A New Refund Mechanism for Divisible Cash (분할 가능한 화폐를 위한 새로운 환불 방식)

  • 선불방식의 화폐시스템에서 고객은 인출한 화폐를 은행으로부터 환불받을 수 있어야 한다. 그러나 분할된 화폐가 서로 연관될 수 있는 분할 가능한 화폐시스템에서는 고객이 사용한 화폐의 익명성을 유지하면서 남은 금액을 환불해주기가 어렵다. 이 논문에서 이런 문제를 해결한 새로운 방식의 환불 메커니즘을 제공한다. 제안된 새 방식에서 고객은 은행에 익명으로 접근하여 환불티켓을 인출하고, 나중에 인출된 티켓을 이용하여 기존 지불의 익명성을 유지하면서 환불을 받게 된다. 환불티켓을 사용하면 환불과정을 인출이나 지불과정과 독립적으로 제공할 수 있어 환불이 필요없는 경우에는 아무런 추가비용이 소요되지 않는 장점이 있다. 또한 같은 이유에서 여러 시스템에 쉽게 응용이 가능한 유연한 방식이다. 끝으로 환불액을 계속해서 하나의 티켓에 축적하는 방법을 사용하면 지불액과 환불액간에 직접적인 차액관계가 없어지므로 고객의 익명성이 증진되며, 은행에 접촉해야 하는 횟수를 줄여주는 효과가 있다.

The effects of consumers' perceptions and expectations for refund on the result of refund request (소비자의 환불필요성 인식 및 환불성공 기대가 환불요구결과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the effects of consumers' perceptions and expectations about refund on consumers' behavior to refund and its outcome. Major results of this study could be summarized as follows. First, consumers' perceptions and expectations about refund were higher in the case of defective products. However, consumers' behavior to refund were generally passive resulting in the low chance of refund. When there was no defects in product, consumers perceptions and expectations for refund were generally lower resulting in passive and the low chance of refund. Second, when there was defects in product, both consumers' perceptions and expectation tot refund influenced their active behaviors for refund, but not in the successful outcome. In contrast, when there was no defect, those two variables impacted on the behaviors for refund positively In addition, the more active those behaviors requesting for refunds were, the more successful outcome in refund request.

New Offline Electronic Cash using Hash Chain (해쉬체인을 이용한 새로운 오프라인 전자화폐)

  • A hash chain is highly efficient, attractive structure to use in electronic cash. Previous systems using hash chain were, however, either credit-based vendor-specific cash or debit-based general-purpose cash which lacks efficiency due to double spending problem. In this paper, we propose a new divisible cash system using hash chain. This newly proposed cash is general-purpose, debit-based, anonymous, and offline. The efficiency of the system results from its capacity to pay variable amounts with no additional costs. A client always performs a single blind signature in the withdrawal phase, independent of the length of the chain. During payment, a client performs a single challenge-and-response or generates a single signature, independent of the amount paid. This system provides a new refund mechanism, which uses a refund ticket, that allows clients to refund the unspent part of the chain without revealing any connection to the spent part.

  • 최근 전자 상거래 시장이 급격한 성장을 이루면서 고객들의 급변하는 니즈를 파악하는 것이 기업들의 수익에 직결되는 요소로 인식되고 있다. 이에 기업들은 고객들의 니즈를 신속하고 정확하게 파악하기 위해, 기축적된 고객 관련 각종 데이터를 활용하려는 시도를 강화하고 있다. 기존 시도들은 주로 구매 행동 예측에 중점을 두었으나 고객 행동의 전후 과정을 해석하는데 있어 어려움이 존재했다. 본 연구에서는 고객이 구매한 상품을 확정 또는 환불하는 행동을 취할 때 해당 행동이 발생하는데 있어 어떤 요소들이 작용하였는지를 파악하고, 어떤 고객이 환불할 지를 예측하는 예측 모형을 새롭게 제시한다. 예측 모형 구현에는 트리 기반 앙상블 방법을 사용해 예측력을 높인 XGBoost 기법을 적용하였으며, 고객 의도에 영향을 미치는 요소들을 파악하기 위하여 대표적인 설명가능한 인공지능(XAI) 기법 중 하나인 SHAP 기법을 적용하였다. 이를 통해 특정 고객 행동에 대한 각 요인들의 전반적인 영향 뿐만 아니라, 각 개별 고객에 대해서도 어떤 요소가 환불결정에 영향을 미쳤는지 파악할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 기업은 고객 개개인의 의사 결정에 영향을 미치는 요소를 파악하여 개인화 마케팅에 사용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Study on the Improvement of Mobile Game Payment using Blockchain (블록체인을 활용한 모바일 게임결제 개선방안 연구)

  • Currently, most of the mobile game market releases games through Google play and App Store, which have a high share. Because it uses a third-party platform, only the payment API system provided must be used, and third-party platform pays the game company after excluding certain fees. Because game companies do not know whether or not to refund items and cannot get back items through third party transactions, users and professional websites are continuously appearing that exploit refunds. In this thesis, after analyzing problems of existing payment method and presenting a payment model using blockchain smart contract, we analyzed differences from existing model in terms of transparency, decentralization(fee), efficiency, and as a result, payment model using smart contract has low commission through P2P transaction without third parties and transparent transaction record, preventing item forgery and refund. Later, the proposed payment model would lead to the culling of companies acting on behalf of refunds for words that deviate from moral ethics such as "Refund OK even with items" and resolve the problem of unreasonable fees that arise through third-party platforms.

Consumers' Attitudes and Requests for Refunds Depending on the Differences in Periods of Surveys (조사기간에 따른 소비자의 환불에 대한 태도 및 환불요청행동 차이)

  • This study was dealt with consumers' attitudes and requests for refunds on the basis of data gathered in 1997 and 2000 and examined factors shaping the differences of the consumers' requesting for refunds and investigated variables influencing the presence or absence of requests for refunds. Research outcomes could be summarized as follows. First there were no differences in consumers' searches for information of refunds, degrees of satisfactions for practices of refunds, knowledges for refunds, consumers' expectation for the permission of refunds between two periods Consumers generally showed more active behaviors for the request for refunds in 2000 than in 1997. In cases of defects, the chance of getting refunds was higher while consumers feel greater needs for refund. Second, consumers perception for the necessity of refund and their expectations for successful outcomes were higher in cases of defects than in the opposite case; consumers were also more active to request for refunds and get more positive responses in the former case. Third, in cases of defects in 1997, as consumers faced the unsatisfactory response for their previous requests for refunds, they did not actively request for refunds. In 2000, requesting for refunds were more active as they were more knowledgeable, actively search for information of refunds before their purchases, and expect more positive outcomes for their requests for refund. On the other hand, in cases of no defects in 1997, consumers showed more active behaviors requesting for refunds as their own professional jobs, owned greater consumer expectation for positive outcomes and showed greater satisfactions for the previous requests of refunds. In the survey of 2000, consumers showed active behaviors requesting for refunds as they were highly educated, gather much information for refund, and showed positive expectations for the possibility of refund.

  • BOCC(Brand's Offline Cash with a Counter) is useful in mobile environments, but it has the possibility of attacking amount data in a smart card. To insert the upper & lower limitation of amount into a token data decreases the level of risk. If upper and lower values are same, it means a fixed amount token. Since refund can more often happen in on-line commerce, refundability is added. BOCC is based on Discrete Logarithm Problem, needs exponential computations. But mobile terminals like cell phones have low computational power. As a result, ECC is used to Improve the performance supporting same security level.
