Effect of Refractive Index of Silicon Nidride for High Efficiency Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell

  • 태양전지에서 SiNX층은 반사방지막 역할과 표면 페시베이션의 역할을 동시에 하고 있다. SiNx에서 굴절율과 두께는 반사율과 밀접한 관계가 있으며 동시에 표면 소수캐리어 수명에도 큰 영향을 미친다. 따라서 굴절율과 두께를 조절하여 낮은 반사도와 긴 소수캐리어 수명을 가지는 SiNx 박막을 제조하여야 우수한 효율의 태양전지를 제조할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 굴절율과 두께의 SiNx 박막을 결정질 실리콘 태양전지에 적용하여 효율과의 상관관계를 해석하였다. SiNx 박막은 PECVD장비를 이용하여 RF파워, 가스혼합량, 증착시간 등을 각각 변화시키며 형성하였다. RF 파워는 100~500 W로 변화 시켰고 혼합가스 변화는 SiH4가스와 NH3가스, Ar가스를 각각 주입하며 증착하였다. RF 파워 300W, 가스혼합량 SiH4 90sccm, NH3 26sccm, Ar 99sccm과 기판 온도 $300^{\circ}C$, 공정시간 58초에서 포면 반사율 1.09%와 굴절률 1.965, 두께 76nm를 갖는 SiNx층을 형성 할 수 있었다. SiNx층을 증착하여 셀을 제작한 결과, 개방전압: 0.612V, 전류밀도: 38.49 mA/cm2, 충실도: 75.62%, 효율: 17.82%를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • This paper proposes a hybrid pseudo-noise (PN) code acquisition scheme for Multicarrier Direct Sequence - Code Division Multiple Access (MC DS-CDMA) mobile communication systems on the code acquisition performance for Nakagami-m fading channel. The hybrid acquisition scheme combines parallel search with serial search to cover the whole uncertainty region of the input code phase. It has a much simpler acquisition hardware structure than the total parallel acquisition and can achieve the mean acquisition time (MAT) slightly inferior to that of the total parallel acquisition. The closed-form expressions of the detection and false-alarm probabilities are derived.

Quality characteristics of muffins made with legume and wheat flour blends (두류와 밀 혼합 가루로 제조된 머핀의 품질 특성)

  • In this study, the approximate compositions, color properties, texture properties, physical characteristics, and sensory evaluation of muffins prepared from legumes (mung bean, cowpea, chickpea, or lentil) and wheat flour blends was evaluated. Pasting viscosity of legume flours was lower than that of wheat flour. The moisture, crude ash, and crude protein content of muffins made with legume-wheat flour blends were higher than those of control muffins made exclusively with wheat flour. The lightness value of muffins was decreased by adding legume flour. The hardness of muffins made from legume-wheat flour blends was higher than that of control, whereas springiness and cohesiveness was lower. The weight of muffins made with legume-wheat flour blends were higher than that of control, whereas the height and volume were lower than those of control. The scores of taste, aroma, and texture of muffins were not significantly changed by adding legume flours. The overall acceptability of muffins that were made with lentil or chickpea flour was similar to that of control muffins.

Particle Size Distribution and Rheological Properties of Australian Noodle Flours (호주산 제면용 밀가루의 리올로지 성질과 입도분포)

  • The characteristics of four samples of noodle flours milled from Australian Standard White(ASW) wheat were compared with one sample of noodle flour prepared from a blend of hard red winter(HRW) and western white(WW) American wheats. The ASW flours had lower content of protein and ash. Farinograms revealed that the absorption of the ASW flours was slightly higher than that of the HRW-WW flour. The mixing time, however, showed no difference between ASW flours and HRW-WW flour. The stability and the mechanical tolerance index were different among ASW flours, which were lower than HRW-WW flour. The ratios of resistance to extention determined by extensigraph for ASW flours were higher except one flour than HRW-WW flour. The flours showed characteristic mean particle sizes, which may reflect the differences in hardness of wheat used in the flour production. Farinograph indices showed no correlations with protein content and extensigraph indices. The amylograph peak viscosity was inversely correlated with the protein content (p<0.05).

  • Intelligent vehicle plans motion and navigate itself based on the surrounding environment perception. Hence, the precise environment recognition is an essential part of self-driving vehicle. There exist many vulnerable road users (e.g. vehicle, pedestrians) on vehicular driving environment, the vehicle must percept all the dynamic obstacles accurately for safety. In this paper, we propose an multiple vehicle tracking algorithm using microwave radar. Our proposed system includes various special features. First, exceptional radar measurement model for vehicle, concentrated on the corner, is described by mixture density network (MDN), and applied to particle filter weighting. Also, to conquer the curse of dimensionality of particle filter and estimate the time-varying number of multi-target states, reversible jump markov chain monte carlo (RJMCMC) is used to sampling step of the proposed algorithm. The robustness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated through several computer simulations.

  • A cyclone type electrolytic method was used to recover silver from thiourea-hydrochloric acid mixed solutions. The electrowinning behavior of silver was investigated in different systems, such as the flow rate, current density, silver concentration, thiourea concentration and hydrochloric acid concentration. As the increase of the flow rate, current density and hydrochloric acid concentration, the recovery rate of silver was increased. Whereas, as the increase of silver concentration, the recovery rate of silver was decreased. The thiourea concentration did not affect the Ag recovery and current efficiency. Above 99% of Ag was recovered at the flow rate of 12 L/min., current density of $0.75A/dm^2$, silver concentration of 1.0 g/L, 0.5 M thiourea and 0.1 M hydrochloric acid. In most experimental conditions, silver was recovered as a powder form.

Biological control of Frankliniella occidentalis Pergande by Orius laevigatus (Fieber) and new banker plants on chrysanthomum greenhouse (시설재배 국화에서 꽃노랑총채벌레 방제를 위한 미끌애꽃노린재와 new banker plants의 혼합 적용 효과)

  • This studies by treatment of 25 individual adults of O. laevigatus and Banker plant with different number of eggs of O. laevigatus were conducted to develop new biological control of the western flower thrips (WFT) in chrysanthemum house. In this work, a treatment of 25 individual adults of O. laevigatus, Banker plant with different number of eggs of O. laevigatus and mixed treatment were applied. Initial WFT density per plant were 5 individuals. WFT density was measured every 7days after treatment for 7 weeks. Biological control of WFT by 25 individual adults of O. laevigatus and Banker plant with 25 eggs of O. laevigatus were applied 1 time and resulted in the high control value of thrips 91.8%. The population of WFT was kept under the economic threshold level (1 individual per plant). For the last three years we developed new banker plant system. This system is being developed to improve biological control of WFT on chrysanthemums.

Manufacturing Characteristics of Boards Recycling Waste Wood Particle (폐목재파티클을 이용한 재생보드의 제조특성)

  • The hammer-milled characteristics of waste wood materials such as lumber, plywood, particleboard(PB), MDF and railroad tic were investigated in this study. The physical and mechanical properties of recycled boards according to types of recycled particle and the mixing ratios were also studied. The hammer-milled, waste wood materials had the dimensional distributions suitable for the core layer panicle. Bending strengths of recycled boards (one layer) were shown in order of plywood, PB(laboratory-fabricated with particles used in the PB factory), lumber, tego film-overlaid plywood, MDF, waste railroad tie, PB(factory-made) and LPL-overlaid PB. Cured resin and creosote containing waste wood contributed to dimensional stability of reconstituted boards. Considering the mixing effects between lumber and plywood with recycled PB particle, lumber particle was contributive to bending strength, MOE and internal bond(IB) strength, whereas plywood particle was contributive to dimensional stability. The bending and IB strength of 3 layer boards composing only recycled waste wood particles in core layer of board were in order of lumber, plywood, PB and MDF. On the other hand, the thickness swelling was in order of PB, lumber, plywood and MDF. Bending strength of the 3 layer boards mixed with recycled PB-particle in the core layer had a decreasing tendency, as the mixing ratios of recycled PB-particles increased. The dimensional stability of 3 layer recycled board was improved as the mixing ratio of recycled PB-particle increased same as in one layer. Formaldehyde emission of boards fabricated with recycled PB-particles in the core layer of the PB was in the range of E2 grade (below 5.0mg/l).

Effects of the Physicochemical Properties of Lignocellulosic Artificial Soil Containing Bacillus subtilis on the Growth of Lespedeza cyrtobotrya (Bacillus subtilis가 함유된 목질계 인공토양의 물리·화학적 특성이 참싸리 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we prepared lignocellulosic artificial soil that contains Bacillus subtilis (peat moss/perlite/ steam-exploded oak wood/microbial culture = 3:1:3:3, w/w/w/w) for use in the restoration of damaged soil areas. The prepared lignocellulosic artificial soil was mixed with soil at ratios of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. These mixed soils were then applied to fields, and the resultant physicochemical properties and their effects on the plant growth of Lespedeza cyrtobotrya were observed. The mixture of the prepared artificial soils (mixed at ratios of 25%-100%) with soil had a bulk densities of <$0.04g/cm^3$, porosities of >85%, pH values between 4.3 and 4.7, electrical conductivities of <0.5 dS/m, C/N ratios between 15.0 and 26.5, organic matter content between 23.6% and 43.2%, and bacterial densities between $157{\times}10^6$ and $624{\times}10^6CFU/g$. In addition, the prepared artificial soils mixed with soil at ratios of 25%-50% exhibited higher plant growth rates for L. cyrtobotrya compared with the control. Overall, we identified positive correlations between the plant growth of L. cyrtobotrya and soil bulk density, porosity, water-holding capacity, C/N ratio, organic matter, and bacterial densities.

An Experimental Study on the Reinforcing Effects of Mixtures of Vinyl Strip and Cement on the Sand Specimens (비닐스트립-시멘트 혼합 모래시편의 보강효과에 대한 실험연구)

  • The ever-increasing amount of waste vinyl is causing big environmental problems. In particular, those from farming industry are sometimes left on site or even illegally reclaimed due to the lack of environmental concerns and capacity for collection, which worsens the situation. It is, therefore, believed that the recycling of waste vinyl is the most ideal solution in the viewpoint of environmental preservation. In this context, the potential of vinyl strip as a ground reinforcing material is investigated to expand the application of waste vinyl recycling. In this study, a series of uniaxial compression tests and resonant column tests were performed for sand specimens reinforced with vinyl strips and cement to investigate their reinforcing effects on static and dynamic behaviors. The changes in the uniaxial compressive strength (UCS), the shear modulus and the damping ratio according to the mixing ratio of vinyl strips and cements were analysed for sand specimens, having 40% and 60% relative densities, under various mixing conditions. As a result, both the static and dynamic reinforcing effects of vinyl strip-cement mixture were confirmed and the optimum mixing ratio was proposed.
