맥동관형 크라이오 펌프 국산 시제품 성능예측과 평가

  • 맥동관형 크라이오펌프 개발 2단계를 맞아 우성진공(유)을 중심으로 상용화 시제품 제작이 진행되고 있다. 최종 크라이오 펌프 개발품은 흡기구 직경(내경) 16.5 (14) 인치에 질소 배기속도 3,600 L/s를 목표로 하고 있다. 상용품 완성 전에 거쳐야 할 필수적인 시험과정으로 시제품의 공정대응성 현장평가를 위해 KAIST 나노팹에 개발품을 투입하는 프로그램이 계획되어 있어서 공정장치에 장착할 수 있도록 10인치 크라이오 펌프 제작이 추가로 진행되고 있다. 개발품의 성능확인은 우선 몬테카를로 계산을 통해 배기속도를 예측하고 구조설계를 최적화했으며 이를 바탕으로 가공 조립된 크라이오펌프 시제품의 성능을 표준화된 장치에서 표준화된 절차를 통해 평가하여 설계 목표값과 비교했다. 한편 개발품의 성능 수준을 상대적으로 규정하기 위해 기존 상용품들을 같은 방식을 따라 평가하여 성능을 서로 비교하는 작업을 수행했다. 10인치 모델로는 국산 Genesis HPM200, CTI-8 수직형 및 수평형 GM 크라이오 펌프를 성능 시험했으며 16.5인치 개발품의 유사모델로 CTI-12 GM 크라이오 펌프를 시험해서 비교했다.

  • 디젤 엔진의 연소 과정에서 흡입공기와 분사된 연료의 최적 혼합기 형성이 배기성분, 연료효율 등 엔진의 성능을 향상시키는데 있어 매우 중요한 과제중의 하나이다. 이를 위하여 연료분무 현상에 대한 연구와 더불어 연소실내 공기유동 현상에 대한 연구가 주요 관심대상이 되어왔다. LDV를 이용한 3-D 유속측정 및 각종 CFD Code를 이용한 유동해석등의 방법으로 엔진 실린더 내부의 유동현상을 이해하는데 많은 도움이 되고 있으나 아직도 엔진연소실설계 등 엔진 개발에 있어서는 종래의 방법에 의한 실린더내 와류 강도의 비교평가에 크게 의존하고 있으므로 여기서는 디젤 엔진의 와류를 측정 평가하는 방법으로 Paddle Wheel회전을 이용한 Paddle Wheel식 Swirl Meter방식과 실린더내 흡입공기의 각 운동량을 측정하는 Impulse식 Swirl Meter 방식에 대해 고찰하고자 한다.

Analysis on Vehicle Fires Caused by Damage of Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) (매연저감장치 손상에 기인한 차량화재 사고사례 분석)

  • This paper deal with vehicle fire caused by damage of diesel particulate filter (DPF) on diesel passenger vehicles. In order to reduce particulate matters included exhaust gases, a DPF in the exhaust system were installed diesel vehicles. A DPF was broken by excessively trapped particulate matters, regeneration error with a malfunction of ECU and defect of suction system such as swirl valve. If the DPF was broken, hot exhaust gases was released to the bottom of vehicle and released hot exhaust gases lead to occur the fire through combustible materials around the exhaust system. When a fire happened in the diesel vehicle caused by damage of DPF, silicate inorganic compounds were attached to the exhaust ventilation pipe and muffler. The silicate inorganic compounds were created by DPF combustion consisting of raw material ceramics. If the silicate inorganic compounds attached to the tail pipe in the diesel passenger vehicles, its fire cause will be assumed damage of DPF.

  • Chest X-ray is radiological examination for xeamining the lungs and haert, and is particularly widely used for diagnosing lung disease. Since the quality of these chest X-rays can affect the doctor's diagnosis, the process of evaluating the quality must necessarily go through. This process can involve the subjectivity of radiologists and is manual, so it takes a lot of time and csot. Therefore, in this paper, based on the chest X-ray quality assessment guidelines used in clinical settings, we propose a tool that automates the five quality assessments of artificial shadow, coverage, patient posture, inspiratory level, and permeability. The proposed tool reduces the time and cost required for quality judgment, and can be further utilized in the pre-processing process of selecting high-quality learning data for the development of a learning model for diagnosing chest lesions.

Study on induction air swirl in D.I. diesel engine (직접분사식 디젤기관의 흡입공기 선회강도에 대한 고찰)

  • 직접분사식 디젤기관의 성능과 배기가스 문제에 여향을 주는 실린더 내에서의 연소형태는 크게 연료분사계와 흡입공기 유동계 두 가지에 의해 결정된다. 즉 분사율, 부사시기, 분무형태와 같은 분사계의 특성과 공기선회, 스퀴시(squish), 난류와 같은 공기 유동 특성에 의하여 연소형태가 결 정된다. 이러한 복잡한 연소형테를 기관 특성에 맞게 조정한다는 것은 대단히 어려운 문제인데 이것은 연료화 공기의 혼합이 연소실형상과 흡기계의 형상에 큰 영향을 받으며 연료가 액체 상 태로 연소실내로 들어와 분무과정을 통하여 증발이 되어야만 연소가 가능하기 때문이다. 특히 흡입공기 유동계에 있어서 현재의 직접 분사식 대젤기관의 흡입구 형상은 흡입공기의 운동에너 지에 모멘트를 가하여 연소실내에서 공기의 선희(swirl)를 발생시켜 줌으로써 연료와 공기의 혼 합기를 형성시키는 Helical type이 많이 이용되고 있다. 그러나 기관 성능과 배기가스 특히 NOx는 상반관계를 이루기 때문에 연소실내로 들어오는 흡입공기의 선희강도(swirl ratio)를 너무 강하게만 한다고 하여 좋은 결과를 얻을 수는 없다. 따라서 설계하고자 하는 각 기관에 있어서 요구되는 성능과 배기가스 문제를 만족하는 흡입공기의 선희강도가 얻어질 수 있도록 흡입구 형상을 설계한다는 것은 많은 연구와 경험이 요구되고 있다. 본 자료에서는 직접분사식 디젤기 관에 있어서 흡입공기의 최적 선희강도에 대한 설정방법과 흡입구 형상 설계를 위한 설계 이론 및 정상류 Rig test상에서의 흡입공기 선희강도의 평가방법을 소개하고자 한다.

The Effect of Speed-Change Gait Training on Cardiopulmonary Function of Stroke Patients (속도변화 보행 훈련이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 심폐기능에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the changes in the cardiopulmonary functions of stroke patients by adjusting the s heart rate during walking training. This study was conducted on 20 chronic stroke patients. The experimental group conducted walking training by varying the walking speed according to the change in heart rate on the treadmill. In contrast, the control group conducted walking training by the subjective speed of the subject. The walking training was conducted for 32 minutes, three times a week, for a total of six weeks. The changes after the intervention of the subjects were determined by measuring the VC, ERV, IRV, FVC, FEV1, and PEF. The study revealed interactions between the groups and timing in the VC, ERV, and IRV(p<.05). There were no interactions between the groups and timing in FEV1, FVC, and PEF. The main effects showed no significant differences between the groups (p>.05) but showed significant differences between periods (p<.05). These results suggest that the cardiopulmonary function was improved significantly when the training was conducted by changing the pace of the heart rate in the walking process, leading to significant changes in the cardiopulmonary function.

  • Recently, the Well-dying Act was legislated in Korea, and it will come into effect in August 4, 2017. This Act allows to withdraw the life sustaining treatment from impending death patients and also provide the hospice and palliative treatment to terminal patients. In the Supreme Court's case so called "Madam Kim", medical condition of Madam Kim was a persistent vegetative status owing to brain damage and her family members wanted to remove the artificial ventilation. In 2009, the Supreme Court allowed to withdraw the artificial ventilation under the specific conditions. We applied this new Well-dying Act to the Madam Kim's case hypothetically in order to know this Act can reasonably solve the problem of life sustaining treatment for dying or terminal patients. For the impending patients, the Well-dying Act has the problem not to withdraw the futile treatment due to the advance directives of patients. Vice versa, the terminal patients have no chance to withdraw the life sustaining treatment due to the this Act impose the duty to provide the hospice and palliative treatment despite of advance directives. We need to ruke out the persistent vegetative patients from the terminal patients caused by the cancer, acquired immune deficiency syndrome, chronic obstructive lung disease and chronic liver cirrhosis, In addition, we have to discuss the effect of the advance directives of terminal patients in view of self determination right.

Effects of Swirl and Combustion Parameters on the Performance and Emission in a Turbocharged D.1. Diesel Engine (선회유동 및 연소인자가 터보과급 디젤엔진의 성능 및 배기가스특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The effects of swirl and combustion parameters on the performance and emission in a turbo-charged D.I. diesel engine of the displacement 9.4L were studied experimentally in this paper. Generally the swirl in the combustion process of diesel engine promotes mixing of the injection fuel and the intake air. It is a major factor to improve the engine performance because the fuel consumption and NO$_{x}$ is trade-off according to the high temperature and high pressure of combustion gas in a turbocharged D.I. diesel engine, it's necessary to thinking over the intake and exhaust system, the design of combustion bowl and so on. In order to choose a turbocharger of appropriate capacity. As a result of steady flow test, when the swirl ratio is increased, the mean flow coefficient is decreased, whereas the gulf factor is increased. Also, through engine test its can be expected to meet performance and emissions by optimizing the main parameter's; the swirl ratio is 2.43, injection timing is BTDC 13$^{\circ}$ CA, compression ratio is 16, combustion bowl is re-entrant 5$^{\circ}$, nozzle hole diameter is $\Phi$0.28*6, turbocharger is GT40 model which are compressor A/R 0.58 and turbine A/R 1.19.

Experimental Study on the Wall-Wetting Formation and Spray Characteristics of Gasoline Engine Injector (가솔린엔진 인젝터의 벽류 및 분무특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • Fuel spray characteristics of the gasoline engine injector has been studied experimentally. Wall wetting fuel stream of the 4-hole and 12-hole injectors has been tested and measured with various installation angle and port masking shapes. Spray visualization has been performed to analyze spray formation, spray angle, and penetration length. Test result shows that wall wetting is greatly influenced by the induction air flow and injector installation angle. Wall wetting amount decreased as injector installation angle decreased. Masking decreased wall wetting amount by increasing local intake-air flow velocity due to the decreased section area. Spray visualization showed that the 12-hole injector has robust performance characteristics compared with the 4-hole injector.

Numerical Study on Transfer Port Design for Scavenging Performance in Small Two-stroke Engines (소형 2행정 엔진의 전송 포트 형상에 따른 소기 성능에 대한 수치 해석적 연구)

  • In this paper, the scavenging process of various transfer ports was evaluated to improve the performance of a small two-stroke engine for unmanned aerial vehicles. Three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics simulations were performed to four transfer ports for the evaluation, and a three-phase scavenging model was developed and applied to the simulation results for the quantitative comparison of scavenging performance. the short-circuit of fresh charge was restrained and an in-cylinder turbulent kinetic energy was enhanced by changing the transfer port. Also, a difference in the scavenging for each port were confirmed by applying the three-phase model to the simulation results.
