  • Social development as well as the development of consumer electronic devices due to leakage, electric shock or fire, and many are exposed to the risk of leakage currents. Premises in the control cabinet, but the circuit breaker is installed, the existing circuit breaker shuts off when a short circuit in the control cabinet, installed only have the capability. Also connected to the outlet is installed byeokmada family of devices is not easy thing to check individually. In this paper, circuit breakers and circuit analysis and circuit performance, ZigBee-based premises of consumer electronics devices using sensors to monitor the health of the leakage can be presented on how. Performance analysis, the proposed ELB leakage current control system is built into the appliance leakage circuit breaker for each household appliances because the application can check the status of a short circuit, short circuit, over the existing system can be monitored easily.

A Study on the High Speed Interruption of Parallel Arcing (병렬아크의 고속차단에 관한 연구)

  • Conventional Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELCBs) have defects of a breaking failure or a long breaking-time against parallel arc current. In this paper, breaking characteristics of conventional ELCBs were analyzed by simulation of parallel arc in a low-voltage indoor wiring system, and an air-core current sensor and a signal converter being most available for parallel arc detection were developed and applied to a conventional ELCB. The proposed tripped the ELCB regardless of the location of parallel arc. The breaking-time was in ranges of $1.74{\sim}8.3[ms]$ depending on the phase of arc generation, which is about 5 times as fast as conventional ELCBs with the breaking-time of 50[ms].

Dead Operation Characteristics of Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker for 50[A] Against Surge Voltages (서지전압에 대한 50[A]용 누전차단기의 부동작 특성)

  • Electronic circuits with semiconductor and IC are very weak against the surge voltage and currents. The surge protective devices for electronic circuit and AC power lines are becoming more widely used. It is possible to give rise to the malfunction of the earth leakage circuit breaker(ELB) due to the operation of surge protective devices, and the interruption of AC power lines on account of the malfunction of the ELB brings about several disadvantages such as low operation efficiency and reliability of electronic and informational systems, economical loss, and etc. The aim of the present work is to investigate the dead operation characteristics of the ELB against the surge voltages. The impulse generator of 10[kV) in an 1.2/ 50[~) voltage waveform was fabricated. The dead operation characteristics of the ELB applied by surge voltages were measured under the conditions of KS C 4613 and the test circuit with a varistor. As a consequence, the peak value of the zero-phase sequence circuit of the ELB is increased as the surge voltage and stray capacitance increase. All of the ELBs used in this work were satisfied with the lightning impulse dead operation test condition defined in KS C 4613. However one specimen only did not bring about dead operation in the condition of the test circuit with a varistor. There is high possibility that a large portion of the ELB installed at the AC power lines with the surge protective devices bring about the dead operation.

  • 단로기와 회로 차단기의 스위칭 동작에 의해 발생하는 Very Fast Transient Overvoltage(VFTO)는 변압기, 회로차단기 등 GIS 전력소자에 큰 충격을 주어 잠재적인 위험이 된다. VFTO는 전력기기 소자 및 절연체 손상의 주된 원인이므로 시스템을 설계할 때 반드시 VFTO 최대값을 고려해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 55kV Gas Insulated Substation(GIS)를 분포정수회로기반으로 모델링하여 다양한 투입위상각에 따른 VFTO 상승률을 모의하였다. 이때, EMTP-RV를 이용하여 변압기로 전파된 VFTO를 측정하여 그 경향을 분석하였다.
