기존 병원들의 간호사 호출 시스템은 유선 방식으로 입원실과 화장실 벽면에 부착하여 도움이 필요로 할 경우 간호사를 호출한다. 하지만 유선 방식은 장치가 부착된 입원실과 화장실에서만 간호사를 호출 할 수 있다는 큰 단점을 가지고 있다. 만일 병원 내부의 간호사 호출 시스템이 없는 장소에서 환자에게 응급상황이 발생할 경우 환자는 도움을 받지 못하여 2차 사고로 이어질 수 있다. 반면 무선 방식은 환자들에게 개별적으로 장치를 지급하는 것과 잦은 분실에 의해 비용 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 스마트폰과 Beacon으로 장소의 제약 없이 보다 신속하고 정확하게 환자의 위치를 담당 간호사에게 전송하는 방식을 이용한다. 그리고 이를 기반으로 하여 기존의 간호사 호출 시스템에서 발생되는 환자 위치 사각지대를 해결한 새로운 Multipurpose Patient Support Systems(MPSS)기술을 제안한다.

The objective of this study is to introduce the spatial characteristics and the better arrangement of waiting areas in general hospital on comprehensing the patient's behavior as patient call-system and spatial characteristics is characteristics is changed. That is for improvement in the circumstance of waiting area more important than before, and for the patient satisfaction and patient's affirmative judgement of hospital quality by offering the convenience. Through this study, the way of improvement for waiting area can be suggested such as the beeper system, the restructuring of program information, the multiple aim space without hospital program, the reform of the seat's arrayal, the waiting area with conveniency.

This paper develop a nurse call system using the wireless communication to resolve that a portable problem of established nurse call system. The established nurse call system has a problem that don't use outside of the sickroom because using a wire communication. The proposed nurse call system is composed of a terminal for nurse, a terminal for patient and a server part. The efficacy of the proposed system is verified by means of experimental. Experimental results are presented that show the effectiveness.
