Traceability Enhancement Technique for Dependency Relations of Software Artifacts based on the Integration of Software Configuration Management System and Personal Workspace (소프트웨어 형상관리 시스템과 개인 작업공간 통합 기반 산출물 의존 관계 추적성 개선 기법)

  • The ability to trace change history and dependency relations of software artifacts which are continuously changed has been recognized as an important factor that support quality management activities such as verification, validation, and testing in software system development process. General software configuration management systems provide tracing information for artifacts only within the configuration management system, and it does not go further to changes that occur within personal workspace. This paper provides a solution that helps tracing down not only changes of configuration items but also change history of artifacts existent in personal workspace through the integration of configuration management system and personal workspace. Furthermore, in cases of artifacts which are included in a configuration item, this paper provides a solution that support tracing dependency relations between the artifacts by identifying their version links. For the integration of configuration management system and personal workspace, a revision of configuration item is connected to the artifact's version of the workspace by the tagging mechanism, and traceability for change history and dependency relations of artifacts can be managed more effectively through integrated change process.

  • Software productivity and quality improvement through software configuration management is based on organized and consistent change management. In change management, artifact identified as configuration item should be able to provide its changed history to the members in group and the members should be able to track down the changes made for the corresponding artifact. General software configuration management systems provide tracking information for artifacts only within the configuration management system, and it does not go further to changes that occur within personal working space. This paper provides a solution that helps tracking down changes that occur not only in configuration management, but also personal artifact's changes through the integration of configuration management system and personal working space. A revised version in configuration management system is connected to the artifact version of the working space by the tagging technique, and traceability can be managed more effectively by sharing the tracking information.

  • 본 고에서는 고속중형컴퓨터(주전산기 III, TICOMII)개발과정에서 생성되는 문서, 하드웨어제품, 그리고 소프트웨어제품과 같은 형상항목과 이러한 형상항목들로 이루어진 형상에 대한 형성 및 변경, 그리고 형상정보를 관리하는 형상관리체계를 설명한다. 그리고 이러한 형상관리체계에 따라 효율적이며, 체계적으로 형상관리업무를 수행하기 위한 형상 관리용 소프트웨어 자동화 도구 (HCMS: Hicom Configuration Management System)의 구현 및 적용에 대해 기술한다.

  • This study aims to methodology a system which is able to monitor and configuration management of long span bridge in real time using multi GPS. Through setting up many GPS at the important points of long span bridge and measuring displacement in real time, over all 3D configuration of bridge could be analyzed. Behavior analyzing system developed in this study is able to digitize and visualize the overall and points displacement of bridge and deal with events actively. Also it is able to calculate statistical data related to analyze behavior through the constricting database of measuring data.

  • The importance of software is getting high in development of the digital device (digital camcoder, digital camera, mp3 player, ....). And because the sire of software becomes larger and complicated, the necessity of software configuration management (to solves a software crisis) is increased. The general software configuration management system shows lack of the property and features of software development environment for image processing algorithm due to its wide range to be covered. Image processing algorithm development environment has properties like repetitive analysis and simulation using visual programming environment where, beside support of elementary development functions. component(or library) can be combined and tested interactively. Moreover, the method to look fast and effectively for component having similar function is required. In this paper, we present the system which supports the software configuration management method for a simulation tool and the property in the visual programming environment. And we relate our system to real simulation tool so as to check its ability as the software configuration management system for image processing algorithm development environment.

  • Configuration and data management system for weapon system research and development processes should assist concurrent engineering and collaboration activities for various documents, drawings, part informations and product structure informations. In this thesis we defined the system architecture using the CBD methodology and implemented the component based system development process. Most of the configuration and data management systems consist of three layered system architecture which use the general MVC models. In this thesis we defined four layered system architecture based on EJB structure under J2EE environments. Through the four layered system architecture, we break down the general model layer into two detailed business layers and the ordinary control layer into two system dependent layers. With these four layers, we proposed the methodology that detailed the characteristics of the components. Through the CBD approach and the component based development process, we can get the representation model and implement the actual system of the configuration and data management system for weapon system R&D.

  • In this paper, we develop an integrated management/monitoring system that supports to dynamically reconfigure information models for systems or applications managed by heterogeneous distributed systems. When the subsystems on diverse platforms are added, removed, or modified, the altered configurations should conform to the configuration information of the integrated management/monitoring system. Further, upon the system configurations being changed, the altered system configurations should be synchronized with the information on the integrated management/monitoring system. Moreover, availability should be assured during synchronization to the extent that users can access the monitoring information with no system halting. This paper focuses on notifying the integrated management/monitoring system of any changes in hardware/software configurations on any subsystems under its management, and on dynamically re-configuring the information about hardware and software being managed based on the information notified. Finally, we expect that this research will be contributory to carrying out reliable integrated management by reflecting the information on any heterogeneous distributed systems in the integrated management/monitoring system.

  • A software configuration management(SCM) is essential for processing large scale project. The scope of SCM involves each developer's work space management, software building management, and development process control as wet] as version control. In this paper we focus on what parts should be controlled systematically for the optimized software build that is an important part of the SCM. We also analyze that to increase the efficiency of software build, what kind of configuration management information should be reported. Based on the analysis, we have actually designed and implemented a new reporting system and evaluated it. The evaluation includes comparative evaluation in efficiency based on the analysis about the related functions provided by existing tools and some additional qualitative evaluation through the questionnaires from stakeholders.

  • 최근 기업에서 구축하는 IT 아키텍쳐가 점점 복잡해져 가는 환경변화에 따라 각 시스템 구성요소의 조건이나 특성을 저장하는 설정파일(Configuration file)의 중요성이 강조되고 있지만, 대부분의 형상관리시스템이 응응 소프트웨어를 중심으로 구성되어 설정파일의 특징을 반영한 활동에 한계를 갖고 있다. 또한 품질보증 목적으로 수행하는 형상감사 활동도 응용 소프트웨어를 대상으로 품질중심 감사 활동이 이루어지면서, 등록된 개별 소프트웨어 별로 변경통제와 버전관리가 이루어져 설정 파일이 포함되는 경우 버전 무결성 차원의 문제를 적발하지 못하는 문제가 있다. 이 논문에서는 추가적으로 필요한 감사활동 요구기능을 정의하고, 동일한 원본에서 배포된 설정파일들이 서로 버전이 다르게 관리 될 수 있는 문제를 감사(Audit)를 통해 탐지할 수 있는 버전 무결성 감사 프레임워크를 제시한다. 제안하는 프레임워크는 기존 형상관리 개념과 액티비티, 프로세스를 기반으로 감사기능을 보완한다. 이를 통해 기존 감사활동에 버전 무결성 검증을 수행하는 형상감사 기능이 포함되며, 이는 설정파일의 버전 차이에 의해 사전/사후 발생될 장애, 오동작 등의 문제 해결에 활용된다. 이 논문에서 제안 프레임워크의 검증을 위하여 웹 시스템 기반 자바환경으로 구현하였고, 현장 적용한 부분을 평가 함으로써 검증하였다.
