The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of knowledge and perception of environmental problems on pro-environmental behavior of youth. The data used for this study were collected using questionnaire. The sample for this study consisted of 654 junior and high school students living in Seoul and Gyeong-gi Province. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The following is a summary of the major findings. (1) The significant variables affecting pro-environmental behavior of youth were need of environmental education, source of environmental knowledge, level of perception on air pollution and scarcity of resources and energy, sex and total amount of allowance of students. These variables explained 20.5% of variance of pro-environmental behavior. (2) Environmental education related variables were the best predictor of pro-environmental behavior; knowledge of environmental problem variables had limited predictive power. (3) Recommendations for teaching-learning strategies have been suggested to enhance youth's pro-environmental behavior in school.

This study analyzed opinions of specialists checking of industrial environment, analysis of bid guideline to select environment friendly railway corridor and choose weight factors. Thus, 7 major categories were extracted from 20 EIA categories and essential supplement request items for environment friendly railway corridor selection. To select environment friendly railway corridors, many alternatives should be compared and the assessment of each alternative must be carried out on the basis of these 7 categories. To solve this problem, the selected method was AHP which simplifies the complex problems utilizing hierarchy, quantifying qualitative problems through 1:1 comparison, and extracting objective conclusions by maintaining consistency. As a result, a GUI-based program was developed which provides basic values of weighted parameters of each category defined by specialists, and a quantification of detailed assessment guidelines to ensures consistency.

최근 환경오염과 생태학적 환경문제가 사회적 중요한 관심사로 인식되고 있다. 포장디자인에 있어서도 재활용과 재사용에 대한 요구와 함께 스티로폼이나 플라스틱을 대체하는 친환경 포장용기와 생분해성 필름 등의 포장재의 개발과 생산이 점차 증가하고 있다. 이러한 사회적 배경에서 본 연구에서는 환경친화적 포장디자인의 개발을 위한 가이드라인 설정을 목적으로 하고 있다. 연구내용은 환경친화적 디자인의 개념과 에코 포장디자인 적용범주, 국내외 에코패키지의 동향 및 포장재 현황을 살펴보고, 각종 정책과 규정 및 관련지침 등의 이론적 자료들을 근거로 일반적으로 고려되고 있는 에코패키지의 기본 방향과 체크리스트를 분석하였으며 이에 따른 가이드 라인 및 수행 절차를 고찰하였다. 에코 패키지의 기본방향은 첫째, 포장디자인의 제작, 사용, 폐기에 이르는 전과정에서 환경측면을 고려해야 하며 둘째, 비용과 품질, 시장성, 디자인 등 다중요소를 고려해야 한다. 셋째, 디자인 부서와 제품설계부서, 생산부서, 환경팀 등 조직 내의 다른 시스템과 기능적으로 협력하여야 하며 넷째, 기업의 다른 여러 가지 환경 활동을 통해 잠재적인 소비자와 시장을 확대할 수 있다는 것이다. 가이드라인의 내용은 자원 절감과 물질 사용량 절감, 재활용성 확대, 에너지 효율 향상, 유해 물질 저감과 안전성 확보, 폐기 효율성을 중심으로 하고 있다. 환경 친화적 포장디자인의 실천을 통해 환경영향성을 개선하고 비용을 감소시키며 소비자의 이미지 개선에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

For the purpose of carbon mitigation, Korea needs to introduce stronger market-based economic incentives to promote environmentally-friendly behaviors of consumers. In particular, the government could consider introducing tax benefits on income taxation for green consumption, as well as public education and campaign, to stimulate environmentally-friendly consumption behaviors. In this respect, using an analysis of Input-Output and Household Income and Expenditure Survey in Korea, this paper designs four major scenarios related to income tax benefits for green consumption, and then explores the economy-wide effects of those proposed policies.

This study is an empirical study to examine how the family-friendly corporate culture affects organizational commitment and job performance for ICT companies in Korea. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of family-friendly culture of ICT companies on the organizational commitment and job performance of their employees. To this end, the impacts of internal factors of family-friendly corporate culture on their organizational commitment and job performance of the employees of ICT companies in South Korean are empirically analyzed. And the findings of the empirical investigation are as follows: Family-friendly Organizational culture and Family-Friendly Welfare System have positive effects on the organizational commitment, and Organizational commitment, in return, has positive effects on the job performance. But the Family-friendly working environment is found to have NO significant effects on the Organizational commitment. These results confirm the characteristics of workers who prefer family-friendly welfare systems with economic rewards rather than formal family-friendly programs.

This study examines how eco-innovation contributes to the exports of environmentally-friendly products using the dynamic panel model. The results reveal that the adjustment in the exports exists to recover the long-run equilibrium with sluggish adjustment speed. In addition, the results show that environmental patent applications and environment-related R&D expenditures are beneficial for enhancing the environmentally-friendly exports. While the environmental patent applications are associated only with an increase in the exports of products for resource management, the environmental R&D expenditures contribute to the exports of pollution management products, cleaner technologies and products, and resource management products. Moreover, as the long-run effects of eco-innovation on the exports become greater than the short-run effects, it appears that public eco-innovation is more likely to support future exports than private eco-innovation.

In this study, environmental knowledge and consciousness and eco-friendly behavior related to dietary life of middle school students were examined. Male and female students in Gyeongsan and Daegu Metropolitan City were selected for the study. Total of 490 questionnaires were delivered and collected, and 445 of them were analyzed by using SPSS Win Ver 12.0. Percentages of students who checked' don't know the answer' in 20 environmental knowledge assessment questions were $14.4\~41.8\%$, and those who gave correct answer to these responded to how the answer were $40.1\~93.3\%$. The average score of environmental consciousness was 3.45 and that of eco-friendly dietary behavior was 2.9 out of 5. When dietary behavior was divided by three categories, such as food purchasing, eating. and dish washing, the score of food purchasing behavior was 2.7, those of eating behavior and dish washing behavior were 3.0, 3.1, respectively. In the relationship between environmental knowledge. consciousness. and eco-friendly dietary behavior, there was significant positive correlation between howledge and consciousness, but no significant relation between consciousness and behavior. It showed that environmental knowledge and consciousness didn't always lead to eco-friendly dietary behavior. Therefore, education for practical betlavior must be emphasized even though the knowledge and consciousness education on environment are important.
