A Study on the Fireproof Characteristic and the Extinguishment by NAF S-III on a Molded Transformer in Substation (변전실용 몰드변압기의 난연성과 NAF S-III 소화에 관한 연구)

  • This dissertation is research on the fireproof characteristic of molded transformer and the extinguishable characteristics of the NAF S-III. As the research method, a theoretical examination has been made for the combustion process of epoxy resin, which was the main material of molded transformer, and extinguishing process of NAF S-III, which has recently been used in the clean extinguishable chemicals. Furthermore, for its proof, the experiments on combustion and extin-guishment on molded transformer has been performed. By installing the actual molded transformer in and artificial the horizontal heating furnace which has similar conditions with the electrical substation, and after subsequently ignited, the extinguishing process has been observed by classifying it into the natural extinguishment of the ignited transformer, and extinguishable chemical in NAF S-III has been injected. The volume of injected extinguishable chemical was the economical amount which was equipped with the extinguishable capability on the molded transformer under combustion, and it was calculated with the Announcement of the Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs as the basis. With the injection of the calculated extinguishable chemicals, the ignited transformer has completely extinguished within one minute.

  • The combustion characteristics of roof 'Jucsim' structure was analysed using real scale fire test on wooden structure heritage building. the fire test model was made to consider roof timberling internal structure for a Sunglemun. Structure of test body layed lime, soil, 'Jucsin' and ceiling board excepting roof tile to find heat propagation process by setting thermocouples. The first test to find fire growth and heat propagation process in the part of ceiling. The second test organized to find the efficiency of fire proof paint between ceiling board and inside of Jucsim structure. The third test try to get the performance level of fire proof fabric with the same manner. The result showed from the test proof the heavy smoke exposure with limited effect of fire proof paint however, reliable fire resistance effect showed in case of fire proof fabric.

  • An experimental study was performed for the combustion-field visualization of the burner which burns the liquid hydrocarbon fuel atomized by an ultrasonic oscillator. Configurations of the flame and temperature gradient were caught by both high-speed camera and thermo-graphic camera, and those images were analyzed in detail through a post-processing. In addition, the fuel consumption was measured using the balance during the combustion reaction. As a result, the consumption of atomized fuel increased with the increasing flow-rate of carrier-gas, but any correlation between the air/fuel ratio and carrier-gas flow-rate was not found at the low flow-rate condition. Also, the combustion-field grew and reaction-temperature rose due to the strengthening of combustion reaction with the increasing flow-rate of carrier-gas and power consumption of ultrasonic oscillator.

  • The catalytic combustion of methanol as a model volatile organic compound(VOC) was been investigated over metal-phthalocyanine(PC) in a fixed bed flow reactor system. The catalytic activity of Co-PC pretreated with air and methanol mixture at $450^{\circ}C$ and 60 cc/min for 1 hr was very excellent. The order of catalytic activity on methanol combustion was summarized as follows: metal free-PC < Zn-PC < Fe-PC < Cu($\alpha$)-PC < Co-PC. By TG/DTA analysis, the tendency of thermal decomposition was increased as follows: metal free-PC < Zn-PC < Cu($\alpha$)-PC < Co-PC < Fe-PC. Under this pretreatment condition, the basic structures of Co-PC, Cu($\alpha$)-PC and Fe-PC were destroyed, and the new metal oxide such as $Co_3O_4$ from Co-PC was confirmed by EA and XRD analysis. But Zn-PC and metal free-PC were retained its basic structure under this pretreatment condition. On the combustion of methanol over Co-PC, HCHO and $HCOOCH_3$ were observed as an intermediate products in the high concentration of reactant or the short contact time(W/F).

  • During process operations, overpressure can be caused by operator's error or malfunction of the device. To prevent this overpressure, gas was released through blowdown system. Because most of released gases are the hydrocarbon mixture and have flammable and toxic properties, the gas is released after burning in flare stack. The increase of scale and complexity of plant requires higher or additional flare stacks. This study tried to solve this problem through flare gas recovery system.

  • vortex tube는 간단한 구조의 관을 이용하여 어떠한 화학작용이나 연소작용 없이 압축유체를 저온 및 고온부분으로 분리하는 에너지 분리장치이다. 금속학자 Georges Joseph Ranque에 의해 vortex tube의 에너지분리 현상이 발견된 후 vortex tube는 공작기계에 의한 금속가공에 있어서 가공물의 열변형을 막기 위한 국소냉각, 금형제품의 급속냉각 또는 냉각복(air cooling jacket)에 사용하거나 공기공급식 호흡보호구의 공기공급시스템에 많이 활용되고 있다. vortex tube를 이용한 냉각복 및 호흡보호구는 소형, 경량으로서 근로자의 직접적인 조작이 간단하고, 열기가 신체에 직접적으로 닿지 않아 안전하고, 냉각효율이 높을 뿐만 아니라 매우 경제적이어서 그 이용률이 점차 확대될 전망이다.   • The characteristics of engine performance with fuel injection system in D.I. diesel engine were studied in this paper A fuel injection system has an important role in the performance and emission gas in a diesel engine. In this paper, an experimental study has been performed to verify the effect of the performance and the emission gas with the factors such as diameters of an injection nozz1e hole, diameters of an injection pipe and injection timing in the fuel injection system. The authors have obtained the results that optimizing the factors of fuel injection system is siginificant to enhance the performance of the engine system and consumption ratio of fuel, smoke, and NOx.

  • 본 논문에서는 상용 이온성 액체를 대체하기 위해 손쉽게 구입할 수 있는 원료물질을 사용하여 이온성 액체를 실험실 규모로 제조한 후 고압 연소전 조건에서 이산화탄소의 용해도 및 재생력을 측정하기 위해 기-액 흡수평형장치를 이용하여 연구하였다. [eeim]ethyl sulfite를 제조하여 흡수실험을 실시한 결과 흡수평형압력이 25bar의 조건에서 0.72 mol $CO_2$ /mol IL의 흡수력을 보였으며, 재생성능은 탈착 전후의 흡수력 차이가 약 9%로 우수한 편이었다. 희석제를 첨가하였을 경우 흡수력은 약 38% 감소하였으나, 합성단계가 간단하며 원료물질이 저렴한 장점을 가지고 있다.

  • 본 논문은 음식물류폐기물의 사료화 및 퇴비화 방법이 독성, 염분, 미숙성 등의 이유로 처리 여건이 어려운 데 대하여, 자체 처리열원으로 활용하여 경제성을 높이고 탈리액 처리 문제를 해결할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 2011년부터 유기성 폐기물이 해양투기가 금지됨에 따라 탈리액의 처리문제는 해결해야만 하는 문제로 제기되었으며, 2007년부터 시행되고 있는 함수율 95% 유지 조건은 새로운 처리비용의 증가로 이어졌다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 방법은 음식물류폐기물을 건조 후 자체 열원으로 사용하여 연료비를 획기적으로 줄이고, 탈리액 대신 경제적 효용가치가 있는 응축수를 만들어 해양투기에 의한 비용부담을 없애는 방법이며, 이전의 회분식 방법을 연속처리할 수 있도록 개량한 방법을 제시한다. 응축수는 액비로 사용가능하므로 완전 재활용이 가능하다.

Effect of Containing Promoter on SCR Catalysts (SCR 촉매에 포함된 조촉매 영향)

  • The policy-making and technological development of eco-friendly automobiles designed to increase their supply is ongoing, but the internal combustion engine still accounts for approximately 95% of automobiles in use. To meet the stricter emission regulations of internal combustion engines based on fossil fuels, the proportion of after-treatments for vehicles and (ocean going) vessels is increasing continuously. As diesel engines have high power and good fuel economy in addition to less CO2 emissions, their market share is increasing not only in commercial vehicles, but also in passenger cars. Because of the characteristics of the diesel combustion, however, NOx is generated in localized high-temperature combustion regions, and particulates are formed in the zones of diffusion combustion. LNT and urea-SCR catalysts have been developed for the after-treatment of exhaust gas to reduce NOx in diesel vehicles. This study examined the effect of a containing promoter on SCR catalysts to cope with the severe exhaust gas regulation. The de-NOx performance of the Mn-SCR catalyst was the best, and the de-NOx performance was improved as the ion exchange rate between Mn ion and Zeolyst was good and the activation energy was low. The de-NOx performance of the 7Cu-15Ba/78Zeoyst catalyst was 32% at $200^{\circ}C$ and 30% at $500^{\circ}C$, and showed the highest performance. The NOx storage material of BaO loaded as a promoter was well dispersed in the Cu-SCR catalyst and the additional de-NOx performance of BaO was affected by the reduction reaction of the Cu-SCR catalyst. Among the three catalysts, the 7Cu-15Ba/Zeolyst SCR catalyst was resistant to thermal degradation. The same type of CuO due to thermal degradation migrates and agglomerates because BaO reduces the agglomeration of the main catalyst CuO particles.
