When do I Protect Myself? Avoidance Motivation toward Online Sexual Harassment on Social Media: A Study Based on Threat Avoidance Theory (언제 나 자신을 보호하는가? 소셜 미디어에서 온라인 성희롱에 대한 회피 동기: 위협 회피 이론을 기반으로)

  • With the increasing use of social media, the occurrence of cyber crimes on social media has also increased. In this paper, we focus on online sexual harassment among various cyber crimes and discuss how social media users use social media to avoid online sexual harassment. Drawing on threat avoidance theory, the factors affecting avoidance motivation were identified. Avoidance motivation was measured based on the affordance of social media, and the influence of the degree of sexualization was tested to examine how environmental factors affect motivation behavior. The results indicated that the more users perceived sexualization on social media, the lower their motivation to avoid sexual harassment. Thus, it is important to create an atmosphere on social media where crime is minimized, and users are able to respond appropriately by continuously managing their accounts on these platforms.

  • Modeling and Simulation (M&S) systems which deal with situational complexity often require human involvement due to the high-level decision-making that is necessary for ship movement, navigation, control center management, shipping company logistics, meteorological system information, and maritime transportation GIS. In order to properly simulate maritime traffic, it is necessary to accurately model the human decision-making process of the ship officer, including aspects of the ship officer's behavioral tendencies, personal navigation experience, and pattern of voyage errors, as this is the most accurate way in which to reproduce and predict realistic maritime traffic conditions. In this paper, which looks at agent-based maritime traffic simulation, we created a basic survey in order to conduct behavior analysis on ship operators' collision avoidance strategies. Using the information gathered throughout the survey, we developed an agent-based navigational behavior model which attempts to capture the behavioral patterns of a ship officer during an instance of ship collision. These results could be used in the future in further developments for more advanced maritime traffic simulation.

The Effect of Socially-Prescribed Perfectionism to Depression: Focusing on Mediating effect of Ambivalence over Emotional Expressiveness and Experiential Avoidance (사회부과적 완벽주의가 우울에 미치는 영향: 정서표현 양가성과 경험회피의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the effect of socially-perfectionism on depression by mediating ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and experiential avoidance. For this purpose, 201 participants across the country conducted the survey, a measure of MPS, AEQ-K, AAQ-II, CES-D. The descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, path coefficient were conducted using SPSS 23.0. The indirect effect was examined using bootstrap in PROCESS Macro. The results of the study are as follows. First, all the variables had meaningful positive correlations. Secondly, When socially-perfectionism affects depression, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness, and experiential avoidance were mediated. As a result, the implications and limitations of the study were discussed.

A Study on the Reliability and Validity of a Korean translated Multidimensional Experiential Avoidance Questionnaire (한국어판 다차원적 체험회피 질문지의 신뢰도 및 타당도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to translate and examine the reliability and validity of Multidimensional Experiential Avoidance Questionnaire (MEAQ) developed by $G{\acute{a}}mez$, Chmielewski, Kotov, Ruggero, and Watson. 285 college students completed the MEAQ. Exploratory factor analysis supported the six factor structure of the 50 items. Internal consistency of 50 items was .91. 315 college students completed the MEAQ. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed six factor structure of 50 items. 275 students of them completed also Acceptance-Action Questionnaire II, White Bear Suppression Inventory, Toronto Alexithymia Scale, Neuroticism, avoidant coping, CES-D, Beck Anxiety Inventory, Psychological Well-Being Scale, Satisfaction with Life Scale. Correlations between MEAQ and these scales supported the convergent, discriminant, and criterion-related validity.

How Indirect Contacts of Older Adults through Media Influence Ageism: Investigating the Mediating Role of Attitudes toward Older Adults and Social Norm (매체를 통한 노인접촉경험이 연령주의 행동의도에 미치는 영향: 노인에 대한 태도와 사회적 규범의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study explores the relationship between indirect contacts of older adults and ageism related behaviors by investigating adults' exposure to portrayals of older people and their images in media. This study also investigates how indirect contacts of older adults influence ageism related behaviors such as avoidance and discrimination against older adults through attitudes and social norms about older adults. Using an online survey collected from 252 adults aged 18-64 years, the authors found that indirect contacts of older adults through media predicted attitude toward older adults as well as social norms. The results also revealed that social norm predicted both avoidance and discrimination behavior against older adults while attitude toward older adults only predicted avoidance behavior. Finally, the findings indicated that attitude toward older adults mediated the relationship between indirect contacts through media and avoidance behavior. However, social norm mediated the relationships between indirect contacts through media and discrimination as well as avoidance behaviors. Implication and limitation of the findings are discussed.

  • 다양한 생물체의 행동 원리를 이용하여 모델링한 알고리즘을 생체모방 알고리즘(Biologically Inspired Algorithm)이라고 한다. 본 논문에서는 생체모방 알고리즘 중 동물 집단의 행동을 모델링한 플로킹 알고리즘(Flocking Algorithm)을 이용한 집단 게임 캐릭터의 길찾기 방법을 제안한다. 플로킹 알고리즘의 조타행동은 크게 분리(Separation), 정렬(Alignment), 응집(Cohesion), 회피(Avoidance)로 구성되어 있다. 게임에서의 기존 플로킹 알고리즘은 주로 여러 개의 몬스터나 NPC 들로 구성된 몇 개의 그룹 단위로 독자적인 집단 행동을 하는 경우에 적합하다. 그러나, 게임플레이어가 제어하는 캐릭터가 많은 경우, 기존 알고리즘은 플레이어가 선택한 캐릭터 그룹을 목표지점으로 이동하는 방법으로 적합하지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 게임 플레이어가 제어하는 집단 게임캐릭터의 목표 지점까지의 길찾기를 위한 수정된 정렬 조타행동 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • 다수의 자율이동로봇으로 구성되는 다개체 시스템에서의 협조행동을 위해서 각 개체는 주변환경의 인식뿐만 아니라 환경변화에 적응할 수 있는 추론능력이 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 강화학습을 이용하여 동적으로 변화하는 환경 하에서 개체들이 스스로 학습하고 대처할 수 있는 협조행동 방법을 제시한다. 제안한 방법을 먹이와 포식자 문제에 적용하여 포식자 로봇간의 협조행동을 구현하였다. 여러 대로 구성된 포식자 로봇은 회피가 목적인 먹이로봇을 추적하여 포획하는 것이 임무이며 포식자 로봇들 간의 협조행동을 위해 각 상태에 따른 최적의 행동방식을 찾는데 강화학습을 이용한다.

  • 본 논문에서 구현한 시스템은 비젼(vision)시스템을 이용하여 자율 이동로봇의 경로를 탐색하고 추출된 정보로부터 자율 이동로봇의 위치제어 성능을 제시하고자 한다. 일반적인 로봇시스템은 자신이 이동해야 할 목표 지점을 자율적으로 생성할 수 없으므로 기타 다른 시스템의 정보를 이용하여 미로를 탐색하거나 장애물을 인식하고 식별하여 자신의 제어전략을 수립한다. 그리고, 본 연구에서 제시한 시스템은 자율이동로봇의 행동 환경을 호스트 PC인 비젼시스템이 로봇의 현재 위치, 로봇이 이동해야 할 목표위치, 장애물의 위치와 형태 둥둥을 분석한다. 분석된 결과값을 RF-Module을 이용해서 로봇에 전송하면 로봇은 그 데이터를 받아서 동작하게 되며 로봇이 오동작 또는 장애물로 인해 정확한 목적지까지 도달하지 못할때 호스트 PC는 새로운 최단경로를 만들거나 장애물을 회피 할 전략을 로봇에게 보내준다. 본 연구에 적용한 알고리즘은 A* 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, 본 알고리즘은 매우 단순하면서도 실시간 처리에 적용가능하며, 자율 이동로봇의 충돌회피, 최단 경로 생성에 대한 성능을 실험을 통하여 제시한다.

  • Online firms collect consumers' private information, which serves as a valuable database for marketing activities. In order to encourage consumers to provide their private information, online firms offer high quality websites for consumers who provide private information. However, identity theft, phishing, and pharming, become critical social issues, consumers started to avoid providing their private information to online firms. Thus, consumers often provide false or limited information, which lacks value for practical use for the online firms. The main issue raised in this study is to discuss how online marketing activities has influence on consumers attitude and information providing behavior. From the result, this paper found that websites reputation had greatest impact on willingness of providing information. Also this study revealed that unauthorized use is the key factor for increasing distrust and avoidance of providing information.

Exploring of Reaction Behavior to Instructor Messages according to Learning Motivation Types in Online Collaborative Learning (온라인 협력학습 환경에서 학습동기 유형에 따라 교수메시지에 대한 반응행동 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate learners' reaction behaviors by the type of learning motive when teaching messages were delivered. The subjects of this study were 82 students from Auniversity and Buniversity in the metropolitan area. Students were online collaborative learning. The instructor delivered six messages. Since then, the researchers have measured the learner 's response time and the frequency and level of interaction. And analyzed using an independent sample t-test. As a result, the frequency and level of interaction increased before the message was delivered. The response time to instructional messages was the fastest among the students with performance avoidance goal orientation. Mastery goal orientation students were most sensitive to scaffolding messages. Performance avoidance goal orientation students responded most sensitively to the reminder message. Finally, Mastery goal orientation students had the most action on new topics. And performance approach goal orientation students had the most to do with accuracy and relevance.
