Playfulness of Infants and the Characteristics of Teachers according to Daily Routine Types based on Observation in Infant Classes in Child Care Centers (관찰에 근거한 어린이집 영아반의 일과유형분류 및 일과유형별 영아의 놀이성과 교사 특성)

  • The purpose of the study was to observe and categorize daily routines of infant classes in daycare centers based on quantity of indoor and outdoor free play, group activities and nap/rest and explore differences in infants' play and teacher's behavior according to daily routine types. A team of trained observer observed daily routines and teacher's behavior of 26 infant classes from 7 daycare centers for two days and teachers evaluated 164 infants' playfulness. As a result daily routines of infant classes were categorized into two types: "Indoor & Outdoor Free Play Oriented" and "Group Activities & Rest Oriented". Infants' playfulness of "Indoor & Outdoor Free Play Oriented" groups were higher than that of "Group Activities & Rest Oriented" groups. Teachers from "Indoor & Outdoor Free Play Oriented" groups were found to have more experiences in the field and also they showed more positive and neutral guidance than the others.

Children's Perception about Rest and Naps in Early Child Care and Education Centers Based on the View of Respecting Children's Rights (아동권리 존중 측면에서 본 휴식 및 낮잠에 대한 유아들의 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate children's recognition and needs about rest and naps at child care education centers, in the view of respecting children's rights. The participants were 40 children(20 4 year olds and 20 5 year olds), attending B Public Child Care Education Center in Seoul. The research methods were accomplished by participant observation in project activities and interviews with semi-structured questions. The collections of this process which were recorded document materials and video materials were analyzed by transcribed method. The results of this study were as follows: First, the meaning of the children's recognized rest showed time for family together, time for fun play, time required when they were very stressful and angry, and time for eating delicious meals. Second, children recognized that nap time in the child care center was time for a forced nap, time for listening to quiet music, and time for feeling good after a nap. Third, as for the needs to take a rest and a nap for children, they wanted to rest when they came together at full day class after their friends had returned home, they wanted a special area except the classroom, and they wanted to be cared for by familiar adults. Based on these results of the study, future research directions were proposed in terms of respecting children's rights of enjoying a rest and a nap.

A Study on the Working Status and Onboard Training Satisfaction Level of Merchant Ship's Cadets (상선 위탁실습생의 업무실태 및 실습만족도에 관한 연구)

  • In 2017, there was an accident in which a cadet onboard training was killed. This cadet worked 12 hours a day. No regulation has yet been laid down to define hours and breaks for interns. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the working status of commissioned training, the satisfaction survey of commissioned training, and to improve the treatment of commissioned trainees. The survey was conducted on students commissioned from merchant vessels, and 461 respondents answered the questionnaire. The results of the survey are as follows. First, 43.0 % of cadets said that they worked 10 hours a day on average, regardless of the vessel type, and 35.2 % said that the average rest time was 8 hours. 15.6 % of respondents said they had worked more than 12 hours. Unreasonable order cases deviating from the purpose of education were "making ramen, working at rest time, instruction of dangerous work, making night snack and private errands." Second, the satisfaction level of cadets who practiced on LNG carriers was high, while the satisfaction level of cadets on bulk carriers and container carriers was low. It was confirmed that the ship's size, ship's age, working hours, rest time and training support costs had little minor effect on educational satisfaction. Lastly, 56.8 % of the cadets answered 'commissioned training is like work.' Based on the results of the questionnaires, we proposed the following improvement methods; providing legislation for working hours and rest time for commissioned training cadets, protection system against violence and sexual harassment and victim protection. This study focuses on the working and rest time of merchant ship's cadet and it is meaningful to investigated the onboard training satisfaction by ship's type, size and age.

  • 우리나라는 이미 노령화 사회에 진입하였다. 지식정보사회에 맞추어 실버의 정신적 육체적 휴식과 취미활동을 중심으로 지식정보생산 활동을 적극적으로 지원할 수 있는 실버도서관이 필요하다. 이 연구는 실버들의 정보수집과 활용 측면에서 도서관의 중요성과 역할에 대해서 바람직한 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

Conceptualizing Caregiving Supports for Families Who Have Children with Disabilities: A Concept Mapping Application (장애아동 가족을 위한 돌봄지원 개념화: 개념도 연구법을 활용하여)

  • Caregiving supports have been provided to decrease caregiving burdens of families of children with disabilities, but there are needs for improving caregiving services. The purpose of this study was to conceptualize content items and domains of caregiving supports from the perspectives of parents and service providers in order to help families of children with disabilities to decrease their caregiving burdens. This study used concept mapping that was useful for service-needs identification and program development. First, focus group interviews with two parent groups and one service provider group were conducted to generate a total of 31 items. Also, they sorted the items in terms of conceptual similarity and rated the items in terms of their needs. Next, the sorting data were analyzed using multidimensional scaling and cluster analysis and the rating data were calculated for mean. The results provided 31 content items in four domains: regular caregiving, activity-based caregiving, parent empowerment for caregving, and strengthening family relationships. All the domains were rated as important to decrease caregiving burdens. This study has practical implications for improving caregiving services and the related policies.

  • The aim of this study was to identify the performance and requirements of the visiting nursing care using Omaha system in public health center. The highest performance were 'personal hygiene', 'pain', 'medication regimen', 'nutrition', 'physical activity', 'sanitation', 'sleep and rest patterns', 'oral hygiene', 'mental health' in order. The lowest performance were 'sexuality', 'postpartum', 'income', 'family planning', 'pregnancy', 'spirituality', 'abuse', 'reproductive function', 'neglect' in order. Problems such as 'postpartum', 'pregnancy' and 'family planning' need to strengthen the role of visiting nurses according to the region. this result will be the basis for visitung nursing care.

근골격계질환의 실태조사: 건설현장을 중심으로

  • 건설업계는 제조업과 특성이 달라 여러 가지 문제점이 엿보인다. 특히, 건설업 근골격계 질환에 대한 연구 및 지원은 별로 찾아볼 수가 없다. 근골격계 질환의 제조업과 건설업의 비율을 보았을 때 "2004 산업재해분석" 요양자 업종별 분포를 보면 제조업이 3,281명(79.79%)로 건설업의 63명(1.53%)보다 월등히 많은 것으로 조사되었다. 이는 미국의 사례를 보았을 때, 2007년 업종별 분포를 보면 건설업이 42,867명(26.20%), 제조업이 101,437명(36.23%)로 우리나라에 비해 건설업 근골격계 질환자가 상대적으로 많은 것으로 조사되었다. 이는 건설업에서의 근골격계 부담 작업 실태조사 등을 통하면 제도적 문제점이나, 근로자가 몰라서 질병에 이환되는 경우가 아닌가 한다. 건설업 근로자들은 건설업 특성상 근골격계 질환예방을 위한 도구를 거의 사용하지 못하고, 작업의 연속성, 지속성이 떨어지므로 부자연스럽고, 불편한 자세를 작업을 위해 수시로 반복하여 취할 수 밖에 없다. 따라서 건설업체에 중대재해를 줄이기 위한 노력 뿐 만 아니라, 열악한 건설업체의 근로자의 근골격계 질환 예방에 대한 제도적인 지원과 안전담당자 교육, 근로자에 대한 근골격계 질환 예방교육(스트레칭, 작업 자세, 동작, 근력강화, 적절한 휴식시간 부여) 등 대책이 절실히 필요하고 하겠다.

A Research of the Residents' Availability and Health Effectiveness Based upon the Types of Green Roof (옥상녹화 유형별 거주자 이용행태와 건강효과)

  • The purpose of this research is to identify green roofs based on how to utilize the diverse space. This research also aims to discover the correlation between the use of the green roof and the overall level of the public's health condition, through which it is intended to grasp the health effects by means of the space of the green roof. The current use patterns of the green roof have been identified generally to have more than 60% accessibility, less than 30 minutes of short-tenn use, relaxation or removing stress, enjoy the view of the surrounding, smoking, walking and exercise. It will be highly effective to furnish facilities and plants for tree planting, and to get financial maintenance & management subsidy for the purpose of revitalizing the green roof. It is expected that if the green roof is created in educational institutes, hospitals and shopping centers, where the current level of health conditions is generally low, it will contribute in promoting the city dwellers' health benefits. In addition, the physical environmental renovation through establishing the green roof will bring about producing a healthy city because the emotional health benefits also will make a positive impact upon physical health.

Mediating Effect of Job Satisfaction between Directors' Leadership and Workers' Organizational Commitment in Senior Clubs (시니어클럽 관장의 리더십과 종사자의 조직헌신의 관계에서 직무만족의 매개효과)

  • This study analyzed mediating effect of job satisfaction between directors' leadership and workers' organizational commitment in senior clubs. A survey of 288 workers in Chungcheong and Daejeon was conducted. The statistical analysis methods were frequency, correlation, confirmatory factor analysis, and bootstrap. The analysis result was that directors' leadership had positive effect on workers' organizational commitment and mediating effect of job satisfaction was verified. For improving directors' leadership, it is necessary to develop various leadership education and training programs, to induce voluntary participation in the programs, and to include the participation of leadership program in facility evaluation. To advance workers' job satisfaction, we need various exchange programs with colleagues and peer groups, mentoring and rest service to manage emotional labor, and professional job education and supervision.
