  • 학습자에게 학습의 자율성 및 유연한 학습활동 제공, 자기 주도적 학습환경 제공, 창의력 및 문제해결력 향상, 다양한 교수학습 활동 촉진, 교육의 장 확대를 위하여 범국가적인 차원에서 ICT교육을 실시하고 있다. ICT소양 교육에는 교사들에 대한 연수기회가 많고 멀티미디어 콘텐츠가 많이 개발되어 효과를 보고 있지만 ICT활용 교육은 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 부족으로 교사들이 부담감을 가지고 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 인식하여 ICT활용 교육에 바로 투입할 수 있는 2분 이내의 짧은 동영상 콘텐츠를 개발하고 이를 공개 CGI를 활용하여 VOD로 구현하였다. 아울러 10분 내외의 다큐멘터리 형식의 VOD로 방송학습이 이루어지도록 했으며, 동영상 콘텐츠 개발에 필요한 사전 지식 및 방송학습에 대한 올바른 인식을 갖게 하고자 텍스트 연수 자료도 함께 탑재하여 교실 수업 개선에 이바지하고자 하였다.

  • In information and communications society, the numbers of elementary students who violate copyright law have been growing due to lack of understanding so they are needed to be educated on copyright. However, current education only has focused on copyright infringement, few numbers of educations have instructed copyright oriented examples linked to regular curriculum. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to grow elementary students's understanding of copyright and find new ways of education through designed copyright education program oriented regular curriculum.

Species Diversity of Riparian Vegetation by Soil Chemical Properties and Water Quality in the Upper Stream of Mankyeong River (만경강 상류 수질 및 식생분포와 토양환경에 따른 하천식생의 종 다양성)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate influence of chemical properties in the riparian on the species diversity and to get plant information for enhancement of natural purification in Mankyeong River. The concentration of total nitrogen was high in Jeonju and Sam stream, while that of total nitrogen showed the highest peak in Winter. Concentrations of $NH_4-N$ was $0.01{\sim}0.06\;mg/L$ in Gosan and Soyang stream. The water quality of upstream along with Mankyeong River was suitable for the irrigation source. The riparian vegetation was investigated by Zurich-Montpellier school's method from June, 2001 to September, 2002. The number of riparian plants were 59 families, 129 genera, 165 species, 20 varieties in Gosancheon, on the while 53 families, 111 genera, 141 species, 19 varieties in Soyangcheon. The number of riparian plants in Bari basin was higher than that of other sites namely, 73 families, 134 genera, 218 species, 33 varieties. Riparian vegetation was consisted of 12 plant communities. The contents of organic matter, total nitrogen and electrical conductivity had negative relationship with species diversity (Species richness index, Heterogeneity index, Species evenness index Species number). On the while, species diversity had positive relationship with soil pH. Species diversify of the plant communities were affected by topography and disturbance.

Analysis of Polar Region-Related Topics in Domestic and Foreign Textbooks (국내외 교과서에 수록된 극지 관련 내용 분석)

  • The objective of this study is to increase awareness and interest regarding polar science and thereby aid in establishing the concept and future direction of polar literacy. To analyze the current status, textbooks based on the common school curriculum pertaining to polar topics were reviewed. Six countries that actively conduct polar science, namely Korea, France, Japan, Germany, the United States, and the United Kingdom, were chosen. Subsequently, 402 cases in 110 science and social studies (geography) textbooks of these countries were analyzed through both quantitative and qualitative methods. Based on the obtained results, the importance of polar research in geoscience education and the need for spreading awareness regarding polar research as an indicator of global environmental changes were examined. It was found that the primary polar topics described in the textbooks are polar glaciers, polar volcanism, solid geophysics, polar infrastructure, and preservation of geological resources and heritage. This demonstrates that the polar region is a field of research with important clues to Earth's past, present, and future environments and is also a good teaching subject for geological education. However, an educational approach is needed for systematically laying emphasis on polar research. The implications of this study are manifold, such as the establishment of a cooperative system between polar scientists and educators, extraction of core concepts for polar literacy and content reconstruction, discovery of new polar topics associated with the curriculum, diversification of forms of presentation in textbooks, and development of an affective image that is based on correct cognitive understanding. Furthermore, through the continuance of polar topics in textbooks, students can improve their awareness regarding polar literacy and polar science culture, which in turn will serve as the driving force for sustainable polar research in the future.

효율적인 Bioventing 공정을 위한 모니터링 시스템 개발

  • 국내에서는 1990년대 이후부터 주유소 및 유류저장시설 부근의 토양 및 지하수오염에 관한 법이 제정되었으며 그와 관련된 복원 및 정화 기술개발에 관한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그 중 미생물학적 대사를 이용하는 생물학적복원기술(Bioremediation)은 유류로 오염된 지역에서 정화 및 복원방법으로 적용되고 있으며 또한 경제적인 대안으로 제시되고 있다. Bioremediation기법중 하나인 bloventing은 운전 및 처리비용의 감소와 효율의 향상적인 측면에서 여러 연구자들에 의해 수행되고 있다. 기존에는 오염토양에 대한 물리ㆍ화학적 분석과 미생물 활성에 미치는 인자의 측정이 주를 이루었다. 그러나, 최근에는 토양 가스내 $CO_2$ $O_2$의 측정ㆍ분석을 통한 분해율 평가와 탄화수소 분해에 대한 경과 및 복원시간을 예측하고자 하는 연구가 이루어지고 있는 중이다. 본 연구의 목표는 유류오염지역을 복원하기 위한 기술 중 생물학적 복원기술(bioremediation)의 하나인 bioventing 기술의 국내 적용가능성을 알아보고 궁극적으로 국내 실정에 적합한 bioventing공법의 개발을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 lab-scale bioventing process를 이용하여 생부해를 최대화시키고 오염성분의 휘발을 최소화시키는 bioventing system의 최적운전 mode(연속식, 간헐식)를 개발하기 위해 공기공급량과 생분해량, 그리고 휘발되는 탄화수소양과의 관계를 평가하는 연구를 수행하였다.

The Effects of Experiential Learning Involving Co-activities on Elementary School Students' Environmental Literacy and Scientific Attitude (환경 관련 체험학습이 초등학생의 환경소양과 과학적 태도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose on this study is to identify how effectively experiential learning involving eco-activities make changes in environmental literacy and scientific attitude of elementary students by categorizing those activities into 5 fields of "marine", "rivers", "ecosystem", "climate" and "recycling" and applying those scheme specifically to 5th graders in a elementary school. The conclusion of this study is following. Firstly, after scientific attitude are applied to subjects, a significant disparity was found between experiment group and control group throughout all parts of environmental literacy. In the cognitive category, each specialist concerning his or her own topic was invited to educate the students, and subsequently a positive impact was detected in the category of environmental issue knowledge. In behavioral category, having eco-activities made a significant disparity in all sub-categories of environmental function, active participation, saving activities, recycling activities and so forth. Secondly, experiential learning involving eco-activities made a significant disparity between the two groups in terms of Scientific Attitude, showing effectiveness in all sub-categories except curiosity.

Drought risk assessment by monthly precipitation regression in multipurpose dams (다목적 댐의 월강우량 회귀분석에 의한 가뭄위험 평가)

  • 기후변화 등에 따른 가뭄위험을 평가하기 위한 다양한 방법이 연구되어 왔으며, 기상학적인 가뭄이나 생물학적인 가뭄 등으로 정의되는 가뭄지수들이 개발되어졌다. 그러나 궁극적으로 가뭄의 판정은 수원으로부터 더 이상의 용수를 공급할 수 없는 상황에 처해졌을 때 비로소 결정되는 것이므로, 수원공의 가뭄위험에 대한 평가가 우선적일 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 수도권의 생공용수 공급을 책임지고 있다고 해도 과언이 아닌 다목적댐인 소양강댐과 충주댐의 가뭄위험을 평가하기 위하여 월강우량 자료로부터 특정시기의 저수율을 예측할 수 있는 방법을 개발하도록 하였다. 월강우량 변화에 따른 저수율의 변화양상을 예측하기 위하여 저수지 유입량과 방류량에 따른 물수지 분석이 정교하게 이루어져야 하지만, 실질적으로 상류에 또 다른 댐이 존재하는 상황에서 유입량을 정확하게 예측하는 것도 어렵지만 수시로 상황에 따라 이루어지는 방류량을 적절히 예측하는 것은 거의 불가능하므로, 물수지 분석에 의한 저수율 예측은 어느 정도의 불확실성을 가질수밖에 없을 것으로 판단되어 댐 관리관행에 따라 나타나는 월강우량과 저수율 사이의 회귀분석을 통하여 일정한 법칙을 만들 수 있는지 시도하였다. 다목적 댐인 소양강댐과 충주댐의 1984-2013년의 일별 저수율 자료로부터 저수율 관리관행을 파악할 수 있었는데, 다목적 댐인 관계로 호우시의 홍수피해 예방을 위하여 6월말에는 25-35% 정도의 저수율을 유지하도록 관리가 이루어지고 있었으며 호우가 발생된 이후에는 일정량을 수시로 방류하여 다음 호우를 준비하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 각 댐의 최저 저수율은 3월말 - 4월에 발생하는 것으로 나타났으며, 4월과 5월에 일정 정도의 강우량만 존재한다면 가뭄피해는 발생하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 저수율 관리 관행을 적용하여 예측되는 강우량 패턴에 따른 저수율 변화를 예측하기 위하여 월강우량 자료와 4월 1일 기준의 저수율 자료 사이의 회귀분석을 실시하여 전년의 7월부터 당해 3월까지의 월강우량으로부터 4월 1일의 저수율을 예측할 수 있는 의미 있는 결과를 도출하였다. 이러한 결과는 기후변화 등에 따른 미래에 예측되는 월강우량 자료로부터 각 댐의 4월 1일 기준 저수율 자료를 예측할 수 있으며, 4월 및 5월의 월강우량과 함께 분석함으로써 가뭄위험을 평가할 수 있는 한 방법으로 적절한 활용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

A Case Study on the Features of General Citizen's Scientific Participation and Action: Focus on the Case of Responding to Fine Dust Issue (일반 시민의 과학적 참여와 실천 사례 연구: 미세먼지 문제 대응 활동을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate qualitatively two cases of general citizens' scientific participation and activities responding to fine dust problem. The processes of their scientific actions were investigated and categorized inductively based on three stages: problem recognition stage, information collection and analysis stage, and sharing and spreading stage. As a result, in the 'problem recognition' stage, two participants recognized the seriousness of the fine dust problem as they felt a threat to their health and began to act practically by questioning the accuracy of public data. In the 'information collection and analysis' stage, a participant collected as much information as possible and compared them in order to obtain more accurate information for her situation. On the other hand, another participant conducted various experiments in person to get the information which is appropriate to his situation. Finally, in the 'Sharing and Spreading' stage, both participants created and shared various materials based on online environment, and continued their activities with a sense of contribution through others assistance. Educational implications are discussed in terms of civic science education and scientific literacy.

Development of Quest-Based Mobile STEAM Content for Scientific Experiments in Middle Schools (중학교 과학실험을 위한 퀘스트 기반 모바일 STEAM 콘텐츠 개발)

  • As the 2015 revised curriculum is being implemented from 2018, efforts are being made to cultivate scientific literacy among students in the field of science. Scientific experiments help students to develop their interest in Science and their scientific attitudes. Learning through experimentation rather than learning scientific facts increases learners' understanding, and can be remembered longer. Therefore, experiments in Science subject are very important. However, in middle schools, scientific experiments are not performed due to the lack of time, budget and experimental material. In this research, we analyze middle school science textbooks, conduct questionnaires for students of science pre-service teachers, select the most important science experiments, and develop a mobile App to simulate and experience scientific experiments with the App. The proposed App is developed in a game format using quest-based learning methods to gain learning enhancement. It is also made using Unity. In this paper, after developing the app, we propose the direction of STEAM contents development through analyzing the difference from existing apps and the feedback from users.

Carbon Footprint Awareness on Education in Connection with SDGs of the Pre-service Teachers (SDGs 연계 교육에서 예비교사들의 탄소 발자국 인식)

  • We are to introduce an example of ESD in connection with SDGs through liberal arts courses opened at the College of Education. We analyzed the awareness of the carbon footprint expressed by 42 preservice teachers in a class designed in connection with SDGs 13 goal, 'climate action'. The pre-service teachers wrote a carbon diet diary, a checklist for the level of practice that emits carbon in daily life, and freely expressed the source and proportion of their carbon emissions through the carbon footprint drawing activity. In items of electricity use, public transportation use, and garbage disposal, the level of practice was positive, but water use was analyzed in a negative way. The pre-service teachers who expressed the carbon footprint in 2-3 items reached a majority, showing limitations in recognizing the carbon emission situation in their daily life. Pre-service teachers will be the main actors of education on the environmental issues of the earth at the school site, and the carbon literacy of pre-service teachers will directly or indirectly affect students. We hope that various ESD programs linked to the 17 SDGs will be developed and applied to the educational field to contribute to sustainable global environmental education.
