Pyrrolylaryl 유도체의 합성과 광전특성 (Synthesis and Photoconductive Characteristics of Pyrrolylaryl derivatives)

  • We synthesized hexapyrrolylbenzene(HPB) an octapyrrolylenaphthalene(OPN) and measured photocurrent and darkcurrent of them. At the result, photocurrent of HBP/TiOPc and OPN/TiOPc systems were 1.81E-11 and 1.04E-10 at electric field 4.4$\times$10$^3$V/cm, and efficiency of them were 16 and 167 respectively.

WPAN용 가시광 통신 시스템의 새로운 라인코딩 (New Line Coding of Visible Light Communication System for WPAN)

  • 가시광 통신(Visible Light Communication)시스템에서 고속 데이터 통신을 위한 최적의 line coding 기법을 제안한다. 새롭게 제안한 B4-HBT line coding은 1은 +Voltage와 -Voltage를 서로 교번하여 부호화하는데 1은 처음에는 +V, 그다음에는 -V로 서로 상반되게 극성을 대응하는 형태를 취한다. 여기에 연속적인 0비트가 4개가 존재하면 그전에 존재한 1비트에 상반되는 V를 같고 5개의 연속적인 마지막 0비트에서 반대부호 V를 갖고 1비트마다 반 비트 변이를 주어 오류를 줄이고 잡음의 영향을 적게 하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과에서 존재하고 있는 line coding과 비교하여 2${\sim}$3dB 이득을 보인다.

  • Clothing not only offers protection for the body and an aesthetic function but also accomplishes a communication role by delivering a message. And symbolic meanings of clothes deliver important information about the wearer. The T-shirt is one of the most popular items of clothing because of its simplicity and utility, In particular, T-shirt patterns, being simple forms, accomplish non-verbal communication directly by making possible the expression of an idea and showing the personality of the wearer. For these reasons, the T-shirt is becoming established as an Important item of clothing that shows one's personality and individuality in modern society. One purpose of this study is to confirm the communication function of fashion and understand that fashion plays an important symbolic role as a means of communication. Another purpose is to see how T-shirt patterns relate to human communication, through studying of widely accepted T-shirt in modern society. The final purpose is to develop a T-shirt design application based on this study and show how T-skirts contribute to expressing one's individuality and deliver ideas about society through clothing. The results of this study are as follows: 1. T-shirt patterns play a part in non-verbal communication. 2. T-shirt patterns have been variously expressed through conditions of society, culture and types of patterns, and formation techniques. 3. The communication function of T-shirt patterns have been classified to 5 categories; publicity, persuasion, solidarity, art, and fashion. 4 T-shirt design patterns were developed and produced. 5. T-shirt patterns could be useful ways to express individuality of oneself today.

Vehicle Waiting Time Information Service using Vehicle Object Detection at Fuel Charging Station

  • In this study, we created a system that can determine the number of vehicles entering and departing a charging station in real time for solving waiting time problems during refueling. Accordingly, we use the You Only Look Once object detection algorithm to detect and count the number of vehicles in the charging station and send the data to the Firebase Realtime Database. The result is shown using an Android application that provides a map function with the Kakao Maps API at the user interface side. Our system has an accuracy of 91% and an average response time of 3.1 s. Therefore, this system can be used by drivers to determine the availability of a charging station and to identify the charging station with the least waiting time for charging their vehicle.

Design of a Wide-Frequency-Range, Low-Power Transceiver with Automatic Impedance-Matching Calibration for TV-White-Space Application

  • This paper presents a wide-frequency-range, low-power transceiver with an automatic impedance-matching calibration for TV-white-space (TVWS) application. The wide-range automatic impedance matching calibration (AIMC) is proposed for the Drive Amplifier (DA) and LNA. The optimal $S_{22}$ and $S_{11}$ matching capacitances are selected in the DA and LNA, respectively. Also, the Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) switch is integrated to share the antenna and matching network between the transmitter and receiver, thereby minimizing the systemic cost. An N-path filter is proposed to reject the large interferers in the TVWS frequency band. The current-driven mixer with a 25% duty LO generator is designed to achieve the high-gain and low-noise figures; also, the frequency synthesizer is designed to generate the wide-range LO signals, and it is used to implement the FSK modulation with a programmable loop bandwidth for multi-rate communication. The TVWS transceiver is implemented in $0.13{\mu}m$, 1-poly, 6-metal CMOS technology. The die area of the transceiver is $4mm{\times}3mm$. The power consumption levels of the transmitter and receiver are 64.35 mW and 39.8 mW, respectively, when the output-power level of the transmitter is +10 dBm at a supply voltage of 3.3 V. The phase noise of the PLL output at Band 2 is -128.3 dBc/Hz with a 1 MHz offset.

An improved sparsity-aware normalized least-mean-square scheme for underwater communication

  • Underwater communication (UWC) is widely used in coastal surveillance and early warning systems. Precise channel estimation is vital for efficient and reliable UWC. The sparse direct-adaptive filtering algorithms have become popular in UWC. Herein, we present an improved adaptive convex-combination method for the identification of sparse structures using a reweighted normalized leastmean-square (RNLMS) algorithm. Moreover, to make RNLMS algorithm independent of the reweighted l1-norm parameter, a modified sparsity-aware adaptive zero-attracting RNLMS (AZA-RNLMS) algorithm is introduced to ensure accurate modeling. In addition, we present a quantitative analysis of this algorithm to evaluate the convergence speed and accuracy. Furthermore, we derive an excess mean-square-error expression that proves that the AZA-RNLMS algorithm performs better for the harsh underwater channel. The measured data from the experimental channel of SPACE08 is used for simulation, and results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed algorithm. The simulation results confirm that the proposed algorithm for underwater channel estimation performs better than the earlier schemes.

수중통신의 수직채널에서 Alamouti 기반 MIMO-OFDM 분석 (Alamouti MIMO-OFDM-based analysis in the vertical channel of the underwater communication)

  • 본 논문에서는 수중 수직통신채널 환경에서 Alamouti를 이용한 MIMO-OFDM 방식을 분석하였다. 수중 수직통신채널은 수중환경에 적합한 전달손실과 다중경로손실 등을 고려해야 해서 수중통신에서 통신 성능과 효율을 향상할 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문은 각 손실을 고려한 실질적인 모의 수중통신 환경을 구현하기 위해, 오차를 유발하는 환경에서 다중경로 손실, 전달손실, 도플러확산을 고려하여 모델링하였고, 모델링된 임펄스응답에 대한 채널 다중경로 프로파일을 Alamouti STBC 방식의 MIMO-OFDM 시스템을 통하여 시뮬레이션 했다. 본 논문에서 제안한 수중 수직통신채널에서 모델링한 Alamouti STBC 방식의 MIMO-OFDM 시스템 2Tx-2Rx 방식이 2Tx-1Rx 방식에 비하여 $10^{-3}$ BER 기점을 기준으로 약 3~5 dB 가량의 이득을 얻었다.

능동 MMIC mixer에 관한 연구 (A Study for active MMIC)

  • 본 논문에서는 1.9 GHz대의 down converting 믹서를 능동 cascode 구조의 MMIC로 상용 설계 툴을 이용하고 일반적인 증폭기의 설계 방법을 응용한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 설계, 제작, 측정 및 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 특히 능동 믹서의 설계과정 및 측정 결과를 자세히 기술하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 능동소자는 Gate Length 0.5 ${\mu}$m, Gate Width 300 ${\mu}$m 인 GaAs MESFET이다. 개발된 회로는 3V 의 전원의 7.5 mA 의 전류를 소모하는 저전력소모의 MMIC 능동믹서로 변환 이득이 6.63 dB 이고 최저 잡음지수는 5.06 dB이며 Output $3^{rd}$ Order Intercept Point는 6.4 dBm 이다. 제작된 칩의 크기는 가로 1.86 mm 세로 1.28 mm 이다.

  • 통신 서비스 시장의 패러다임이 유선 음성통신에서 무선의 데이터 통신으로 급속히 확산되고 있다. 이러한 통신시장의 변화를 수용하기 위해서는 고속의 전송속도에 근거한 다양한 서비스 제공과 아울러 인터넷 응용에 기반한 다양한 서비스들이 제공되어 기존의 이동통신망의 제한성을 탈피한 고품질의 이동통신망들의 구성이 요구된다. 이러한 고속통신을 수용하기 위해서는 무선 신호처리 기술, 광대역 전송기술, 첨단 이동통신망 구축 기술이 필수적이며, 효율적인 운용 기술에 의한 가입자 서비스의 수용 또한 요구되어 진다. 디지털 이동통신 시스템의 기반 기술로 활용되어 온 CDMA 다중접속 방식은 음성, SMS, 회선 데이터 서비스를 제공하기 위한 IS-95A/B 시스템 과 3세대 이동통신 시스템의 규격으로 평가받고 있는 동기방식 CDMA2000, 비동기방식 WCDMA 기술 등이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CDMA2000-1X 이동통신 시스템의 망 구조 및 특징을 분석하고, 각 서비스 제공 방안 분석을 통하여 차세대 이동통신망에서의 효율적인 망 구성방안의 기초자료로 도출하며, 3세대 이동통신망의 차세대 이동통신망으로의 진화 전략과 아울러 망 진화를 위하여 요구되는 핵심기술 등을 분석하였다.

NH3 Plasma Treatment를 사용한 고성능 TFT 제작 및 분석 (A Production and Analysis on High Quality of Thin Film Transistors Using NH3 Plasma Treatment)

  • The effect of $NH_3$ plasma treatment on device characteristics was confirmed for an optimized thin film transistor of poly-Si formed by ELA. When C-V curve was checked for MIS (metal-insulator-silicon), Dit of $NH_3$ plasma treated and MIS was $2.7{\times}10^{10}cm^{-2}eV^{-1}$. Also in the TFT device case, it was decreased to the sub-threshold slope of 0.5 V/decade, 1.9 V of threshold voltage and improved in $26cm^2V^{-1}S^{-1}$ of mobility. Si-N and Si-H bonding reduced dangling bonding to each interface. When gate bias stress was applied, the threshold voltage's shift value of $NH_3$ plasma treated device was 0.58 V for 1,000s, 1.14 V for 3,600s, 1.12 V for 7,200s. As we observe from this quality, electrical stability was also improved and $NH_3$ plasma treatment was considered effective for passivation.
