  • 본 논문에서는 태양전지-LED 시스템을 설계하여 부하 발전 배터리 용량을 산정하고, 상용 예비전력을 도입한 독립형 태양광발전시스템을 구현하였다. 또한, LED 조명부하에 대한 휘도 시뮬레이션 및 균일성 검사를 거친 후, 이를 태양광발전시스템과 함께 설치하였다. 태양전지-LED 시스템에 대하여 설계, 설치 및 운영에 관한 현장 시험을 통해 시스템의 신뢰성과 성능 및 제반 문제점을 확인하고, 태양광 에너지를 이용한 LED 표식장치의 다양한 응용을 위한 기초적 근거를 마련하였다.

  • The objective of this paper is to identify the fatigue properties of carbon-fiber composite which is widely applied for the development of aircraft structures and obtain data for full-scale fatigue test. The durability and damage tolerance evaluation of composite structures is achieved by fatigue tests and parameters such as fatigue life factor and load enhancement factor. The specimens are made with carbon-fiber/epoxy UD tape and fabric prepreg. Fatigue tests are performed with several stress ratios and lay-up patterns. The Weibull shape parameters are analyzed by Sendeckyj model and individual fatigue lives with Weibull distribution. And the fatigue life factor and load enhancement factor considering reliability are evaluated.

  • 대용량, 대어휘, 화자독립 음성인식시스템의 개발과 1998년 3월 16일부터 일반인들을 대상으로 시험운용하고 있는 음성인식 증권서비스에 대한 것이다. 이 시스템은 상용서비스를 위하여 한 대당 120명이 동시에 사용할 수 있는 대용량 시스템으로 HMM 기술에 기반을 둔 고립단어 인식 시스템이다. 이 시스템은 음소를 기본 인식단위로 사용하여 인식단어의 추가 및 변경이 자유로우며, 추가 또는 변경된 회사명칭을 운용자의 개입 없이 자동적으로 시스템에 반영될 수 있다. 본 서비스의 개발과정에서 인식대상단어를 결정하는데 발생된 문제점과 인식단어의 변경방법 및 적용후의 효과 등을 살펴보았다.

  • 도로의 난간에 설치되는 조명기구에 의한 불능글레어의 영향을 가로등 조명방식과 비교, 평가하고 글레어 규제를 위한 적정 휘도 범위를 알아내기 위한 시험을 수행하였다. 실내에 시험실을 구축하고, 글레어 유무 시 휘도대비식별역의 변화를 평가하였다. 글레어 광원에 의한 망막조도가 증가하고, 좁은 시야 각 내에 글레어 광원이 존재하면 휘도대비식별역이 증가하였다. 그리고 낮은 위치에 설치되더라도 시야에서 벗어나 있다면 가로등 조명방식에 비해 불능글레어의 영향이 적은 것으로 나타났다.

  • A 6-component load cell (Fx=Fy=Fz=10Kg, Mx=My=Mz=1Kg-m)) is designed and manufactured. Basic mechanism of the operation is measuring strains coresponding to pure bending stresses, at certain portions of the device, due to forces and moments given. Wheastone bridge is used for the strain measurement and the amplified output signals from the bridge are decoupled to give the real forces and moments by using the influence coefficient matrix obtained through the calibration. Based on the result of the calibration test, the developed load cell is believed to be quite accurate and reliable. We also believe that the design experience provided us 'With essential information for future design of various types of conventional or object oriented force measuring device.

  • In this study, Standards of Lighting Appliance and Standard of Model Approval and Inspection Technology for EXIT LIGHT are compared so as to analyze stability of a exit light which is fire product. Test items, which are not included in Standard of Model approval and Inspection Technology for EXIT LIGHT, are deduced from aforementioned comparison and analysis. Also the derived test items are experimented with a exit light. For a power factor correction, a power factor correction circuit is designed and power factor, crest factor, asymmetry ratio, luminance variation are analyzed. In order to show the validity of designed circuit, current waveform and voltage waveform are measured.

  • In this paper, a novel mechanism for overcoming obstacles is studied by designing an All-Directional RC car for obstacle traversal and creating test courses with various obstacles. We propose an algorithm for controlling the RDS3115 servo motor and utilize a gyro sensor to detect the incline of various obstacle terrains, adjusting the servo motor's angle to enable the RC car to navigate the terrain. Through terrain experiments in the test course, we determined the most suitable RC car turning angles for traversing all obstacle terrains created in the experimental terrain.

  • 1. The experiment was conducted to investigate the physiological characteristics on ten isolates of bacterial leaf blight pathogen of rice, Xanthomenas eryzae Dowson. Seven out of tin isolates were isolated from infected leaves of various rice varieties including IR strains in Korea. Isolates S-20 and S-103 were originated from IRRI in Philippines, and isolate H-5809 was allocated by National Institute of Agricultural Science in Japan. 2. All isolates Produced hydrogen sulfide and ammonia 9as from peptone sol. media, and reduced methylen blue, Gelatin liquefaction occurred by all isolates tested, although each isolate showed different degree of liquefaction No coagulation of the casein in milk by the isolates was observed, though some amount of acid production occurred in litmus milk by ail isolates tested. 3. All isolates utilized glucose and galactose, and slight utilization of esculin, mannitol, raffinose, salicin and saccharose was observed. Lactose, starch and dextrin, however, were not utilized at all by all isolates tested in the study.

  • The effects of the specimen size and temperature on the compressive strength of ATJ graphite were investigated. Compressive tests were conducted in accordance with ASTM C 965 at room temperature, $700^{\circ}C$ and $900^{\circ}C$. Three types of cylindrical specimen at room temperature were used in uniaxial tests, where the diameter-to - length ratios were one to two for the ASTM standard specimen, one to one for the Type I specimen, and one to 0.5 for the Type II specimen. Two kinds of cylindrical specimens, with and without antioxidant coating, were tested at elevated temperature. The Compressive strength of the expanded specimens(Type I, II) were slightly higher than that of standard specimen at room temperature. The compressive strength of a specimen with antioxidant coating increased as the temperature increased to $900^{\circ}C$. In contrast, that of the non-coated specimen decreases sharply due to the oxidation of the specimen.
