화침은 오행 침법 중의 하나로써 다양한 질환에서 매우 효과적으로 작용하며, 최근 한의학계에서 많은 주목을 받고 있기도 하다. 본 연구의 목적은 화침의 중추신경질환 유래의 보행 장애에 미치는 효과를 평가하기 위한 것으로, 몇가지 임상증례를 통하여 분석하였다. 환자를 맥의 형태에 따라 5가지 유형으로 나누어 치료하였고, 치료 후 대부분 증상이 빠른 속도로 회복되었으며 다른 사람의 도움이 필요 없이 자가 보행이 가능하게 되었다. 이러한 결과들은 화침이 중추신경계질환의 보행 장애 환자에게 좋은 효과와 아울러 보행 장애에 대한 화침의 잠재적 가능성을 보여준다.

The theory of Hwa Acupuncture Therapy (HAT), called Hwa Chim Therapy, is a part of the Five Elements Theory unique to Korea. HAT, created and developed by Jaehoon Song, integrates the victor-vanquished as well as the son-mother relationship of the Five Elements of breakdown and restoration of balance between yin and yang. And also, it provides resources and data on The seventy fifth Difficulty(75難) of Classic on Difficulty - Nan Jin 75. HAT establishes objectiveness and accuracy of diagnosis based upon the traditional method and procedure of pulse taking. In HAT, a person's state of illness is diagnosed by applying the comparative examination of the palpitation of the pulse. It is fact that the pulse varies according to the state, and that HAT treatment has proven the positive results by using the victor-vanquished relationship of Classic on Difficulty-Nan Jin 75. Despite a concise and simple theory, Hwa Chim is very effective in treating a wide range of illnesses, and thus it has gained an increasing attention of many scholars and practitioners in the field of traditional Korean oriental medicine. However, it is the first theoretical attempt to the clinical research and scientific methodology of Ohaeng Hwa Chim, and more active Hwa Acupuncture R&D is being conducted nationwide.

연구목적 : 선양낭성암은 모든 두경부 종양에서 불과 1% 미만의 희소암으로, 본 논문에서는 하악 선양낭성암 기원의 간에 전이성 거대 종양을 가진 증례를 통해 선양낭성암에서의 한방 치료의 유효성평가와 함께 이에 대한 계속적인 연구를 유도해내는 계기로 삼고자 한다. 연구방법 : 본 연구에서는 한약물치료, 침치료, CT검사 및 혈액학적 검사를 포함한 모든 치료와 검사결과를 추적 조사하였다. 치료로 청간탕과 화침법을 사용하였으며, 청간탕은 1일 3회 복용, 화침은 월 1회 시술하였다. 또한, 혈액학적 검사는 월 1회 하였으며, CT검사는 19개월간의 치료기간 중 2회에 걸쳐 수행되어졌다. 연구결과 : 재검사시의 CT소견과 내원당시의 CT소견을 비교하였을 때, 큰 변화가 없이 잘 유지하였으며, 비록 일부의 혈액학적 검사소견이 약간 악화되었지만, 환자의 주증상은 빠르게 경감되었다. 결론 : 본 증례는 진행성 선양낭성암 환자에게서 한방치료가 삶의 질 개선과 생존을 향상을 위한 고식적 목적의 치료에 유용하게 사용되어질 수 있는 가능성을 제시해 준다.

Objectives : Aim of this study was to investigate the antihypertensive effect of Korean Hwa-Acupuncture in hypertensive patients. Methods: We measured the blood pressure of 14 patients who were admitted in the Oriental Medical Clinic of Balance & Harmony Korean Acupuncture Association from 25th March 2006 to 21th July 2006. Eligible participants had systolic blood pressure ${\geq}120mmHg$ diastolic blood $pressure{\geq}80mmHg$. Blood pressure and pulse rate measurements were after the patient had been bed rest for at least 30 min. 10 times of Hwa-Acupuncture treatment over 3 weeks period were performed in the patiants. To evaluate the effect of the Hwa-Acupuncture, the blood pressure, pulse rate were measured 2 times before and after each acupuncture treatment for total of 10 times. Results : After 3 weeks, there were significant decreased in the systolic blood pressure(P<0.0297) and significant decreased in diastolic blood pressure(P<0.0223) treated by Hwa-Acupuncture 10 times but pulse rate was failed to decreased. The effects of Hwa-Acupuncture by measuring time on blood pressure were as follows : systolic blood pressure were deceased significantly from 1st to 10th visit (P<0.0207) but diastolic blood pressure and pulse rate was not decreased significantly. Conclusion : The results suggest that Hwa-Acupuncture is effective in decreasing the systolic blood pressure.

Symptoms of Psychosomatic disease are various. Mamok(麻木), one of that symptoms, is a kind of sensory disorder and similar to numbness but more complicated. In this report, we described two men diagnosed as psychosomatic disease and undifferentiated somatoform disorder. One complained Mamok of his tongue and the other complained it of his right arm and leg. And both of their symptoms were disappeared quickly after treated by Hwa-acupuncture.

${\alpha}-HIBA$를 용리제로한 양이온 교환 수지통을 사용하여 철, 코발트, 니켈, 이트륨 및 희토류 원소와 같은 여러가지 금속의 공존이온으로 부터 티탄, 니오브 및 지르코늄을 함께 분리하는 방법을 발전시켰다. 본 연구의 결과 르코늄의 꼬리끌기현상은 용리전에 행한 수산화침전에 기인하고 있음을 알았다. 예를 들면 지르코늄을 수산화나트륨으로 침전시킬때 다른 저자들의 보고와는 달리 지르코늄은 심한 꼬리끌기현상을 나타냄을 알았다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 꼬리끌기현상을 없애고 또한 이 이온들을 함께 분리하기 위한 목적으로 이온교환법을 적용하였다. 본 방법을 사용한 결과 조사된 지르코늄으로부터 생성된 $^{90m}Y$와 $^{90}Y$을 방사화학적 순도로 분리할 수 있었다.

Objectives : Polymyositis is non-hereditary, autoimmune rheumatic disease, and one of the idiopathic inflammatory myopathy. It is characterized by progressive symmetrical proximal muscle weakness. Major clinical signs and symptoms of polymyositis are chronic non-suppurative inflammatation of skeletal muscle, elevation of muscle enzyme, and electromyographical changes. By use of Korean medicine treatments, muscle weakness and normalize muscle enzyme can be improved in case of polymyositis. Methods : A Patient, 32 years old, whom diagnosed with polymyositis on muscle biopsy and electromyographical changes, had medical treatments with Corticosteroids and Immunosuppressants, but no improvement was noted. She was treated with Korean Medicine, especially Ohaeng-Hwa Acupuncture(五行和 鍼法) and Ssanghwa-Tang(雙和湯) for three months period. Results : With Korean Medicine treatment of polymyositis for three months, most of her clinical signs and symptoms have been improved significantly, especially her muscle weakness and muscle enzyme level. Conclusion : This case has been reported to show that Korean medicine treatments have positive effects on polymyositis.
