Efficient One-Step Synthesis of 2-Arylfurans by Ceric Ammonium Nitrate (CAN)-Mediated Cycloaddition of 1,3-Dicarbonyl Compounds to Alkynes

  • An efficient method for construction of 2-arylfiirans has been developed by ceric(IV) ammonium nitratemediated oxidative cycloaddition of cyclic and acyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds to several alkynes. Reactions of 1,3-cyclohexanedione, 1,3-cyclopentanedione, and 2,4-pentanedione with several alkynes furnish 2-arylfurans in 26-75% yields. Extension of this technology to more complex 4-hydroxy-2-quinolone and 3-hydroxy-lH-phenalen-l-one with phenylacetylene also affords furoquinolinone and ftirophenalenone derivative in moderate yields. Reaction of 4-hydroxycoumarins with phenylacetylene give linear and angular furocoumarin derivatives as a mixture of regioisomer in good yields. The mechanistic pathway for the formation of 2-arylfurans has been also described.

Fe(II) clathrochelate을 이용한 유.무기 PES 복합막의 제조 (Preparation of Organic-inorganic Hybrid PES Membranes using Fe(II) Clathrochelate)

  • $Fe(SO_4)_2$, cyclohexanedione dioxime, phenylboronic acid을 이용하여 금속 템플레이트 중합을 실시한 후 메탄올로 세척하여 Fe(II) clathrochelate 화합물을 합성하였다. Fe(II) clathrochelate와 polyethersulfone을 이용한 유무기 복합 멤브레인을 제조하였다. 멤브레인 제조를 위하여 Fe(II) clathrochelate는 DMF, NMP, DMAC와 같은 멤브레인 제조에 이용되는 극성 아프로틱 용매에 잘 녹는 물질로 고안되었다. Fe(II) clathrochelate는 trifluorosactic acid와 같은 강산 존재하에서도 금속이 분리되지 않고 안정성이 유지되었다. UV-vis 분광법으로 용액 가용성을 확인하였으며 (i) 강산 및 (ii) 경쟁 킬레이트제를 이용하여 용액상의 안정성을 확인하였다. 유무기 복합막은 PES, PVP, TSA, Fe(II) clathrochelate를 DMF에 녹여 NIPS (비용매 유도 상전이) 방법으로 제조하였다. Fe(II) clathrochelate의 첨가는 표면의 기공 밀도의 향상, 평균기공 크기의 증가 및 유량 증가에 영향을 주었으며 상대적으로 비대칭 구조를 가지는 성능이 향상된 멤브레인을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Photoreactions of some carbonyl compounds with TiO$_2$ were investigated in methanol. Although 1,3-cyclohexanedione and phthalimide afforded 3-methoxy-2-cyclohexen-l-one and 3-methoxy-1-isoindolinone, respectively, acid anhydrides such as succinic, phthalic, and maleic anhydrides gave the monoesters of dicarboxylic acids in good to excellent yields, when they were irradiated on TiO$_2$ in methanol with 300 nm UV light.

Propagating Spiral Waves Obtained in a Catalyst-Immobilized Gel Membrane by the Belousov-Zhabotinsky Reaction System

  • The formation of diverse spiral waves was studied in a polyacrylamide gel membrane with ruthenium(4-vinyl-4'-methyl-2,2'-bipyridine)bis(2,2'-bipyridine)bis(hexafluorophosphate) by a gas-free Belousov-Zhabotinisky (BZ) reaction system containing 1,4-cyclohexanedione (1,4-CHD). The gel membrane was found to be receptive for observing propagating waves since a clearer wave-train is obtained during a long reaction time without any disturbance from the immobilized metal catalyst which can be dissolved into the highly acidic solution of the BZ system. The distinctive waves in the system basically depend on both $BrO_3$ and 1,4-CHD in the initial phase, and are influenced by the intensity of illumination of visible light.

  • 저자들은 생후 28일된 발열, 간종대, 출혈성 경향, 구토, 잦은 보챔, 전신의 황달 증상을 보이던 환아를 MS-MS 이용한 신생아 대사 이상 검사와 혈중 아미노산 분석, 뇨중 유기산 분석을 통하여 hereditary tyrosinemia type I으로 진단하였다. 저 페닐알라닌/타이로신 식이와 NTBC 사용으로 국내 첫 타이로신혈증 I 치료 성공례를 경험하였다.
