A generating samples method for multiple object tracking using motion histogram (다중 물체 추적에서의 모션 히스토그램을 이용한 샘플 생성 기법)

  • 물체 추적시스템은 비디오 감시 시스템, 화상회의 시스템과 같은 다양한 비전 응용 분야에서 점점 비중이 높아지고 있다. 이 시스템에서 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 방법 중 하나로 Particle-Filter를 들 수 있다. 하지만, 이 Particle-Filter의 단점은 유사한 여러 물체를 추적할 때에 그 물체들이 겹치거나 사라질 경우 정확한 추적을 하기 어렵다는 것이다. 이 단점을 극복하기 위해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 본 논문에서는 이 문제를 극복하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 다중 물체 추적에서 빈번히 일어나는 문제는 두 가지로 요약할 수 있는데, 동일한 다중 물체가 부분적으로 엇갈리거나 다른 객체에 완전히 겹친 후 떨어질 때 한 물체를 중복하여 추적하는 문제(merge and split problem)와 이 때 분리되어 추적은 됐지만, 물체를 혼동하여 추적하는 문제(Labeling problem)이다. 본 논문에서는 이 러한 문제들을 풀기 위해 이미지 필드에서 보다 정확한 확률분포를 만들고, 이 확률분포의 신뢰성을 높이기 위해서 물체의 특징정보를 표현하는 몇 가지 방법을 제안한다. 전자의 문제는 두 가지 문제로 나누어 생각해 보았다. 첫째, 복잡환 환경에서의 분포를 찾아내는 것과 둘째, 추적 중인 물체를 잃어버릴 경우 새로운 샘플을 생성함으로써 나누어 보았다. 이 문제 중 첫번째는 K-means 클러스터링을 이용하여 유사한 물체가 주변에 퍼져 있을 때, 하나의 후보 위치가 아닌, K개의 후보 위치들을 만들어 내어 보다 정확한 추적이 가능하게 하였으며, 두 번째 문제는 추적 중인 물체가 다른 커다란 물체에 가려질 경우이다. 이 상황에서 샘플을 생성하는 방법은 지금까지 해왔던 간단한 환경에서의 생성 범위와는 다르게 넓게 해야 생성시켜야 한다. 이 때 샘플링의 수를 늘리지 않으면서, 최대한 정확하게 추적하기 위해서 동영상에서 물체의 모션을 이용한 모션 히스토그램을 얻어내고, 그 정보를 이용하여 샘플을 생성하는 위치를 조절함으로써 이 문제를 풀어 보았다. 그리고, 후자의 문제인 이미지 필드상에서 확률분포의 신뢰성을 높이기 위한 특징 정보는 기존에 많이 사용하던 칼라 히스토그램에 공간정보의 의미를 부여하는 칼라 히스토그램을 분할하는 방법과 SIFT에서 사용하는 방향정보와 크기정보를 사용했다. 이것들을 사용하여 보다 정확한 물체추적시스템을 다음과 같이 제안한다.

Implementation of Real-time Sound-location Tracking Method using TDoA for Smart Lecture System (스마트 강의 시스템을 위한 시간차 검출 방식의 실시간 음원 추적 기법 구현)

  • Tracking of sound-location is widely used in various area such as intelligent CCTV, video conference and voice commander. In this paper we introduce the real-time sound-location tracking method for smart lecture system using TDoA(Time Difference of Arrival) with orthogonal microphone array on the ceiling. Through discussion on some models of TDoA detection, cross correlation method using linear microphone array is proposed. Orthogonal array with 5 microphone could detect omni direction of sound-location. For real-time detection we adopt the threshold of received energy for eliminating no-voice interval, signed cross correlation for reducing computational complexity. The detected azimuth angles are processed using median filter for lowering the angle deviation. The proposed system is implemented with high performance MCU of TMS320F379D and MEMs microphone module and shows the accuracy of 0.5 and 6.5 in degree for white noise and lectured voice, respectively.

A Study on the Web Based Collaborative Learning Systems (웹기반 협동학습시스템의 활용에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand students' use intentions of Web Based Collaborative Learning (WBCL) system. To meet this purpose, we developed a research model based on the Decomposed TPB. This model contains 5 influencing factors: Explicit social influence(EXSI) and Implicit social influence(IMSI), Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived easy of use(PEOU), Perceived Playfulness(PP). Data was collected 254 university students from two different institutions. Also, the analysis is conducted to do the hypothesis testing by using PLS 3.0. The result shows that influence factors except PEOU have a important and significant impact on user Behavior Intention(BI). Using WBCL system and learning tool, team leader(that is referent) and members can be a good interaction. For these same reasons, We found that especialy Explicit social influence(EXSI) and Implicit social influence(IMSI) are special influence factors in reference group.

An SMS Notarization System Using Smartphones (스마트폰을 활용한 SMS 공증 시스템)

  • Although it's been nearly decade since the electronic notarization system enforced, the utilization is not high because of the troublesomeness of the client or his agent to visit the notarial office directly. Recently, the ministry of justice introduced e-notary based on audio-visual conference through amendament of the notarial law, and hence it will vitalize the usage of e-notary. In addition, due to the spread of smartphones, many people use SMS messages to express simple statements or promises. However, in case of legal disputes, the judgment of the court is different according to the case. The electronic notarization system can be used to prove of evidence of SMS messages, however, there is a hassle to convert SMS messages to electronic documents. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an SMS notarization system using smartphones. The proposed system uses reliable notarization server and it is divided into notarization system for message senders and notarization system for message receivers according to notary requestor.

  • VSATs(Very Small Aperture Terminals) have introduced new concepts in satellite business communications and are typically used in a star network configuration to provide information directly to the user`s premise. The characteristics of this system are low earth station costs, easy in stallation, compact, and very high flexibility for a varierty of applications (Credit Checks, Electronic Mail, Video Conferencing, Reservation System, Database Inquires, Order Entry, etc.). So, the requests of VSAT service have considerably enlarged. The link design of a VSAT network using Korea Sat. is discussed in this paper. This paper is intended to collect in a convient way the principle formula and reference data necessary to make overall performance calcurations and to calcurate antenna size. HPA power size and link margin of earth stations for satellite communications systems. Generally, because the antenna size of the Hub station in the VSAT system is bigger than the Remote station, the method of power allocations of inbound and outbound carriers is utilized in this paper. The size of Hub station and Remote station are assumed to be 3.7m and 1.2m. respectively.

  • The Noise of CR Systems is made up of X-ray quantum mottle and additional Imaging plate's structure noise, photon noise of lumine cence, noise of electrometer, quantization noise etc. In this Regius 150 system, SNR was increased from 8.2 to 30 with linearily according to radiation dose from 0.1 mR to 100 mR. It means that the Regius 150 system has enough trustability because of SNR is over 5 by Rose Model. NPS was calculated two dementional Fourier Transform with shake of pixel value in the white Image. In the spatial frequence range of $0.5\;lp/mm{\sim}2.5\;lp/mm$, the NPS was distributed $10^{-4}{\sim}10^{-5}$ at 1 mR X-ray dose. That is similar result compare other systems to that of Kodak CR system reported by Carlu, HR-CR system reported by Dobbins.

  • A process control graphic system is proposed as an efficient tool for monitoring the operation of power plant. It uses the multi-processor structure with 60 Kbyte shared memory as an implemental type of the distributed computer system, so that it is flexible, functionally extensible, and applicable to real-time process. The shared memory is used as a real-time database handling the process values and operator's commands. The database files, generated by the user-interactive graphic editor developed for the system or text editor, have the characteristics of simplicity and user-friendliness. The process control graphic system, that can monitor the operation of boiler and function as a backup controller in case of failure in boiler controller, is applied to Ulsan power plant. As a result, it displays the operating data of the boiler process without error by 14 pages of color graphic image according to the operation menu, and additionally functions well as a fault-tolerant control system.

  • The person who gets a ALS(Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) has language disability and physical disability together. A common first symptom is a painless weakness in a hand, foot, arm or leg, which occurs in more than half of all cases. Other early symptoms include muscle weakness of speech. In the early stage of this disease they can communicate with other persons, but it will become increasingly difficult. In our research we have designed and implemented communication tools for them. We have implemented Chunjiin(the Korean computer keyboard) at PDA(personal digital assistant). And we have also implemented software which is consisted of frequently used words.

  • Recently, the field of telemedicine is growing rapidly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the cost of telemedicine services is relatively high, since cloud computing, video conferencing, and cyber security should be considered. Therefore, in this paper, we design and implement a cost-effective P2P-based telemedicine system. It is implemented using the widely used the open source computing platform, Raspberry Pi, and P2P network that frees users from security problems such as the privacy leakage by the central server and DDoS attacks resulting from the server/client architecture and enables trustworthy identifying connection system using SSL protocol. Also it enables users to check the other party's status including body temperature in real time by installing a thermal imaging camera using Raspberry Pi. This allows several medical diagnoses that requires visual aids. The proposed telemedicine system will popularize telemedicine service and meet the ever-increasing demand for telemedicine.

  • The number of development in educational software is currently decreasing despite rapid improvement in computer technology. This is partly due to the fact that the current software relies on the conventional hypermedia method or on the hierarchical method, both of which have inherent limitations. To compensate their limitations while keeping their merits, a hybrid method called the structured hypermedia link method has recently been proposed in the literature. It has been found that the structured hypermedia link method is far superior than the conventional methods in terms of educational effectiveness because it can help a learner to search various data by navigating between the study topics on his own while maintaining his level of cognitively overloaded stress to the minimum. The clinical microbiology laboratories were chosen as the candidate site for this study because its educational system has not been standardized and has been relying heavily on the personal experience. In this study, the hypermedia link method was applied to the development of an education system for the image analysis in clinical microbiology laboratories. For this purpose, a web-based computer aided instruction(CAI) program was designed to systematically organize the Gram stain method based on the standardized image data. In the future, CAI program must be intended to educate for beginner and developed to accept for variable knowledge. And it will be useful program for technicians in case of applying various examinations based Gram stain method of this study.
