Estimating Value of Time for Freight Transportation in Freight Items using Logit Model (로짓모형을 이용한 화물 품목별 화물운송 시간가치 산정 연구)

  • Travel time reduction is a benefit in economic analysis. Freight transportation time reduction benefits influence the logistics industry. The objectives of this paper are to estimate the Value of Time (VOT) for transportation time reduction with logit methodology. The data of Gyeonggi-do's domestic road freight transport in 2007 are used. VOT was estimated for five commodities. An average VOT of 19,946 won/vehicle-hr was calculated; transport of electronic parts had the highest VOT. This study will help provide direction for improving Korea's road infrastructure for freight.

화물자동차운송산업(貨物自動車運送産業)에 대한 정부규제(政府規制)의 개선방안(改善方案)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 우리나라 화물자동차운송산업(貨物自動車運送産業)에 대한 각종 정부규제(政府規制)의 문제점(問題點)과 개선방안(改善方案)을 제시하였다. 주요 개선방안으로서는 사업구성제한(事業區城制限)의 폐지(廢止), 사업공탁금제도(事業供託金制度)의 도입(導入)을 통한 면허제도(免許制度)의 개선(改善), 톤급에 의한 업종구분(業種區分)의 폐지(廢止) 등을 제시하였다. 종합적으로 고찰해 볼 때, 현재의 업계관항(業界慣行)은 이미 높은 경쟁상태에 도달하여 있으며, 정부의 비현실적인 규제가 오히려 건전한 경쟁질서(競爭秩序)의 확립에 장애(障碍)가 되고 있다고 할 수 있다. 따라서, 정부규제(政府規制)가 현실의 시장상황(市場狀況)과 사업자들의 합리적(合理的) 사업욕구(事業欲求)를 따라가지 못하고 있다고 말할 수 있으며, 화물자동차운송산업(貨物自動車運送産業)에 있어서의 정부규제개선(政府規制改善)이란 정부규제(政府規制)의 현실화(現實化)로 표현할 수 있을 것이다. 또한, 지입제(持?制)의 억제(抑制), 직관기업화(直管企業化)의 추진(推進)등의 정책목표(政策目標)의 타당성(妥當性)과 정책수단(政策手段)의 실효성(實效性)에 대한 근본적인 재검토가 필요하다고 하겠다.

  • 차량화물은 국내 품목별 수출물량의 2위를 차지하는 수출화물로(현재 2007년 상반기), 한미 FTA 이후 수출물량이 점차 더 증가할 것으로 예상되어 그 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 이러한 수출 차량화물을 해상운송하는 Car Carrier업체(차량화물 운송전문 업체)의 효율적인 수출업무 처리를 위해, 실시간으로 변하는 정보를 효과적으로 표현 및 변경이 가능하고, 운송계획에 필요한 관련 정보를 제공받을 수 있는 시스템이 필요하다. 그러나 현재 대부분의 Car Carrier업체는 작업자의 경험에 의존한 수작업으로 운송계획을 수립하는 문제점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 Car Carrier업체의 해상운송계획 수립 시 의사결정을 효율적으로 지원할 수 있도록 사용자 인터페이스를 강화한 RIA(Rich Internet Application)기반의 자동차 해상운송계획시스템을 설계 및 개발하고자 한다.

  • To revitalize the trucking market, many studies are being done but it still has a lot of problems such as imbalance between supply and demand, poor profit structure of truck owners, ect. Therefore, it aims to study what kinds of prerequisite are needed to solve these problems through analyzing system structure and mechanism of the market. To achieve it, System Dynamics methodology, appropriate to make a simulation model and analyze dynamics of the system, is utilized. To obtain an empirical research point of view, time series data related on trucking market-provided by The Korea Transport Institute-are used. In addition, interview with a local representative logistics company and a ICD(Inland Container Depot) operation company is performed to find out technical and functional supporting factors to solve the existing problems in the market.

A study on Freight-only-lane and Freight-only-highway Policies Implemented in the Incheon City (인천항 배후지역의 화물차 전용도로망 구축에 관한 연구)

  • Heavy truck traffic causes serious damage to not only environment condition due to the emissions but also pavement condition. In Incheon city area, the highways of the port hinterland suffer from similar problems. Therefore, it is required to develop a policy to solve those problems, which should be under the collective agreement of the truck drivers, local residents, and policy makers. This paper compared the truck traffic volumes and re-pavement construction history for last 4 years and showed the real effect of the heavy truck traffic on the pavement. Furthermore, this study examined the pros and cons of the exclusive truck lane and truck only highway policies and conducted a survey of truck drivers, local residents, and policy makers. Each group showed different preferences for the policies particularly for the question asking the best implementable policy.

A Study on the Management Model of Domestic Freight Company Using Structural Equations (구조 방정식을 활용한 국내 화물자동차 회사의 경영모델 연구)

  • This paper presented a management model for continuous development and co-prosperity between freight car transportation companies and consigned car owners, which are the subjects of the consignment system. A structural equation-based questionnaire was created to measure the variables necessary for establishing a management model, such as business owners' perceptions of each other and their needs for improvement, by analyzing the internal and external environment of the freight transport market and conducting surveys of freight companies and consigned vehicle owners. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the rationality of the consignment system did not have a significant effect on financial performance or the level of transportation service, while the external environment and compensation system of the transportation business had a significant impact on financial performance and level of transportation service. In addition, the rationality of the consignment system does not affect the improvement of the relationship between project entities, but it does affect the level of trust. It was confirmed that the external environment and compensation system of the transport business have an effect on both relationship improvement and trust level improvement. It was found that the level of trust affects financial performance, and relationship improvement does not affect both financial performance and transportation service level. It is necessary to manage the consignment system based on the confirmed analysis results in order for the domestic freight company and the consigned vehicle owner to coexist and develop each other in the truck transportation market.

A Freight Company Management Model based on Perception Difference between Freight Company and Consigned Vehicle Owners (화물자동차 회사와 위수탁차주의 인식차이에 기반한 화물자동차 운송회사 경영모델)

  • This paper identified the difference in perception of the consignment system between the freight company and the consigned vehicle owners, derived factors that urgently need to improve the difference in perception, and presented the basis for establishing a management model based on this. A management model based on the difference in perception of consigned borrowers was established, and research hypotheses were established to conduct reliability, validity, and confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis, and mediation effect verification. As a result of the analysis, out of 58 questions, 56 of the total 65 questions showed a difference in perception of the consignment system between trucking companies and consigned vehicle owners, and the questions were input as management model factors. As a result of conducting confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis, and mediating effect verification using only recognition data, 5 hypotheses were adopted, and it was analyzed that the factor had no mediating effect. It can be analyzed that the appropriateness of the compensation system affects the improvement of each other's relationship, and the improvement of each other's relationship leads to the improvement of transportation services. However, since the mediating effect was rejected because it was not significant, this effect should not be exaggerated.
