This paper proposes a new current control strategy for current regulated VSI-PWM lnverter. The conventional hysteresis control method has good dynamic response, but the switching frequency in lower region are high because it does not optimise switching patterns. Proposed current control strategy can optimize switching patterns. As regulater, three level comparator are used, the output of comparator select appropriate inverter output voltage vectors via switching table stored in EPROM. The simulation and experimental results in comparison to conventional hysteresis strategy are presented and discussed.
In order to overcome jamming, a hysteresis tunable monolithic comparator circuit based on a 0.35 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process is suggested, designed, fabricated, measured and analyzed in this paper. To tune the threshold voltage of the hysteresis in the comparator circuit, two external digital bits are used with supply voltage of 3.3V. An improved variable hysteresis comparator circuit controlled by serial digital bits is suggested, designed and simulated to overcome jamming in modern warfare.

This paper proposes a new sensorless speed control scheme of permanent magnet DC motor using a numerical model and hysteresis controller, which requires neither shaft encoder, speed estimator nor PI controllers. By supplying the identical instantaneous voltage to both model and motor in the direction of reducing torque difference, the rotor speed approaches to the model speed, namely setting value and the system can control motor speed precisely. As the numerical model whose electric parameters are the same as those of the actual motor is adopted, the armature rotating speed can be converged to the setting value by controlling torque on both sides to be equalized. And the hysteresis controller controls torque by restricting the torque errors within respective hysteresis bands, and motor torque are controlled by the armature voltage. The experiment results indicate good speed and load responses from the low speed range to the high, show accurate speed changing performance.

A new current controlled PWM technique with N.P.C structure is proposed in this paper. A current controlled PWM technique with neutral-point-clamped pulsewidth modulation inverter composed of main switching devices which operates as switches for PWM and auxiliary switching devices to clamp the output terminal potential to the neutral point potential is described. This inverter output contains less harmonic content as compared with that of a conventional current controlled PWM type. In addition, the proposed current controlled PWM technique has lower switching frequency than that of conventional current controlled PWM technique at the same current limit. Two inverters are compared analytically. The improved voltage waveform of current controlled PWM with N.P.C structure is analyzed and the performance is investigated by the computer simulation.
A novel hysteresis tunable monolithic comparator circuit based on a 0.35 ${\mu}m$ CMOS process is suggested in this paper. To tune the threshold voltage of the hysteresis in the comparator circuit, two external digital bits are used with supply voltage of 3.3V. The threshold voltage of the suggested comparator circuit is controlled by 234mV by change of 4 digital control bits in the simulation, which is a close agreement to the analytic calculation.

Electric propulsion ships are gaining widespread interest in the marine industry owing to extreme air pollution concerns. Consequently, several studies are actively being conducted for improving the power quality. Various methods have been developed that incorporate passive filters, notch filters, and active filters for reducing the harmonic content in the input current of a conventional diode front end rectifier. Among such filters, the active front end (AFE) rectifier is considered as an excellent technology. In this paper, current control for an AFE rectifier employing space vector PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) is proposed. Conventional current control methods for the AFE rectifier, hysteresis, SPWM (Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation), and SVPWM (Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation) were simulated by employing the PSIM software tool for analysis and comparisons. The results corroborate that SVPWM has the simplest structure and provides the best performance.
