The present research investigates the reciprocal effects of a previous brand extension and follower brand extension's market performance on a parent brand of a follower brand's extension product using 2(previous brand extension's market performance: success vs. failure)${\times}$2(follower brand extension's market performance: success vs. failure) between-subjects factorial design. The verification of the hypothesis is composed through 2-way ANOVA. As a result, the consumers' evaluation of the parent brand of a follower brand's extension product when the follower brand's extension succeed was more positive when the previous brand's extension has failed. However, when the follower brand's extension has failed, the consumers' evaluation of the parent brand of a follower brand's extension product was more negative when the previous brand's extension has succeeded.

본 연구는 확장된 합리적 행동이론(ETRA)을 이용하여 주식투자 시 자본시장심리지수를 기반으로 한 어플리케이션의 선택행동에 영향을 끼치는 요인들과 투자자의 휴리스틱과의 관계를 알아보는데 있다. 연구자는 개별 투자자의 휴리스틱이 선택행동에 영향을 미칠 것으로 추정하고 대표성 휴리스틱, 가용성 휴리스틱, 감정 휴리스틱을 측정하여 선택행동에 영향을 미치는 매개변수로 분석을 하였다. 연구모델의 경로계수 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 독립변수인 투자기회확장 그리고 매개변수인 휴리스틱 중 대표성 휴리스틱이 행동의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 행동의도가 종속변수인 선택행동에 영향을 미치고 매개변수인 가용성 휴리스틱이 선택행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 연구모형에서 대표성 휴리스틱에 영향을 주는 독립변수는 혁신적 성향, 투자기회확장, 사용비용, 그리고 인지된 효익이며 반면에 가용성 휴리스틱에 영향을 주는 독립변수는 혁신적 성향과 투자기회확장으로 밝혀졌다. 매개효과 검증결과에 의하면 서비스다양성은 선택행동에 영향을 미치는데 휴리스틱의 매개효과가 없고 직접효과만 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 반면에 투자기회확장은 선택행동에 미치는 직접효과는 통계적으로 유의하지 않고 매개변수 휴리스틱의 간접효과 값이 0.217이고 통계적으로 유의하여 매개효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 휴리스틱의 매개효과를 개별적으로 확인한 결과 첫째, 대표성 휴리스틱은 매개효과를 통한 간접효과가 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 가용성 휴리스틱은 매개효과의 크기가 0.1360이고 경로계수가 통계적으로 유의하게 나타나 매개효과를 통한 간접효과가 있다는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 독립변수 투자기회확장은 시장 심리지수를 기반으로 한 어플리케이션에 대한 선택행동에 영향을 미치는데 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 않고 투자자의 가용성 휴리스틱이 매개가 되어 간접적으로 선택행동에 영향을 나타내는 것을 실증적으로 확인하였다.

This study is to verify the effect of similarity of expanded-product, brand concepts of parent-brands and implicit theory of customers on the brand-extension evaluation, in order to reduce the risk of brand extension. First, this research documents how the similarity between the parent-brands and expanded-products affect brand-extension evaluations as a main effect variable. Second, this study examines the moderating effect of the brand concepts of parent-brands on the brand-extension evaluation. Third, this research documents how implicit theories regarding personality affect consumer evaluations about the brand-extension. The study assumes and tests that consumers in the group of incremental theorists are more accepting of brand-extensions than consumers in the group of entity theorists. The result figures out the implicit theory customers has some moderating effect on the evaluations, yet the direction of the effects is contrary to expectations.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of slow maxillary expansion (SME) on the dentoalveolar, skeletal, upper airway, and maxillary sinus using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Twenty-three orthodontic patients (mean age 8.93 ± 1.61 years) who were treated with maxillary expansion using banded hyrax in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Jeonbuk National University Dental Hospital were included. According to the expansion speed applied, they were divided into two groups: SME (12 subjects, mean age 8.92 ± 1.45 years) and rapid maxillary expansion (RME, 11 subjects, mean age 8.94 ± 1.84 years). CBCT were obtained before (T0) and after (T1) the treatment and were analyzed with InVivo5 software (Anatomage, San Jose, CA, USA). Descriptive statistics showed no significant differences between the two groups in age, sex, or skeletal maturity. There were significant increases in maxillary width at the dentoalveolar and skeletal levels for both groups. Upper airway volume revealed a significant increase of 38.59% in the SME group and 28.72% in the RME group. However, there was no significant difference between SME group and RME group in all measurements. This study suggested the efficacy of SME in growing patients. SME was effective in increasing not only dentoalveolar and skeletal measurements but also airway volume. Therefore, pediatric dentists should select an appropriate expansion method considering the physiological aspects of periodontal tissues and discomfort in growing children.

Continuous subway line expansion over the years in Seoul metropolitan area has contributed to improved accessibility to public transport. Since public transport accessibility has a significant impact on housing decisions, quantitative analysis of correlation between housing prices and public transport accessibility is regarded as one of the most important factors for planning better housing policies. This study defines the reduction of traveling time resulted from the construction of new metro stations despite them not being the closest stations as 'Network Expansion Effect', and seeks to understand how the Network Expansion Effect impacts on housing prices. The study analyzes monthly rent data converted from upfront lump sum deposit, so called Jeonse in Korea, from 2012 to 2018, through 'A Modified Repeat Sales Model.' As a result, the effect of 'Network Expansion' on rental prices in Seoul has stronger during the period of 2017 to 2018 than the base period of 2012 to 2014, which suggests the 'Network Expansion' has a meaningful effect on rent. In addition, in comparison between the most and the least affected group of apartments by 'Network Expansion Effect', the most affected group has more price increase than the least affected group. These findings also indicate that different levels of 'Network Expansion Effect' have various influences on the value of residential real estate properties.

Containment queries for XML documents is one of the most important query types, and thus the efficient support for this type of query is crucial for XML databases. Recently, object-relational database management system (ORDBMS) vendors try to store and retrieve XML data in their products. In this paper, we propose an extensible index to support containment queries over the XML data stored as BLOB type in ORDBMSs. That is, we describe how to implement the index using the extensibility feature of an ORDBMS, and describe its usage.

In The AV system, to produce a realistic sound effect is very difficult because the distance between stereo speakers is very narrow. Many signal processing method of widening the sound image for spatial impression have been studied. Most of the typical methods of widening the sound image are related to the phase shifting. but this method was not effective in the concrete wall structure with high reflectivity. In this paper, we proposed an effective method of extending stereo sound image using Precedence Effect and reflected sound. In experiments we confirmed the usefulness of the method for extending stereo sound image of a conventional AV system in wider listening area of a room.

This study is to investigate the influence of brand benefit on brand extension, especially focusing on the mediating effect of trademark belief and the moderating effect of categorical similarity. This study restates that brand benefit affect consumers' brand extension attitude and confirms that it is completely mediated by trademark belief. In addition, this study finds that categorical similarity moderates the effects of brand benefit on brand extension attitude. The results of this study suggest a theoretical implication that trademark belief can be used as one of the brand extension strategies and a practical implication that the brand communication strategy based on brand benefits should be changed with the categorical similarity.

DES의 키 길이를 확장 시킴에 있어서 처리 속도의 저하없이 112 비트의 키를 사용할 수 있는 SX-DES 구조를 제안하고 SX-DES애서 DES의 P-Box가 SX-DES에 대한 Differential Crytanalysis 공격에 의해 키 길이가 감소되는 효과를 가지고 있으므로 P-Box를 재구성하여 SX-DES가 확장된 키 효과를 충분히 가질 수 있도록 하였다. 처리시간은 DES보다 2 % 정도 더 소요되었다.

Conventional XML query methods such as simple keyword match or structural query expansion are not sufficient to catch the underlying information in the documents. Moreover, these methods inefficiently try to query all the documents. This paper proposes document tittering and query expansion methods that are based on ontology. Using ontology, we construct a universal DTD that can filter off unnecessary documents. Then, query expansion method is developed through the analysis of concept hierarchy and association among concepts. The proposed methods are applied on variety of sample XML documents to test the effectiveness.
