Black-out Game(Lightout, Merlin Game, ${\sigma}$+Game) is an interesting game on the chessboard, when you click a button with black or white color, it changes color of itself and other buttons who shares edges. With this rule, we win the game when we have a chessboard with all same color after we click some of the buttons of it. Pretty much of research has been made on founding the winnable strategy for this type of game. In this paper, we first introduce a history of mathematical modeling on this game. Then we develop an algorithm to offer a winnable blackout game of any size. Our tools also show our new algorithm works. Finally, we show how we can use this game in mathematics education.
Blackout game on a certain size of the Go table, which looks simple, involves a variety of mathematical modeling. This study uses a research and education method. While the mathematically gifted students were playing blackout game, the author, as the instructor, observed the ways in which they approached various mathematical models. Based on the data, this study examines the effects of blackout game on the children's cognitive processes. This study further discusses the issues of questions.
Life-and-death problem in Go is a fundamental problem to be overcome for implementing a computer Go. To solve it, an important consideration is to find out who surrounds or is surrounded between black and white players. To figure out the boundary between black and white groups, we applied an influence function and a contour tracing algorithm. We found that applying the Moore-neighbor tracing among various contour tracing algorithms can create boundaries, and also suggested the possibility of tremendously reducing the search space of a game tree.

For finding the optimal strategy in Blackout game which was introduced in the homepage of popular mono "Beautiful mind", we develope a mathematical proof and an algorithm with a software. We only use the concept of basis and knowledge of basic linear algebra. This process can be extended to the fullsize Go table problem and shows why we have to study mathematics at the college level.

This paper realizes a system that recognizes traffic safety signs by applying the principle used for game in reverse. The game used for this paper is one that expresses the shape of temporary objects intended by the maker when the maker sees the numerical image provided on (x, y) coordinates and then expresses it on the mesh. After separating the traffic safety sign image from the input image, the system is realized by outputting the content of the sign into letters by recognizing the forms and colors constituting the sign using the puzzle game above. Our system has fast process time and better rate of recognition than the existing system with black-and-white image processing and recognition without any penciling progress.
Full-board position evaluation in Go is a measurement of judging the advantages and disadvantages between black and white players during a game playing, and through this, the proper tactics and strategies would be undertaken in the near future. In this paper, we tried to evaluate the full-board positions of the 50 AlphaGo vs AlphaGo games using influence function that halved according to the distance. According to the experimental results, there is a limit to making accurate evaluation when the full-board position is assessed only by influence function. In order to overcome this, it is necessary to solve life-and-death problems to deal with dead stones, and it showed that if this is reinforced, we can precisely evaluate the full-board position in Go.
For finding the optimal strategy in Blackout game which was introduced in the homepage of popular movie "Beautiful mind", we have developed and generalized a mathematical proof and an algorithm with a couple of softwares. It did require only the concept of basis and knowledge of basic linear algebra. Mathematical modeling and analysis were given for the square matrix case in(Lee,2004) and we now generalize it to a generalized $m{\times}n$ Blackout game. New proof and algorithm will be given with a visualization.
