의 중요한 성분으로 각각 53.0%, 61.7%였으며, 그 다음으로 주요한 알콜은 알의 경우는 올레알콜(C18 : 1), 팔미토올레알콜(C16 : 1) 및 스테아르알콜(C18 : 0)이, 내장의 경우는 펜타데카놀(C15 : 0), 스테아르알콜 이였다. 또 두 왁스 에스텔에는 C15 : 0, C15 : 1, C17 : 0, C17 : 1, C19 : 0 및 C19 : 1과 같은 기수 알콜도 상당량 함유되어 있었다. 알과 내장의 왁스 에스텔의 지방산 조성은 팔미토올레산, 올레산 및 ???l타데카모노엔산과 같은 모노엔산이(49.7-56.6%)로 제일 많았으며 아이코 사펜타엔산도 상당히 함유(12.2%, 10.1%)되어 있었다. 또 알의 트리글리세리드의 지방산 조성을 보면 고도 불포화지방산 함량(28.4%)은 근육, 내장의 그것보다(19.4%, 19.2%)보다 훨씬 높았으나, 스테아르산, 팔미트산과 같은 포화지방산 함량은 근육, 내장의 그것보다 약간 낮았다. 알의 인지질의 지방산 조성은 근육의 그것과 비슷하여 고도 불포화지방산이 약 50%로 내장의 34.2% 보다 훨씬 높았다. 근육에 있어서 유리지방산 조성이 인지질의 지방산 조성과 흡사한 것으로 보아, 이 유리지방산은 인지질의 가수분해물로 생각된다.. 젓갈의 pH도 숙성기간중 서서히 증가되었다.13{\sim}126Kcal/mol$로 감소하였으며, 동결속도 $-0.5^{\circ}C/min$하에서 동결에 필요한 최소 활성화에너지는 126Kcal/mol, 최대 활성화에너지는 270Kca1/mo1 이었다.$C_{22:6}$ 등이었다. 제품저장중 품질안정성에 대해 검토한 결과 진공포장함으로서 저장중 지질산패, 갈변 등 품질저하를 억제시킬 수 있었다.>가 20mM, $Na_2SO_3{\cdot}7H_2O$가 15mM 그리고 $NaHSO_3$가 25mM로 나타났다., 수원(水原)19호(號)와 제천옥(堤川玉)에서는 linoleic acid가 가장 높게 나타났다. 8) 당지질(糖脂質)의 구성지질성분(構成脂質成分)은 MGS, MGC 그리고 MGDG를 함유(含有)하며, MGS와 MGC는 진주옥(晋州玉)에서 가장 높은 반면에, 횡성옥(橫城玉)과 제천옥(堤川玉)에서는 가장 낮게 나타났다. 9) 총지질(脂質)의 지방산조성(脂肪酸組成)은 oleic, palmitic, linoleic그리고 heptadecanoic acid가 주성분(主成分)을이루고, 진주옥(晋州玉)에서 oleic acid가 가장 높은 반면에 heptadecanoic acid는 가장 낮게 나타났고, 제천옥(堤川玉)에서는 이와 반대(反對) 경향(傾向)을 보였다. 10) 순지질(燐脂質)의 구성지질성분(構成脂質成分)은 PI 및 PC를 함유(舍有)하며, 횡성옥(橫城玉)과 황옥(黃玉) 3호(號)에서 PI가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 11) 순지질(燐脂質)의 지방산조성(脂肪酸組成)은 palmitic, heptadecanoic 그리고 oleic acid가 주성분(主成分)을 이루고, 횡성옥(橫城玉)에서 oleic acid가 가장 높은 반면에, heptadecanoic acid는 가장 낮게 나타났다..I.

지하수 관개에 의한 수도의 멸준양상과 그 방지책에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Rice Yield Decreased by Ground Water Irrigation and Its Preventive Methods)

  • The purposes of this thesis are to clarify experimentally the variation of ground water temperature in tube wells during the irrigation period of paddy rice, and the effect of ground water irrigation on the growth, grain yield and yield components of the rice plant, and, furthermore, when and why the plant is most liable to be damaged by ground water, and also to find out the effective ground water irrigation methods. The results obtained in this experiment are as follows; 1. The temperature of ground water in tube wells varies according to the location, year, and the depth of the well. The average temperatures of ground water in a tubewells, 6.3m, 8.0m deep are $14.5^{\circ}C$ and $13.1^{\circ}C$, respercively, during the irrigation period of paddy rice (From the middle of June to the end of September). In the former the temperature rises continuously from $12.3^{\circ}C$ to 16.4$^{\circ}C$ and in the latter from $12.4^{\circ}C$ to $13.8^{\circ}C$ during the same period. These temperatures are approximately the same value as the estimated temperatures. The temperature difference between the ground water and the surface water is approximately $11^{\circ}C$. 2. The results obtained from the analysis of the water quality of the "Seoho" reservoir and that of water from the tube well show that the pH values of the ground water and the surface water are 6.35 and 6.00, respectively, and inorganic components such as N, PO4, Na, Cl, SiO2 and Ca are contained more in the ground water than in the surface water while K, SO4, Fe and Mg are contained less in the ground water. 3. The response of growth, yield and yield components of paddy rice to ground water irrigation are as follows; (l) Using ground water irrigation during the watered rice nursery period(seeding date: 30 April, 1970), the chracteristics of a young rice plant, such as plant height, number of leaves, and number of tillers are inferior to those of young rice plants irrigated with surface water during the same period. (2) In cases where ground water and surface water are supplied separately by the gravity flow method, it is found that ground water irrigation to the rice plant delays the stage at which there is a maximum increase in the number of tillers by 6 days. (3) At the tillering stage of rice plant just after transplanting, the effect of ground water irrigation on the increase in the number of tillers is better, compared with the method of supplying surface water throughout the whole irrigation period. Conversely, the number of tillers is decreased by ground water irrigation at the reproductive stage. Plant height is extremely restrained by ground water irrigation. (4) Heading date is clearly delayed by the ground water irrigation when it is practised during the growth stages or at the reproductive stage only. (5) The heading date of rice plants is slightly delayed by irrigation with the gravity flow method as compared with the standing water method. (6) The response of yield and of yield components of rice to ground water irrigation are as follows: \circled1 When ground water irrigation is practised during the growth stages and the reproductive stage, the culm length of the rice plant is reduced by 11 percent and 8 percent, respectively, when compared with the surface water irrigation used throughout all the growth stages. \circled2 Panicle length is found to be the longest on the test plot in which ground water irrigation is practised at the tillering stage. A similar tendency as that seen in the culm length is observed on other test plots. \circled3 The number of panicles is found to be the least on the plot in which ground water irrigation is practised by the gravity flow method throughout all the growth stages of the rice plant. No significant difference is found between the other plots. \circled4 The number of spikelets per panicle at the various stages of rice growth at which_ surface or ground water is supplied by gravity flow method are as follows; surface water at all growth stages‥‥‥‥‥ 98.5. Ground water at all growth stages‥‥‥‥‥‥62.2 Ground water at the tillering stage‥‥‥‥‥ 82.6. Ground water at the reproductive stage ‥‥‥‥‥ 74.1. \circled5 Ripening percentage is about 70 percent on the test plot in which ground water irrigation is practised during all the growth stages and at the tillering stage only. However, when ground water irrigation is practised, at the reproductive stage, the ripening percentage is reduced to 50 percent. This means that 20 percent reduction in the ripening percentage by using ground water irrigation at the reproductive stage. \circled6 The weight of 1,000 kernels is found to show a similar tendency as in the case of ripening percentage i. e. the ground water irrigation during all the growth stages and at the reproductive stage results in a decreased weight of the 1,000 kernels. \circled7 The yield of brown rice from the various treatments are as follows; Gravity flow; Surface water at all growth stages‥‥‥‥‥‥514kg/10a. Ground water at all growth stages‥‥‥‥‥‥428kg/10a. Ground water at the reproductive stage‥‥‥‥‥‥430kg/10a. Standing water; Surface water at all growh stages‥‥‥‥‥‥556kg/10a. Ground water at all growth stages‥‥‥‥‥‥441kg/10a. Ground water at the reproductive stage‥‥‥‥‥‥450kg/10a. The above figures show that ground water irrigation by the gravity flow and by the standing water method during all the growth stages resulted in an 18 percent and a 21 percent decrease in the yield of brown rice, respectively, when compared with surface water irrigation. Also ground water irrigation by gravity flow and by standing water resulted in respective decreases in yield of 16 percent and 19 percent, compared with the surface irrigation method. 4. Results obtained from the experiments on the improvement of ground water irrigation efficiency to paddy rice are as follows; (1) When the standing water irrigation with surface water is practised, the daily average water temperature in a paddy field is 25.2$^{\circ}C$, but, when the gravity flow method is practised with the same irrigation water, the daily average water temperature is 24.5$^{\circ}C$. This means that the former is 0.7$^{\circ}C$ higher than the latter. On the other hand, when ground water is used, the daily water temperatures in a paddy field are respectively 21.$0^{\circ}C$ and 19.3$^{\circ}C$ by practising standing water and the gravity flow method. It can be seen that the former is approximately 1.$0^{\circ}C$ higher than the latter. (2) When the non-water-logged cultivation is practised, the yield of brown rice is 516.3kg/10a, while the yield of brown rice from ground water irrigation plot throughout the whole irrigation period and surface water irrigation plot are 446.3kg/10a and 556.4kg/10a, respectivelely. This means that there is no significant difference in yields between surface water irrigation practice and non-water-logged cultivation, and also means that non-water-logged cultivation results in a 12.6 percent increase in yield compared with the yield from the ground water irrigation plot. (3) The black and white coloring on the inside surface of the water warming ponds has no substantial effect on the temperature of the water. The average daily water temperatures of the various water warming ponds, having different depths, are expressed as Y=aX+b, while the daily average water temperatures at various depths in a water warming pond are expressed as Y=a(b)x (where Y: the daily average water temperature, a,b: constants depending on the type of water warming pond, X; water depth). As the depth of water warning pond is increased, the diurnal difference of the highest and the lowest water temperature is decreased, and also, the time at which the highest water temperature occurs, is delayed. (4) The degree of warming by using a polyethylene tube, 100m in length and 10cm in diameter, is 4~9$^{\circ}C$. Heat exchange rate of a polyethylene tube is 1.5 times higher than that or a water warming channel.   • The study was designed to observe the effects of different dietary fat consumed in Korea with those of three other fats on colonic epithelial cell phospholipid and phosphatidyl inositol composition, which were known as biomarker for colon cancer. Male Sprague Dawley rats, at 7 weeks of age, were divided into control and 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH) -treated group that was again subdivided into four groups. The experimental diets contained one of four dietary fats at 15%(w/w) level, those were, blend fat(BF), beef tallow(BT), corn oil (CO) or perilla oil (PO) At the same time, each rat was injected nth saline for control group or DMH twice a week for 6 weeks to five total dose of 180 mg/kg body weight. Dietary fatty acid composition influenced the fatty acid compositions of tissues. Proportions of C18:2 colonic mucosal phospholipid well reflected dietary level of C18:2 showing in decending CO>BF>PO> BT. The percentage of C20:4 in phospholipid was the higher in CO and BT groups and the lowest in PO groups. Incorporation of -linolenic acid in colonic mucosal lipid In perilla oil group was negatively correlated to the content of C20:4. Therefore, $\omega$3-linolenic acid rich in perilla oil could be a very important dietary source in controlling arachidonic acid level in colon epithelial cell. Therefore it could be recommend to use more perilla oil in meal preparation to reduce the risk factor against colon cancer.
