  • 근대잡지의 효시인 육당 최남선의 '소년'지 창간일인 11월 1일을 기념해 정한 잡지의 날을 맞아 한국잡지협회(회장 남궁영훈)는 지난 11월 1일부터 4일까지 문화체육관광부와 서울특별시, 한국언론진흥재단이 후원으로 '코리아 매거진 페스티벌 2013'을 서울 광화문광장에서 개최했다. 또한 11월 4일에는 세종문화회관 세종홀에서 제48회 잡지의날 기념식을 가졌다.

  • 대한인쇄문화협회(회장 김남수)는 지난 11월 5일부터 10일까지 미국시장개척단을 파견했다. 7개 업체가 참가한 이번 시장개척단은 11월 6일 미국 샌프란시스코 호텔 1층 페어몬트 호텔 프렌치룸에서 진행됐으며 바이어 업체와 1:1 상담을 통해 120만달러 규모의 상담 실적을 올렸다. 또한 11월 7일에는 애플사와 인텔 등이 위치한 실리콘밸리와 스탠포드대학을 견학했다.

  • The derivative of glycyrrhetinic acid which have similar effects of desoxycorticosterone acetate was prepared glycyrrhetinyl chloride by the chlorination with thionyl chloride at low temperature. 2-Acetyl-11-keto-.DELTA. : 13 oleanolic ketol acetate (30) was synthesized by diazotating glycyrrhetinyl chloride with diazomethan and the acetylation with anhydro acetic acid. 2-Acetyl-.DELTA.12 : 13 oleanolic ketol acetate (28) was synthesized by chlorinating oleanolic acid with thionyl chloride, and by diazotatating oleanolyl chloride with diazomethan and the acetylation with anhydroacetic acid.

  • Chemical investigation of the hot hexane extract of the stem bark of Gordonia dassanayakei afforded a new oleanane triterpenoid, $11{\alpha},13{\beta}-dihydroxyolean-3,12-dione$ (1) and two other oleanane triterpenoids, $3{\beta}-acetoxy-11{\alpha},13{\beta}-dihydroxyolean-12-one\;(2)\;and\;3{\beta},11{\alpha}-diacetoxy-13{\beta}-hydroxyolean-12-one\;(3)\;and\;a\;hopane\;6{\alpha},22-diol$ (4), which are new to the plant.

Geographical Variation in Sex Pheromone Composition of Adoxophyes spp. (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) in Pear Orchards (배 과원에 발생하는 애모무늬잎말이나방 성페로몬 조성의 지리적 변이)

  • Adoxophyes spp. are the major rests of a pear. The larvae attack both leaves and fruits. (Z)-9-tetradecenyl acetate (Z9-14:Ac), (Z)-11-tetradecenyl acetate (Z11-14:Ac), (E)-11-tetradecenyl acetate (E11-14:Ac) and 10-methyldodecyl acetate (10me-12:Ac) have been reported as the sex pheromone components of the genus Adoxophyes. Our objective was to determine the difference in sex pheromone composition of three different A. spp. populations each from Cheonan, Sangju, and Naju area orchards in Korea. Gas chromatography (GC) analyses of pheromone gland extracts of virgin females confirmed the presence of two compounds (Z9-14:Ac and Z11-14:Ac) in Cheonan and Sangju populations, and four compounds (Z9-14:Ac, Z11-14:Ac, E11-14:Ac and tome-12:Ac) in Naju population. The Z9-14:Ac and Z11-14:Ac were detected in the ratio of 80:20 in the Cheonan population and 3:97 in the Sangju population. Females of Naju population produced sex pheromone blend consisting of Z9-14:Ac, Z11-14:Ac, E11-14:Ac and 10me-12:Ac at a ratio of 31:62:6:1. Field trapping tests in pear orchards with Z9-14:Ac and Z11-14:Ac indicated that maximum captures of the male were obtained with traps baited by 80:20 in Cheonan, 10:90 in Sangju, and 30:70 in Naju. These results suggest that there are remarkable geographical variations in the sex pheromone composition of A. spp. in pear orchards in Korea, and taxonomic classification of these species must be carefully assessed.

A Comparison Study of Seasonal Adjusted Series using the X-13ARIMA-SEATS (X-13ARIMA-SEATS로의 전환을 위한 계절조정결과 비교)

  • The United States Census Bureau released a new version of X-13ARIMA-SEATS that integrates X-12-ARIMA with TRAMO-SEATS. This paper compares a seasonal adjusted series from X-13ARIMA-SEATS and those from X-12-ARIMA. An X11 filter and SEATS filter were used for the X-13ARIMA-SEATS. The result of the comparison suggests that seasonal adjusted series using X-13ARIMA-SEATS with the X11 filter are similar to those of X-12-ARIMA.

Fatty Acid Composition of Total Lipids from Seeds of Pinus koraiensis (한국산 잣 지방질의 지방산 조성)

  • The seeds cf Pinus Koraiensis mere studied for their moisture, total lipids and ash contents and fatty acid composition. The seeds contained ca. 3.6% moisture, 70.4% purified total lipids and 2.5% ash. The proximate composition of the seeds was not influenced by the sampling rears (1984 and 1985). Twenty-one fatty acids ranged from myristic to arachidic acids were identified in the seed lipids. The seed lipids contained linoleic acid (47.9%), oleic acid (28.4%) and 5, 9, 12-18:3(11.1%) as major fatty acids and 5,9,12-18:3, 5,11-20:2 and 5,11,14-20:3 as 5-olefinic nonmethylene-interrupted polyenoic acids. The sampling Tears also had no effect on the fatty acid composition of the seed lipids.

The Comparison of the Physical Characteristics between Boys and Girls at Puberty (사춘기 남녀 청소년의 인체 특징에 관한 비교 - 만 $10{\sim}14$세를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the body measurements of boys and girls at puberty and to provide the fundamental data for pubescent apparel manufacturers to produce clothing that reflect their physical characteristics. A total of 549 boys and 529 girls aged between 10 and 14 were measured in the capital area from March 4 to April 3, 2004. Data were collected from 35 anthropometric items and 12 photographic items per a person. SPSS Ver. 12 program was used in data analysis including means, standard deviation, t-test and Duncan test. The main results of this study were as follows. They showed the significant difference of their growth in accordance with the increase of their ages. There were also the difference between boys and girls. As for height and length items, boys showed a slow growth at the age of $10{\sim}11\;and\;12{\sim}13$. Those at the age of $11{\sim}12\;and\;13{\sim}14$ showed rapid growth. That is, an active growth was followed by a slow growth and that phenomenon repeatedly occurred. On the other hand, girls showed remarkable growth at the age $10{\sim}11$ and the growth rate gradually slowed down afterward. Regarding circumference items, boys at the age of $11{\sim}12\;and\;13{\sim}14$ showed remarkable growth. This results showed that boys at the age of $11{\sim}12$ had vertical growth and horizontal growth at the same time and for those at the age of $13{\sim}14$, growth was more conspicuous in horizontal direction. Meanwhile, for girls, the growth rate was high at the age of $11{\sim}12$, somewhat later than the age of the growth of height and length. As for breadth-related items and depth-related items, for both sexes two items grew steadily throughout the ages, breadth-related items showed a higher growth rate than that of depth-related items. This study analyzed the body measurements of pubescent boys and girls and the results showed that, for boys, an active physical growth took place at the age of 13 according to previous studies, but the findings of this study suggested that the phenomenon now occurred at the age of $11{\sim}12$, which proved that physical growth took place earlier than before. Also, an active growth was followed by a slow growth. Girls at puberty showed remarkable growth of height at the age of $10{\sim}11$ that is consistent with previous studies and then showed horizontal growth at the age of around 12, having a voluminous body shape.

  • This study is about the new examining of the books' period for publication, system, and the relationship with the original script by considering the books of 'Sambon Hwayemgyeong of Suchangpan series' as a whole. As a result, the books of 'Sambon Hwayemgyeong of Suchangpan series' are arranged with four types, '11th century edition'(estimated the first published book), 'Suchangsanyun edition(1098) and Sookjongyeongan edition(1096-1105)', '12th to 13th century edition', and 'Haeinsa Sagan edition(12th-13th century)'. Among them, especially '11th century edition'(estimated the first published book) is the book that has been known as a 'Y$\ddot{u}$an book', '12th century edition' or 'bokgakbon of the Kitan(or Seoha) line's book', and 'Sookjongyeongan edition (1096-1105)' and so on.
