The purpose of this research is to analyse the structural aspect of storytelling in contemporary cinema which is focused on the Apichatpong Weerasethakul's film. The structural/materialist filmmakers insisted the formal experiment of film form itself and the methodology to create meaning by using it. Apichatpong Weerasethakul accepted and recreated aesthetic result of the structural/materialist film to transform his own cinematic style. As a result, he expanded his film aesthetic to post-modern film aesthetics. For this, he created the structure of film by using diegetic and non-diegetic sound and image creatively. The conventional storytelling method of contemporary cinema is based on the classic theory of 'poetica' of Aristoteles, which creates illusory diegesis of cinema. but Apichatpong Weerasethakul seeks and re-constructs storytelling methodology based on the product of structural/materialist film.

Through Korean traditional opera (changgeuk) Medea, composer Hwang Ho-jun showed eclectic music idiom by 1) writing music (jakchang) on manuscript paper and score, 2) introducing the "song-through" format, 3) including various solo melodies, 4) maximizing the effect created by a singing narrator (dochang) with the chorus master and a mixed chorus, 5) seeking an interplay of tension and release by using both discord and chord, 6) achieving the effect of kil-bakkum, the Korean traditional method of modulation, through modulation and borrowed chord of Western music. In Medea, instrumentalists adopted suseong-banju (Korean traditional accompaniment) which does not spoil the voice of singers. Hwang adopted song for the way how singers express various hidden sides of play among song, aniri (narration) and balim (gesture) and introduced the Sung-through format in which the play is comprised entirely of song. In Medea, oral sounds expressing wail, lament, cheer, sneer and scream are often used and various solo melodies appear that fit for personalities of characters, clearly showing what bunchang (singers' singing songs divided according to characters) is all about. And discord and chord are effectively used according to the development and mood of play. Hwang also achieved successfully the effect of kil-bakkum by abandoning the traditional modulation method and boldly introducing modulation and borrowed chord of Western music.

The most difficult problem for mathematical Platonism is the epistemological problem raised by Paul Benacerraf and Hartley Field. Recently, Mark Balaguer argued that his version of mathematical Platonism, Full Blooded Plantonism (FBP), can solve the epistemological problem. In this paper, I show that there are serious problems with Balaguer's argument. First, I analyse Balaguer's argument and reveal a formal defect in his argument. Then I raise an objection based on an analogical argument. Finally, I disarm some potential moves from Balaguer.

The collective narratives on global crisis such as the displaced, uneven distribution of resources, invasion of human rights is more than a recurring theme or polemics in the fields of contemporary arts. In the latest projects from Olafur Eliasson, Rirkrit Tiravanija and Ai WeiWei, art works are presented as performative 'platforms' for tackling these undiscriminating reality of human conditions. Here, 'the users' as driving forces of possible change, are postulated as prospective actors/players who lead and collaborate to defy the status-quo. Crossing over the on/off lines, the everyday-activities of exchanging, sharing and networking are strategically deployed and its meaning reconfigured within the context of post/production discourse. This historical, yet unsettling juncture between art and life, dystopian reality and utopian idealism has its formal-conceptual links to Russian Constructivism, Brechtian Learning-Play and Joseph Beuys' Social Sculpture. Based on Nicolas Bourriaud's notion of Postproduction, this paper aims to provide a diachronic analysis on collaborative dispositions of participatory arts practices.

This study investigates differential impacts of the positive and negative content and the interaction with pacing, as a structural feature, on information processing while watching televised video clips with moderately intensive emotional tone. College participants watched six positive messages and six negative video clips lasting approximately 60 seconds. Heart rate was used to index attention and skin conductance was used to measure arousal. After all of the stimuli were shown, the participants performed the free recall questionnaire. The result demonstrates, first, positivity superiority on attention in which participants' heart rates were slower during positive content compared to during negative content. Secondly, negativity superiority was shown on free recall memory as participants remembered positive content better than did negative content. The result also manifests the interaction of emotional valence and pacing as the effects of pacing were less for the negatively emotional content compared to those for the positively emotional content. It is suggested that future studies should examine further about the differential and independent functions of positive and negative contents on information processing and the potential interaction with formal features.

Following the lead of Isaiah Berlin, many liberals favor a negative conception of liberty because it limits the amount of interference and coercion that the state has in individual's lives. Such moves leave individuals to place value on their life choices or step back and revise them if desired. It is one thing, however, to argue that modern republicanism characterized by liberty as non-domination contains an alternative conception of liberty.

This Paper introduces a historical background of mathematical logic. Logic and mathematics were not developed dependently until the mid of the nineteenth century, when two streams of logic and mathematics came to form a river so that brought forth synergy effects. Since the mid-nineteenth century mathematization of logic were proceeded while attempts to reduce mathematics to logic were made. Against this background $G{\ddot{o}}del's$ proof shows the limitation of formalism by proving that there are true arithmetical propositions that are not provable.

지금의 사회봉사에 대해 사회 일각에서는 자원봉사를 제도화함으로써 봉사가 강용될 뿐만 아니라 형식적으로 이루어지고 있어 본래 의미를 퇴색시키고 있다는 비판도 있다. 그러나 다른 한편으로 그간의 산업사회의 폐해와 배금주의로 인해 실종된 봉사의 덕목을 소생하고 생활화하는 것은 민족공동체 회복을 위해 바람직하다는 공감대가 형성되고 있다. 특히 자원봉사가 각급학교 교육에 제도화되고 있는 만큼 초.중.고교와 대학의 사회봉사를 연계하여 체계화할 필요성이 크다.
