Message Framing Effect in Political Publicity Campaign: Focused on Prospect Theory (정치홍보 캠페인의 메시지 프레이밍 효과: 전망이론을 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted with the aim of presenting a strategic implication for effective political campaign in the election situation which is held almost every year including the early presidential election. For this purpose, the $2{\times}2{\times}2$ triad experiment design of framing, involvement, political efficacy. The result shows that the main effect of framing and political efficacy was found, but the main effect of involvement was not shown. And also a result of two-way ANOVA, the interaction between framing and involvement was significant, but the interaction effect between framing and political efficacy was not significant. In addition, the three-way interaction effects of framing, involvement, and political efficacy were also significant. This study suggests that prospect theory is not often used to test the effects of political campaign messages and suggests new perspectives on political campaign strategies by introducing the prospect theory into election campaign message research.

  • This research is based on the purpose of awaking the importance to publicity of terrorism prevention in the environment of neo-terrorism and presenting the direction of effective publicity activities of terrorism prevention in the counter-terrorism system. Government publicity through public media plays a significant role in promoting people's participation and improving the awareness. So, to strengthen the terrorism prevention in environmental changes of terror occurrence, active method available for people must be found as publicity method of terrorism prevention suitable for high information society. For this method, this research argued first about relationship between police organization and public as counter-terrorism system and about effective publicity methods of terrorism prevention through active erection of these relationships. This research suggested the operation method through introduction of e-CRM and etc, with ultimate purpose about maximizing the publicity effect of terrorism prevention by using as the advantage of internet these days as possible. And needs of information service activities and other administration strategies of publicity of terrorism prevention are suggested through enlarging the distribution scope of governmental counter-terrorism information materials by strengthening the national publicity activities and using media.

A Study on the Influence of the Admission Promotion Method of Korea Polytechnic University on the Admission Competition (한국폴리텍대학의 입학 홍보방식이 입시 경쟁률에 미치는 영향)

  • This study The study analyzed the effect of the advertisement method of admission at Korea Polytechnic University on the competition rate for entrance to university. A total of 66 questionnaires were analyzed among freshmen and undergraduates at Korea Polytechnic University in Seoul. The first study revealed that the ground promotion (p<.01, ${\beta}=.363$) had an effect on the competition rate, with the ground promotion having a statistical effect on the competition rate and therefore having a significant competitive edge. Second, it was analyzed that the ground promotion and registration rates were correlated to the $p{\times}.01$ level with the. 297 level of media promotion and registration rates. Third, although the motivation for knowing the junior high school records and the Korean Polytechnic University did not significantly affect the registration rates, it was found that there were group differences because the admission patterns were higher than usual on time. This study analyzes the effect of the admission promotion method on the competition rate of the university, identifying the importance of ground advertisement, media promotion to the competition rate and registration rate, and identifying the effectiveness of characteristic factors.

  • 우리에게 미국시장은 매우 중요하다. 따라서 최근에 미국시장에서 일어나고 있는 한국과의 통상마찰은 우리가 적극적이고 슬기롭게 대처해 나가야 할 부분이다. 이러한 문제에 대한 대안으로 통상로비 전략의 구축은 중요한 통상마찰의 해소 방안이 될 수 있다. 지금까지 논의한 통상로비에 관한 이론과 외국의 대미(對美)로비 실태파악과 우리의 로비전략을 살펴보았다. 여기에서는 앞에서 언급한 한국의 대(對)미 통상로비전략을 간단하게 요약하여 정리해 봄으로써 연구 결론을 내리고자한다. 즉, 통상로비전략을 네 가지 차원으로 나누어 설명하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 기본전략으로써 미국에 관한 철저연구와 우리주장의 논리적 타당성을 얻기 위해서 문화홍보에 역점을 두어야 하고 대중 동원형(Grass Roots)로비를 효율적으로 전개할 필요성이 있다. 둘째, 정부의 대응전략으로 미국내 한국에 대한 여론조사를 실시하여 한국의 이미지와 그러한 인식이 생성된 배경의 파악이 중요하다. 한국 내에서의 대미(對美)로비를 중시하여 한국에 파견된 미국대사관 직원, 해외방송, 신문, 특파원에 대한 한국 홍보강화와 해외 홍보기금조성을 통하여 정부차원에서 해외홍보를 적극 권장하고, 정부부처간이나 기업 간에 연락 및 협력을 강화한다든지 민간기업의 로비를 간접지원 하는데 노력해야 할 것이다. 셋째, 업계단체의 대응전략으로 미국통상에 관련된 최신정보를 신속히 수집하여 이를 파악하고 관련된 정보를 전달하는데 힘써야 한다. 그리고 통상마찰의 문제가 발생하기 전에 로비전략을 수립해 놓음으로써 시기적전하고 적당한 대처를 해 나갈 수 있다는 것이다. 업계의 전체의견을 미국의 정부, 의회, 동종 관련단체 등에 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 채널개발의 중요성과 해외경제 홍보센타(가칭)의 설치로 대규모 수출기업과 업계단체간의 해외홍보의 효율성을 올릴 수 있다. 넷째, 민간기업의 대응전략으로는 현지국과의 공존공영을 추구하여 현지국의 경제에 기여하겠다는 기업 시민의식과 현지국 사회활동에 적극 참여하여 한국의 대외 이미지 개선을 위한 적극적인 PR활동과 기업의 최고경영자 차원의 로비활동 추진으로 대미(對美)로비체제를 적극적이며 능동적으로 수행할 수 있도록 하여야 한다.

  • This study was researched by practical method in a subjectivity study accessible in-depth, in sloughing off old habit of functional quantity analysis about acceptance effect of health public advertising. The perception pattern come out in this study were divided into three types in Q-methodology. The result is as follows ; it is that divided '1[(N=9) : Profit & truth type], 2[(N=9) : Profit & Sympathy type], 3[(N=7) : Profit & Prevent education type] '. Like this, it found that is very different type all over. Hereafter, this study is to ascertain acceptance behavior about reception type on acceptance effect of health public advertising ; to offer a developmental suggestion about it.

Analysis of the Effect of Traffic Safety Investment on Traffic Accident Reduction Using Panel Data (패널자료를 이용한 교통안전투자 종류별 사고감소 효과)

  • There are many investment budget drafts in the filed of a road traffic safety. The traffic safety budget is spitted into following three major areas: 1) traffic safety facility (Engineering), 2) traffic enforcement (Enforcement), and 3) traffic safety education & public relation (Education). The three area are known as so-called 3E policy. This study investigates the effect of the investment in the 3E policy on the reduction of traffic accidents analyzing the data annually collected from the 15 local governments during 1992 to 2007. The analysis employing the traffic accidents as the dependent variable reveals that the effect of the investment is higher if same amount of investment is made on areas of the traffic safety education and public relation than the area of facility improvement. The similar conclusions are resulted from the separate investigation of traffic accidents data by 6 different types. All the results consistently indicate that the current traffic safety investment being primarily made on traffic safety facility needs to shift to the areas of traffic safety education and public relation budget.

Suggestions for Utilization of Supporters To Promote Public Libraries (공공도서관 홍보를 위한 서포터즈 활용에 대한 제언)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest for utilization of supporters to promote public libraries. To achieve the study purpose, in-depth interview with nine public library supporters of two public libraries was conducted. The data were analyzed using a qualitative method. The order in which the data analyzed is as follows: segmenting, first coding, in-depth coding, and theme discovery. According to the study results, the followings were suggested for the operation of public library supporters: 1) needed to assign roles based on supporters' capabilities and personal characteristic, 2) needed proactive role by the librarian in charge, 3) needed proactive role by the public library, 4) needed adequate rewards, 5) needed prior education about the public library.

  • 낙농자조금사업의 궁극적인 목표는 우유는 완전식품으로 국민건강, 유아건강, 노후건강을 위해서 꼭 필요한 음식이라는 인식을 많은 국민들에게 심어주는 계기가 되었다. 낙농자조금사업 원년에 가시적인 효과를 거둔 것에 만족하지 말고 앞으로 더 많은 자조금이 모금되고 이를 이용한 우유의 소비촉진 홍보가 더 많이 전개될 것을 바라는 바이다.

  • 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 국내 시장규모는 13조원을 넘어설 것으로 전망되며, 2008년까지는 시장 규모가 17조원을 넘어서는 등 높은 성장세를 이어갈 것으로 예상된다. 국외시장은 2010년까지 연평균 17.8%의 성장률을 보이며 2010년에는 89억 8,900만 달러에 달할 것으로 전망된다. 웹진은 소식을 외부의 이해관계자에게 효과적으로 전달하는 방법으로 오프라인에서는 소식지를 발간하고 온라인에서는 홈페이지의 공지사항 같은 게시판을 사용해 왔으나, 웹진의 등장으로 인해 온라인과 오프라인 두영역에서 동시에 서비스가 가능하며 온라인상에서 소식을 쉽고, 빠르게, 실시간으로 전달할 수 있는 잊점을 가지고 있으며 이를 쉽게 퍼블리싱할 수 있다. AJAX를 이용한 웹 카다로그 시스템은 JAVASCRIP와 XML로 구축이 되어 별도의 뷰어나 플러그인이 필요 없을 뿐만 아니라 자류롭게 줌임/아웃이 가능하여 자세한 정보를 오프라인의 책자나 브로셔와 똑 같은 느낌으로 전달한다. 또한, 온라인 상의 별도의 홍보 책자 브로셔를 제작할 필요가 없으므로 홍보비 절감의 효과를 가져올 수 있다.

Analysis on Character Designs of Universities (대학의 캐릭터 디자인 분석)

  • With the beginning of the 21st century, the rapid change of the environment of education makes the universities eager to develop a new image of themselves (i.e. image marketing). Character, one of the image marketing items, plays an important role for improving the image of universities by connecting the inner members more firmly, preserving the tradition of the university and being used as an advertising instrument. Considering these important roles, universities are focusing on designing character in order to express their identity and image efficiently. In this study, I surveyed the characters of universities and examined that these characters are reflecting the image of their universities, working on unity and harmony of the members and establishing the identity of each university properly. At the same time, I analyzed the relation between characters and symbols of universities. I expect that familiar and identified characters can be an essential element in improving the image of universities by giving visual advertising effects and informing the image of universities distinctively.
