현대 사회를 살아가는 교양을 갖춘 시민과 지혜로운 소비자가 되기 위해서 통계적 지식 및 확률적 지식은 필수적인 능력으로 간주된다. 자료 주도적 확률과 통계의 학습이란 학생들이 스스로 자료를 수집하고, 조직하고, 표현하고, 해석하는 직접적인 활동을 통해 확률과 통계의 개념, 원리의 터득은 물론 추론과 의사소통능력, 문제해결력 등을 기를 수 있는 학습형태로서, 이런 학습을 완수한 학생들은 수학의 유용성 및 실생활과의 연결성을 더 잘 이해할 수 있게 된다. 따라서, 모든 확률과 통계 수업에서는 실제자료를 학생들이 직접 다루는 활동이 수행되어야 하며, 이를 위한 테크놀로지의 적절한 사용이 병행되어야 한다. 이 글에서는 이러한 자료 주도적 확률과 통계의 학습의 예와 그에 병행되는 그래픽 계산기의 활용 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

고종 원년(甲子) 1864년부터 1945년까지 발행된 한국의 역서(曆書)에 대하여 연구하였다. 이 시기에는 갑오개혁, 태양력 시행, 일제 강점기 등의 역사적 사건으로 인하여 천문현상 자료와 시각법(時刻法), 편찬 기관과 직제 등 역서의 내용에 많은 변화가 있었다. 1864년부터 1908년까지의 역서의 시각 자료는 96각법으로 표기하였고 1909년부터는 현행 시각과 동일한 방식으로 표기하였다. 1913년부터 역서의 속표지에는 역서에 사용한 시각의 기준에 대한 설명이 기술되어 있다. 또한 역서의 내용과 함께 역서를 편찬한 기관과 직제에 많은 변화가 있었는데 특히 1894년 갑오개혁이후로 급격한 변화를 겪었다. 일출입(日出入) 시각은 시기에 따라 발표일 간격이 달라졌으며 후반에는 여러 지역의 자료를 수록하였다. 그 밖에 역서에 수록된 각종 일력(日曆) 자료의 분석을 통해 그 정확도를 살펴보았으며, 일월식(日月食)과 행성 현상에 관한 자료 등을 현대 방법으로 계산하여 검토하였다. 아울러 역서의 보급과 활용에 관한 사항도 함께 살펴보았다.

인터넷이 현대 사회에 미치는 영향은 아직은 미미하나 갈수록 그 영향은 확대돼 가고 있다. 90년대에 들어 갑자기 여러 생활에 많은 영향을 미치고 있는데 가장 심각한 영향을 주고 있는 곳 중에 하나가 바로 도서관이다. 현재의 도서관은 하나의 도서관 뿐만 아니라 전지구에 있는 모든 도서관 자료를 이용할 수 있으며 인터넷에 있는 수많은 콘텐트를 함께 이용함에 따라 변화를 필연적으로 겪을 수 밖에 없다.

컴퓨터에 의한 대량의 정보집적과 관리는 개인의 프라이버시 침해가능성을 높이고 있다. 악명높았던 지존파가 현대백화점 고객명단을 확보하여 차례로 납치 살해하려던 계획을 털어놓았던 것처럼 41개의 개인신상정보를 수록, 관리하는 전자주민카드도 이 자료가 제3의 범죄조직에 넘어가는 경우 개인은 속수무책이기 때문에 철저한 대비책이 절실하다.

산업화된 현대 사회의 다양한 대중 문화 속에서 새로운 미적 가치를 지니며 하나의 문화 현상으로 나타나고 있는 키치(kitsch)는 기성세대의 사고 방식을 부정하고 기존의 고정관념에서 벗어나 파괴라는 형태를 통해서 자신을 부각시키는 미적 부적절성을 내포하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 키치의 대중적인 취향과 미적 특성의 실증적인 자료를 통해서 97년 이후의 키치적 요소의 헤어스타일을 분석하였다.

The historical drama played on TV in 2003, Daejanggeum is originally based on the short historical record of lady doctor of the palace from the [Jungjong record] of Josun. The drama mixed fiction and historic record well together draw enormous interest and became a novel, musical and animation for children. Also the location of shooting drama became a theme park to attract travelers and the name 'Daejanggeum' was used for products to create great additional value. Most of all, the drama then was exported to overseas and became the representing drama of Korea. Therefore, drama is the representing piece that proved the success of historic data with its application as various modern cultural contents. The analysis of success reason of showed the creation of new modern woman character, fresh selection of the item that suits well in the time of desiring wellbeing, the strong drama scenario with different story development compared to previous historic drama. Also, it used 'one source multi use' method prior to the broadcasting and prepared production of various cultural contents. This success of Daejanggeum means a lot from the point of 'modern acceptance of tradition' to tradition researchers.

Scarf has played an important role not only as keeping warm of human body but also as accessory of clothes. These days with taking a growing interest of accessory, scarf had thrown off a subsidiary part and gradually had a leading place which guides the overall mode of fashion. Because scarf design of Korea does not get out of imitation step of foreign countries brands it is necessary to develop the scarf design which can show the cultural identity and originality of Korea in international society. Therefore in this study, I chose lotus flower patterns expressed on Buncheon pottery and Korean traditional patchwork cloth as the subject material of scarves design development, and my intention for this study is to develop scarves designs of Korean images by adding modern scenes. For that, first I researched lotus flower patterns expressed on Buncheon pottery and Korean traditional patchwork cloth. Among those materials, I selected to had been presented modern image. And by using computer design program of adobe illustrator 10.0 I designed the basic patterns of three types and developed the square scarves design and rectangle scarves design with those.

Traditional role of library is focused on the book collection and its reference service. However, library should be stressed the need of educational activity in the future. This study described to classify the roles of public library, which are book collecting and its reference services, educational activities, event place service for region community. Observation survey on the public libraries in Boston and its Vicinity shows that public libraries have various children's programs and they are getting more important roles. Public libraries of case study have done not only the roles for reference service space but also the informal lifelong education institute for region community. Library as the informal lifelong education institute deserve special emphasis on the development of education program.

Various materials, depending on the personality of the artist, are required for contemporary art. Thus, it is necessary to decipher the expressive intentions of the artist and characteristics of the materials required for the conservation of such art. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes underlying the deterioration of sculptures made from soap and to determine the ideal hygrothermal environment required to stably exhibit and store these artworks. Furthermore, we aim to maintain the long-term structures of the artworks in accordance with the changing expressions and intentions of the artist. Our analysis confirmed that the extracts of the soap sculptures were composed of glycerin and that the sculptures were sensitive to humidity. Moreover, we determined that a relative humidity (RH.) of approximately 60~65% made for an appropriate hygrothermal environment required to preserve the sculptures. We also preserved each work in various ways by applying appropriate preservation treatment, and found that the optimum preservation environment for soap sculptures was a temperature of 20±2℃ and a RH. of 60±5%.
