Simple Estimation of Sound Source Directivity in Diffused Acoustic Field: Numerical Simulation (확산음향장에서의 음원 지향성 간이추정: 수치시뮬레이션)

  • The directivity of an underwater sound source should be measured in an acoustically open field such as a calm sea or lake, or an anechoic water tank facility. However, technical difficulties arise when practically implementing this in open fields. Signal processing-based techniques such as a sound intensity method and near-field acoustic holography have been adopted to overcome the problem, but these are inefficient in terms of acquisition and maintenance costs. This study established a simple directivity estimation technique with data acquisition, filtering, and analysis tools. A numerical simulation based on an acoustic radiosity method showed that the technique is practicable for sound source directivity estimation in a diffused reverberant acoustic field like a reverberant water tank.

  • 유동이 있는 경우 발생하는 소음에 대한 실험적 연구는 풍동과 무향실이 결합된 음향풍동에서 수행될 수 있다. 이러한 음향풍동은 팬, 수축부, 수집부, 확산부 그리고 무향실에 주의해서 설계되어야 하고 특히 각 부분에서 발생할 수 있는 이차소음을 최소화하도록 설계되어야 한다. 최종적으로 소음기와 흡음재를 이용해서 팬소음과 이차소음의 전파를 줄인다. 본 음향풍동은 개방형 흡입식(open suction type)으로 시험부에서 유속 62.8m/s, 난류강도 0.1%이하, 배경소음 50-55dB 이하로 설계되었다. 이러한 조건을 만족시키기 위하여 하니콤과 6장의 스크린이 있는 정체실과, 21:1의 수축비를 갖는 수축부를 이용하여 난류강도를 낮추고, 흡음재와 90도 각도의 모서리 그리고 공명형과 소산형 소음기로 소음의 전파를 줄였다.

Comparison of Acoustic Performance Depending on the Location of Sound Absorptive and Diffuser in Small Auditoriums Using 1/10 Scale Models (1/10 축소모형을 이용한 소공연장의 흡음재와 확산체의 적용위치에 따른 음향성능 비교)

  • This study investigated how the location of sound absorptive materials and sound diffusers affects the acoustic performance of small auditoriums. It was conducted for a standard model established with the averaged dimension of 36 auditoriums which had opened since 2000 in Daehak-ro, Seoul. In this study, the installation area of finishing materials was calculated upon a back wall which had the smallest installation effective area of finishing materials. To analyze the changes of acoustic performance according to installation location of finishing materials, experiments were carried out using the 1/10 down scale models for 8 cases which were made by classifying the installation location of ceiling and side wall into the front, middle and rear part.The used acoustic parameters were reverberation time (RT), early decay time (EDT), clarity (C80), definition (D50) and speech transmission index (STI). In result, the index related to the amount of reverberant sound (RT, EDT) showed the great changes when evaluating it through just noticeable difference (JND), but the one related to clarity (C80, D50, STI) hardly indicated the changes. In case to obtain short reverberation time, it was most effective to control reverberation time through the side walls when installing sound absorptive and diffusive materials, and side wall front was the location which could get the shortest reverberation time.

A Study on Room Acoustic Field Analysis using Radiosity Method (라디오시티법을 이용한 실내 음향장 해석 연구)

  • Various numerical methods have been adopted for indoor noise assessments of ship plant. Acoustical radiosity method is one of the high frequency approaches for acoustic field analysis, which assumes diffuse reflections by boundaries so that it could be efficiently applied to the acoustically diffused indoor space noise analysis. In this study, an acoustic field analysis program has been developed based on radiosity method, which could apply for acoustically large enclosures such as ship's indoor space. For this purpose, the procedure of the acoustical radiosity method has been summarized and implemented to an acoustic field analysis program using MATLAB. Numerical example for a rectangular indoor space has investigated validity of the implemented program. Steady state sound pressure levels calculated for a continuous acoustic source signal have shown good agreement with those by other solutions such as an analytic solution and a ray tracing method. Instantaneous sound pressure levels calculated for an impulsive acoustic signal have provided the clues of direct/reflected acoustic field and reverberation time.

  • 액체추진제 로켓엔진 연소실에는 고유모드에 대응하는 음향파동이 내재되며 이러한 음향파동은 연소와의 상호작용을 통하여 불안정한 음향에너지를 공급받아 증폭되며 결국에는 연소불안정 상태에까지 이르게 된다. 이와 같은 불안정한 상태에 이르기 위해서는 연소로부터 되먹임되는 불안정 에너지의 양이 충분히 크고 구동 음향파동에 근접한 위상을 가져야 한다. 이와 같은 구동 메커니즘을 구성하는 상세한 물리적 현상들을 규명하고 예측하기 위한 많은 연구들이 보고되었으며, 이들 중 이론적인 시간 지연 모델을 사용하는 음향적인 방법은 매우 경제적인 반면 연소 현상에 대한 상세한 모사가 생략되어 연소 불안정의 구체적인 원인을 규명하는데 어려움이 있고, 파동 방정식에 의하여 연소실 내부의 파동 에너지 증가를 예측하는 방법은 연소기 내에서의 연소 메커니즘에 대한 고려 없이 연소에 의해 발생하는 에너지만을 포함하는 단점과 선형적인 연소 불안정에만 제한된다는 제한이 있다. 음향장과 커플된 기화반응 모델은 분무액적의 기화 과정이 추진제 연소의 지배과정이라는 가정 하에 연소응답을 기화반응으로 대체하는 방법으로, 역시 단시간 내에 결과를 얻을 수 있다는 장점이 있으나 기화반응으로부터 음향파동으로의 에너지 되먹임 과정이 배제되어 있어 정확한 결과를 구하기는 어렵다. 이에 대하여 최근에는 전산 모사적인 방법을 사용하는 대규모의 연소장 해석이 가능하여 짐으로써 음향파동에 의한 외란과 에너지 되먹임과정을 모두 포하마여 수치적인 방법을 사용하여 계산하는 액체추진제 로켓엔진의 고주파 연소불안정 해석방법들이 제시되고 있다.안정성 모드가 있음을 보였다. 밀도 변화가 있는 경우나 밀도 변화가 없는 경우 모두 sinuous 모드의 가장 불안정한 모드가 varicose 모드의 가장 불안정한 모드보다 더 불안정함을 보여주어 후류 유동은 자유 유동에 가까운 위상 속도를 가지는 sinuous 모드에 의해 지배될 것임을 예측할 수 있다. 연소반응이 완전연소에 가까울수록 그리고 압축성 효과가 클수록 유동내부의 온도가 증가하고 점성 또한 증가하여 후류유동은 안정됨을 알 수 있었다 유동변수들의 contour로부터 유동의 특성을 예측한 결과 baroclinic 항이 dilatational 항보다 상대적으로 크며, 중심선 상하에 생기는 vortex를 더욱 성장시킬 것으로 생각된다.냉각 홀의 막임, 연소 입자의 점착 부위 등을 예측하여 보완책을 준비할 수 있도록 하였다.$mm^2$sec였으며, 이는 다른 graphite/epixy 복합재의 확산계수와 유사한 값을 나타내고 있다. 또한 추진제가 충전된 연소관을 절단하여 밀폐한 후 95%RH 습도 조건에 보관함으로써 연소관 내부의 추진제 기계적 특성에 미치는 침투된 습기의 영향도 함께 고찰하였다. 추진제에 따라 차이는 있겠으나 추진제가 충전된 연소관은 순수 복합재 연소관에 비해 습기의 투과 정도가 작으며, 본 연소관에 충전된 RDX/AP계 추진제의 경우 추진제의 습기투과에 의한 추진제 물성 변화는 미미한 것으로 나타났다.의 향상으로, 음성개선에 효과적이라고 사료되었으며, 이 방법이 편측 성대마비 환자의 효과적인 음성개선의 치료방법의 하나로 응용될 수 있으리라 생각된다..

Effects of the Complexity of 3D Modeling on the Acoustic Simulations and Auralized Sounds (3D 모델의 구체성이 건축음향 시뮬레이션 및 가청화시재에 미치는 영향)

  • The present study examined the effects of the complexity of the 3D models on the results of acoustic simulation which is the predominant tool of the acoustical design of buildings. Also, the effects of the 3D model on the auralized sounds were investigated. In order to carry out the study, four 3D models with different levels of complexity were introduced for a real auditorium which have different numbers of surfaces in the persuit of the guidance of odeon room acoustic software. The set-up of models was also based on the level of transition order of the program. And the acoustic experiments were performed measuring room acoustic parameters including SPL, RT, C80, D50. Acoustic computer simulations were performed using four different models. Then, the results of the computer modeling were compared with the measured acoustical parameters. In addition, sound sources were recorded in the field and auralized sounds were made in convolution with the impulse source made from acoustic modeling. Then, subjective tests were undertaken using auralized sounds. As the results, it was found that the result of the acoustic simulation were closer to the real room acoustic properties when 3D model was more particularly made. For the subjective test, the listening materials were acknowledged as similar with the real sound source when more complex 3D model was used. Then, it could be concluded that the complexity of the 3D model affects the results of the acoustic modeling as well as subjective tests.

Sound Absorption Material Using Aluminum Sash (알루미늄 새시를 이용한 흡음구조)

  • 다양한 공연장 및 대공간에서의 실내음향 제어를 위해서는 실내마감재료의 흡음 및 확산성능을 제어할 수 있는 재료가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이를 위해 알루미늄 새시를 이용한 흡음구조를 개발하였으며, 흡음특성을 조사하기 위하여 수직입사 흡음계수와 잔향실법 흡음계수를 측정하였다. 수직입사 흡음계수 측정결과 알루미늄 다목적 흡음재의 타공구조와 인서트에 의해 형성되는 공간이 공명형 흡음기의 역할을 하여 중.저주파수 대역의 흡음계수가 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 잔향실법 흡음계수 측정결과 알루미늄 새시를 이용한 흡음구조의 형성에 따라 공명주파수 대역보다 낮은 중저주파수 대역의 흡음계수가 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 공기층 증가에 따라 공명주파수 이상 대역에서의 흡음률은 증가되고 주파수 대역별 흡음계수 편차도 감소되는 것으로 나타났으며, 고주파수 대역의 흡음률 향상을 위한 방안이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of the Cryogenic Nitrogen Injection of Swirl Injector using POD and DMD (POD와 DMD를 이용한 와류형 분사기의 극저온 질소 분무 동적 특성 분석)

  • The cryogenic nitrogen spray of a swirl injector has been numerically investigated using three dimensional LES turbulence model to analyze the dynamic characteristics under supercritical condition. To predict the precise nitrogen properties under supercritical condition, SRK equation of state, Chung's method for viscosity and thermal conductivity and Takahashi's correlation based on Fuller's theory for diffusion coefficient are implemented. The complex flow structures due to interaction between flow field and acoustic field are observed inside and outside the injector under supercritical condition. FFT, POD, and DMD techniques are employed to understand the coherent structures. By implementing the FFT, the dominant frequencies are identified inside and outside the injector. The coherent flow structures related to the dominant frequencies are visualized using the POD and DMD techniques. In addition, the DMD provides the damping coefficient which is related with the instability prediction.

Toward Cinema for All People -Barrier-free Films and Cultural Civil Rights ('더 많은' 모두를 위한 영화 -배리어프리 영상과 문화적 시민권)

  • Barrier-free films enhance accessibility to audiovisual image contents by providing specific information on screen and through sound so that people with vision or hearing loss can receive the same amount of information as those without disabilities and immerse themselves in the audiovisual images. This study pays attention to barrier-free audiovisual contents in relation to the cultural civil rights of people with vision or hearing loss in South Korea. While institutional efforts have been made in the 2010s to improve the access to audiovisual media of people with vision or hearing loss, the goal of enabling people with vision or hearing loss to fully enjoy all audiovisual contents at a level equal to the non-disabled has not yet been realized. Amid the lingering conflict between disabled groups and multiplexes that has lasted years, the global video streaming service Netflix has aggressively threatened the dominance of local multiplexes with the launch of its Korean service. As Netflix, which is subject to U.S. regulations guaranteeing the rights of people with vision or hearing loss, has produced original dramas and movies involving Korean production teams, the cultural civil rights discourse of the disabled has transitioned to the issue of the rights of cultural consumers crossing national borders in the era of globalization. Changes in the media environment raise the issue of civil rights guarantees in which disabled people enjoy the right to simultaneously watch movies and comment on movies by participating in a common discourse, equally with non-disabled people. The "right to be part of the audience for Korean cinema" for Korean deaf people, which has long been neglected, should also be considered as a cultural civil right that crosses the boundaries of language, nation and disabilities. This essay examines the current issues surrounding the right to cultural entertainment of people with vision or hearing loss in South Korea in conjunction with the contemporary trend of rapid changes in the media environment and the global spread of the movement for cultural civil rights of people with disabilities, and suggests the need for visual culture studies to take a serious step toward disability studies.
